Once again, this author has managed to produce a book that is unlike anything else I've read! She managed to include a insta-love story (which I adore!) as well as motorcycles, police officers, a HEA, and a mystery spanning generations! This book was fun, plus we got updates on some of our favorite characters from previous books, and there were surprises around every corner! I just can't ask for more in a book!
Piper is the daughter of Sam and Cheyenne Mackenzie (Boomtown). She grew up surrounded by love, and support. She went into the Army, and now she is on the way home. Jonah's story isn't a happy one. He had a neglectful childhood, and then lost the only career he'd ever loved. Needless to say, he's a bit bitter. But on glance of Piper is all it takes to turn his head (and his life!) around. Crazy circumstances, lead to a wedding that is a bit reminiscent of another (Trance & Viddie!).
There was so much going on in this book, I can't even begin to explain how awesome it was! I loved the instant connection between Piper and Jonah. I loved seeing how perfect they were for each other. I enjoyed the update on previous characters, and the quirky mystery that cropped up in their story was just plain fun! This book was everything that we love about a LLV story, and so much more!

Fantastic, must read!
Lani I loved it! It Wasn't Me definitely fits as the title. This is to me a romantic comedy of sorts with some serious moments. The title is never explained enough but fits just the same.Piper and Jonah it seems were on a crash course to meet and fate was there to give them the push.Chance incidents brought them together on different occasions and next thing they know they're on their way to the car auction in Vegas. The day after is when the story gets good. What happens in Vegas may not stay in Vegas with these two. These two characters are both strong and witty. Each with a sense of love and passion for things and Country.Once I started it kept me interested. This is a comedy of errors that may lead to more seriousness. Fate always has a plan and Lani did a great job of using it to bring Piper and Jonah together. It's a bit slow them speeds up a bit then fast forwards. It's still a good read and worth it. 5 Stars!
