New Aviation Training Centre in Vietnam is Ready to Train Pilots

BAA Training Vietnam, brand new aviation training centre, announces being officially ready for training, as the training centre receives Approved Training Organization (ATO) status and the first Airbus A320 full flight simulator is fully assembled and approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam.

BAA Training Vietnam as a branch of BAA Training, one of the TOP 3 biggest independent aviation training centres in Europe, has been established to assist region with the high quality aviation training. Currently it offers an exclusive Airbus A320 type rating training as it is one of the first training providers in the region to add competency-based training and assessment system into its program.

Training and assessment system based on 9 competencies allows developing pilot competencies needed to demonstrate a good performance in front of realistic threats and errors which cannot be rehearsed.

In 2018 we have started with the establishment of the company and today, using 20 years of experience in the field, we are ready to provide market with high quality aviation training preparing pilots to handle ready for unforeseen and unexpected situations”, comments Egle Vaitkeviciute, CEO at BAA Training.

Newly built 3000-square-meter and strategically located 18km from the airport training centre is designed to operate four full flight simulators in total. With the first Airbus A320 full flight simulator as well as modern Airbus Procedure Trainer already being ready for training, and the second full flight simulator scheduled to be added by the end of 2019, BAA Training Vietnam estimates being able to provide the region with up to 400 pilots with type rating training and up to 1,000 pilots with recurrent training yearly.

With the planned Flame V9000 Commander Fire Fighting Trainer and the Door and Slide Trainer for cabin crew training BAA Training Vietnam will be able to accommodate training need for up to 2, 000 cabin crew members yearly.

“In a successful cooperation with local subcontractors we have been able construct a modern operating training centre in less than a year. For us being in a local market includes respecting local believes and traditions which we tried to implement in every step of the way. Today we are proud of having “BAA Training Vietnam” in its dedicated role, as the first Airbus A320 type rating student group is ready to start its training”, comments Vytautas Jankauskas, Managing Director at BAA Training Vietnam.

BAA Training Vietnam company has been established and is a result of strategic BAA Training expansions plan. As the training centre is designed to accommodate four full flight simulators in total, additional 2 training devices are planned to be added by 2021.

In addition to that BAA Training is actively looking into possibilities to expand its full flight simulator fleet in Europe starting with Italy, where two full flight simulators – Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737NG – are planned to be added in 2019-2020.

Also, recently company signed Join Venture agreement with Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Company (HNCA) for establishment of a new entity – BAA Training China – a six full flight simulator training centre.
