Truly Mine: Mason & Sophie #1

This is the first book in the duet and boy is it good. I knew we were in for a ride getting to know Mason and Sophie in the previous duet and the way that one ended. There is so much emotion that pours out of these characters. Mason and Sophie are put through the ringer in this book. Twists and turns this one takes have you on the edge of your seat. The cliffhanger at the end had me gasping, but I had a feeling in my gut that's where it was going to go. I can't wait for the conclusion to the duet and I'm glad we don't have to wait too long. I need to know what happens to them. This is a must read!!

Enjoying this series very much. I feel so sorry for Sophie because of what she went through. Can't wait to read the next book to see how Sophie and Mason reach their happy ever after.

Mason frustrated me while captivating me with his amazing heart. He is great at torturing himself and Sophie. When I finally learned the heartache, he suffered and the guilt he carries, well, it all made sense. I didn’t have to love it but I totally understood how amazing he is inside. Sophie then works to move on from Mason and finds herself in an abusive relationship which leads to a tragic event at Hunter & Lennon’s wedding reception. Sophie has worked so hard to build her career as a violinist and she always sees the best in everyone. She is shocked when she realizes Weston isn’t the charming man she initially met. She never expected to fear for her life but that one-night changes everything. Now she is living in Mason and Liam’s house. Will Mason still keep her in the friend zone? Sophie has revealed all her skeletons; will Mason finally open up to Sophie? These two put me through the ringer with all the best intentions while avoiding coping from past hurts. The connection they feel is always present when they are together while each one fights it to honor the other’s wishes. I had my moments where I wanted to smack Mason to wake him up and grab this incredible woman in front of him. I loved every heart-pounding, sexy moment of their intense journey.
