Maybe one day it will all be revealed. Maybe one day we will find out why the entire media establishment is in the tank for the global jihad, and continually whitewashes it. Wikipedia’s actions here were entirely predictable; indeed, even expected. But who is making sure that virtually everything that reflects poorly upon Islam and Muslims is scrubbed and whitewashed, and those who tell the truth about the jihad threat are demonized and marginalized?
“Wikipedia article on Delhi riots refuses to include violence by Muslims,” by Jonita Singh, Wink Report, February 27, 2020 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
As the North East Delhi continues to be under the grip of violence on the issue of Citizenship Amendment Act, a concerted effort has been taken by a section of media and left-liberal users on social media to portray the pro-CAA protestors and Hindus as the perpetrators of the riots. While both sides have indulged in violence and there is ample evidence of violence by Muslims and anti-CCA protesters, they are sought to be brushed aside and highlight only the violence by pro-CAA crowd. One of the most prominent examples of the same is a page on Wikipedia dedicated to the riots in North East Delhi this week, which is very obviously biased, where the moderators are actively removing content that shows the involvement of anti-CAA crowd in the riots.
The Wikipedia article titled North East Delhi riots was created on Tuesday by a senior Wikipedia editor that hoes by the username DBigXray. When one visits the page, the first image one sees is the photo of BJP leader Kapil Mishra, not an image of the riots. Kapil Mishra gets a separate section titled ‘incitement’ in the article, where he has been blamed for starting the riots.
On February 23, Kapil Mishra had asked the police to remove the road blockades imposed by anti-CAA protesters in Delhi. He had given the police 3 days time to open the roads, and had said that after 3 days, he would not listen to the police. Kapil Mishra had said that if police fail to remove anti-CAA crowd from blocking the roads, the pro-CAA crowd will have to hit the streets.
The BJP leader had only talked about hitting the streets, he didn’t issue any threat of violence. Hitting the streets usually means marching on the roads demanding or protesting against something, it does not automatically imply a threat for violence. Several editors on Wikipedia had asked to remove the Kapil Mishra’s photo from the article as he is not directly involved in the riots, and not proven guilty of any violence. But the senior editors, who have more rights then normal editors like preventing normal users from making edits in specific articles, overruled them, saying that he is the central figure in the riots. Being regular active users, senior users also develop personal coordination with Wikipedia administrators, who can block users from making edits in the website.
Interestingly, some people had reference to AAP leader Amanatullah Khan for his provocative speeches during anti-CAA riots earlier in Delhi and UP. But this was also removed by the moderators, claiming that although cases have been filed against Khan, those are not related to the North East Delhi riots….

Nonsense! Who else would be whining about it? For them they are still peeved that they lost so much to the British sending them to Pakistan, after pillaging for centuries like kings. They are getting what they deserve. Modi is as sensible as Netanyahu and Trump. He knows how to deal with these lying perverted monsters.
mortimer says
Dude, please learn something before you expose your suppositions. The Muslims demanded a separate country for Muslims.
Dude says
No, they demanded all of India, and we all know they will continue subversion until it is so. As a backup plan they requested a chunk of India, so they could snatch part of their conquest request, while leaving open the future conquest dream of the whole country which is now hampered by this new immigration law.
This whining is just an early invasion battle. Indians have no doubts about the evil of Islam. They have the guts to crush these monstrous dreams at every step, since now they can believe that some humans can be so evil, and they are prepared to send the monsters to hell. The world will laugh when Islam is crushed into dust. Everywhere.

Dude, you are right that Muslims do eventually plan to take over all of India if they can. But they did indeed push for the creation of Pakistan and what is now Bangladesh in 1947.

Dude, Mortimer is right (although he might have perhaps been more polite). It was Muslims who demanded Pakistan and what would later become Bangladesh as Muslim polities on India gaining her independence.

Might as well just call them what they are, partisans.
Partisan: (adjective) prejudiced in favor of a particular cause.
This is a very dangerous game they are playing with ramifications far beyond their own little bubble.
tim gallagher says
If someone as knowledgeable and intelligent as Robert Spencer is puzzled by this support for Islam, then it is certainly hard to understand. Yeah, maybe one day we will understand why these media imbeciles ( or the lefties in general) run their protection racket for barbaric islam. I find it very hard to understand. I guess it is that somehow they actually buy the BS about how Islam and Muslims are victims and are being persecuted and, therefore, the left decides that it must protect the supposedly victimised, violent, barbaric Muslims. And I suppose these people know nothing about the content of Islam. Then there is the globalist dream that I read about from commenters here at Jihad Watch, which seems to fit in with supporting Islam. Then there is the left’s bizarre hatred for all things to do with the western world. I believe that any sane person who knows even a little about Islam’s evil nature should oppose Islam. It should be that simple. Islam is barbaric in every way, so any civilised person should oppose it. These idiots who run the protection racket for Islam certainly do make it harder for Robert Spencer and other truth tellers to get the truth about Islam out there to people.
Just Venting says
Actually, it is not so hard to understand TG.
First, history shows that being politically correct, at least in the short term, may provide health benefits. Please refer to Charlie Hebdo for any needed clarification.
Second, it always pays to follow the money! I suspect that there is a trade off of editorial content for financial security.
tgusa says
“I suspect that there is a trade off of editorial content for financial security.”
Still, prejudiced in favor of a particular cause. Doesn’t really matter what that cause might be.
Other than that, I agree.
tim gallagher says
Just Venting, you are probably right. There would be the fear factor in criticising Islam as those vicious characters will certainly go after you in the way they did the people at Charlie Hebdo. It takes the type of courage Robert Spencer and others display to tell the truth. I guess the reason I don’t get it is because, if a person knows about all the barbaric content of Islam (the child brides, the honour killings, the calls in the Koran to kill non-Muslims, and so on), then I’m buggered if I know how any person can support and run a protection racket for such a revolting evil ideology as Islam. It is just so morally wrong to support such a barbaric ideology in any way whatsoever. All these leftie progressive types should be ashamed at the way they support such a disgusting ideology, which, I think, is still living the way people lived in the 7th century. As I said up above, maybe these leftie types still do (unbelievably) know absolutely nothing about how barbaric islam is. If they do know how vile Islam is, then there are surely no excuses, not financial security, not fear, etc. .
Mural says
+1. Very True. Admire the courage of Robert Spencer.
Will never contribute to Wikipedia again.
tim gallagher says
Thanks for the comments, Mural and thebigW. What you say is most likely true, thebigW, that the sleepwalkers and incredibly slow learners are still wandering around somehow fooled that we can get along with Muslims and that many of the Muslims are assimilated into our western societies. I only have the time of day for the ex-Muslims, the ones who packed up and left rotten Islam. I believe that all the Muslims want to impose barbaric islam on all of us. I see Islam as 100% incompatible with our civilised way of life. I do have trouble believing that anyone doesn’t hear about the barbaric nature of Islam (there’s the endless terrorist attacks, there’s reports, from time to time, of underaged girls being married off out here in Australia, plus reports of female genital mutilation by Muslims, etc) and, to me, that should be enough for everyone to decide that islam is evil. That’s why I think there’s really no excuses for the people who continue to run the protection racket for Islam.

Wikipedia is, to put it mildly, an “interesting” news source.
Some things, it does very well:
If you want the specs on a ’63 Corvette, or the detailed results of the 1986 Masters golf tournament, it’s spot on.
Anything political, however, and it takes a hard left turn – either by what it leaves in our what it leaves out.
I use Wikipedia only for the things that is useful for.
In other words, reader beware…
Wellington says
Seconded, James. As evidence of how biased Wikipedia is, which is to say how Far Left it is, it describes Jihad Watch as “an anti-Muslim conspiracy blog.”
This is so typical of Leftthink, i.e., demonize (and distort) and thereafter one does not even have to address one you disagree with. You just dismiss the one with a different opinion from yourself—whether on Islam, man-made climate change, gay marriage, etc.
Leftists (and a lot of ignorant wishy-washy moderates too) think they are so enlightened when the exact opposite is the case. Wikipedia serves as a prime example.
gravenimage says
Agreed–if the topic is politically neutral, Wikipedia often does a good job, or is at least a good place to start one’s research to get a general overview. Otherwise, not so much…

Hugh Fitzgerald says
There are many Wikipedia entries, having to do with Islam, Israel, the Qur’an, Muhammad, Jihad that need correction. Every taking to task of Wikipedia’s editors, pointing out ttheir misstatements and errors, and at the same time making those misstatements public — in articles, or postings on-line –will help.
I just took a quick look at the Wiki entry for “Palestinian people.” As expected, it was full of errors. The existence of the “Palestinian people” is backdated by many decades. The numbers of Palestinian refugees is inflated, with no mention of the unique way that alone, among all the world’s refugees, the “Palestinian” refugees are claimed to include the children, grandchildren, and now great-grandchildren of those who left Mandatory Palestine and the Israel in the period 1947-1949.
And there are many other absurd claims in this Wikipedia entry. A high school student looking for information on the Arab-Israeli dispute, for example, would read this: “it is estimated that half of the population in the Palestinian territories are refugees and that they have collectively suffered approximately US$300 billion in property losses due to Israeli confiscations, at 2008–09 prices.[66].”
The source for this last claim is one Perry Anderson, who writes for New Left Review, and who has been excoriating Israel for years, as a “colonial-settler” project, and who has never wavered in his support for the , “Palestinians.” But will that high school student think to question the claim that the Israelis confiscated $300 billion in property losses? Of course not. It’s too bad that there is not a Wikipedia entry for “Most Egregious Errors in Wikipedia Entries.” That would be easy to compile.
Here is an appeal to JihadWatch readers: read the Wikipedia entries for the following: Palestine, Palestinian people, Hajj Amin el-Husseini (whose active encouragement of the Holocaust, in his talks with Hitler, is not mentioned), Muhammad, Jihad, Taqiyya. Find the false statements amidst the true. Collect them, and then email them to Robert so that they might.be posted here.

Thank you for that information, Mr. Fitzgerald.

Articles like this, and replies like this, reveal a profound ignorance of how Wikipedia works. The author doesn’t realize that Wikipedia has NO editorial board, NO central authority controlling the content. Wikipedia editors are anyone, you can edit also.
Anything that is backed up by reporting in reliable sources can be put into articles. Claims from sources such as blogs, forums, or publications that don’t have a good record of fact-checking and accuracy, cannot be published. What ends up in Wikipedia articles about Palestine, Muhammad, etc are what can be found published in reliable sources.
So if you find something incorrect in a Wikipedia article, the BEST thing to do is go to the article’s talk page (every article has a “talk” tab for discussing improvements), and point out what’s wrong in a civil manner. It is not helpful simply to complain and threaten (as has been done many times now on the 2020 Dehli riots talk page), but to suggest a specific change, cited to a reliable source.

First thing I did when I saw this article was to look up Spencer in Wikipedia. They couldn’t resist mentioning that a newspaper had reported that Spencer and David Horowitz “… cash in on spreading hate and fear about Islam.”
No quotations were made of newspapers reporting that Spencer (and Horowitz) stick to the truthful facts of the matter of Islam, Jihad and Sharia.
Oh, wait a minute, no such article has ever been published by a newspaper.

I want you to know some facts about India and the riots.
1.We have fought 4 wars with our radical Neighbours. There have also been several hundred small terrorist attacks in India after 9/11. Different groups are dismantled and then reappear under new identities.
2. Leftist violence including violence conducted by Maoists insurgents account for our second biggest perpetrators although if you ask me leftist menace is the country’s biggest threat.
3. Several citizens have supported and celebrated attacks on Indian states, they have called convicted terrorists their martyrs and hero’s, they have also come together in criticism of investigations etc. And painted them to be anti Muslim. Please look at the Batla House encounter case. Also note that the current peaceful protests in Delhi at Shaheen Bagh is the in the same vicinity and is an extension of the same place where the Batla House incident took place.
4. The riot has taken place on the pretext of the CAA but really is a response to actions carried out in Kashmir and pressure put on Pakistan by the FATF and the Indian government. It is also a retaliation against the re establishment of a historic and symbolic temple.
5. The first stones in the Delhi riots were thrown by anti CAA protestors. They had stockpiled an estimated 20 semi truck full of bricks to haul at police and bystanders along with acid pouches, petro bombs and used an estimated 5000 rounds on the police and people(guns are illegal in India and issued through a very strict and limited licence regime).
6. India is still a developing country and is extremely conscious about its commitment to human rights and democracy. Its top court is already looking at legal objections to the law. Our courts are very empowered and are hearing the case on an urgent basis.
7. Protestors in Shaheen Bagh have usurped a major four way street which connects two very areas of the National Capital Region. Those roads are fully blocked. Despite several requests to move the protest to a site which doesn’t disrupt life in general protestors have refused to move. There is also a court hearing on this matter. The current riot started when protestors attempted to usurp another major road in another part of the city.
8. I understand people may have fears about certain laws and their misuse. But the CAA is a retrospective law and its rules are still forthcoming. India is one of the few countries of its kind which does not have a register of citizens. We think it is our right to have one, we also think it is an important step which well help regulate and enforce future migration and refugee policy.
Don Ameche says
Are you Indian? Your commentary sounds as if you might be. I appreciate your detailed comment.
I won’t be so articulate. Let me just say from the outside and from history ( both ancient and recent with respect to India)….. muslims seem a perpetual font of violence, terror and divisiveness. For what ever “reasons” they concoct or we in the west invent for them.
I wish India all success in dealing with them.

I agree w/ the rest of your stuff except one point: India is no longer a developing country: it’s pretty much at par w/ the top industrialized nations of the world. Yeah, civic hygiene is a lot wanting, but India has made great strides in cleaning things up. If you’re talking about rule of law, yeah, they could use some improvements, but one thing I’d like to see is them achieving the balance b/w a conscious, self-critical society and a self-loathing society that many Western countries have become

When writing papers for courses on terrorism and terrorist groups, as well as several other subjects, the professors said that “wikipedai’ was not a “source” they would allow for research. They do not look on it as reliable. In every class, at least one student went against the advice and quoted/cited wikipedia. Many times it was inaccurate.
Having read hundreds of articles on the site, I have found that many subjects have a lot of incorrect “facts,” as the one writing about a particular subject may not know about what they are writing. Some just copy and paste from other sites; word for word readings show the truth of this. One area where this is evident is regarding medical matters, and another is regarding “religion.”
It can be difficult to find the “truth” in the days in which we find ourselves. Most people don’t search for it, but take some things as fact without bothering to think and reason, nor to look at many different sources; comparing and using discernment.
