Faye has loved Terry for forever. He's utterly clueless. She's just about done waiting on him to finally notice her. Whatever it takes, she just wants one night with him (or so she thinks). Who cares about his girlfriend?
I read this in about 10 minutes and it was 10 minutes well spent. Faye was relentless and I loved her for it. Terry was baffled and he put up a token fight, but it seemed that this attraction was bubbling beneath the surface, for both of them, for quite some time. And dang, when they came together, they really came together! As hot as they were, it's no wonder this wasn't the end of their story. I wonder what happens next...

Just Once it's a short friends to lovers a little fun romance story. The story is great and with potential, a little rushed I might say, but it's OK for a short story.
Faye and Terry are best friends since...forever...since they were kids, they were neighbors, they went to school together, they were together almost all the time. Now they have grown and they're in college.
It's New Year Eve and Faye and Terry are studying together, at least Terry is. Faye is dreaming with her eyes open. She loved Terry since they were kids, but Terry had eyes always for other girls, except for her. He never saw Faye no matter what she did. She did everything, but all was in vain...And now Terry was in love, he has a girlfriend. But Faye wants one night...Just one night.But what happens after that one night? Well, you need to read this short story to know what happened. 😀 The book ends on a small cliffy so the story will be continued, but if you’re looking for a quick and hot read, this book is for you.

Loved the cover. Figured I’d love the book.
Unfortunately it just wasn’t for me.
It’s just a short little story of pretty much pure porn.
I openly cringed while reading, “please sir can I have some more”.

Just Once by L.M. Mountford is the First book in the Just Friends Series. This is a quick read that gives us a taste of this authors writing. There are some hot scene that make you want more. I hope that the next book is more length since this book tease me so much to want more.

This is the first book in a new series, and is a short, quick read. Faye and Terry are best friends’. This is a well written story which is steamy, Personal preference I would have liked this story to be longer, however, this does not distract from this talented authors’ writing style. I look forward to reading more in this series, and recommend for all.

This is a short story to short for me but there is more to come so I hear and I hope so because I have so many questions that plagued me while I was reading this. I will say that the chemistry between these two has always been there and I am not sure why they didn't try anything but maybe their friendship meant more to them then dating.
Faye loves Terry and Terry has dated off and on and now that they are in college Terry is in love and Faye is crushed. All she wants is one night with Terry to get him out of her system but when they have that one night it is amazing and what happens from there you will have to read this to find out.

Hot new story
This is a Cliffhanger!!! This is the beginning of their new story, after having had mind-blowing sex just once. They have been best friends since childhood. She's been in love with him for years, but he had eyes for everyone else but her. Their story will continue in the next book "Just Friends"

8/28/22 still a 3.5 read
Well I’ll be, that has to be the quickest book I think I have ever read....less than 20 minutes and it was hot. The internal banter was great and really helped build not only the story line but the suspense of Will they or won’t they. I enjoyed Faye and Terry so I will definitely be reading their next book Just Friends

Being my first read from this author I’m definitely intrigued by his writing! It is a short read and you jump right into the drama with this friends to lovers read. I was only put off by one aspect of this book and it’s not the authors fault but my own personal opinion which I try not to take that out on my rating.
The book is written in a different point of view than I use to and took me a minute but I quickly got the gist after the first chapter. I do have to say that Faye is like most typical girls now days. I couldn’t believe how bold she was to do what she did....part of me wanted to believe something crazy would’ve happened, like her being questioned by the police but that didn’t happen, something crazier happened.
Terry.... or poor Terry has gotten in a pickle with his best friend and considering their friendship and many other issues I saw the ending coming. What I didn’t see coming is that end end of the book coming! But that does make me antsy for the next book though. Even though I do have some issues with the book, the writing style and the overall FREAKING HOT of this book has me wanting more!!! This was an extremely short friends to lovers romance, and although it lacked in length, it showed a lot of potential. Since it was only 30 something pages, the story felt a bit rushed, but the author didn’t skimp on the sexy times.
Faye has been in love with her childhood friend Terry for years. During a late-night study session, she decides to make her move, even though Terry has a girlfriend that he’s supposedly in love with. Penny For My Thoughts:
Just Once is a friends to lovers romantic book featuring Faye and Terry. If *cheating* makes you uncomfortable, this book isn't for you.
I found this book okay and finished the read within 15 minutes. It was quick and fast paced without anything to lose. Faye, a gorgeous woman who has been friends with Terry finds him attractive and loves him dearly. She'd give anything to make him love her back. What she doesn't know is Terry worries about their dynamism of friendship. What if he messes up just because they have sex? Many questions make a web in his mind but one night of hot, passionate sex has his wheels turning in different direction. It is shown that he dates almost anyone, but Faye. Which of course bothers her the most but she nonetheless gives him quite a hard time over all.
The book ends on a cliffhanger with both of them finally giving into their desire and all there's left is to think about the consequences, thereof. Their story will continue in Book #2 Just Friends.

This was a short intro book by LM Mountford
I liked it, it was straight to the point, without any critical thinking.
Yes it was short. But Mountford promised a continuation of this story so he better provide.
Faye is in love and lust with her childhood best friend Terry. Terry feels the same. They give in one night and fireworks explode. HOT. Although if my high school kids talked that dirty I’d have a heart attack lol! It’s unclear their age so I’m speculating. Don’t take me serious on it. It is intended for mature audiences, which I am so it works out.
Short, steamy, and sweet.
I’ll be waiting for the continuation.

You feel the angst of Faye's unrequited love and the frustration that Terry's seeming oblivion is causing her. You feel Terry's confusion, as well as his clear desire to do the right thing.
I like the writing style of this new-to-me author. Though the book is short, he did a great job of showing how close the relationship was before attraction figured into it. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Why oh why is there a cliffhanger and when can I get book two?
This was my first time reading a book by this author. I liked the story and the emotional suspense/or tension whatever you may want to call it were really well described. I liked both characters, the female MC was very relatable, which is also nice and made the book that much more enjoyable. The only thing that killed me was the ending (I didn't realize it was going to be a multi book series). Why oh why is there a cliffhanger😮😒 and when can I get book two? (Naturally I had to follow the author after that😂) Over all I enjoyed this quick read and look forward to trying more of this author's work.

This was a short story. Terry and Faye are childhood friends and are in college together. Faye has had a crush on Terry since she was a child. With time passing she realized she was in love with him. Its been hard for her seeing him date. I think we can all relate to having a crush but we dont know if they feel the same. Life is full of surprises. Its what we make of it. What did Faye make of her time with Terry? I really enjoyed this book, really wish it was longer. Thank you United Indie Book blog for allowing me to read this book.

This was a really quick and steamy read. It became really steamy once Faye made her move on Terry, that is. The way that the story jumped from one POV to another, gave you a chance to see that the attraction was definitely not one sided. They both wanted each other so bad that once they came together there was no holding back.
I liked this story, so don't let the rating that I gave give you the wrong idea. I only wish that theor story wasnt broken up into little parts. I would have loved to have been able to go right into the next part without having to go into another book.

Wow!! This is an amazing short story!! I was hooked right from the beginning all the way to the end!! Faye and Terry have been friends forever, they have also wanted eachother forever but have never acted on those feelings!! This book is hot, sexy, steamy and it leaves you wanting more!! Famous last words Just once, one night between friends just once!! Can they handle the consequences of one night?? You will have to read it to find out!! I highly recommend it and I can't wait for the next book in this series!!

This novella starts strong with two characters you can relate to and things just get steamier from there. The tension between the two just keeps mounting until we finally get some really explosive moments that are just awesome. But then it goes right to the ending leaving you so wanting more. I cannot wait for the full length story fro them to come out. I need it now!! Great fr fans of short steamy novellas. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

This book was so much fun! Terry and Faye were a match from early on in their lives. The questions is to be b.c series for life and not be anything more or risk it all on a single night? What to do? Will they risk it? Pick up your copy to find out! So worth it! I am eagerly waiting for more from this author! A definite must read. I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy of the book.

Faye and Terry are best friends who have taken care of each other since their childhood. Faye has feelings for Terry past their friendship but doesn't act on it for fear it would ruin their friendship. She can only take so much, and when Terry gets a girlfriend she decides she will take matters into her own hands. A quick easy read filled with drama, passion, love, and crazy good chemistry. Only wish this story was longer so we could enjoy more of their journey together.

This was a short read which only took me less than an hour. It was a little bit dirty but all so good. I can't wait for the next book called Just friends which continues the story about Faye and Terry. So give this author a chance and read it. BTW this was the first book I've read from this author. I got this as an arc in exchange for my unbiased opinion.

Its a shortie but a Good set up for a next novel. Faye is in Love with Her best friends Terry. It was well written with Her thoughts. The needs The Love, everything she needs from him.

Can friends hookup once without consequences? Faye and Terry are best friends that have been secretly attracted to each other. Neither one of them has acted on their feeling until one New Year's Eve when their close proximity gets too be too much. Just Once is a hot and sexy quick read that will leave you wanting more.

The premise of the book was good. It was extremely relatable, but it is a very quick read, so the setup and ending are rushed. The 😉meaty😉 middle is well described and you can feel the longing coming each character. The next book is called Just friends which will continue the story about Faye and Terry.

This short story grabs you right from the beginning and leaves you wanting more. It starts off being calm and mysterious and quickly increases the heat too intense and spicy hot. Looking forward to the next one.

So HOT!! This is a quick steamy sizzling read. Terri and Faye are best friends that hide their attraction for each other, both afraid to act on it. After a night of passion, will they be able to remain friends? I'm looking forward in seeing what happens in book #2. If you're looking for a hot and titillating read, then this book is for you.
