The Best Friend Hookup
My best friend is crazy.
She wants me to do things with her…in the bedroom.
The things she wants to do, wouldn’t be a part of our usual hangout, where we play video games, or stuff our mouths with extra cheesy pizza.

a quick friends to lovers romance

A short, fun and thrilling read.
When Julia wants more experience in the bedroom to get the guy she's been crushing on for way too long, she sees that only her best friend Braxton is the perfect fit for the job.
He's wanted her forever and so when Julia offers him, herself on a platter he finds it hard to keep himself from saying no.
However as they take the next step in their friendship, it's had for them to stop the lines form blending. Emotions that were surpressed, explode out and causes some tension.
Despite that they see though and get the happily ever after they deserve.
A brilliant read if you want something with low drama, a quick flirty fling, and some emotion and heart to make you instantly love these characters!

This story was super cute and I loved Brax but really didn’t like Julia to much at times. She was adorable in a very naive sort of way but she was a bit to oblivious in her actions for me to overlook. Overall I did enjoy the premise of the book but Julia’s behavior has me shaking my head at times.

I chose this book based on the titled... but I dnfed it after juila asked braxton to take her virginity and he said "I don't know" and she just keep listening things off I had second hand embarrassment 😅

This quick read romance was cute and had a fun storyline. I liked Brax a lot. He was a great friend and simply a really good guy. Julia was a different matter. I could admire her determination and I could understand her cluelessness about what a winner Brax was because A. The whole Friend Zone thing and B. Because it took the story in the direction it needed to go. Honestly though, I could not believe that that loser was her big crush and dream guy. I mean everyone's tastes are different but, Really?!!Add to that the fact that I thought she was frustrating, annoying and simply one hundred percent self centered and I was not a fan. Aside from her though, I thought that this was a entertaining read. I am posting a forthright, voluntary review.

After a few times of hooking up, Brax realizes he definitely wants more but isn’t sure she feels the same way. And after a terrible date with her crush, Julia is ready to admit her feelings for her best friend.
Happy endings.

I thought The Best Friend Hookup was a good short read it and I can't wait to read more by her in the future . The characters did frustrate me with how they would go about things I wished they would have said what they meant to one another . But over all this was a good book and I can't wait to read more by the author in the future .

I’ll sum this short story up in two words - “eww” and “yikes”.
Julia and Braxton were flat. Their relationship was flat. The smut? Cringy af 😖 so much of what Braxton said and thought was red flag worthy (like in how he refers to her virginity) and even after the time jump in the epilogue, his tone was gross and juvenile 😒 NOTHING about it was attractive in an MMC.
And Julia! Ffs when she was pawing at him when he was having some doubts? Trying to rush him? Again, wasn’t hot. It doesn’t make her seem hot and eager. It made her seem like a self centred, awful friend ready to use her friend like he doesn’t have feelings or opinions of his own. It also made me wonder if she - a junior in college - knew what consent was 🤢
And maybe it’s just me, but the unsafe sex was an ick too 😵💫 like you’re both in college and she goes on about Braxton being a player - but her concern seems to go out the window when they’re naked 🙄
Maybe - MAYBE - this could have been better if it was longer and their relationship was developed more. If we had a bit more meat to their relationship and had a better idea of how that bond was formed. If we saw some of their trials, highs and lows, and they were allowed to be more than just two names on page.
Totally, 100% don’t recommend.

Bem, já tinha lido um livro da autora e não fiquei propriamente feliz, mas decidi dar outra oportunidade.
Mas novamente, fiquei desiludida, sabia que era um friends to lovers com spicy, mas não sabia que teríamos uma personagem feminina tão egoísta.
Eu compreendo que a Julia não queria ser como os pais, mas ela acaba por ser pior porque ela usa o melhor amigo sabendo dos sentimentos dele.
No final, corre bem para ambos, mas acho que muito do que aconteceu poderia ter sido evitado se a Julia pensasse um pouco para além dela.

If you're looking for a quick 5 minute read, then this is the book for you. It wasn't too bad just wish her date with Chad was in her POV. Would only recommend if you're looking to kill a few minutes. On to the next!

cute read
Quick read and it was sweet, both characters were interesting and seeing the MMC stay in the friend zone was a bit different.
The change in Julia from fearing commitment to letting those walls down for Brax was really good.

The best friends to lovers trope has got to be one of my favorites especially when it’s included in a rom com type book. This super short and easy to get through in one sitting book tells the story of Braxton and Julia two best friends who obviously have feelings for each other but whom choose to leave their feelings out of the equation in order to save their friendship.
When Julia has a chance to be with a long time crush, she realizes that to be with her crush she has to get rid of her pesky virginity. And so she devises a plan in order to get her best friend to take it. Of course this wouldn’t be a good rom com movie without that gasp and no you didn’t look moments because you can just imagine how disastrous this situation ends up being for these two characters who just can’t admit their feelings for each other.
This was definitely worth the couple hour or two that it took to read!

Another quick story from Kylie! While I love her style of writing, I really wish her books were longer so that we could get more context information and enjoy the book further. Julie has a huge crush on one of the biggest jocks (and jerks) at school, and after overhearing he likes an experienced woman, she is on the hunt to get rid of that innocence. Approaching her best friend Braxton to take care of the issue and show her the ropes, he is torn because while they’re best friends, he has major feelings for her. As they continue their lessons, Julie starts to realize maybe she wants what is right in front of her rather than the jerk of a jock, but is it too late for Braxton? I really enjoy Kylie’s writing but really love a more substantial book – here’s to hoping we get a full book instead of a novella soon!

So the premise of this was good but there seems to be some holes in the story. I love the idea of best friends falling in love but the part that got me shaking my head the most was with Julia. She wanted to lose her virginity and get pointers on how to get her crush. This guy is douche for real but she can't see it. I really felt bad for Brax in this book. He opened himself up and got burned with Julie. He did what she asked of him but still is hooked on someone. The moment that I just wanted to smack her was when they finished and she immediately started talking about her crush. I was just shocked along with Brax. This girl has some issues and finally realizes what she did wrong. It takes a while though. Brax I adored. He stepped up and did what he always dreamed about. She blew him off but he still stuck by her side. This was a cute book but I thought it could have been more.
