Sawyer Bennett's Wicked Horse series is one of the best and hottest she's written. So when it ended, I was sad to see it go, but I was stoked when she announced the Wicked Horse Vegas! Similar concept in one of the flashiest, sexiest cities in the country.

Jerico Jameson is the owner of the Wicked Horse Vegas and he's about as alpha as they come. He's former military and he still does some work for the government through his other business, The Jameson Group and he's bitter. He's a man that was hurt very deeply by the woman he loved and a man who he thought was a good friend. After that, he shut down the part of him that does relationships and all he focuses on now is the pleasure he can get every night at the Wicked Horse from different people - he never does repeats.

Trista Barnes needs help and she happens to be the sister of the man that wronged Jerico. She has stepped up to help her family out when no one else would, but now she's in a situation where she owes a great sum of money, but she just doesn't have it and her window to pay it back is shrinking. Her brother has told her to speak to Jerico, who owes him a favor, and he should be able to help. When Trista approaches Jerico she really has no idea what she's getting into, she just knows that he is going to be able to help. Jerico gives her a job for a month in exchange for the money he will give her to pay off her debt. Seems simple, but is it really?

As Trista learns not only about her new tasks at work, she also learns about the lifestyle at the Wicked Horse and she's definitely intrigued. Jerico is also intrigued by Trista; intrigued in a way that he hasn't been since his former fiancee. The two enter into an agreement for sex where Jerico can teach Trista all about life at the club and it provides a way for Jerico to get revenge on Trista's brother for his past wrongs. The only question is will this plan succeed or will it end up blowing up in Jerico's face?

This book is a sexy slow burn that is full of chemistry and is sizzling hot! Sawyer Bennett continues to hit it out of the park with these books and I can't wait for the next one!

Wicked Favor, by Sawyer Bennett is a contemporary romance novel and is the first book out of a 9-book series. And since this is a 9-book series, you can expect reviews by this author pretty back to back for the next few weeks as I go through the books. It is written from a first-person POV, two-sided.

Sawyer is an author who generally writes dirty, dirty sex scenes, at least in this book and this is the first book I've read from this author. Considering this series is based around "The Wicked Horse", which is a Vegas sex club, you can expect some dirtiness. So if you're someone who is looking for some dirty read (which there is nothing wrong with that) this is the book for you.

Spoilers Ahead ***

Trista owes someone twenty-five thousand dollars and she has until the end of the month to pay him back. She didn't use the money for nefarious deeds, she needed the money to pay for her six-year old niece's heart surgery, but now the person who loaned her the money stopped by and smacked her around for not having his first payment. She doesn't know where to turn so here she is, beaten and bruised, in the Wicked Horse tracking down the owner, Jerico for a favor.

Jerico is not pleased when Trista shows up demanding a favor from him with the reminder that she owed her brother as he had saved his life. He does not grant favors and the way Trista approached him, it's clear that she isn't aware that her brother is his enemy, since the last time he'd seen Trista's brother he had left him beaten on the floor. He forms a plan to show Trista the salacious parts of what being the owner of a sex club does and bring her along for the ride. His plan is simple, have videos and pictures of Trista performing dirty acts with him and send it to her brother as pay back.

Overall, I found the characters likeable.

Generally, here are my thoughts:

1. The meet cute was awesome
2. Depending on the person who reads this book you could find the hero reprehensible with how he plans to uses Trista for revenge against her brother, but it didn't bother me. The reason it didn't is because this is a romance, romance writers will take damaged characters and show that they can grow and be turned to "the light", so to speak.
3. I enjoyed the back and forth dynamic. A lot of time in books where there is an alpha male, the women tend to be pretty submissive throughout, I appreciate that Trista had a backbone
4. The ending was nicely wrapped up. The book does read as a standalone, so there is no hint into the next book

In summary, I give this a 4 out of 5.

I loved the Wicked Horse series and was so excited that Sawyer Bennett continued it on in Las Vegas!!! Loved this book so much!! When Trista needs money to pay for a hospital bill she is told by her brother Jayce to borrow from Wicked Horse owner Jericho. As Trista works to repay the loan she finds that Jericho and her have a lot of chemistry!!! This book was smoking hot!!! Loved this couple and can't wait for book 2!! The story had me in, quite literally. I gave up my sleep and dedicated those 5 hours in reading the story which didn't let me down, one bit. The concept of narrating both perspectives were awesome, it made me feel good about everything being consensual and mutual.
The idea of removing taboo about both genders possessing sexual fantasies is much appreciated.
Totally worth giving up those 5 hours of sleep and reaching red-eyed to work!
