“Greek islanders strike against migrant camps,” DW, January 22, 2020 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
The islands of Lesbos, Samos and Chios are the frontline of Europe’s migrant crisis. Islanders have run out of patience, demanding their government empty the overflowing reception camps and return their islands to them.
Residents of the Greek islands of Lesbos, Samos and Chios went on strike on Wednesday, angry at the overflowing migrant camps.
Under the slogan “we want our islands back, we want our lives back,” the islanders shut stores and closed public services, as people demonstrated on the streets, waving Greek flags.
DW correspondent Max Zander tweeted that there was a “massive” turnout at the anti-migration policy protest in Mytilini, Lesbos.
Trade unionists and regional lawmakers demanded that the Greek government immediately transport the thousands of migrants stranded at camps to the mainland after registration. Some of the camps are at 10 times the intended capacity.
Protest organizers said they are also seeking more information on the government’s announcements that it will build more camps on the islands.
‘Our island can no longer be the site of lost souls’
“We can’t continue to put up with this situation in our small town,” said Giorgos Stantzos, mayor of Vathy, the main town on the island of Samos.
“Our island can no longer be the site of lost souls and suffering people,” the regional governor of the northern Aegean Sea region, Kostas Moutzouris told Greek broadcaster ERT Open….

I would bet there is plenty of room in Iraq for those migrants since so many Christians have left the country. But if not, there should be room in Saudi Arabia or maybe Libya or Algeria or Morocco. Aren’t there about 57 different Islamic majority countries? Am I to believe that Muslims do not take care of their own?
Just Venting says
You believe correctly. Certain cultures tend to be very tribal. Letting in another group from a different tribe can be politically dangerous and may lead to serious instability. Jordan’s issue with the “West Bank” refugees in 1970 is a good example. Besides, certain political blocks need permanent refugees and permanent victims so the UN will force members to send in billions of dollars that will be redirected to Swiss Banks, mistresses, and villas.

Muslims destabalize any Infidel nation. That is what the “Hijira”–immigration in the way of Allah–in intended to do.

The objective is to conquer non-Muslim nations. They know exactly what they’re doing. Saudi Arabia is funding all of it.

Saudi Arabia isn’t behind *all* of this–but certainly they are funding a great deal of it. Ursula, they are certainly no allies of ours.

Why should muslims take care of their own: EU will be very upset if it does not do its inherent duty to islam and the great population replacement. EU is born with a tendency to surrender to islam. It’s a greatest thing. Not honor. EU has no honor.
Elizabeth says
No, they do not take care of their own unless it is same tribe or such. And yes, there are 57 Muslim countries who are not welcoming them at all. They invade the West as a means to outbreed us Whiteys. I have no respect for our White women who go to bed with the heathens.

Anti mass migration politician: “They won’t stop it – they’re FOR it. You need to vote for politicians who OPPOSE it.”
Normie: “You mean I should vote for those FAR RIGHT RACISTS?”
Anti mass migration politician: “What makes you think they’re ‘far right’ and ‘racist’?”

Bravo to these Greek islanders, and it’s about time. Now if only this would become a huge mass movement throughout Europe, where people have been treated so badly for so long with their virtue signalling politicians flooding their countries with barbaric Muslim invaders.

Exactly. I wonder whether Merkel, the supreme driver of EU quotas of “refugees” / “asylum-seekers”, has seen this dilution of indigenous populations as a kind of penance for Nazi war crimes — but ironically by the introduction of peoples as anti-Semitic as the Nazis

I suspect that Greece’s near (very near) neighbor to the East will be looking at ways to annex those islands in the same manner as north Cyprus. Greece cannot defend itself and NATO will become the new League of Nations. If there are any doubts about the new, self-appointed caliph next door, just look into what happened to the Greeks living in Turkey at the end of WW1 and continuing up into the 1950’s.
GreekEmpress says
I am in agreement with you, Just Venting.
Erdogan persists in constant provocations: violating Greek air space, illegal activity regarding the gas drilling off the coast of Cyprus, and threatening rhetoric meant to intimidate the Greeks.
I don’t put anything past Erdogan. They invaded northern Cyprus, they’ll try something similar again.
The unexpected voice says
Yeah Islamic supremacist dictator like Erdogan counld’t be trusted.
SAFI says
Heh heh what makes you “suspect” that? Is it because just earlier this morning Turkish government came forward demanding that Greece demilitarize its islands?http://www.haaretzdaily.com/turkey-demands-greece-demilitarize-16-aegean-islands-amid-gas-drilling-dispute/
Seems like Erdogan wants to establish another “safe zone” in their neighbors territory like he did in Syria but this time to west. You know in order to resettle “refugees”. Except this time the “refugees” have already been ressetled. In some of those islands the muslim “refugees” already outnumber the inhabitants (with all that means for the islanders’ daily lives). So with his colonists already in place I imagine it won’t be very difficult for Erdogan to win an annexation referendum (a la Crimea)

black adder says
You are right. These same islanders that are now protesting, were welcoming the refugees back in 2015. They also massively voted for a left wing party that promoted mass migration to the country.
I have lived there for a whole year (2015-2016) and I know what I am talking about. Their stupidity is beyond words.
gravenimage says
Yes–this was disgusting, Jake. But how is Greece being conquered by the Muslims going to make Israel safer? Of course, it is not. This kind of schadenfreude only aids Islam.

I passed some years on the Greek islands, at that time they were a good honest people.
But yes, their was a communist/socialist in most all of them. The price of ignorance I guess.
How could a country of tourism, fishermen, sheepherders, and bread bakers know what the EU had in store for them? Steep price.
Andreas Spiracopoulos says
I am afraid I cannot agree with the interpretation of the rallies in Lesbos. ( I am Greek, and , of course, speak the language).
For starters, out of the 3 deputies of the district of Lesbos, the voters there have given one seat to the communist party, one to SYRIZA (the neo communists that governed for almost 5 years, and one deputy of the so called right wing party – it is as right wing as I am the king of Spain, but that is another matter).
In the previous election , all 3 seats went to the extreme left , yes the one that maintained, and still does, that the sea has no borders.
So how come they have changed so radically? They did not .
They are asking for the decongestion of their island (in Greek : αποσυμφορησις), NOT the sealing of the border.
That is, for the speeding up of the process that the current “right wing” government has put in place, namely, to transport all the invaders to the mainland, as soon as they arrive. This policy has, predictably, increased the flow of the invaders to just about the government’s capacity of transport, more or less 300-400 per day at Lesbos.
Of course the backlog of about 20.000 people has remained, and they still linger about.
The Lesbians are asking for :
– The backlog to be dealt with.
– Increase the capacity of transport to the MAINLAND.
– “Solidarity” from Europe, NOT in the sealing of the border, but in opening up their border further and getting all of those “refugees” out of the island and on to Germany , Holland and so on.
What they are NOT asking for are the only things that can stem the flow:
– Seal the border
– Get rid of all those NGOs that are effectively ruling Lesbos (They are even going around in fake police cars!)
– Protect Greece, and leave it to the Greeks.
They just want the invaders off their islands and on to the mainland. Nobody has explained to them that those are not their islands , they are GREECE’s islands liberated by shedding rivers of blood. They just live there as part of the Greek people.
As far as they are concerned, we might as well start a ferry service from Turkey to the mainland and be done with all this . (This is, by the way , what the government has practically done, albeit with a stop over at Lesbos. Whoever makes it to the island wins a free ticket to the mainland).
I have served on Lesbos, and so has my brother (You can say we are , both, Lesbians). Back then it was difficult to get in the fashionable bars and restaurants as a soldier, they did not like us jareheads you see..
These people have mobilised , under the guidance of the communists, for the right to pay 9% VAT and not 24% like the rest of us. They do not want to pay the taxes that are , partly, used, to finance their defence. They do not like the soldiers who are drafted away from their families and friends and stationed there to defend them.
Some years ago , when all this started they were happy to get the NGO money , rent their houses to the NGO people, at exorbitant prices thereby raising the rents in the market for everyone else, army officers, civil servants, middle class people of all kinds.
Of course, with all those invaders there, cutting down the olive groves, desecrating the churches, slaughtering and grilling sheep and goats (always in a halal fashion of course) and defecating on the streets and beaches, tourism went waaaaay down. May be they should have thought about that before.
Those islands are my fatherland. The people that live on them are Greeks. They will be my PEOPLE and deserving MY solidarity ONLY when they recognise the error THEY have made, stop voting for the communists and ask for the defence of our borders as a whole NOT just unload the problem to the rest of Greece and allow the invasion to continue as long as the invaders do not linger there, so that the Lesbians, Chians and so on can continue to happily make money from tourism, also having a 15% cost advantage with respect to the rest of the competition due to the lower VAT just for them.
Now I do not say they should make penance with sackcloth and aches (although come to think of it…)
gravenimage says
Andreas, it sadly looks as though you are at least partly right.
I did some more digging, and besides “We want our islands back” there were others reading “No more prisons for human souls in the North Aegean”–in other words, protesting Muslim invaders just being temporarily held up.
From a BBC article:
North Aegean Regional Governor Kostas Moutzouris said on Wednesday he was “annoyed” that Greek islands had been “turned into places of concentration and detention” for thousands of people around the world.
and
“,,,we want the refugees and the immigrants to go to another place, to Greece or other parts of the EU,” he told me. “More people are coming and just staying on our islands. They live in tents in inhuman conditions.”
He said it would be “a nightmare” if that continued.
and
On the island of Samos, Giorgos, a bartender who works in the tourist trade, told the BBC he was angry with the government.
“Here it’s like a prison,” he said. “The migrants aren’t allowed to leave the island. They aren’t free to go where they like.”
“Greece migrant crisis: Islanders strike over crowded camps”
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-51204084
Although some do seem to have a clue:
“In Samos town there are more of them than us,” Giorgos said. “They are different. They change our culture.” He is worried that this has a negative effect on tourism.
“Samos town was full of tourists before. Many people I know, from England too, they say they won’t come to the town.”
And this is heartening:
Migration and Asylum Minister Notis Mitarakis, who visited Samos and Lesbos at the weekend, highlighted two ways to curb migration to the islands: “First, more efficient guarding of our borders and, second, the immediate return of those who don’t deserve international protection,” he said.
So this seems to be something of a mixed bag.
Andreas Spyrakopoulos says
I certainly hope so , and those protests are better than nothing . Now the minister has said what every half self conscious side of beef would : more efficient guarding of borders , ok , what is the minister prepared to do? Every boat is intercepted , Turkey is a stone’s throw away. You only need a good pair of binoculars and you can count the heads in each boat as it leaves the beach across the channel. How much more efficient can you get ? What do you do with the boats and the invaders in them once they are intercepted ? Nothing ! Are they locked up ? No . There is no shortage of uninhabited islands , the army can put up camps there within 3 weeks . Hold them there , in humane conditions , well fed and cared for, weed out the 1-2% who might be genuine refugees and keep the others in until they decide to go home.
How many people have been deported in the last 2 months ? About 25. How many have come in ? About 5000. You do the math . Turkey will not get them back. Never . That is NOT their plan . There is only one solution , short of machine gunning the boats . Detain all of them indefinitely, until they decide to go home. We will pay the fare, no problem. Once you start doing that, the flow will stop within 3 weeks . At 500 People per day , you need to detain about 10.000. No problem , lots of room. Once the flow is stopped we can deal with the ones that have made it to the mainland. How? SEAL the border to Europe and start plucking them a few hundred at the time. Also , there are no jobs , no food , instead of starving they will give themselves up to be cared for in the detention centers , until they go back . Easy . But what do I know ? I am not a minister .
There lots of solutions , it is the will that is lacking . Otherwise there will be blood . Lots of it . I can assure you of one thing : The Greek people is fed up with this , we will stop this one way or the other . I hope we will do it in a humane way . There is no way we will go down . Not with a whimper , nor with a bang .
Same goes for the Italians , the Spanish and the French , all of which I know very well. Not sure about the Germans , but then again who cares ?

Don’t you think a better point to start would be taking back Lesbos and those other islands which are currently being overran by muslims?
