Having loved the first in the American Royalty series, I couldn’t wait to discover what lay in store for the oldest of the three Auprince brothers when reacquainted with the girl he loved and lost ten years previously.

description Pascale Nichols was everything to me. Including the only woman to break my heart.”

I loved the premise of this story with the heroine being the protector, so it’s with a heavy heart I say the suspense aspect of the story fell flat for me. I’m not going to go into why, but with a second plot line introduced later on (which worked much better for me), I can’t help but feel that the overall story would have been stronger and tighter if focus had been placed on either one or the other throughout.

description ...this time is different. She and I are different.”

But Robin does know how to create likeable characters with a natural, easy chemistry and both Ethan and Pascale keep up that trend. And as the storyline changed direction, it brought a more positive shift as the romance gathered momentum ramping up the emotion, feeling and my overall enjoyment. Plus the little gems courtesy of Ethan’s gran can’t go unmentioned.

description Can you please keep our conversations G-rated?”

Such is life, you simply can’t love every book out there, even if a favourite author has penned it and although Sweet Talker isn’t my favourite by Robin, it was still an engaging read and I’ll be in the queue for Drew’s book when the time comes.

My restauranteur Ethan is at the top of his game, but when Pascale, the one who got away, reenters his life as head of his security detail, will countless hours in close proximity be a recipe for disaster… or the start of something delicious? 💜💙💜💙

3.5 - "Are you following me..?" Stars!

We return to the American Royalty series with Ethan Auprince meeting his match and working through the inevitable romance pitfalls towards his HEA.

I’ve been given a second chance and I’m not going to blow it…

So from reading the blurb I was expecting to settle myself in for a good old Romantic Suspense read, but what I actually got was a book of two halves, the first half was firmly about the supposed stalker, but as that storyline fizzled out like a damp firework we are left with Pascale and Ethan dealing with a whole different set of issues.

The more she keeps me in the co-worker zone, the more I want out of it…

I won’t say much as it would be a huge spoiler. But, personally I found the plot twist in the second half had more going for it than the RS did in the first, so much so I think it would have made a better read if it had been concentrated on and the RS aspect shelved completely.

"Just being honest…"

"…Sometimes that’s the best policy"

Sweet Talker was by no means a struggle to read, this is a couple that have a past, and ten years apart definitely hasn’t dulled the chemistry between them. It just felt like the story went in one direction and lost its way, so the author regrouped and went off on a completely different tangent.

"You’ve always been my greatest adventure…"

Not a total winner this time, but there were moments that bought a smile to my face and it left me looking forward to Drew’s book; Hot Shot due for release early 2020.

I fell into this book so easily and with such pleasure, I didn't really ever want to let go of my time with Ethan and Pascale.

This is such a fun, interesting storyline. I love that the heroine is the protector in this one, and I maybe especially loved how easily Ethan accepted and respected that. The chemistry between these two was apparent immediately, and I was just as much a sucker for Ethan's easy charm as Pascale was - which made their unorthodox romance a complete delight to read.

All things considered, the stalker storyline wasn't really the show here - it wrapped up pretty quickly and neatly without a whole lot of drama. But there's also a lot more going on in this story than that storyline and I would argue that the real show was a lot more emotional, unexpected and - well frankly adorable than I had originally expected. I could not have been happier with how it all played out.

I loved this one. I loved getting to spend time with the powerful, yet lovable, Auprince family (the secondary character game is so strong!). I loved how effortless this was to read. I loved easily my heart engaged with Ethan and Pascale, how it gave me that delicious ache as they stumbled through finding their way back to each other, and how it bubbled over with happiness when they finally figured it out. Robin Bielman is a sure thing, y'all, and this was another fantastic read! ~ Shelly, 4.5 Stars

I love reading Robin Bielman. She has this ability to just put a smile on my face from the first paragraph. Sweet Talker is the standalone second book in Robin’s American Royalty series.

Ethan Auprince is definitely one of my book boyfriends. He is seriously a total dream. Pascale Nichol is a woman of principle. It could be said that she takes things a little too seriously. In Sweet Talker, these two will embark on a second chance at romance where the stakes are high.

I really liked both of these characters. At times, I had to peel away at some of their layers to truly see the person they were. Sweet Talker has a little mystery to it, in that Ethan is the target of a stalker and Pascale is hired secretly by his family to protect him. I will say I wanted more from that part of the storyline. However, Robin threw in a twist to the story that was nice, if not a little rushed.

I’m loving this series and I’m looking forward to reading younger brother, Drew’s story.

This has been the hardest review for me to write. I swear, I've gone through 20 drafts before settling on this one.

Sweet Talker is book two in the American Royalty series which can be read as a standalone. This is Ethan's story and it packs quite a punch. It's a second-chance romance between two very strong personalities. There's quite a bit of light-hearted banter in the first half of the book. Ethan's family secretly hires bodyguard Pascale to ferret out the threats against him. Can she protect him while protecting her heart, too.

Then, there's the second half of the book. Just as they get on the same page, bam! Disaster strikes and this suddenly becomes a totally different book. Dramatic romance is what I'd describe it as. The tone is serious, so serious in fact, I had to put the book down a few times. I finished it, I'm happy to report.

My honest opinion is that this book is actually two books in one. It misleads the reader, based on the blurb. I felt cheated, somehow.

I still give it three stars for superb writing. The character development is spot-on and the ending was good.

Fingers crossed book three is better.

My Rating: 3.5 stars

Sweet Talker by Robin Bielman is the second book in the American Royalty series, but it reads as a standalone book. There’s really only one thing I have to say about Sweet Talker. I loved this book soooo much!

When Pascale is secretly hired as a bodyguard for a charming restaurateur in the public eye, she had her doubts about working to protect a man with whom she shared a past love story with a tragic ending. But as luck (and life) would have it, a second chance at love is what these two had been waiting 10 years to find…of course with some obstacles (literally) and twists along the way.

I am a sucker for a charmer, and Ethan Auprince is definitely that. Sexy restauranteur, successful business man, cocky but not in a jerk off kind of way…yet so generous, kind, and not afraid to admit that he’s totally in love with the girl that got away 10 years ago. He’s definitely the kind of hero that you’re routing for the whole time while silently wishing there was a real life version of him about to knock on your door at any minute.

His heroine, Pascale, has been through a lot. She’s strong and confident on the outside but a little broken with her guard way up on the inside. But she totally commits to her cause, displays one selfless act after another, and does it all with a charming sense of humor that will make you laugh out loud.

This was my first book by Robin Bielman, but I’ve already started stalking the rest of her collection. I REALLY enjoyed her style of writing. I love stories written in the first person, but I especially loved how the characters would break the fourth wall every now and then. It was like they were talking straight to us…rationalizing their thoughts or actions with us.

This book made me laugh hysterically. This book made me cry hysterically. And, the sexy times certainly made me fan myself hysterically. This was rom-com writing at it’s finest, in my opinion.
I can’t wait to read more about the other Auprince brothers in the rest of this series!

Robin Bielman, you've made me a fan!

I'm so happy I stumbled across this new-to-me author. I love second-chance romances and Sweet Talker was the absolute best. Ethan was everything you love about a sweet, sexy heartthrob. His actions, the things he says, I just really adored him. Pascale was like a breath of fresh air because her character wasn't at all like I had expected. She fit the role perfectly as a Ethan's body guard and the banter between the two of them just made me love them a little bit more.

The one thing I feel that set this story apart from others in the genre was the bit of mystery the author added to the storyline. Even though it's primarily romance, it totally gave the story a new direction and kept me glued to the pages.

I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered there was another story prior to Sweet Talker, so now I can't wait to go back and read it. Bielman is a fantastic writer that certainly knows how to draw her readers in. The story was carefully plotted and I found it hard to put it down.

This book..... this book is another off the charts. Insanely sexy, this story checked all my boxes. Because Ethan Auprince! He's successful, hot as hades, sneaky as the dickens and absolutely all about Pascale, who he met some years back while on vacation and the two spent a month together when she up and disappeared. Ethan never forgot about Pascale nor she him and neither will you!
Pascale is hired by the Auprince family to keep an eye on Ethan unbeknownst to him, after he experiences some odd things that scream stalker at the restaurant he owns. Pascale is hired as the new manager to replace the gal who is leaving. Pascale does private security, and left her last position under less than desirable circumstances which you will get a glimpse of as the story unfolds. Pascale and Ethan also have history which is as perfectly delicious as their chemistry still is! Ethan catches on that Pascale has been hired to keep an eye on him and bad boy that he is, plays that for all it's worth.
Such a sneaky man!
Ethan is the oldest brother of the three Auprince men and we get to see both Finn ( be still my heart) and Drew in this story. I loved their friendship and their free advice dispensing! I loved the character development that Robin brings into the story, making these characters as familiar as our friends. They are real, relatable and have real problems. They also are adults which I absolutely loved!
I loved Ethan and Pascale together as a couple and after a few skips and bumps were adult enough to work through their little issues. I am absolutely enamored with these Auprince men!
Robin writes a story, not just a book. She pulls you right into their emotions, laughs and those omg moments, and serves up one hell of a book. And last but not least, that cover! Seriously!?!
I am admittedly a Robin Bielman fan in a big way. I cannot wait to see what she brings us in Drew's book and beyond!
Thank you Robin! What a knock my socks off read!

I think I would have enjoyed this one a lot more if I had read the first book in the series. I loved the idea that this author had for a strong heroine. But, other aspects of the plot fell pretty flat for me such as the suspense/mystery element to the story. Unfortunately this one just did not work for me in terms of plot, but I did like the writing pretty well and I'd be interested in reading more from this author in the future.

I enjoyed this book, but it honestly felt like two books in one. The first half was light and fun, as Pascale played “bodyguard.” Then suddenly ** spoiler here** she is a mom and making heavy decisions. While I liked both stories and angles, it gave me story whiplash. So, three stars for me.

Sweet Talker is the second book in The American Royalty series where the big brother of the family reunites with his first love. This story is sweet with sexy scenes and jokes that only this author knows how to make which makes the book even more adorable.

Ethan is an owner of one of the most famous restaurants and when he gets to meet his new manager, he doesn't expect to find the one who got away. Pascale was the love of his life but she left him without a goodbye in the past so he now needs some answers.

Pascale was in love with the rich boy years ago but when a tragedy happened in her life, she thought leaving him was the best. Now she is back and she cannot resist.

Their relationship is sweet and hot. Their relationship of their youth transforms into a forever love as it has its ups and downs and they both have to face some hard truths.

Ethan appears in the beginning as little arrogant but he soon shows that he is loyal and caring. Pascale 's an independent and strong woman. Their attraction is there from the start but in order for their love to be stable , they have to make some sacrifices.

I enjoyed this story overall because it was cute and easygoing. I fell in love though more with Ethan than Pascale. She sometimes appeared as standoffish and indecisive about her feelings although a logical part of me could understand some of her insecurities.

I am excited about the last book about the younger brother , Drew , as he seems the funniest in the family!
If you want a fun summer book, then Sweet Talker is the story for you!

Robin Bielman is back with the second book in her American Royalty series and if you are looking for the perfect pool or fireside read, then your searching is over. This is it!

Brace yourselves readers for another Auprince hero in Ethan that will melt your hearts and leave you wishing these brothers were real. Sigh.....

But it’s not just the drool worthy hero you should pick this book up for, Pascale the heroine is a kickass chick who I adored. I kind of want to be her when I grow up. 😏

Together, Ethan and Pascale are a beautifully written second chance love story that has everything that a romance reader wants and craves. Sweet Talker is a hot, sweet, sexy and heartfelt read that had me turning the last page with a satisfied sigh and the need to revisit the first book Heartthrob again.

This is just another example reason why I love Robin Bielman’s writing so much. Do yourself an favour and read this author! You won’t be sorry

A second chance romance that I loved from the first page. Ethan Auprince might be a bit entitled, but he’s a real decent guy at heart. He loves his family and his friends, his job is his life, oh, and he’s not looking for a serious relationship. Until SHE walks back into his life again. The one that got away, his one true love, Pascale “Callie” Nichols. What he doesn’t realise is that she’s been hired as his bodyguard. Sweet, funny and sexy, with a little bit of angst. Great charactersI I love all the Auprince clan, grandmother especially, she’s a real feisty one. The humour and banter between grandma and grandsons is hilarious. Callie is just the right amount of soft and hard to match Ethan, and I loved how they interacted together. A match made in heaven, I just hope that they can ride the storm, and Callie can get past her fears that a relationship with Ethan won’t work. Highly enjoyable, summer read. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via email. This is my honest review.

Just the name Robin Bielman puts a smile on my face! I’ve come to expect fun, sexy and excellent stories from her. Every book just keeps getting better and Sweet Talker was no different! Pascale and Ethan were wonderful characters in this second chance romance that has all the feels! I laughed, cried and swooned quite a bit ;) Sweet Talker is the second book in the American Royalty series and can be read as a standalone (I recommend them both!)

I loved this second chance romance! Robin Bielman never fails to keep me turning the pages with her books and Sweet Talker was no exception!

Pascale and Ethan had great chemistry and you just knew they weren’t going to be able to resist each other for long! Something unexpected happens in Pascale’s life though that impacts their future together and they both will have to decide if what they have together is worth the fight for their HEA.

Sweet Talker was a fun, sweet, sexy and heartfelt read! I really enjoyed it!

While this is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone.

Contemporary Romance; Second Chance Romance

First person; dual-POV

Book #2 of the American Royalty series; they can be read as standalone (I haven't read the first book and had the full experience with this one)

He wears a tux like Captain America wears his Avenger clothes. Hot. Sexy. Strong. All-American appealing.

by Pascale

Addictiveness: 3.5/5 It was an easy read with a few fun moments and some cute ones. This has two parts, the second part for me it had a better flow. As addictive as melted cheese!!!

Character: hero 4.5/5, heroine 4/5, secondary characters 4/5, growth 5/5, real 5/5 Interesting characters that were multidimensional and felt very realistic.

Ethan was a great book boyfriend. He was hot, smart, ambitious, loving, caring, fun and charismatic. He was rich, but not a jerk. He grew along the way, really embracing everything that was thrown his way. Even his mistakes, never felt like a huge deal at all. Totally drool-worthy!

Pascale was also a good heroine. She was beautiful, strong, caring, friendly and everybody liked her. She had a tendency to run from her problems that got on my nerves a few times. At the same time, she handle the twists of life like a pro.

Several interesting secondary characters that I would love to know more.

All characters were easy to love, connect and understand!

Freshness4/5 This was definitely a surprise. At first, I thought this would be very predictable, but suddenly, it had an unexpected twist and it become more. Surprising and exciting, at the same time it was believable and real.  As fresh as mint tea!

Plot: believable 4/5, conflict 3/5, dialogue 4/5, ending 5/5, enjoyment 4/5, opening 3.5/5, pace 3.5/5, setting 4/5, subplots 4/5, twists 5/5  Ok opening and great ending. Believable plot with dialogues well written. The pace was better at the second part of the story, and the subplot has really spice up the story. An ok setting with an amazing, unexpected twist!!! The first conflict was not very interesting, but the second one was BOOM! Explosive! Great level of satisfaction!

I can't talk much, because I think the unexpected gave new life to this story, and I don't want to spoil the fun for anyone. The "main" conflict, at least the one hinted at the blurb, was a bit lackluster. But the second one, was a curve ball! It come out of nowhere and it gave this story depth and intensity. After reading the book, I'm certain this was always on the author's mind, and I found it very crafty how she tied up both parts of the story together.

Romance: believable 5/5, chemistry 5/5, description 5/5, development 5/5, steam 5/5  I believed in their love story from the beginning. Yes, Pascale did get on my nerves a few times, but their chemistry was high and the couple's love easy to feel. Their journey was beautiful and complex. Oh, the smut was there and it was perfertly created. As hot as tabasco!!!

Writing Style: I've enjoyed the author's writing style. Very crafty how she worked the plot and subplots in the story. This story had layers that were easily written by the author. Looking forward to read more. Crafty!!!

Cover: art 3/5, title 5/5, color-font 4/5, buy 3.5/5  I’m obsessed with book covers. I love to find snippets of the stories within the art. This cover is ok, but not great. It is just a handsome man. I wanted to see a bit more of the story at the cover. Maybe the restaurant as a background, or something that felt more personal to this book. This is a bit too generic. I would probably buy this book by its cover, but I guess I would read the blurb first!

Plot: I'm still unsure if the first plot/subplot was really needed or not. The second part of the story was so rich and important that I believe it could have held on its own.

Even though I've said a few times that I felt the first conflict a bit lackluster, I've loved the unexpected! The twist came as a bomb. Really, it blew on my face. I had no idea where the story would be heading after the first conflict was solved, but never would my brain conjure up the second conflict. It was rich, convoluted and it gave this story flavor. This is definitely magic writing skills.

I've loved the brothers, and I feel I have to go back and read Finn and Chloe's book white waiting for Drew's.

28/35 STARS –  4 STARS (between 28 stars and 31 stars)

Addictiveness: 3.5 Character: 4 Cover: 3 Freshness: 5  Plot: 3.5 Romance: 5 Writing Style: 4

Action 2.5/5

Angst 3/5

Darkness 1/5

Humor 3/5

Romance 5/5

Suspense/Mystery 1/5

Would I recommend? Sure. For everyone that likes a family romance with a bit of spice.

Would I re-read this book/series? I don't know if I would re-read the book, only time will tell. But I will definitely follow the series.

Would I read more from the author? Yes!

You MAY read this because you have read the first book of the series; you SHOULD read this because you like a good hero; you MUST read this if you are looking for an endearing romance!!!

Sorry to be the first 1-star, but I'm not a fan of this story, which is, frankly, a disappointment because I really liked book 1, Heartthrob.

This feels like 2 disjointed plot lines mashed up forcibly and fretfully. The first story arc is where the H needs a bodyguard (the h) because he has a stalker. (The mystery/action/suspense was lame, imo, and fell flat.) Then there's the story arc, in which, this is a second-chance romance. He never got over the one that got away (again, the h).

After the stalker story arc wraps up, the plot takes a turn from light and flirty, a nice, push-and-pull, to this second-chance, full-of-angst-and-insecurities story arc that made my head spin. I was thrown out of whack, to say the least.

My main reason, though, why I didn't like this book was because I never felt like I connected to Pascale/Callie. It's hard for me to like a book if I don't like one of the main characters.

And maybe this is just me.... but the way that Ethan kept on switching between calling the heroine Pascale or Callie annoyed the heck out of me. One paragraph she'd be referred to Pascale, and then the next, she was Callie. Aren't they the same woman? I felt like yelling, Can you please stick to one name?!?!. Ugh. The back-and-forth name switching just sort of emphasized that 2 disjointed plot lines I was referencing earlier.

Sigh. I was looking forward to this one. From book 1, I already thought that Ethan was pretty cool. And he was. At book's end, I felt like he deserved a better heroine.

A second chance romance that’s as sexy as it is sweet, Sweet Talker is a fast and easy read with great chemistry between the characters. Though it’s the second in the series, it can most definitely be read as a standalone since each book follows a different brother with a very different personality. This time, the focus is on Ethan, the charming restauranteur who is a bit of a ladies man. He’s happy with his life of wining and dining until a woman from his past resurfaces. Ethan and Pascale spend one summer together ten years ago, where they both fell in love but never exchanged the words. When a family emergency took Pascale away, she never thought to contact Ethan since she always assumed he considered their time a summer fling. Now that Ethan’s been receiving some unwanted packages and notes, his family is worried about him so they hire Pascale to be his bodyguard in secret, not realizing their history. Once Pascale and Ethan come face to face, Ethan reaction is much stronger than Pascale anticipated, and she realizes she may have made a mistake in the past and also in the present by believing she could perform the duties of the job without falling for Ethan all over again.

I loved the chemistry these two had from the very beginning. It’s clear that they had a great relationship in the past and while they burned up the sheets, they also had plenty of conversation. Those old feelings still linger for them both, but Pascale’s secret role in the present keeps them from acting. The first half of this book flowed extremely well, and had me connecting with the characters. Pascale lost me a little bit in the back half, but I got where she was coming from. It’s really a book in two acts - you’ll know what I mean when you get there. For me, the first act is more successful but I also loved seeing the changes in Ethan during the second. I received an ARC from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review of this light and sweet read. I look forward to the next book in the series to see who Drew finally picks as his perfect match.

SWEET TALKER had me hooked from beginning to end, even though there was, in my mind, a division within the story that begins in one direction and then takes off in another. I understood it, I wished it could have been an easier transition because I could “feel” that first half of the book and then on to the second part. It worked for me, I saw no reason to drop my rating because of the plot twist. And, in some ways, we almost need that first half in order to really get the emotional impact from the second. I know, I’m being vague here because of possible spoilers that I do not want to mention… yet I loved Ethan and Pascale together and that is the real bottom line here.

Secondary characters and returning characters always make a story more realistic for me as no one lives in a vacuum. I adored Ethan’s family, even if they are strong-willed they love hard and protect even harder. Pascale had a few moments for me, yet she’s strong where she needs to be and vulnerable in some ways as well. I loved a professional female protector for a strong man and a man who, eventually, could handle that role reversal. Pascale and Ethan worked for me – they have a road ahead of them that is full of potholes, but together they can make it – they simply have to trust that the risk is well worth the reward. Two stubborn people who work their way back for a second chance to get it right this time.

I had a blast with SWEET TALKER and would not hesitate one moment to recommend this story to any reader who loves unusual plot twists, a strong couple, secondary characters with a strong presence and a really good love story.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

This Book Made Me Smile - Rating: 5 Stars

What would you do for a second chance at love with the one who got away? In Sweet Talker by Robin Bielman, the second book in The American Royalty series, Ethan and Pascale are reunited after about a decade apart. Someone is harassing Ethan, and his family - without his knowledge - hires Pascale to protect him. Pascale is an elite bodyguard but Ethan thinks she's just his new restaurant manager. Insert drama here.

A lot of things have changed since the last time that Ethan and Pascale were together - but they are still incredibly drawn to each other. Their attraction is magnetic and difficult to deny. But can they put past hurts behind them and try to be together again? And what about the lies that Pascale now has to tell in order to keep her cover?

What is so great about this book is that it was filled with unexpected moments. When I read the blurb and read through the first few chapters, I was expecting a clear cut second chance romance. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it heads in new directions that keep you wanting to read more and really has you rooting for the characters.

This book can definitely be read as a stand alone. You don't need to read the others in the series - but trust me when I say, you'll want to. In fact, you'll probably want to track down everything that Ms. Bielman has written. At least if you like sappy romance - and I do.

This book comes out on September 5, 2019 and I urge all romance addicts to pick it up. I'm about to download book one in the series because I just need more! Thanks to Netgalley and Tule Publishing for giving me the sneak peek.

Ethan can sweet talk to me all day long!!!

Sweet Talker is book two in the amazing new ‘American Royalty’ series by robin Bielman. We met Ethan in Finn and Chloe’s story, Heartthrob (Book 1). Now we get to meet the man who owns Royal.
Ethan is smart, sexy and he met the love of his life ten years ago during a summer break from college. But the girl of his dreams left suddenly and he never saw her again.
Now, ten years later, she’s in his restaurant and about to become his manager.
Pascale knew she was going to be working for the boy who stole her heart a decade ago. But she thought she was over him. One look at Ethan as a fully grown man and she knew she was wrong.
The chemistry between these two was palpable. It burned through the pages and nearly ignited my kindle… and that was before they did anything more than kiss.
Pascale isn’t really Ethan’s restaurant manager. She’s secretly been employed by his family because he has a stalker. Her job is to find the person responsible and stop them. But, Ethan gets under her skin and as the weeks go by the get ever closer to giving in to temptation.
Will they?
This was a seriously sweet and utterly sexy story. I loved every minute of it and didn’t want it to end. Ethan is such a nice guy, but hot as Hades at the same time. Pascale is sassy, snarky and her hands are lethal weapons. She’s awesome.
Grab this summer read today and find a shady corner to enjoy it in.

Adored this second-chance romance.

"Pascale. My Pascale. Is back in my life. All of a sudden, my heart doesn't know what to do with itself."

Ten years ago, Ethan Aurprince and Pascale Nichols had a summer fling. They fell fast and deep until Pascale just disappeared out his life. Just as suddenly, she's back. In his life. In his restaurant. Working for him. Or, it appears that way.

"When Ethan Auprince runs his eyes over you, it's like you've been touched by velvet-tipped feathers."

Pascale has just come off an assignment gone wrong and she's determined not to lose her way professionally again. However, her history and feelings for Ethan make it difficult for her to keep her distance from him. Throw in the fact that she's keeping a secret from him. Just when things are looking positive for them, life throws her a curveball that complicates their relationship.

"She's under my skin, inside my heart, and on my mind. It terrifies me."

Ethan and Pascale has so much sizzling, slow-burn chemistry between them. It was a tangible thing. They were incredibly sexy together. There's so much buried emotion between them, too, stemming from their summer fling, and to find that even though they've both changed, they were also intrinsically the same and they had a lot of fond memories to share. I loved what a physically tough cookie Pascale was, but she was all tenderness inside. Ethan is most definitely a sweet talker and a complete charmer. He felt so much for her yet was fearful of being hurt again. I absolutely adored this story and can't wait for the Drew's book.

Sweet Talker is one of the sweetest second chance romances I have read in a while. Do you ever forget your first love? Ethan never has; especially when she disappeared from his life without a word. Ten years later, Pascale suddenly reappears as his newest restaurant manager but why did she show up at his restaurant? Ethan is thrilled to have a second chance with the one that got away but Pascale has a secret and a tendency to run from her feelings. After a shocking surprise occurs, Pascale thinks she has to choose only one person to love. Can she choose Ethan? Does she have room to love more than one person?

This story flowed from the first page; it is very well written. I love stories where the only real drama is the characters working through their own emotions and obstacles. Ethan & Pascale were both completely likable characters. Ethan is the rich gorgeous guy whose restaurant business has been his life & love for years. Pascale is a tough female bodyguard who keeps her feelings close to her heart. But together they fit. I am also a huge fan of the dual POV as I loved seeing into both their minds and I just wanted them to admit everything to each other as they admitted it to themselves.

This is a highly enjoyable read. It’s not terribly steamy but there is definitely passion and love. This is a series about each Auprince brother but each can be read as a stand-alone. Release date is 9/5/19.

I was gifted an ARC from NetGalley and Tule Publishing in exchange for my honest opinion.

I enjoyed Ethan and Pascale's story. I loved that she was the bodyguard, the one who was capable, and that it caught him a little bit by surprise. (There's a fabulous paintball scene that I am not going to spoil, but it was so much fun.) I also loved, without spoilers, that this really wasn't much of a story about one part of a couple keeping a secret, which is not always a favorite trope...it was, but, it wasn't, and I loved the way this was handled. Really, read it and this will make sense.

I liked the characters, I believed in them as people and also in their attraction and their relationship. As with all relationships, there was some compromise to get to the happily ever after, but I believed it, and I believed the characters would make (and be happy with) the decisions made to get them to their HEA.

This is the 2nd book in the American Royalty series, and while it can be read as a standalone, it was also fun to read it after having read the 1st one, as you get a little bit of an update of the characters you met previously.

I enjoyed and recommend this title

Wow just wow, I love Robin Bielman and Sweet Talker is a great addition to the American Royalty series.

Ethan Auprince is sexy and Pascale Nichols is just the women to protect him, even if he doesn't know it. The problem is she is his first and only love. Ethan the oldest brother and part of the Auprince family who owns the best hotel's money can buy. Though that was never Ethan's dream, he wanted to open restaurants and that is what he did with his family's blessing. And then his life starts to be threatened. Enter Pascale Nichols the sexy bodyguard his family hired unbeknownst to Ethan. Pascale also happens the one who got away years ago, leaving him without a word. Now she is back and Ethan won't let her go again and then her world is turned upside down.

I am fast becoming a huge Robin Bielman fan. Her books are filled with great characters and wonderful dialog. I love getting immersed into the world she writes. Told in dual POVs we get to see both sides of Ethan and Pascale's story which is great. We also get to spend more time with the Auprince family and I cant wait for what's coming up next.

So I really enjoyed the first book In this series, Heartthrob and was looking forward to a follow up on some of the other characters in this follow up Sweet Talker.

Im not sure what happened between these two books but I was so disappointed. It was missing all the things I loved about the first book. Ethan, a restaurant owner of one of the hottest places around who is hot and rich is being stalked. Although that whole stalker storyline is never really developed and left hanging. However, unbeknownst to him, his family hires a bodyguard for him to keep an eye on him.

A new manager is hired for his place by his sister because his old one is leaving and he gets the shock of his life when he realizes its an old flame, Pascale. Only Pascale isn't just his new manager, she is the anonymous bodyguard. *Enter eye roll here folks*

The story felt disjointed, there was not chemistry and it felt like there were patches of storyline missing. I wanted to like it because the first one was such a standout but this 2nd book just left me wanting more. Not my most favorite :-(
