The Elements of Civil War Are Here

Are Battle Lines Being Drawn?

Are Battle Lines Being Drawn? What started in whispers is now appearing in print...American Thinker, Market Watch, Huffington Post, Washington Times, National Review, Daily Wire, Breitbart, Real Clear Politics, and The New Yorker, among others. They are writing about the possibility of a second civil war in this country, a redo of Democrats' nullification of federal law, the insistent opposition and rejection of the lawful election of a president, the movement of many of our citizens to a more agreeable state, and acts of violence.
These elements of civil war are now with us once again...nullification, separation, rejection, and violence. We can argue on the order, but the same elements that 159 years ago transported this country from peace and unity into the hell of armed conflict have reappeared, complete with a great social issue of our own...abortion. The Democrats' past subversion cost 750,000 lives with hundreds of thousands wounded in a country of 31 million...an entire generation of sons nearly wiped out and/or maimed. Liberalism was once a fight for liberty, civil rights, equality before the law, a color blind society, free-speech, limited government, a re-commitment to Judeo-Christian principles, equal opportunity, and a support for capitalism. It has now evolved into a full-blown communist drive. If anyone wants to call it democratic socialism, they will only be kidding themselves. I will call it communism for the sake of accuracy. The precursor to the American Civil War was the Nullification Crisis of 1832. Having originated in South Carolina, it advanced the idea that a state did not have to abide by federal law, that it could nullify laws it did not agree with, or were found to be damaging to their interests. President Jackson was ready to send federal troops to heel the defiant states, forcing them to obey federal law, but the legendary Senator Henry Clay of Kentucky stepped up, offered a compromise that averted disaster, but revealed deep divisions between the sides that would only get deeper. Today, in America, ICE agents, officers of the federal government, attempting to enforce immigration law are being ignored and/or disobeyed in spite of the deaths of thousands of American citizens. Twelve states, all blue, have nullified the Electoral College because it is in their political interest to do so.

California, in the last 10 years, has seen an exodus of over 1 million people

California, in the last 10 years, has seen an exodus of over 1 million people...5 million moved in, 6 million moved out. The inside story is that the middle-class is moving out with the rich and poor moving in...much of the poor coming from illegal immigration attracted to the freebies. The other top states with high moves are: Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, again, all blue states. There are many reasons to move out of a state, but in California it is almost always cost of living and outlandish liberal politics that have ruined a once great state. As a whole, the moves are to red states. Texas has gone from 25 million in 2010 to 29 million in 2019, a 15% rise. Idaho has grown from 1.5 million in 2010 to 1.8 million in 2019, a 14% rise. Arizona has seen a 14% rise since 2010. The governor of West Virginia announced on Fox News several days ago that he is inviting Virginia counties who are displeased with the solid Democrat political turn in Virginia to join his state, a stunning announcement. In effect, inviting separation from a state with which you no longer agree. West Virginia was once part of Virginia, but broke away during the Civil War. The northwestern part of Virginia was pro-Union with very little slavery. In April of 1861, the governor and legislature of Virginia authorized a convention to approve Virginia's secession from the Union. The resolution required voter approval, but the governor entered into an alliance with the Confederate States of America one month before the election and formally entered the confederacy on May 7 with the election still two weeks away. In protest, West Virginians then decided to invalidate the ordinance and formed "The Restored Government of Virginia." President Lincoln decided that rebels had taken over the Virginia state government and were hell bent on insurrection. This prompted Lincoln to declare that the state acted without popular support justifying the creation and recognition of West Virginia, a free state. Today, Virginia is attempting to effectively nullify the 2nd Amendment prompting northern counties to announce they would ignore any proposed state law not in adherence to federal law.

Democrats' tent has become so large that they have lost control, allowing the crazies to take over

Before the Great Civil War there was much violence, especially within the halls of Congress. In the three decades prior to war breaking out there were at least 70 acts of violence between legislators. The violence between abolitionists and slavers was particularly violent, as early as 1855. Today, hate crimes and political violence are on the rise. 91% of Democrats see violence coming. We have Antifa committing assaults against anyone who disagrees with them and members of Congress inspiring confrontation. Is this the beginning of battle lines being drawn? The opposition by Democrats to the election of Donald Trump, the 'Resistance', the impeachment of President Donald Trump on impeachment grounds not found anywhere in our Constitution can only be interpreted as a full-on rejection by the left of a duly elected president. Democrats are now setting the stage for violence after the election loss they know is coming. Schumer is stating his objection to Trump's certain acquittal by saying that Trump will now cheat once again. The Democrats' tent has become so large that they have lost control, allowing the crazies to take over. As of this writing, there is talk that Bernie Sanders can actually win the nomination...a devoted Communist! That, of course, will not happen. The DNC will see to that. The nomination will be fixed as before, but this time Bernie's supporters will riot. The elements of severe conflict are indeed here. Are there any great statesmen of peace and common sense from the moderate left that can help assuage the hate, resistance, the political rage that we know will exacerbate this election year? Is there anyone to erase the battle lines before the division takes on a life of its own? Will anyone from the left step up? We are waiting.
