- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 April 2019Wow a breathtaking piece of writing.
the first few chapters were a punch to the gut forming your bond with the beautifully written characters, you cannot help but fall in love with cami, Aiden and Bailey. It's a story of loss and family and all the emotions that go with it. I couldn't put this one down because I wanted to know everything about them to know them better.
If you've looking for ott love scenes then move along, but if you're looking for something really special, heartbreaking and an absolute emotional rollercoaster then look no further. M Robinson writes from the heart with believable characters and dialogue.
Would I recommend this, definitely. A truly beautiful story which doesn't end here.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 March 2019As soon as I found out Aiden & Bailey were getting their own story, I was delighted. I’ve wanted Aiden’s story forever, & I gotta day it was well worth the wait.
It landed with such an epic gut punch. Talk about a book sucking you in sharp from the off, I couldn’t tear my eyes away even if I wanted to I loved it that much.
Aiden near damn killed me come the end, while Camilla in fairness won my heart, even though she was un expected.
It’s not a long read as it’s split into two books, but the twists & turns kept me hooked & wanting more. Can’t not wait for book 2 ~ Roll on May.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 March 2019This book made me cry .. the first 5 pages
It will leave you with so many questions
But ...
M Robinson is in my top five authors who I KNOW that anything they write I will fall in love with..
She has the writing style that is so amazing and makes you so invested you feel these character emotions so deep in your bones it feels like it’s really happening right there In the room with you.
My heart was definitely heavy after reading but it was worth it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 July 2019I devoured this book in like 3 hours. M really did deliver with this book as she dies with all of them. Not so heavy on the angst (although it is there) but SUPER heavy on the heartbreak. As much as I wanted to throttle Aiden, my heart broke for him more. Not a huge Bailey fan but have to know more about her and hopefully see more of Camila and her bright, vibrant and positive outlook in book 2.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 March 2019I don't know what to make of this story I don't know if I liked it or not really It's a weird one for me. In the blurb there is no mention of someone called Camile but her character took up the majority of the story. the main protagonists of Bailey and Aiden were absent from the present day telling of the story and only made appearances in the prologue and ending of the story and in flashback chapters of their childhood. This is part one of a duet but I just wasn't feeling it or invested in the characters or storyline enough to want to read part two.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 October 2020What on earth did I just read? I have been in a bit of a book funk and had put off reading this as I wasn’t sure if I had to start from the beginning again ( Good ol Boys❤️) but it all came flooding back and oh how I have missed them and the Jameson brothers. Dr Aiden Pierce, holy hotness...... Camila is a student nurse trying to pay her way through nursing college and she becomes a nanny for 3 children that in itself brings its problems, how she dealt with each problem had me both in awe and laughing. Camila has never, ever, met the parents of these children and here lies the twists and turns of this book.......so,so good, had me on the edge of my seat and that ending.........I need to go and find out what happens, I just know it is going to be epic ❤️❤️
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 April 2019This author hooked me from the minute I started reading Choosing Us. She sucked me straight in with the most heart rending prologue I’ve read in a long time, one which had me desperately turning the pages, needing to know what the heck had happened!
The story is told by way of chapters from the present and flashback chapters from Aiden and Bailey’s childhood. Beautifully written, those chapters from the past were full of love and loss, survival and friendship and were, at times, especially hard to read. I don’t always enjoy books told this way, but for Choosing Us this works extremely well. The contrast between the past and present took me on a huge rollercoaster ride of emotions and I couldn’t get enough. I’m not sure yet if I like adult Aiden, I don’t have enough information about him in the present and so I’m reserving my judgment. Aiden as a child, however, was amazing, albeit sometimes he was a little too old and articulate for his years in my opinion. A gutsy, yet scared and vulnerable little boy, he never gave up and, as he grew, his kindness and strength shone through.
Choosing Us is quite a different kind of book from those we’ve been used to from this author in the recent past and I can say it certainly won’t be what you expect. Yes there’s plenty of angst but there’s humour too, courtesy of one feisty young woman who plays a very important role. I liked her very much and am hugely intrigued by her. I have a feeling she may have an even bigger part to play, a bigger contribution to the story than we are led to believe. I certainly hope so, I love a good misdirection. There’s so much mystery here, a puzzle we’re being given one piece at a time. I don’t want to say too much about the plot, as it appears the blurb has been kept deliberately vague and I don’t want to spoil it. I believe in order to fully enjoy it you need to go in blind, open minded and without any preconceived ideas.
This is book one of a duet, with book two, Choosing You, out next month and I can’t wait to read it. Cliffhangers don’t generally bother me but I know some readers prefer to wait until a story is complete before starting it and so I will confirm it does end on a cliffy and one heck of an ambiguous one to boot!

5.0 out of 5 stars Soul shattering
The first of many years fell during Chapter 1. Yes only a few pages in and M. Robinson had my heart breaking and my soul in pieces. The emotional impact that this story will leave behind is unlike any other. The love and devotion these characters share is heartwarming and the devastation they feel is earth shattering. M. Robinson has given readers the perfect love story and I felt as if I was in the room watching it all unfold.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just flipping wow!!!
Breathtakingly awesomeness between these pages! After reading several books from this author, several things I know I am guaranteed: a story filled with characters that I love/hate at the same time, enough twists and turns to make me dizzy and so much feels: heartache, joy, intrigue. I thought my heart would burst from emotion. And finally, I’m know I’m in for a story leaving me wanting more. Choosing Us is no different and complete masterpiece in the Pierced Hearts duet. Bailey, Aiden and Camila intertwine in an such an indelible way, I had to take a couple hours to write this review!
Choosing Us starts with an intense, emotional beginning yet it was an ending of sorts. Yes, you read that right. I quickly got immersed into the relationship/love of Aiden and Bailey and then wham! Sub plot 2 is in my face and I’m like “okay then, here we go!” Enter miss sassy pants Camila with a heart of gold and the Pierce kids. I loved her interactions with all the Pierce kids, especially with... Jackson, believe it or not. She inherently knew what each kid needed and she opened her heart in the way they needed. Then, wham again. The visceral intensity between Aiden and Camila, fellllla! I came to the last page and felt a little shredded yet a hell of whole lot of screaming internally, give me more damn it!!!
I can safely say Part 1 in this duet is a major success and a definite 5 star read. Is it May already?! Arggghh I can’t wait for Part 2. Lordy!

5.0 out of 5 stars My heart . Oh my heart .
This book has ripped my heart out in so many ways . I’m devastated , torn . I want sure what I was expecting but that wasn’t it . And I really can’t review it properly because that ending ...
I know this is a duet (thank god ) and thankfully I’ve read enough of this authors books to trust that she will piece my heart back together ... but be prepared to need to move to the next book straight away . This book is how everything falls apart ... man I hope things spits up fast for this whole family from this rock Bottom .
Just .... brilliant writing . Everything I expect from
This author .

5.0 out of 5 stars Heart 💕 wrenchingly Maddeningrly OMG
How can M. Robinson take a story of a young child who is left orphaned because his mom died leaving him with no father, the man who was his father, left before he was born. She evidently had no living relatives, so her son was left all of a sudden with no one and the sad, gut wrenching part for me was he was not able to go back in and say goodbye 😿 to his mom. Even though she knew she was going to die and she tried to prepare him, how do you prepare a 8 year old boy to be strong when he has no one but you. This story is so filled with unbelievable angst. He meets his soul mate Bailey Buttons in his first group home, he runs out the house and hides underneath this slide and starts crying and talking to his mother and he remembers she said he would meet someone that will love him like she did and she knew he would because she was going to send the person to him, next thing you know Bailey is up in his face with that cute little voice and offers him some food and jumps in his arms and they were inseparable after that as much as possible. At 18 Bailey, Aiden's Belle, became Mr. & Mrs Aiden Pierce. They were compared to the movie Beauty and the Beast and that is what their marriage looked like. Aiden even had the presence of mind to have it filmed, which I think he did because he be knew at any moment your Loved ones can be taken with you and sometimes there is nothing you can do about it. Throughout this part one of Dr. Aiden Pierce and Bailey Pierce's story we are left wondering what happened to Bailey Pierce here she had this lovely home and beautiful children, ones they named before they had them. They did have those beautiful children Jackson 13, Jagger 11 and baby Journey 6 months old. So what happened to Bailey, is she dead as and if she is what did she die of. This story is good even though it pulled all my emotions 😂🤔😹😊🤔.
