Aleatha Romig is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Indiana, USA. She grew up in Mishawaka, graduated from Indiana University, and is currently living south of Indianapolis as well as part of the year in Bradenton, Florida, USA. Before she became a full-time author, she worked days as a dental hygienist and spent her nights writing.     What an apt title for the second book in this particular series. It’s exactly what your eyes, brain and thoughts become when reading this excellent novel. We start book two exactly where the cliffhanger left us. The storyline is really dark and a lot of the information is very disturbing, but obviously well researched, and sympathetically written. A rainbow and unicorn tale this is not. We learn an awful lot about Madeline’s past, and how she became separated from Patrick. It is a point we’re the tissues need to be at the ready. The story as ever flows well. Is truly descriptive and beautifully edited. We go back in the past with Madeline and learn the hardship and dreadful happenings that occurred to her 17 years ago. There is drama a plenty. Intricate detail , with twist turns, double crossing and despicable characters that make your skin crawl. Patrick as ever remains strong dominant a totally reliable. The chemistry between Maddie and him is sizzling. The ending is one of mouth gapping proportions and totally unpredictable. As ever once you have started a book by this incredible author you cannot put it down. This is not a stand-alone but it is mind blowing. Book three is a wait but it will take that long to come down of the literal high, from reading such an experiencing book.

    Wow! This series gets better and better! It's the first book in ages that I've started and finished it on the same day! It had me hooked! There were twists throughout as is usual with Aleatha's books, it keeps you on the edge of your seat just wanting to find out more! I love reading about all these characters in this while Sparrow world.. they really do keep you interested!
    Towards the end I'd just about guessed regarding parentage to Madeline but when I got to the end I was still shocked... and annoyed I've got to wait for the last book! Lol
    Roll on Ashes because I absolutely can't wait to read what happens in the rest of Patrick and Madeleine's story!!

    Wow! This sexy and thrilling series just took a turn I didn't see coming at all. This part of the trilogy is much faster paced and it reveals so much more about our heroine's past and we see just how much she has been through since she was separated from Patrick. I can't say much more without giving away any juicy details. But if you've started this series keep going and you won't be disappointed.

I highly recommend this and all of the previous brilliant Web Series’.

    OMG I devoured this book and I’m left completely gobsmacked with the ending. Only Aleatha can write a book like this and leave you with an epic cliffhanger. I can’t believe I have got to wait till April for the conclusion. Definitely recommend this book

    SPEECHLESS!!! I am absolutely speechless after reading Flame by Aleatha Romig.

    I never could’ve have guessed the way this story was going to play out. This book was dark, raw, gritty and at times tough to read, all without being overly graphic. I will warn readers that some of the material in this story could cause some triggers or be hard for readers to read.

    Flame is the second book in the Web of Desire trilogy by Aleatha. This book was everything I have come to expect from Aleatha, but so much more. This book is NOT a standalone novel. Spark MUST be read before reading this book. YES this book does end in a cliffhanger, just like book 1. This ending was such a shock to me, I couldn’t have pictured it turning that way. No I won’t say any more, but I will say, I am dying for Ashes….I NEED to know how this is going to turn out.

    In this story we dive further into the background of Madeline. We see how she lived 17 years ago and what has lead her to where she is now. I don’t want to say any more than that. This book reveals more secrets and lies and answers some questions from book1 but also creates so many more questions that I am hoping are answered in the last book.

    As I have said before, but is worth repeating, the more books I read by Aleatha, the more I want to sing her praises. Her books just get better and more twisted as she releases them. She is an AMAZING storyteller. I don’t know where she comes up with these twisted worlds. But please don’t stop writing them!!!!

    If you are looking for a book that will keep you intrigued all the way through and that is UNPUTDOWNABLE….then this is the book/trilogy for you to read!! This is another one for my Best Books of 2020 List!!!! Make sure to add this trilogy to your TBR list, you won’t be sorry!!!!

    Well all I can say is the surprises never stop coming with an Aleatha Romig book. This one is no exception. Patrick really shines in this story about him and his wife Madeline. Now that their daughter Ruby has been included in their lives the twists and turns abound. It’s a mostly exciting ride, however I must admonish those readers that have triggers to beware.

    **WARNING**
    I had to skim through most of the chapters that go back 17 years. The abuse (sexual and otherwise) was too much to read in any detail. That is why this book lost one star.

    Every time I review a new book written by Aleatha be it the first or final book in a series I feel like her writing can't get any better,and each time I'm wrong. This second book in the Web of Desire trilogy delves deeply into backstory of what happened to separate Patrick and Maddy for so many years. However the way it was written is very fluid and continues the dramatic present day drama and fight that keeps them from a permanent reunion. Writing one chapter detailing significant past story then writing the next chapter with the present day storyline in a way that doesn't confuse the reader is difficult, but Aleatha can not only do it well but can continue to add plot twists and OMG moments that the reader can't possibly see coming.
    I've decided to give up writing reviews that say it's her best story yet because each new series proves me wrong. As far as I'm concerned Aleatha's writing will just continue to be epic. The final twists and cliffhanger in this book left me with so many emotions that I waited 24 hours aft finishing it to attempt to write a somewhat coherent review. Wow talk about a book hangover, I feel like I was left to drool and count days off on the calendar waiting for the final book. BTW if you want to more add more book drama to your brain add the Whispersync audio to it, yes I know it can raise the price of your book budget but very worth it for a select few books/series. This is all I feel like I can say without giving away spoilers so I think I'll just go take some Tylenol for my hangover😊.

    I could hardly wait until the date for this book was ready....it finally came. I sat up denying my sleep just to see it comes up at midnight in my library.. I hurriedly started reading this kept me up all night. This book on Patrick's story was a tear jerker. Again I was not disappointed. What a part two. My fingers are even shaking as I write this review. I am literally drawn in the book.

    As I read I am made aware of the darkness some persons go through at the hands of persons they think has their best interest at heart. It's taking me a good while to be back to normal after this read.

    This book will have you on edge as their is one drama after the other. Ms Romig is the ultimate storyteller with enough passion to make you want to crawl on the pages to correct the wrongs done to the hero and heroine.

    I will recommend the series to all avid readers and be captured in the Authors web. Thus book is filled with great a plot and a riveting ending that makes me wish that the next in the series will be released tomorrow.
