“Foreign nationals participating in U.S. training go through a vetting process. The Pentagon says it includes screening for any illicit drug activities, support for terrorist organizations, corruption and criminal conduct.”
Clearly the screening process is inadequate, in large part because of the Pentagon’s denial and willful ignorance regarding the motivating ideology behind the jihad threat.
Al-Qaida In Yemen Claims Deadly Florida Naval Base Shooting,” Associated Press, February 3, 2020 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
Al-Qaida’s branch in Yemen claimed responsibility Sunday for last year’s deadly shooting at the Naval Air Station Pensacola by an aviation student from Saudi Arabia.
The shooter, 2nd Lt. Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani, was a member of the Saudi Air Force in training at the base. He opened fire inside a classroom at the base on Dec. 6, killing three people and wounding two sheriff’s deputies before one of the deputies killed him. Eight others were also hurt.
Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, or AQAP, released a video claiming the attack. SITE Intelligence Group, which tracks messaging by militant groups, reported the claim.
AQAP has long been considered the global network’s most dangerous branch and has attempted to carry out attacks on the U.S. mainland.
The 18-minute video did not provide evidence of training the shooter, but did indicate that Alshamrani and AQAP were in communication, said Rita Katz, director of SITE. It was not clear when the video was recorded.
The video claimed that Alshamrani had been planning for years to attack a U.S. base, and had been training and “selecting” targets.
The video, which was viewed by The Associated Press, provided a will written by Alshamrani to his family in September 2019, three months prior to attack. He said he wanted to attack the U.S., citing religious reasons. However, he made no mention of al-Qaida.
Foreign nationals participating in U.S. training go through a vetting process. The Pentagon says it includes screening for any illicit drug activities, support for terrorist organizations, corruption and criminal conduct.
The video included audio from top AQAP leader Qassim al-Rimi claiming “full responsibility” for the attack by Alshamrani, calling him “the hero, the courageous knight.”…

Unfortunately, when it comes to dealing with Saudi Arabia, money and big business over-ride all common sense, and even national security, because of two things: arms sales and oil. Even after 9/11, when 15 of the 19 murderers were Saudis, nothing changed. In fact, Bush allegedly even arranged for members of the Bin Laden family to be airlifted out when all other flights were grounded.
We elect our governments to look after our welfare and security, but so often their priorities are to serve the interests of big business, and the rich and powerful.

I’m beginning to think the U.S. needs to adopt a direct democracy system similar to that of Switzerland. It may be the only way to sideline the slimy, self-serving politicians & bureaucrats who run this country — people who shouldn’t be allowed to run a local 4-H club, much less a world superpower. Maybe the revolutionaries of 1776 didn’t go quite far enough when they settled on a representative democracy. Perhaps the Founding Fathers were (on the whole) too honorable themselves to imagine the slippery sleazebags and dopey ideologues who would be in charge of the nation a couple of centuries later.

There is probably only one way to make matters even worse. A direct democracy would be it.
Savvy Kafir says
If it were implemented today, with the current state of disinformation & political correctness among voters, that might be true. But if we can ever get the public to wise up…

This sounds like saudi disinfo. No guise… it wasn’t us… Two months later we have someone else finally claiming responsibility.
No, I think I’ll keep pointing the finger at the house of Saud until I have reason to believe (proof) they’ve denied entry to others they deemed too radical and that the distribution of denials to applicants approaches a number our IC gauges to be on par with the remainder of the population.

2nd Lt. Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani was a human time bomb as are MANY Saudi youth educated in their school system to HATE JEWS, CHRISTIANS, HINDUS and SHI’ITES.
Saudi primary and secondary textbooks are a serious threat to American security, to the security of America’s NATO allies and to peace in the Middle East. We ignore these school texts at our own PERIL.
2nd Lt. Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani was not UNUSUAL. All students get the same indoctrination.
Despite assurances in the State Department human rights report that the Saudi government has in the past year introduced “revised and newly written textbooks across the curriculum for most school grades,” these texts continue to promote violence against apostates and “infidels” of all stripes. Militant jihad is justified to “spread Islam” and exalted as “a profitable trade,” which “saves from painful punishment.”
Posted on the Internet and shipped worldwide, these Saudi school texts Dogmatic lessons in Saudi middle and high school textbooks instruct that many Muslims should be killed for their beliefs, including blasphemers, Christian converts, and those who merely “doubt” the Prophet’s truth, as well as Shiites and Sufis, who are condemned as “polytheists” for praying at gravesites. Christians, Hindus and those “practicing witchcraft” are also to be fought and killed.
No group, however, is more vilified in Saudi textbooks than Jews.
The problem is far deeper than that conveyed by the State Department characterization of it as simply “stereotypical” or “anti-Semitic” language. Repeatedly, Jews are demonized, dehumanized, and targeted for violence. A 9th grade textbook, for example, states: “It is part of God’s wisdom that the struggle between the Muslims and the Jews should continue until the hour [of judgment] … The good news for Muslims is that God will help them against the Jews in the end.”
Saudi school books foster extremism. Top U.S. Treasury counterterrorism officials have called the Wahhabi teachings of these textbooks “kindling for Bin Laden’s match,” and warned that, without education reform, “we will forever be faced with the challenge of disrupting the next group of terrorist facilitators and supporters.”
Mike Stevens says
Excellent analysis. As for “the good news that God will help them against the Jews in the end”, the reality is that they would be too busy fighting and killing each other to bother with the Jews, as they have been for 1400 years. They hate each other, Sunnis and Shias, as much as they hate infidels and the West.
An ideology built on hatred and violence is doomed to failure, although of course it still poses the biggest threat to world order for centuries. But the fantasy of world domination can never happen because of the unbridgeable gap between Sunnis and Shias, not to mention the resources, military capacity, and intelligence of the civilised world up against people who in many cases still have the mentality of the Dark Ages.

Mike, I for one am not counting them out yet. We have to convince Muslims that the Koran is of human origin and they will instantly stop being Muslim. This is a daunting task.
And you are right ‘Al Walaa wal Baraa’ is Islamic apartheid. ‘Baraa’ means ‘cleansing’ as in ‘ethnic cleansing’.

Mike, Muslims are indeed murdering Jews and other Infidels.

And what about the kids educated in OUR schools? There is an unlimited supply of them at the moment. They are getting the Saudi curriculum,.

If by “our schools” you mean Madrasses in the US, this is insanely true. Of course, most of these Muslims are also being taught Jihad at home.

This new information about the Saudi jihadist murder of Pensacola makes any informed person think about Islamic kingdom of Saudi Arabia has not and will not spare any of its vast oil wealth as to use its financial resources to fund and promote the advancement of Islam by and through the jihad. By this it means both the stealth jihad and even the subtle support violent jihad.
As explained, for example in the book HOW ISLAM PLANS TO CHANGE THE WORLD by William Wagner. For on pages 109, 110. The reader is informed that “The Wall Street journal on April 15, 2003 published an article titled ‘In law Seminars, A Saudi Group Spreads Extremism.’ The article began by saying ‘In late February more than 300 young men from across Europe gathered for a weekend seminar on Islamic Law put on by Al-Waqf al-Islaami Foundation.’ The article went on to explain that the most famous graduates from the seminar were half a dozen members of the group of young men from Hamburg, Germany, who plotted the September 11, attacks. The language of the was Dutch, but ‘the message was imported from Saudi Arabia, via Saudi books and lecturers who taught a strict orthodox interpretation of Islam.’ “
Further on the very same page of 110 the information is given that “TIME MAGAZINE , in an article on Saudi Arabia: Inside the Kingdom,’ stated ‘Apart from channeling money to foundations that have assisted terrorist groups, Saudis have for years supported institutions abroad the propagate Wahhabism.’”
In addition to all this, in the book of the title of THE HISTORY OF JIHAD FROM MUHAMMAD TO ISIS, by Robert Spencer on pages 333 through 337.Mr Spencer provides valid information of the subject of “ The Saudi involvement in September 11.”
So with that Islamic regime of Saudi Arabia and its oil money support the different type of the jihad, both stealth and the violent kind, with its Islamic agenda advancement and spread , influence and infiltration of the Western nations ,this kingdom of Saudi Arabia is no friend at all of America or any other country of the West.

So the terrorist to be is going to admit to being trained to murder Americans? It is not possible to “vet” so thoroughly that any and all connections or contacts or encouragement to commit terror acts will be discovered.
Every time this sort of thing happens…a moslim terrorist is allowed into the country and commits mass murder…the claim is made that there is a strict “vetting process.” The one making the claim should then be asked, “So, you vetted this guy and still allowed him inside the country?”
Because one of these things is true: the vetting process fails time and again….or the people doing the vetting are willfully allowing terrorists to enter.
Either the vetting has major flaws, incompetent people working on it, moslims are working on it, supporters of moslims are working on it, or…the moslim’s ties to terror are ignored…for some other “reason.”
Of course, every moslim is a potential terrorist just waiting for the right time, the right target, etc. But so many of the ones who follow through on the filthy books’ commands to kill…are also connected to someone, or some group, that is helping with the planning, or is giving encouragement or funding, etc.
I would be ashamed to say, “We have a vetting process,” after one of the vetted has murdered citizens.

Otherwise you’re playing “muslim roulette”…

Yep. A smart & principled American leadership would tell the Saudis to f*ck off, and take their rancid oil with them — and tell Lockheed Martin and other weapons suppliers to just suck it up and deal with the loss of that market. But at this point, the money men are calling the shots. It’s a stupid, short-sighted approach to a dangerous situation.

There is no excuse for our government to continue the charade with Saudi Arabia, that they are a close ally of ours. Saudi Arabia is a closed islamic state that promotes and funds terrorist around the world. It appears that the profit driven defense industry controls our foreign policy based on their profit from sale of military hardware to countries like Saudi Arabia. Once again big business and big profit out weigh the safety of our military and citizens.
