Seriously adored this book!!! I binged it one late night session staying up til almost 3am to get my hard fought HEA. My favourite of the series so far - soooooo good!

Zeke has been a favourite since book one. I'm a sucker for the quiet, determined guy. I don't need my heroes to be alpha in an obvious way - I'm much more intrigued by the hard working, seemingly closed off characters. It didn't hurt he was all kinds of delicious. And Gabby - well she's my kind of romance heroine. Not your cookie cutter perfect bombshell - she's a real woman, with scars - both physical and mental. Together they were just what the other one needed!

I loved the slow burn feel of this one, the banter and friendship was so genuine I found myself smiling for a lot of the book. The heat level is lower than I usually read but it didn't matter. This book was sweet enough that I was hooked anyway & there was no doubting their chemistry at all! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a college sports romance with some heart.

Really enjoyed this book. I like Zeke and Gabby so much in the previous books so it was great to finally read their story. They are so good together and both deserve a HEA especially Gabby.

Loved being to catchup with all the characters from the previous book. Look forward to hearing what happens with Nathan next. I was so sad for him this book as he is so sweet and fun.

Zeke and Gabby's story was one of finding their strengths, ripping the bandaid off... finding ones self, and in the end, finding their love for each other. Seeing Zeke open up with every encounter he had with Gabby had me grinning from ear to ear lots of time while reading! An all round great story! 5/5

I'm really an audible person, but when I read the first two in the series, I couldn't wait for this to some to audible, so I read it and loved it. It is a great addition to the series and helped answer a lot of the questions to the first two.

This series is hands down the best basketball romance novels I have ever read. Shockingly I am not even a great fan of the sport, but Rebecca has such a way with her words that I might even watch a game every now and then.
Zeke has been a bit of a man of mystery in the first two books, so it was great to finally get to know him.
And I was even more excited that Gabby would be his heroine. If there was ever a character that deserved a HEA it was definitely her.
I enjoyed that they became friends first. Zeke's only desire was to make the NBA draft, but the quirkiness and cuteness that is Gabby made him think he didn't have to have such a singular focus.
This series also has such a great cast of characters. To say that I am happy that Nathan's story is up next is a vast understatement. I cannot wait for his book!!

This whole series so far has been fun and super entertaining to follow. Since the first book, Zeke, the man of few words intrigued me because he simply was that... a man of few words. But it was great getting to know him through the eyes of his friends, because now seeing him through Gabby and through his point of view, you get the ‘fun guy’ behind the few words... and appreciating his humble character.

I loved and enjoyed this book and how #Zebby’s story started. Gabby was definitely the right person to bring more out of Zeke. And seeing Zeke’s character progress throughout their little adventures was so much fun to see.

Loved the secondary characters and their parts in this story. Overall, you gotta get in with this swries, this book because it’s been fan-freaking-tastic. Can’t wait for Nathan’s book. RJ is fricken amazing and you all need to just ONE CLICK away!

Volunteered to read an arc for my honest opinion.

This is my third book and they are just getting even better. I loved this storyline that gave just enough emphasis to the physical scars but maintained a fun young dynamic for both characters. I loved the ending. The Kobe back references will always made me sad now too ❤️

Five stars because I liked a lot the heroin: she is the perfect mix of strength and vulnerability. Survivor of a car accident, she is definitely willing to enjoy most of her college years. The heroes Zeke is really focused on basketball and really introvert. But they work as a couple. They bring the best in the other. A nice story.

4.0 out of 5 stars Zeke & Gabby are the Perfect Teammates For Life

The Tip-Off was my first read by Rebecca Jenshak; I had been seeing her name and the different titles of her sports romance series all over social media and because I’m such a sport romance junkie, I knew signing up to listen/review the audio version of Gabby and Zeke’s story was a perfect way to be introduced to this new-to-me author.

Even though I headed into the third book of the Sports Jock series without reading the previous two stories, the fact that they are standalones about different couples allowed me not to feel lost despite not meeting the other couples of the series until The Tip-Off.

Jenshak does a great job illustrating just how ready Gabby is to be a normal college student - one who takes risks, has fun, and spreads her wings without the safety net of her overprotective parents. And while, at times, she does seem like a fish out of water, I admired her tenacity when it came to trying new things and truly experiencing all that life has to offer.

At the beginning of the story, it was clear that it would take Zeke some time to figure out that his life didn’t have to only be about the game he loves and excels at…he was never one to allow anyone to get too close to him and his quiet and reserved demeanor allowed him to flourish on the court, keeping up his training regiment without interruption. As cliche as it sounds, Gabby is a game changer for Zeke and as much as he fights his attraction to her and worries what those feelings would mean for his future and his goal to be number one in the NBA Draft, he finds it way too difficult to keep Gabby at arm’s length which means that if he’s truly going to give in to what he feels for her, Zeke needs to be sure that his willingness to risk it all doesn’t end up a sacrifice that, in the end, he cannot make.

Gabby and Zeke definitely take their time when it comes to exploring what’s between them, but that fits both of their temperaments as well as Zeke’s singular focus on the NBA draft. But even though it takes a lot of awkward encounters, silent conversations, and quick glances at each other before either of them take the first step toward something more, it was clear that what was building between them was a bond that would allow them both to step outside of their shell and see what it was like to want to simply be together, learning about each other and finding out that life has so much to offer them…they just have to be willing to try.

Jakobi Diem and Savannah Peachwood did a good job bringing Zeke and Gabby’s story to life. I especially enjoyed Jakobi’s portrayal because there’s an aloofness and loner vibe that surround Zeke and Jakobi conveys those characteristics with ease and precision, showing just how much he changes and grows as a person with Gabby by his side.

This is a college love story were Gabby has just joined and is finding her feet with the help of her friend Blair. She had been in a car accident and was finally able to persuade her parents that she needed to do this. She has a check list of things she wants to do and she wants to enjoy the full college experience. Zeke is in his final year concentrating on his ball skills as he is likely to be called up in the draft to the NBA. He has no time for anything else but basketball, training and eating. He doesnt have time for a girlfriend but Gabby starts getting in his way with her fun. She persuades him to help her with her list and he starts to relax a bit more. Nicely written.
