Yesterday I posted an article about Israeli advances in a dozen fields. I then received an email from Reza A., asking if I would have the decency to do the same for the Palestinians. I’m happy to oblige.
Ababeel1 shortcut “A1” (Arabic: أبابيل1) the first Palestinian reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), armed drone, made in Gaza by al-Qassam Brigades Industries, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
The Quds-3 (Al Quds-3) is a rocket is based on the Russian Grad and BM21 Katyusha. The new rocket, test-fired against Ashkelon on March 28, 2006, weighs 66 kilograms and carries 17 kilograms of explosives. It was developed in the Gaza Strip, allegedly with the aid of the Palestinian Authority funding and Iranian operatives. In April 2006, DebkaFile reported Palestinian militants were manufacturing the Quds-3 along with a multiple-rocket launcher system.
The al-Bana (Arabic: البنا) rocket launcher is a weapon developed by Hamas’s Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades under the direction of Adnan al-Ghoul and Mohammed Deif. Made from raw material and equipment smuggled into the Gaza Strip using tunnels in Rafah, the al-Bana was the first example, during the Al-Aqsa Intifada, of Hamas’ engineers capacity to produce relatively sophisticated weapons. It was to launch Palestinian rocket attacks on Israel.
The Batar (Arabic: البتار) rocket launcher is a weapon developed by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Palestinian militant group Hamas during the Al-Aqsa intifada. The weapon was reportedly created and produced in clandestine workshops in the Gaza strip under the direction of Adnan al-Ghoul until his assassination by Israel. It was used for Palestinian rocket attacks on Israel.
The Batar consists of a simple launch tube supported by a tripod and firing a projectile of unknown anti-tank or anti-personnel capabilities. The rear of the rocket is connected to a wire, which allows Hamas militants to fire the projectile from a safe distance.
However, the al-Batar has proved to be ineffective against Israeli armor.
The Qassam rocket (Arabic: صاروخ القسام Ṣārūkh al-Qassām; also Kassam) is a simple, steel artillery rocket developed and deployed by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of Hamas. These rockets cannot be fired to target specific military objectives in or near civilian areas, and are “indiscriminate when used against targets in population centers.”
Three models have been produced and used, the first being introduced in 2001. More generally, all types of Palestinian rockets fired into southern Israel, for example the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Al Quds rockets, are called Qassams by the Israeli media, and often by foreign media.
The Yasin (Arabic: ياسين ) anti-tank rocket launcher is a weapon developed by Hamas’ Ezzedeen-al-Qassam brigades named after the group’s spiritual leader, Sheik Ahmed Yasin, killed by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) on March 22, 2004.

Impressive list of technology advancements worth of respect and admiration. Well done, Hamas. Your contribution to progress of humanity is remarkable …
Westman says
What is notable is the tech ingredients of Palestinian weapons are all from somewhere outside of Islamic nations. Where is the silicon foundry that produced the integrated circuits, transistors, and circuit components? Israel can make them and exports their technologies, worldwide.
Islam has dumbed down “palestine’s” militants so far that they can only produce unreliable copies of other nations weaponry I with technical help. There isn’t an original though in their heads that hasn’t been crushed and replaced with dogma.
Instead of creating a viable nation from industry, like Japan, that lifts the region to viability, Palestinians allow militant groups to act for them, in violence cycles with Israel, while the outside world throws money and food into the ring like spectators at a cock fight.
Will the Palestinians ever realize they are pawns in a never-ending, losing game?
libertyORdeath says
I agree that there are really no novel “inventions” on the “Palestinian” list, but it is impressive nonetheless that they were able to create these weapons in smallish workshops in many cases.

Westman says,
“Will the Palestinians ever realize they are pawns in a never-ending, losing game?”
Unfortunately, not likely.
The islamic prohibition of freethinking – combined with below average IQs in the so-called “palestinian” population prevents it.
I’m not trying to sound mean-spirited, I’m just stating facts.
Spiro says
It’s a short list there must be more humanitarian advances
After all these years
winoceros says
Let us know if you find one. What dies humanitarian have to do with Islam? You could say the same about adherent Muslims in Britain and the list would be identical.
Carl -stealth Infidel- says
Well, not exactly a cure for the common cold, but it’s definitely Islamic.

And let us not forget the “palestinian” ‘space’ program rocket designed by a company called the”iranians”,an IMBM{Islamically Misguided Ballistic Missile}that may or may not decide to blow up civilian planes{ inshallah},the Abdooool-1: a replacement for the failed Abdoool-1 and earlier Abdool-1 projects destroyed by an Israeli computer virus which caused the software to malfunction with logical propositions of the sort that islam cannot cope with.
Hindu American says
The philistines also cleverly disguised their shoulder-fired missiles as crayons. That’s an art by itself.
FYI says
“There are no Jokes in islam. There is no humor in islam. There is no fun in islam”
ayatollah khomeni
But luckily, that doesn’t apply to us non-muslims,us “infidels” does it?
{Be you a Hindu,Jew,Buddhist,Atheist,pagan Ex-muslim:any non-muslim is an infidel}
Thank God I’m an Infidel.

And this pagan sez, hell yeah. Having fun is part of being human, a sense of humor is a relief valve that keeps us from going Aloha Snackbar!

Yep!! I pray to God 9 times a day, thanking for getting some Common Sense & being an Atheist!

The Philistines came from Crete. Do you think Crete would take them back to their homeland?
winoceros says
All at once, preferably.

“Okay, Palestinians, What Have You Done For Us Lately?”
Ask yourself the same question about the USA Democratic Party; and how much did it cost and how much time did it take ?
Ray Jarman says
Keys,
You can add tribalism for one thing brought to you by your local Democrat (not to be pedantic but democratic is incorrect). They have offered you the opportunity to have your wallet lighter by stealing your money for illegals and deadbeats; forced your children to endure the special treatment given to LBGT starting in the first grade, new ways to tear a once unified nation apart; the list goes on.
Niemoller says
About the same quality of items would compose a list of accomplishments for the entire Islamic world, certainly for the last 800 years, but even during the so-called golden age of Islam, in which inventions by “dhimmi” Jews and Christians as well as ex-Muslim apostates asre appropriated by Islamist propagandists and historical negationists as products of Islam simply because Islam Arab colonialism forced millions of non-Muslims to live under oppressive so-called “Islamic civilization.”
Ric says
The faux-Palestinians sole contribution to civilization adds up to naught. Their contributions, however, to murder en masse, terrorism, and begging for aid are insurmountable. The latter typifies the life of a parasite feeding off a host, the UN, EU, and those of the radicalized-left to satiate their deep-seated want, a hunger to gratify their inherent nihilistic endeavors.
One struggles to fit them into the human species category, as they exemplify all that is evil in the genome of humanity.
The West, by-and-large, pities these malevolent beings while loathing the State of Israel and worldwide Jewry. The latter is not unexpected, anti-Semitism, anti-Israel sentiments have never fallen out of fashion. Indeed, it is, now, fashionable amongst the Left to disparage Jews as it was in Nazi Germany.
Kepha says
Disagree, The net contributions to humanity made by the faux-Palestinians adds up to a negative rather than naught.
gravenimage says
Agreed, Kepha.
James Lincoln says
Could I add “incendiary kites and balloons” to the list?
elee says
Well, only if you remember to deny them credit for the swastikas they paint on them. That part they surely didnt invent.
VarAway says
I noticed that nobody has mentioned the ” palestinian ” invention of the improved
knife sharpening tool, for their national hobby of stabbing the innocent pedestrians?

Assuming that’s THE Reza A., thanks for obliging him Hugh.

Palestine is a made up country, with a race of Radical Muslims, who want Israel to disappear.. Palestinian people need to be dealt with and not by giving them another square foot of property or money.

Robert, you have a lot of brilliant readers with great senses of humor. It’s so much fun to read their replies!
