When President Trump moved the US embassy to Jerusalem, the “Palestinians” threatened all sorts of reprisals. For the most part, they did not materialize. Often when you stand up to violent intimidation, you find that the one doing the intimidating was more bluster than substance.
“After Abbas says cutting Israel relations, official states security ties intact,” by Adam Rasgon, Times of Israel, February 2, 2020:
The Palestinian Authority has not halted security coordination with Israel, but ties between the two sides are tense, a senior Palestinian official said on Sunday.
The official made the comment a day after PA President Mahmoud Abbas said in a speech to the Arab League in Cairo that the Palestinians had informed Israel and the US that there “will be no relations with you…including security relations.”
Abbas said he was severing ties in the wake of the Trump administration’s peace proposal, which he rejected with the unanimous endorsement of the Arab League countries.
“Until now, the coordination is ongoing, but relations are extremely tense,” the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told The Times of Israel on Sunday.
The Palestinians have expressed frustration and anger since US President Donald Trump last Tuesday launched his administration’s plan to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which heavily favors the Israeli government’s positions….
The official suggested that the PA would indeed seriously consider ending its security and other ties with Israel, if the latter annexes parts of the West Bank.
“There will be major consequences,” if Israel annexes areas in the West Bank, the official stated. “The entire equation will change.”…

Mr. Spencer, please stop using the word ” palestinans ” and use the correct words,
namely ” Arabs living in Judea & Samaria “!

It’s pretty interesting that the Palestinian Authority has security coordination, but pays benefits and pensions to the families of suicide bombers. I think the PA likes the do-ra-mi that Israel passes along to it. Plus, Saudi Arabia is in a de facto partnership with Israel to keep Iran in its place. The PA can’t look to Saudi Arabia for support in intensifying its conflict with Israel.
I hope the Trump administration, and the creators of the newest plan for peace don’t take themselves too seriously. The PA will never agree to a permanent accord. It’s partly because of Muslim fanaticism, and partly because a lack of conflict lessens the opportunity for PA officials to line their own pockets. Any PA leader who agreed to a formal peace with Israel would be assassinated. I don’t think there’s any denying that.
So, the Palestinian conflict can be managed indefinitely, but can never be solved. It was like the Iraqi situation in 2003 before George W Bush went bonkers, manufactured stories about weapons of mass destruction, and invaded Iraq. The US had Saddam Hussein bottled up, and was protecting the Kurdish state that drew a lot of Hussein’s attention. If Bush had recognized the difference between managing and solving, we’d be trillions of dollars wealthier, and would not have lost 4 to 5 thousand brave, irreplaceable troops.

There is no security in quote Palestine unquote. The place is lousy with armed Muslims.

According to the feature article:
PA President Mahmoud Abbas… had informed Israel and the US that there “will be no relations with you…including security relations.”
For the life of me I cannot fathom what these “security relations” consist of.
Whatever they are, they haven’t been working…

Abbas threatened to cut security ties with Israel, but they’re still intact
…………………….
I doubt anyone here is surprised by this. Just more witless “Pallywood” posturing.
