Reacting to a rapidly changing circumstances dictated by the spread of the coronavirus, airBaltic, Latvian airline, has announced that it further reduces capacity by 30%.

The airline said it reduces its capacity and, as of 14 March, leaves only 22 aircraft to operate between 29 March and 31 May, 2020.

Before the crisis created by the coronavirus, airBaltic fleet consisted of 38 aircraft. Thus, taking drastic measures to deal with the situation, a total of 16 aircraft have been grounded.

‘These are temporary measures during the crisis, and we need to be ready to get back on our growth path once the situation improves”, the airline said in a statement.
