This was even better than the first one! Watching the dance between Kader and Laurel is so interesting. I'm trying to figure him out at the same time she is. I'm really enjoying the weaving in of familiar characters - I don't want to say any more than that and ruin anything. In true Aleatha fashion, she left the story at the perfect part to leave you wanting more! I'll be over here (im)patiently waiting for book 3!

I was once again spellbound by the second book of Aleatha Romig’s Tangled Wed series, Obsessed. This was a page turner with all the suspense, intrigue and edge of your seat interactions between Kader and Laurel. Revelations are made about Kader and he continues to surprise me with his one minute caring for Laurel and the next he just might kill her. Their chemistry is off the charts and the ending once again left me with an “I can’t believe that is happening” moment. I can’t wait to see where this story goes in the final installment.

Obsessed: preoccupied with or haunted by some idea, interest, etc. : being in a state of obsession. That is exactly me. I'm obsessed with the Tangled Web series by Aleatha Romig with Obsessed being book number 2.

Aleatha carefully and intentionally draws the reader in with Laurel and Kader's story. There are so many layers to our tragically beautiful Kader and Aleatha literally teases her readers by lifting one sleeve at a time. Obsessed is a wild combination of mystery and mayhem with Kader standing in the middle of this tornado and Laurel placed dangerously in his destructive path.

The game pieces are on the board and Aleatha Romig will have you on the edge of your seat as you wait for her next move in book 3, Bound.

Title: ➳ ❤-Obsessed
Series ➳ Tangled Web Series 2#
Author: ➳ Aleatha Romig
Publication:, July 2nd 2019 💖💖💖💖💖

ღ This novel was better than the first one in this series about giving us more detail on Kader ……. We finally been shown a glimpse into this complicated man.

But at times this man started to give me whiplash with his different personalities., & I believe that I wasn’t the only one who notice this

Laurel ⬇
“Maybe I should name the different personalities so I could familiarize myself with each one I encountered. Or I could take a more clinical approach and number them. The mystery man set on doing his assignment who I met at the gathering could be number one. The protector who came to my house and wanted to save and later feed me would be number two. The man who talked seductively and delivered me to new sexual heights could be number three. And finally, number four was the threatening asshole from this morning.”

💕 I think thing the only thing I hated or should I say disliked about this book was that damn cliffhanger… but no worries the mysteries & secrets continue to be unraveled- in BOUND 💕

--------------------------Enjoy ------------------------

Books in Tangled Web trilogy should be read in order:

Book 1: Twisted- Published May 21st 2019
Book 2: Obsessed- Expected Publication: July 2nd 2019 💕
Book 3: Bound - Expected Publication: August 13th 2019

📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion + Also I wouldn’t never discourage anyone from reading this book.

----------- Happy Reading -----------

-The yearning to be close to her was like nothing I’d ever known.

-I was drawn to the way she looked at me- saw me, drawn to how it was different than with anyone else.

OMG have you been Aleatha'd is at the end of each book description? Who knew this would be a spin off of Web of Sins series. However you don't have to read that one to read this one but it would help with the characters, Aleatha does a great job intertwining them.

Dr. Laurel Carlson is tangled in a load of crap, she finding out her research partner Cartwright & not so exclusive lover has either betrayed her or tried to save their project when he learned of all the greedy people betraying him. Laurel is conflicted who to trust because all was a web of lies. The one man she does trust is someone she should not because he has never failed a job yet and that was to destroy their research and kill her & Cartwright.

"Im no good for you, you're too good for me, none of it matters, Im not letting you go, YOU"RE MINE"

Kadar is obessed every touch but his past is still a mystery and hits a roadblock her step of the way. Until Kadar & Laurel past & pretense collide together, which is mind blowing. The very research Laurel is working on is the very thing Kadar will need help with. Kadar hates when Laurel tries to analyze him.

One undeniable thing is the chemistry between Kadar & Laurel. Kadar can't get pass how attracted and he can't seem to stop thinking about her, it is messing with his head, that is until he finds out the very reason why. Love Love love this series can't wait for final book!!!!!!

“Why aren’t you repulsed?” “Why would I be?” “Because I’m grotesque.”

Obsessed is the second book in the Tangled Web series and starts right where we were left in Twisted.

Laurel is hunted, her former colleague and sex friend has been killed and Kader, paid to eliminate her has turned protector.

They will leave the basement they are hiding in to get to Kader’s lair and try to find some answers.

Who wants Laurel’s death?

Why do they want to stop her research?

Will Laurel be able to get back to a normal life and resume her research?

But these are not the only answers we’ll be looking for.

One of the big secrets lies around Kader’s past and identity.

I confess that I knew right from the start who Kader was but what I still haven’t found is how he became Kader. Why did he forget everything? And what will happen when he’ll remember? If he remembers?

This instalment is like a “huis clos” as the majority of it happens in Kader’s house with Kader and Laurel scouring the web to find some answers.

Their relationship has also taken a turn into hot territory!

This was a fast read for me. One of these books that you can read in one sitting as everything flows effortlessly. You have the right amount of secrets and plot twists to keep you interested all along.

Now I can’t wait for the third instalment and hopefully get all the answers to my questions!

Have you read any of Aleatha's books?

Thanks for reading!

I know I’m in the minority with rating but for some reason, I can’t fully connect to Kader and Laurel. It maybe that the story is very busy with Laurel’s formula, her disappearance, deaths, threats, and Kader’s personalities. But a new revelation about Kader really intrigued me and added the essence of psychological suspense. The first half was alittle slow for me. I wanted more progression of the story with some more answers but it did pick up towards the end and definitely peeked my interest

I will say that I loved the “7 years ago” chapters as it tied into the Web of Sin books. But those chapters all lead to where we are now, and of course, I had many more new questions, which is in true Aleatha Romig fashion. This author is the Queen of Twists and Turns so I can only imagine how the last book in the trilogy will play out.

Obsessed continued where Twisted left off. We got the back story of Kader and the things he went through that makes him the man of today. Unpredictable.

Laurel still defy every rules Kader set for her once they arrived at his house. She's always inquisitive but understandable since it's her life that's on the line. And the "undefinable relationship" of Kader and Laurel between the sheets is definitely hot!

Obsessed is more about the motive than the action, which is a nice spin on a psych thriller. This book kept me guessing. I had it figured out and then was shocked again. I also liked how it ended with just the right amount of detail. It is enough to give you things to wonder about and anticipate how will it all end in Bound.

Aleathe Romig is good in developing characters with intricate plotting. I had a very difficult time putting this book down. She weaves a story in a way that the reader is caught in her web. I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend this series!

What a book but why damn it does it have to end there. It's was getting so good until that ending. I'm dying for the next book already I need it now. This series is so addictive this book answered loads of my questions from the last book Twisted now I have a ton more. I'm luving the suspense in this book its so good I'm on the edge of my seat dying to know what's going to happen next.

Free Image Hosting at FunkyIMG.com

I got to know so much about Kader in this book. He was such a mystery in the first book and he still is in some way. Even though we get to know loads in this book there is still so much more to know about him. I knew he had been through something horrible and didn't like to share but it was great that he started opening up to Laurel. He is a very complex guy he likes things done his way. But Laurel is working out some of his kinks. Like she says there is 4 sides to this guy and there are maybe only 2 I could deal with well at the min. I'm still dying to know more about this very sexy complicated man.

Laurel my heart goes out to get in this book. Her life it falling apart around her and it's doesnt look to be getting better any time soon. Every time her and Kader find something out it turns out to be bad. I have to say she is dealing with so much but is doin ok if it was me I would be all over the place. She is dealing with someone after and then dealing with Kader's multi personalities. This woman is super woman the way she is coping is amazing. I don't know how this is all goin to work out and there's aren't goin good but this woman seriously need a HEA.

This book is brilliant this story is just so good like I said it's so addictive I'm hooked on Kader and Laurels story. I would highly recommend this book. You have to read the first book Twisted it is a trilogy and there are huge cliffhangers. They have both not made me happy. But I 'll get over it I just need the next book now please thanx. I would recommend to read the series from the start. If you havent read this author you need to she does sexy suspense so good. The characters she create you can't help but luv them you feel like your in the story with them. Laurel is a great heroine I really like her character I really want to know how things are goin to turn out for her and Kader. Bring on book 3 Bound

OBSESSED is the second book in the TANGLED WEB Trilogy and each book must be read in order so please start with the first book TWISTED so you know exactly what is going on in this book.

I have to say that the first book had me second guessing everyone that was involved with Dr. Laurel Carlson and Kader himself. Thankfully we get some answers, although it comes along with some additional questions in this book.

If you read the WEB OF SIN Trilogy you have a good idea of who Kader is but now we are finally getting bits and pieces of what happened to him over the last seven years. I have to say some of it was very surprising. I love the way the author is giving us bits and pieces of his story bringing us back in time and then to the present, also showing us the many different sides that make up the man Kader is today.

Laurel and Kader have great chemistry and the story is one that has me on the edge of my seat. I devoured this book in one day I absolutely loved it! I cannot wait to get my hands on BOUND to see how everything plays out.

This is a dark read and is meant for those over 17 due to content. Happy Reading!!!

“What are you doing to me? You’re like a fucking drug and I’m an addict. I can’t get enough of you.”

I love dark books. I love the edginess. I love the flawed characters, each giving you an intriguing and a messed up story. I love the suspense. Just like Obsessed, a nail biting suspense. Man, I am addicted. The deeply engrossing storyline. The irresistible characters. Obsessed is a minefield, destroying every part of you. It will take your breath away. It will leave you craving. Craving for the next book. Craving for every word.

Obsessed is the second enthralling book in the Tangled Web series. Amazingly written by Aleatha Romig, Obsessed delves deep on obsession and addiction. A maze-like plot that plays on your mind. A sinful taste of a strong cocktail to make you delirious. An intricate plot with a twisted puzzle. Obsession played with my emotions. Obsession played a dangerous game with my heart and soul. I revered in it. I bathed in the thrills. I swam in the chilling and tightly woven pages that held a riveting story. Luring. Heart Gripping. Obsessed is a dark psychological with an interesting plot that drew me in. Aleatha Romig takes you on a tangled ride, casting a dark spell on you. With enchanting writing, you can’t help but be pulled in.

I am deeply in love with Kader and Laurel. Their chemistry is so hard to decipher but it is deeply tantalizing. Kader and Laurel have such mouth watering chemistry with a pulse hitting passion that brings so much scorching flames within the pages.

I am freaking excited for the conclusion of the Tangled Web series. It is going to be brilliant.

"That's one thing you don't have to worry about. The devil himself couldn't keep me away from you."

Obsessed continues the Tangled Web Trilogy, and it is even more intense and addictive than the first book in the trilogy. Aleatha Romig is on fire with this series, delivering a sexy and thrilling story that will leave readers on the edge of their seats. The combination of her flawless writing with a fantastic storyline and intriguing characters makes this a story that should not be missed.

"Our roles were defined- as if before we'd met. He was the beast and I was his prey."

Romig is so good at laying out pieces of the story like breadcrumbs, keeping the reader hanging on every word. In this installment we were shown bits from the past that helped put things together, although not completely. Laurel and Kader slowly move forward in their relationship while things continue to fall apart around them. I think Laurel may be my favorite of Aleatha's heroines, which is saying a lot since I absolutely loved the heroines from her Web of Sin and Infidelity series. Laurel is such a great combination of softness and strength. She has had to endure so much from both Kader and the situation she is in, and I loved watching her strength come to the surface. Kader is just as enigmatic as he was in the first book, but I enjoyed watching his feelings for Laurel grow. These two were explosive together and each encounter they had was more intense than the previous one.

" You're like a f***ing drug and I'm an addict. I can't get enough of you."

The plot of this story was perfectly paced and was well balanced with the romantic and suspenseful elements. The flashback chapters were my favorite, and I am dying to see it all come together. There were revelations that had me practically jumping out of my seat. I can't wait to get my hands on the last book, and am so anxious to see how the author is going to bring everything together.

What a tangled web that is being weaved.

Obsessed picks up where Twisted left off and a not all of my thousand questions are answered. If anything a whole new layer of this intricate web was added when we look back to the Chicago seven years ago. As an added bonus Kader is a mess. His thoughts are jumbled, he has perfected the Jekyll and Hyde and now that he is in his home his goals are skewed right along with his feelings. There is something about the doctor that speaks to him on this unknown level and he just can't get his brain there.

Laurel is trying to come to terms with the damage her research is causing. Nothing is making sense and the list of who could be involved is ever growing. She is trying to remain strong and focused but when events start to catch up to her brain she is a bit of mess too. She is not scared of Kader when she should be, she demands to be on the front lines while figuring this situation out and her heart calls for the caring man she has seen hidden under a rough exterior.

In fantastic Aleatha fashion I was willing more pages and growling when I came to the end. I need the last piece like now.

That ending, oh that ending has me so impatient for Bound. Obsessed was awesome. It focuses more on the characters but you do get a few pieces of the overall puzzle. It gives insight into Kader's past and why he's as closed off as he is as well as shows the progression of his and Laurel's relationship. Highlighting the decimation (not completely mind you) of the walls he has erected around himself. I enjoyed this installment of the series and cannot wait for the conclusion I know it's going to be amazing.

Ohmylawwwd Aleatha you just done it again! You play with my head so good I hate you in the most loving way😂

One thing that always amaze me with Aleatha's writing is her details in intrigue. In this book two we get more secrets reveal. Pieces of the puzle reveal. You know what they say about knowledge is power? Well, with Obsessed giving out more knowledge, I have to read every word with extreme careful cause I hate to miss a thing from the intricate plot.
But then something reveal from Kader life. We all already suspect who he is really, but when it's finally confirm, I cried. Imagine being pluck out your life, condition to forget, to live your life alone not knowing you have people waiting and love you at home, to make believe that your life is just to take and destroy and nothing else... I cried for Kader.
Now, I'm that kinda reader that are more into characters connection and not just the mechanisme of the plot. For me Kader and Laurel connection in this book is the most important. The way she makes him feel, think, act and operate...the way he was thowed in different direction...the way he finally realise who she is... For me Obsessed is the most emotional book from Aleatha I ever read.

I didn’t want it to end *sobs*. I knew Aleatha would leave me hanging *wails*. Life is so unfair *stomps feet*.

Just like the ice around Kader’s house is melting drip by drip by drip, the truth is starting to be unveiled and the walls around his heart are crumbling.

The first reveal, I felt so stupid. How did I miss the connection? Once that penny dropped it was like I’d won the big money drop in Vegas. Penny, after, penny, after penny.

The sex is hot but as always Romig books are so much more than a romp with an Adonis. Story lines that pack a punch. Plot twists you never saw coming. Clever hints that reveal just enough to make you think you know it all then BAM, all you thought you knew is dust. Think again. Build again.

When I read Twisted, I needed gin. Now I need a giant bag of Haribo and a tub of ice cream.

Reviewed for A Wanton Book Lover Blog

Oh my goodness.....Obsessed (book 2 of the Tangled Web trilogy) is absolutely FANTASTIC (said in an Oprah voice). Obsessed delves deeper into the main players Kader's and Lauren's stories. "Kidnapped" Lauren is still assistanting Kader as they together try to figure out who is after Lauren's formula and who put the hit out on her. As for Kader, the reader begins to dig deeper into who is as well as why he is the way he is. Lauren doesn't know whether to strangle him or jump into bed with him as he continues almost change personalities from one day to the next. Aleatha continues to demonstrate why she is the master at writing suspense/romance books. Her characters have so many layers that are revealed the further you read into her books and series. I also like how she ties previous characters into this series. This book has many clues and realizations that it will have you waiting with bated-breath for book 3. And just wait until you read the ending! So good.

The first in the series was good it was intense but I enjoyed this one even more.
I loved seeing the characters interacting. We learned more about them and their pasts.
Kander was a mystery until now and OMG! The truths that were revealed. Blew me away.
This is why I love an Aleatha Romig story. Her twists and turns keep you guessing until the very end. You think you know what's going on but you don't!!
Speaking of endings Jaw Dropping doesn't even begin to describe it. I am on edge and DYING for the next one!!

Brilliant--

How do you review a book which exceeds your expectations. A book that leaves you begging for more- Obsessed is one of those books. Correction, it’s not a book it’s a world I want to be invited to, a place where the story comes to life and characters are family.

Aleatha weaves a web of intrigue and suspense—a page turner. Answers are layered throughout while adding a another level of mystique of unknown.
Obsessed is emotional, I cried and laughed. The chemistry between the hero and heroine awed me. I loved this story and can’t wait for the next book to this series.

Kader and Laurel are in hiding.
Still trying to figure out who’s after her research and who wants her dead.
Being together constantly has the sexual chemistry between them pulled so tightly with absolutely no give.
Whether they are butting heads or tangled in the sheets it’s always sizzling and it’s always hot.
Either way the outcome is explosive!
Ms. Romig gives us a little more insight into Kader and his past life.
Just enough to tantalize our tastebuds and leave us drooling for more.
And that bombshell of an ending had me crying for more.
What a meanie she is to leave us wondering omg what is Kader up to!
I’m now anxiously waiting for Bound

I need to scream! I need the next book like now! Twisted started so damn good, but Obsessed took the story in a whole new level. We got a lot more about Kader, Laurel is still trying to figure him out and falling apart within this book. Kader is so damn complicated that gets you wondering within each chapter. This characters are becoming an all time favorite. So many twists, turns and cliffhangers, yes you will be left wondering for days and days. Hopefully next book will be out soon! A phenomenal 5 star!!!

The second book of the Tangled web continues with the story of Kader and Lauren with more twist and turns making us more intrigued about these two characters that have many lies and a past that keeps lurking around making them doubt and fear about each other, what they feel or where these feelings are coming from.

In Obsessed we see and understand more about Kader we still trying to figure some things out but it seems like we're getting closer to finally know what happened and why he is behaving and acting the way he has..

Lauren is finally understanding a little more about the mood changes in Kader, she doesn't understand his mood swings but her own experience as a Dr. is making her aware about certain things that are probably the cause of this strange behavior. in Obsessed we get to see a more bold and decisive Lauren, she is determined to find what is going on even if that means falling for the wrong guy at the wrong time and place.

Love the chemistry between Lauren and Kader. no matter how much Kader tries to deny this or to pretend like nothing is happening and that he doesn't feel what he is feeling, we can always feel his need and attraction for Lauren at all times even when he is not around her. His energy is always drawn to her and is always very palpable.. Lauren is also battling to understand her feelings but she is more clear on what she needs and wants even if at the moment she has to hide whatever is crossing her mind.

Obsessed is full of angst and intriguing moments in some way it feels very dark and obscure like something is about to happen and we're about to find out.

a roller coaster of emotions Obsessed is an amazing continuation of the Tangled web series and we're about to finally find every question we have been wondering off.. super ready to finally see what happens in Bound!!

I can't get enough of these amazing characters!!

~ 5 The Questions I Have Stars ~

OMGoodness….the questions that this story created. I don’t even know how to unscramble my head to wrap around the awesomeness of this book.

Aleatha Romig has a crafty mind. I am always in awe of the tales and webs she weaves. This book was no different. In my opinion she is a literary genius!!! Whether it is a twisty dark read or a light and sexy read, Aleatha Romig is an author everyone should read!!!

Obsessed is the next book in Aleatha’s Tangled Web Trilogy. As with any second book in a trilogy we dive further into the characters lives and more twists and turns of the storyline start to come out. This book also shows the connection between Aleatha’s Tangled Web Series and her Web of Sin Series. The Tangled Web series is a spin off from the first trilogy, but I don’t believe you have to read the Web of Sin Series to understand this one. She fills in the gaps perfectly, so it all makes sense. Trust me though, you WILL want to read both of these trilogies….that’s how GREAT they are!!!

This again is a storyline I can’t say anything about. I will admit I was slightly confused when I started reading this book, but things straightened out as the story went along for me. But then by the end I was left reeling again!!!

As you can probably guess, this story ends with a cliffhanger….and this one is a DOUZY!!! I NEED book 3 NOW!!! Obsessed is NOT a standalone novel. You MUST read Twisted before reading this book. If you aren’t a fan of cliffhangers then you should wait until all three books are released.

One thing I can say about this story was she showed us a different/darker side of Kader. There were definitely times when I really didn’t like him, but also times when I couldn’t help but love him. I can’t wait to see where she takes this cast of characters. I have my idea of how I want this trilogy to turn out, but I guess I have to wait and see if I am correct.

Every Aleatha book I have read, just continues to get better and better. She is the queen of the mysterious, dark and twisted story. I can never figure out where her stories are going and I absolutely LOVE that. I am captivated and intrigued all the way through. Her books are always a quick read for me because I can’t put them down. They also live in my head until I get my hands on the next one. Obsessed was no different!!

Add this book/trilogy to your TBR list NOW. If you haven’t read anything by Aleatha Romig, you are missing out. You need to enter her world of writing. Trust me you won’t want to leave once you start!!!

Obsessed continued on right where we were left off from Twisted. We got a deeper look into Kader’s character and peeled back some of the layers of this complicated man. We moved forward a little in the chaos that Laurel was entangled in. The author was so good at layering answers with bits from the past that help put the missing pieces together while adding more mystique and questions to the cluster of bewilderment and unknown in the present. I was surprised and delighted to see cameos of people from the Web of Sins trilogy and the connections between the two trilogies. I’m loving the suspense and I cannot wait for the final installment of the fascinating and compelling Tangled Web trilogy.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
