Sin For You

Rate this book
My best friend's sister is back in town, and while she’s here, she's under my protection. Quinn Parker had her heart broken, and I'll make sure no one hurts her again.

But when she starts looking around for a hot, no-strings distraction, I can’t stand back and do nothing. No one is touching this vibrant beauty...but me.

She’s the woman of my dreams, but Quinn wants a good time, not a long time. We play by her rules: no one finds out, no one gets hurt.

Sin For You is book two in the Rocktown Ink series by Sherilee Gray. This can definitely be read as a stand alone although as in most series, the characters do recur. This is a brother’s best friend romance.

We met Logan (Bull) Calero, cousin to Cal and Dane, in the first book. He is a talented tattoo artist but only tattoos occasionally now as he is the owner of the bar, The Thirsty Mule, in Rocktown, Montana. Bull has done time in prison. The result of a desperate attempt to try to help his family. He’s a huge, broody man who can make a man tremble just by giving him “the look.” But really, he is a protective, caring teddy bear who will do anything for the people he loves.

Quinn Parker had left Rocktown years ago and was living in Portland. Her older brother is Bull’s best friend. Now, with a broken heart, the last in a long string of bad relationships, she has come back to Rocktown to heal. She’s working at Bull’s bar. It’s been months and she is slowly beginning to come back from what happened to her. She has no interest in a relationship. Clearly she can’t trust her own judgment in men. But she wouldn’t mind a casual, sex only arrangement. She’s had a crush on Bull since she was ten years old. Could he be the perfect choice or does he only see her as an annoying little sister type?

“I was a failure at love, and I’d accepted that. I didn’t want it, not anymore. It hurt too much.”

Once Bull realizes that Quinn wants something casual, there is no way he’s going to allow any other man to touch her. If she wants her needs met, he’ll take care of her. The idea of any other man touching her makes him crazy. But he knows that she is only staying temporarily. And that’s for the best. Because he’s not the man for her. She deserves more.

“I was exactly the kind of guy I didn’t want anywhere near her. The kind of guy who would hurt her in the end.”

legs around waist

These two were so perfect together. But Quinn’s self confidence was lost with all she had been through. And Bull felt so strongly that he couldn’t be the right man for her. They kept telling themselves this was casual, temporary, but feelings grew. There were also a lot of big smiley moments in this book that I really enjoyed. The only thing that bothered me a little bit was all the hot and cold. The, I want you, I don’t want you. Even though I understood exactly what drove them both.

With that being said, I really did enjoy these two together. Don’t even get me started on how hot they were! Bull was the best with all his over protectiveness and helpfulness. The things he did for Quinn made me swoon. We also get to know his cousin Dane, better in this book, and what he’s going through. The next book, Meant For You, will be his story. So, if you enjoy a hot, sexy, swoony brother’s best friend romance that will also make you smile, you should definitely check this out. Sherilee is one of my favorite authors and I can’t wait for whatever she has for us next!

Oh how I love a grunting caveman that’s big, badass, bearded and utterly loyal. I’m a sucker for this kind of hero and sometimes you need a little mainstream in your life, and this author certainly delivers.

Bull and Quinn a friends from far back. As the sister of his best friend he feels a sense a loyalty to protect her especially after a recent breakup that’s left her particularly vulnerable.

Quinn has returned to Rocktown. After being cheated on she needs some familiarity to regain some perspective. She may not be interested in another relationship but she’s not ruling out intimacy that she sorely misses.

"So yeah, the universe could stop throwing assholes at me now, thanks. I’d gotten the message loud and clear. Love wasn’t in the cards for me."

Bull is a gentle giant who has everyone’s best interests at heart. Although loved by many he believes himself unworthy. He throws himself into his work, running the bar he owns and tattooing. He’d rather not acknowledge that his friendship with Quinn feels like more, that is until she forces his hand.

"If Quinn wanted someone to get her off on the regular, it was going to be me. It had to be me. The thought of anyone else touching her, of not looking after her like she deserved—worse, hurting her—wasn’t something I could bear to think about."

Sin for You is the second book in the Rocktown Ink series but can be read as a standalone. This story is essentially a friends with benefits arrangement with the potential to be so much more once both Bull and Quinn take a leap of faith. With all Sherilee Gray books you can expect effortless writing, heaps of romance and panty melting sex scenes! This was no exception 💜

Holy alpha heroes!!! Talk about the king of all alphas, Bull takes first place by a mile!

’He could be kind and gentle, incredibly patient.
He could also be grumpy and stubborn as hell.’

description

Quinn has had a crush on her brother’s best friend, Bull, most of her life.

’Bull had towered over the boy, crowding him against the side of the diner, and looking him the eye, had shaken his head.
Bull didn’t touch him. Didn’t say a word. Just shook his head. Larry had peed his pants and run away.
Then he’d looked at me and said, “Okay?” Yes, he’d been a boy of few words then as well, and I’d nearly swooned.
I’d been smitten instantly.”

She’s been cheated on in every relationship she’s ever been in. When she returns home to distance herself from the latest cheating scoundrel, she runs straight to Bull who has always been her safe place. Working as a waitress at his bar, he is now in her vicinity on a regular basis and her girlhood crush is growing into something much more enticing. But when a girl who isn’t enough for anyone and a man who is living in guilt come together and emotions get involved, things get pretty dicey.

description

Man, my heart hurt so much for Quinn. How could a woman not be deeply affected by the way she’s been treated in the past? It’s bound to leave permanent marks on your soul. While I haven’t lived that life, I totally empathized with her emotional turmoil and total sense of being lost. She didn’t even know who she was anymore. But when the light finally burst through for her, it was as liberating for me as it was for her. What a beautiful moment.

Bull was freaking perfect! He’s exactly the type of hero I adore. Big, growly, protective, possessive and jealous when he even thinks about another man looking at Quinn. And those character traits remained from the beginning until the very end of the book which made me a very happy reader, indeed.

’ I barely held down another growl. “Watching out for her, that’s all.”
“Oh, suuuure,” Dane said, that twinkle back in his eyes. “You just growled at some guy for touching her, like full-on-from-the-back-of-the-throat, possessed-by-demons sh—t.”’

There aren’t enough words to describe how wonderfully perfect Bull was. The fact that he didn’t see himself as perfect, but believed it to be quite the opposite, was heart wrenching. He was such a good man and yet he’d been fed lies most of his life and couldn’t see that he was worth keeping, worth loving.

description

This was such an amazing read! The chemistry between Quinn and Bull lit up my Kindle before they were even in the same room together. And once they begin to move towards each other, holy heck, things didn’t just get steamy, it was boiling over!

description

There is not real outside drama here. The angst definitely comes from within the relationship as they each carry a ton of baggage, and rightfully so. Even so, this isn’t a heavy read, but it will definitely bring a lump to your throat as this couple work through their own issues and then must screw up the courage to confront one another with their feelings. And throughout it all, we get little nuggets of humor that balanced out the story in a fun and charming way.

Definitely recommending this to all my jealous, possessive, protective, alpha loving book friends!

Bull was the star of this show. He's one of my favorite types of hereos. Big, tattooed, protective, and really knew how to take care of Quinn.

Bull is a protector and a nurturer. He fixed Quinn's car, shoveled the walkways, and much more without being asked to. He just genuinely wanted to take care of her even before he recognized what his feelings were. Nothing makes a man sexier than that!

Quinn was a good heroine. I liked her, but I would have liked her more if she wasn't so back and forth with what she wanted. I get why she was that way. She has not had a great track record with men and she had some residual hurt from her mom's passing.

There is a lot of push and pull in this and even though the conflict lasts until the end, we still got some great time with both of them together. I love to see how a couple works together.

3.5 - "You need to stop blaming yourself…" Stars!

Book two in the Rocktown Ink series; Sin For You gives us Logan ‘Bull’ Calero and Quinn Parker's story. Best friends little sister is a favourite trope of mine so I had high hopes for this one.

He could be kind and gentle, incredibly patient. He could also be grumpy and stubborn as hell... I liked it all.

Unfortunately, I didn’t actually finish this books predecessor; Beg For You, purely due to the story-line, so I am pretty much starting this series from this book. But one thing that became apparent very quickly in the part of the first book that I read, and with this one as well, is that the author has upped the angst in this series, compared to her previous books, and although more enjoyable in this one, I still can’t say I 100% loved this story.

"You said if we were alone and I was feeling it…"

It wasn’t a struggle to read and finish, but we are essentially dealing with two adults who spend far too much time making assumptions about what the other is doing, rather than communicating with them. It got a bit tiring, and at points I felt like someone should have told them both to get off the cross, the wood could have definitely been put to better use elsewhere.

If she needed a rebound, I was going to be the one she used while she got her head on straight…

That-said Sin For You also had all of the things I like about Sherilee’s Alpha men as well, and Bull was an absolute sweetheart, overprotective and caring, and Quinn had the sass I have come to expect from her females. It also set up the next book; Meant For You really well, and I am itching to read Dane and Everly’s story, which is due for release in late October.

REVIEW
Before I say what I’m about to say, I want to point out that this book had a lot of cute moments. Bull getting nervous for their “date” and anxiously primping despite usually not caring how he looks? ADORABLE. Quinn sneaking into his house through the bathroom window to see him? SWOON.

I loved the dynamic between them in the beginning. Bull’s protectiveness (jealousy) and Quinn’s boldness in making the first move was such a great set-up. The angst just angsted a little too much, and I needed something else to drive the story forward.

Quinn’s self-worth has been utterly decimated by her ex-fiancé’s and ex-boyfriends’ (plural) cheating. I understand her insecurity and weariness of jumping into another relationship, I really do. I also understand—to an extent—why this would make her want to keep her and Bull a secret.

Bull’s feelings as a result of being kept a secret was gut-wrenching. He didn’t push her to reveal their situation, but his self-worth (thanks to his mother) may be even worse than Quinn’s.

Quinn had a right to keep her boundaries of just wanting their relationship to be a fling, as she was leaving town soon. That being said, she constantly crossed her boundaries and gave off mixed signals. She’d leave his house early in the morning and then say she only wanted him. She wanted to keep it a secret and then would be suggestive with him around friends and family. She insisted they weren’t dating and then snuck into his house to comfort him. Yeah, I liked that part, but still! Lines were crossed!

Third act breakups are the bane of my existence, ESPECIALLY when it’s caused by miscommunication. AND ON TOP OF THAT for them to not even be an official couple and to go through all this? I’m hoping the rest of the books in the series do not go this route, but seeing how book one—and now book two—did, the prognosis is not good, Doc.

OW/OM DRAMA
brief OW — Bull’s ex (and long-term fling) sits on his lap after he and Quinn agree to sleep with only each other; she doesn’t see him push her away and gets insecure & angry. She (the OW) and Bill also hook up in his office when Quinn first comes back to town (months ago, prior to events in the book) |
past OM — Quinn’s cheating ex-fiancé altered her perception of herself, which causes her to push away Bull (and her feelings for him) |
OM 1 & 2 — Quinn is approached by two men (at different times) in an effort to hook up; Bull interferes in the name of “brotherly” protectiveness |
OM 3 — Quinn is set up with another man by a friend after being with Bull for a while, and Bull gets hurt because she knew her friend was going to set her up and didn’t know how to say no since her & Bull are a secret (per her request, not his)
CHEATING none
THIRD ACT BREAKUP yes
ENDING HEA — 18 months later epilogue

I have a been a big fan of Sherilee Gray for years now and honestly can not jump on her books fast enough. She can legit write the dictionary and I would read it. From paranormal to contemporary stories - I will read whatever she writes! Her stories are always engaging, addicting and absolutely sexy! For this reason I was so excited to jump on the second book in the Rocktown Ink series. I absolutely loved Bull and Quinn's story. Their combustible chemistry was hot as all hell coupled with their strong emotional connection. This story was so deliciously fiery but the way this couple touched my heart was perfection. I loved every word!

Gah!! There is nothing I love more than brother's best friend stories. Add to that a hero that is rough around the edges with a heart of gold? UMM! Yes please!! Bull was everything I love in my heroes and more. He was wounded and growly with enough sex appeal to make anyone spontaneously combust. I loved how he adored and protected Quinn. She was everything to him and he did all he could to prove it to her. Likewise Quinn was strong and sassy but also wounded with a damaged spirit. But Bull was able to prove that she was worth it and more. I seriously am so addicted to this author and her words! Bring on Dane's story!! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

Oh, Bull…you big, gentle, dirty-talkin’ giant you.

We met Logan “Bull” in book 1, he’s the cousin of Cal & Dane. I couldn’t wait for his story. I dove right into this book when I finished the first book. Bull is big and growly (my favorite) and always so quiet. (It’s always those quiet ones…) Yet he had thee dirtiest mouth (another favorite) and wasn’t afraid to protect those he cared for.

Quinn is the sister of Bull’s best friend. Off limits and all that. So why couldn’t he stop thinking about her, looking at her, protecting her? He tried to convince himself she was like a sister…psh. No way, not with the thoughts he was having about her. They tried keeping it casual, tried to keep feelings out of it, but alas, their hearts were meant for each other and they fell hard.

There were sparks for days when these two were near each other. And Sherilee doing what she does best, she made the passion between them explosive and sizzling hot. She also put all the feels in here, making my heart flutter in the best ways and putting those fun little zings…everywhere.

This was yet another amazing story in this series! I love these guys and can’t wait to read about all of them!

I’m a sucker for a good friends with benefits trope. Bull was the perfect combination of a big, grumpy teddy bear and Quinn was a great FMC.

Quinn has had unfortunate luck with men in the past leaving her with trust issues and giving up on relationships. This issue carried throughout the book but I liked how it was done. It really showed how cheating can affect someone and how hard it is to move past it.

Bull was of course my favourite. He is such a teddy bear and so sweet to Quinn. He literally did anything for her without her even knowing. He also had some issues from his past and again, I liked how it was done here. It wasn’t their whole personality but showed that even people who seem okay can be struggling with internalized issues.

This was a classic friend with benefits with brother’s best friend. It has so many sweet moments, some spicey moments, jealousy, fun side characters and overall a good time!

4.5 Just shy of Perfect Stars

Another fantastic book in this series. I am loving this author and loving this whole cast of families:)

My only very minor complaint was I wanted "more" together "time" in public as a real couple but other than that....Bull was absolutely delicious, hot, sexy, alpha....just perfect and Quinn, she was too BUT it was a bit too much her backstory...all the cheating that happened on her/to her...idk for me, it was OTT, I just wished her backstory had played out different but again, loved her too!

Sin for You combines small towns and brother's best friend romances to create a sizzling hot story! Quinn and "Bull" have known each other for years, but when Quinn comes back to Rocktown, things have changed.

Let me first say there were things that annoyed me to no end. I say that because despite these annoyances, I still cared about Quinn and Bull and wanted to see what would happen. These two suck at talking to each other honestly. Neither could say what they actually meant and it led to so many issues. These are things I expect in a YA or NA romance, but Quinn and Bull are in their late twenties, so it was just immature.

Lack of adult communication aside, Sin for You does deliver a very hot romance. Quinn and Bull begin as a "sex buddies" only relationship. Both of them have more baggage than anyone is permitted on a flight. Like, they would both have to pay hundreds of dollars for all the extra baggage they are dragging. Female readers will empathize with Quinn and her insecurities. She has been cheated on and has the fear that she isn't good enough. She also worries that Bull is only there because he has some sort of white knight complex. I really understood her fear and confusion, so I was able to have compassion for Quinn. I also understood that Bull's love language is acts of service. While Quinn misunderstood them, in his brain, he was telling her he loved her. Its very "As you wish".

Sin for You may have some damaged characters, but Quinn and Bull did NOT struggle to connect in the bedroom. There are plenty of steamy scenes that really light the pages on fire. Overall, if you like internal angst, brother's best friend, and a no strings relationship turned real, Sin for You is a good pick!

"I thought I was dead inside before. Obviously not, because how could you bleed out if you were already a corpse?"

After meeting him in Beg for You I already knew he was a broken bad boy, my favorite kind...sigh. As usually seems to be the case, he's got a big heart, but it's buried beneath a painful past that is keeping him from feeling deserving of love. And how I love when the perfect woman comes along to fill his cracks. The only problem is...she might be even more broken than he is.

Quinn is running from a painful past as well. Straight back home where she feels safe. The only thing is, it's 'him' that makes her feel that way. Her brother's best friend is big. "Tall and thick. Neck, chest, thighs, waist, arms...everywhere." He's always been her protector. If only he could have protected her from the damage her ex had done to her self confidence. She was determined to convince him to hire her, and he did. "I'd needed to be near him."

He wanted to be able to keep an eye on her, but it was killing him. Seeing her all the time was torture, though he wouldn't change a thing. "Quinn could be soft and quiet. She could also throw attitude, loved to tease me, and had a wicked sense of humor. I liked it all." Too bad he'd decided to stay in the friend-zone.

The chemistry between these two is electric and I was afraid I might get shocked holding my Kindle too tight. I was tempted to throw some water on them out of self-preservation, but I was too excited for them to finally connect so I figured it was worth the risk. Yeah, I'm a virtual voyeur like that, and I was enjoying the hell out being in the 'danger zone', all up in their business. 😉

I'm really digging the Rocktown Ink series and I think the author saved the best for last. Yup, the more broken the better in my opinion, at least in the romance reading world. And you can't get more broken than what we have to look forward to in Meant for You. The line forms here...

A bull and his octopus 🐙

I know my title won’t mean anything to you...but once you’ve read Bull and Quinn’s story it will make complete sense😁This story sucked me in like a Hoover vacuum and wouldn’t let me go...I’ve completely devoured this story in just a few hours as I couldn’t put it down❣️

Quinn returns to her small home town after separating from her fiancé and quickly gets a job as a waitress with Bull at his bar. Bull tries to keep his distance from her but in an effort to protect her, they eventually compromise and cross a line😍 I absolutely fell in love with Quinn and Bull pretty quickly, Bull was like an onion - he has so many layers but then they both did and it was intriguing to see how a person’s past can affect their future. There is a lot going on in this story in the background but crucial to the story..so I won’t give it away, but a very compelling series and I’m sitting here wishing I had Dane’s story already as I know it will be gut wrenching and will most likely break my heart 💔 but I’m ready! Maybe we can get a novella for Mason, Quinn’s brother💕

Thank you to Sherilee for my advanced copy for which I voluntarily leave my honest review.

Hmm, safe with exception. But I didn’t really like it.

He’s her older brother’s best friend. Ex con. Not so much a manwhore. But a bar owner and tattooist involved with the biker gang. He’s protective and possessive of her but doesn’t equate that to attraction. Didn’t like that.

Heroine is a bartender. She on the other hand has a long-standing crush on him. Hasn’t stopped her from being in relationships - mercy! But all four relationships led to being cheated on, most recently by her fiancé leading to her having the self confidence of a beaten dog. So she leaves Portland and goes back to her home town.

Book starts mid way a couple months after she’s back in her home town and working in the Hero’s bar.

She tries to kiss him during their “moments” he rejects her. He rejects her again. And then, finally when she’s about to date other guys, and move bc she wants casual sex after her last relationship, he says he’ll fulfil her needs. 🤧🙄

Safety; one of the first nights she was back, he was in the office with a woman he has a casual relationship w/ having sex. Also gets sat on by said woman at the bar but he pushes her away because by that point the H/h have begun their secret sexual relationship where she asked for one of the rules to be exclusivity. h gets hit on a lot by bar patrons. The hero wasn’t for me, he was just a chump imo.

Friends with benefits always seem like a good idea until someone catches feelings..... But what happens when they both catch feelings and he happens to be her brothers best friend! I suggest you read to find out ;)
Bull is a big moody brute who owns a bar and happens to be an ex-con. Quinn is looking for a good time not a long time after her relationships failed her in the past. She wants a friend with benefits and bull wants no other man near her ( protecting her for her brother he says) One kiss and a confession of attraction changes it all, they both agree on a sexual relationship with rules of course! Their relationship becomes intense and feelings have definitely been caught. After things get a little messy and tears and booze have been consumed they have come to terms with their feelings and get the happily ever after they both deserve!!

I knew I would love this one when I met Logan aka Bull in book 1.

A grumpy loner giant covered in ink?
Hell, yeah!

And I was right.
This book was everything.

I was kinda sceptical at first, though, because I don't like friends-with-benefits trope but this one was done so freakishly well, I sorta devoured this baby in one sitting.

I loved Bull, I really liked Quinn.
They were the cutest.
And with couples like these two, you just know with absolute certainty that they belong together.
And I was just grinning like a fool most of the time.
Plus, the steam?

Daymn!
Absolute perfection!
I loved it and now I'm off to book 3, Dane's story.

Highly recommend the entire series.

3.5 stars here (and I hate giving half-starred reviews, for some reason)

Sherilee Gray tackles the brother's best friend trope with a grand helping of angst in 'Sin For You' and it's a steamy one that pulls you in from the start.

I definitely liked this one much better than the first in the series, even if I hadn't been on board the whole time with the protagonists essentially, taking turns to be wishy-washy about coming up with reasons and/or excuses why they shouldn't be with each other and why they have nothing but sex to give.

It's a strange one I'll admit; the angst and the monologues that both Bull and Quinn emit in stages can both tug at the heartstrings and annoy simultaneously. Gray writes well enough and eloquently enough to show the pain each character has gone through, but the manner in which they repeatedly switch roles in trying to justify their actions and beliefs (while assuming too much and hashing things out too little) did get grating after a while. And just as you think they've got it sorted, off they go again, on a tangent that could have been easily solved by a bit more talk and a little less internal self-agonising.

'Sin For You' is quite an emotional see-saw to say the least, and all the quirks that come along with it. Both Bull and Quinn are relatable (sort of) and Gray does tension and steam well enough that I can squirm with glee each time the both of them mess up the sheets. It's not a bad read nonetheless, even with the hand-wringing, needless tears and the multiple turns the characters take on the merry-go-round.

Loved Bull

My heart hurt for Bull! I loved Bull in the first book so I couldn’t wait for his book. And it was everything I’d hoped for.
Quinn is unlucky in love, when her fiancée cheats on her she decides to go back home and regroup. Getting a job at her brothers best friends bar she gets to spend everyday with the big burly man that has been in her dreams for years. Her brothers best friends.....he’s off limits.... but can she stay away?
Y’all these two are perfect together. She’s sassy and he’s a man of few words....unless they are dirty words and geez this man is hot. Loved the characters, loved the writing and loved the story.

I’ve been looking forward to Bull’s story pretty much since he stepped on to the page in the first book. I was pretty much extremely excited to start this one and it didn’t disappoint. It contains one of my fave tropes, best friend’s younger sister which took my excitement to another level. Sin For You is awesome. I loved Bull and Quinn’s story, it’s sweet, sexy and hot. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 5, 2019

My best friend's sister is back in town, and while she’s here, she's under my protection. Quinn Parker had her heart broken, and I'll make sure no one hurts her again.

But when she starts looking around for a hot, no-strings distraction, I can’t stand back and do nothing. No one is touching this vibrant beauty...but me.

She’s the woman of my dreams, but Quinn wants a good time, not a long time. We play by her rules: no one finds out, no one gets hurt.

I have to keep it casual because an ex-con like me can't offer her forever…even if I want so much more.

REVIEW: SIN FOR YOU is the second instalment in Sherilee Gray’s contemporary, adult ROCKTOWN INK erotic, romance series. This is thirty-two year old, bar owner /tattoo artist Logan ‘Bull’ Calero, and twenty-six year old, waitress Quinn Parker’s story line. SIN FOR YOU can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalment is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Quinn and Bull) SIN FOR YOU follows the best friend’s little sister trope. Quinn Parker has no luck when it comes to her love life having four failed relationship end after finding her significant other(s) in the arms of other women. Returning home to Rocktown, Montana Quinn finds herself working for her brother’s best friend Logan ‘Bull’ Calero, a man who stirs something deep within our story line heroine.

Logan Calero doesn’t do relationships, believing himself not worthy of love or affection, especially a relationship with the woman that calls to his heart. Trying to keep his distance is futile as every man eyes what Logan desires to claim as his own but claiming Quinn means betraying a man to whom he made a promise to protect and defend. What ensues is the back and forth, hot and cold, building relationship and love between Quinn and Bull, and the potential fall-out as their time together comes to a close.

Quinn knows her time in Rocktown is temporary but secretly hopes her ‘friends with benefits’ relationship with Bull Calero turns into something more. A series of misunderstandings and miscommunications find our couple at odds in an attempt to understand their emotions and feelings towards one another. Hoping to keep their ‘affair’ a secret, Quinn makes Bull promise to keep silent about their time together, a promise that is increasingly difficulty as the heart wants what it cannot have. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters include Bull’s cousin Joel ‘Cal’ Calero and Cass (Beg For You #1), Cal’s brother Dane, as well as Quinn’s brother Mason. Both Dane and Mason are struggling in their personal lives, struggles I hope will be addressed in the future.

SIN FOR YOU is a story of forbidden romance; a best friend’s younger sister story of unrequited love and attraction but an attraction that grows deeper with each encounter. The character driven premise is engaging and inviting; the romance is spicy and sexy; the characters are wounded but surviving. SIN FOR YOU is an edgy and dramatic addition to the author’s ROCKTOWN INK series.

Ok I loved loved looooved Sin for you it is book two in the Rocktown Ink series and can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend that you read Beg for you first you may run into some minor spoilers . When I finished the first story I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one the when the characters were mentioned and it showed how they were with one another it just mad me want more . Bull and Quinn were likable characters but they did frustrate me with how they handled certain situations . Bull is just wow he's HUGE everywhere ;) but also self doubts himself because of his past ok another thing was that he is funny loved being in his point of view with some of the things he thought or did . Quinn was a ok heroine I understand her reasoning of not wanting a relationship with the hero because of her past betrayals but some of the things she did frustrated me . Overall this was a good story really enjoyed the characters and the sex scenes were off the chart HOT . I can't wait for the next you really looking forward to Danes story I just know it's going to brake my heart .

Okay, I’m just going to say it. This is not one of my favorite books by this author. I’ve read quite a few of her books and this one just didn’t have the same (I dunno the word) that normally comes with one of her books.

However, this wasn’t a bad story. Like I said, it lacked that certain spark I normally see in this author’s work so … it’s just an opinion really. Now that’s just really in the leads themselves. I didn’t believe in them. I actually didn’t like how the author portrayed them. They lacked the communication skills I would like to see in people almost 30 years old. They came across as immature to me so I was put off. But their story or rather journey was okay.

Honestly, everything I have to say is pure opinion so it’s pointless for me to just drone on and on. So I won’t LOL But one little tiny thing that I just cannot not mention … I’m not exactly sure what’s happening here with these covers, but they make me twitchy. I glance at them and my brain immediately goes to paranormal *shrug* (I’m picky about my covers, sorry)

** I WAS GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO READ THE ARC IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW **

This is seems like it would be a slow burn as most of the 'Brothers Best Friends" books I have read are but there is so much more to this one that make me love it!

This book is a flip to the normal conventions that I like, mainly because its Bull who has taking over the Pining part as opposed to Quinn. Now I know that is a generalization of these type of books but hold on with me here. Quinn has always been attracted to Bull, because he was older, better looking and treated her with kindness that he normally did not show other people. But that's as far as it was for Quinn in the start, but Bull... Bull was the one who was torn for his attraction for Quinn and his loyalty to his best friend and her brother.

If you like the best friends little sister trope then you are going to love Sin for You.

Alpha Hero who is a giant teddy bear for his woman – Check
Sassy Heroine – check
Angst – check (although could have been avoided)
Lots of emotional baggage on both sides lead to the aforementioned angst due to the projection of the past onto the present. A lot of the problems between Bull (Logan) and Quinn stem from their personal insecurities which alter their perception of actions and interactions. This then exasperated the turmoil between them by their lack of clear communication and initial self-imposed casual status of their relationship. *SIGH*

Despite the aggravating lack of communication, Logan and Quinn are endearing, flawed characters who deserve happiness.

Sherilee does a fantastic job of progressing the series and laying the foundation for Dane’s story in Meant for You

Sherilee continues to be one of my favorite authors and if you have not read her you need to! Her characters are gritty, tough, survivors, multi dimensional and love deeply. Bull and Quinn's story pulled me in from the very beginning and I could not put this story down. They save each other from the very beginning of the story and continue to learn and discover what happiness really is page after page. Although it is a stand alone I'd recommend reading Cal's story first (Beg For You). It will make this story even better (and that story was soooo good too:)). I absolutely loved this story and can't wait for Dane (and hopefully Mason's) story to come to life!

Sherilee Gray, you are officially to blame for the horrible, bleary-eyed, sleep-deprived day I had. Had this story not been so good and sexy, had I not just been IN LOVE with Bull and dying to see him get his girl, I might have gone to sleep at a decent hour last night but oh no. . .

Well, it was totally worth it, I can't say enough how much I am truly loving everything (so far) that this author has written, truly I haven't been disappointed yet and I am truly loving this Rocktown Ink series. Can't wait to read about Dane and Everly next!!

I wanted to like this title. I liked the idea of it, and I liked the blurb. Unfortunately, the characters didn't feel real and it felt like the story went for the obvious cliche in the trope instead of telling a story that was fresh.

I will try the author again, as this was my first with her, but this title wasn't a win for me.

This story was heartbreakingly beautiful. Both of the characters, Bull and Quinn, have issues with their self image. Both have imperfections but that is what makes them likable and relatable. You just have to root for Bull to get Quinn because he is so alpha, growly and absolutely delicious. I can’t wait for the next installment in the series!!
