I've had a crush on Dylan St. Clair ever since he climbed into my bedroom window ten years ago.

𝘞𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘸, 𝘙𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰.

I was eleven, he was seventeen.

A bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks with a chip on his shoulder and fresh bruises from his latest fight, he went on to play the starring role in all my teenage fantasies.

But I always knew he was off-limits. So, over the years I gave up wishing and hoping we could ever be together.

Until he kissed me on a cold beach one starry winter’s night.

Until he said those five words that changed everything.

Dylan intrigued me after I met him in "Wilder Love" and I was so exited to read his story. 😍
This is the second book, but it can certainly be read as a stand-alone. 💜

📚 “𝙄𝙩’𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙬𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜.”
“𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙮 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙨𝙤 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩?” 📚

Dylan St. Clair is the mysterious bad boy with the dirty mouth (yum!) and heavy burden on his shoulders. 💣
Although he grew up with nothing and suffered his whole life from people who saw him as not good enough, Dylan managed to build himself - and now at 27, he's rich and successful - but deep down, he is still the same broken boy. His walls are high and his heart is guarded... until Scarlet came back into his life. 💜💥

📚 “𝙎𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙢𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙄’𝙙 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚. 𝙏𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙤 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙚’𝙨 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙮 𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙫𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙣.” 📚

Scarlet Woods is full of life and spunk, strong, ambitious and the only rebel in a family who is chasing money and success. 💸
Growing up, she was always second best after her sister Sierra, because she was not driven by money, but passion - and now, at 21, she is trying to find her own way, after being financially cut off by her father. 💥💜

But the past and the present collide when Dylan returns to her life, the guy she has loved ever since she was just a child, the man she can never have...
*Her sister's ex.* 😱😱😱

📚 “𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙗𝙮 𝙢𝙮 𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨, 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙬𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙮 𝙚𝙭-𝙜𝙞𝙧𝙡𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙’𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧.
𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙄 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜?” 📚

They both know it's forbidden, but even though they try, they just can't keep away from one other... 😬
Will Scarlet break Dylan's walls? Will she finally be more than the second choice? And will Dylan find the person to believe in him and fight for him...? 💜

📚 “𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜.” 📚

So... there were some parts in the plot that didn't work out for me and some twists that frustrated me (especially her sister's Sienna clichéd behavior) - but other than that, it was a great book!!! 👏💜
Sexy, emotional, full of heartache but sweet at the same time, sometimes frustrating, but witty, romantic and SO HOT. 🔥🔥🔥

It was a journey of forbidden love - where two lost souls try to find their way, separately and together, and proved that true love is worth fighting for! 💥💜

dylan definitely picked the right sister this time around. 🫢

wish the epilogue would have mentioned anything on the sisters relationship and where they stand now 6 years later. aside from a few other qualms, i enjoyed this for the most part.

i started losing interest towards the last 25% and felt the ending was kind of rushed in their reunion/hea, but nonetheless, was a solid read! 🙂

Overall Opinion: Phew! This felt like a mess to me. There were many times that I should have probably thrown in the towel but didn’t. I guess I was just intrigued by the potential for ex/sister drama — I know, I know I’m bad! But I like that sorta stuff sometimes 🙈😏. I was confused by the many references to side character stories that made me question if this was a standalone a few times. There was just too much focus on them and summarizing, or giving totally unnecessary details about, their relationships/stories. I felt like the connection between these main characters fell flat where I didn’t even feel any chemistry between them. I also didn’t connect with either of these mcs and I think that because it didn’t tap into my emotions for them when they went through what would typically be angsty events. I just felt indifferent about it all tbh. Then the cherry on top is that they are 🙄. So with a pat on my own shoulder for finishing this after feeling many times that I just needed to add it to my DNF shelf, this was a little less than “just okay” 3 stars for me.

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Scarlet and Dylan’s story. Dylan is dating Scarlet’s older sister when she first meets him at 11 and falls in love. This story picks up ~10 years later where she refuses to fit in the mold made for her and is being cut off by her rich father. Dylan is now a self-made businessman that has big goals and decides its time to pursue Scarlet after being separated from her sister for a while. Scarlet has always held a special place for Dylan since she is one of the only people that’s ever believed in him. Even though Scarlet still has some strong feelings for Dylan from her childhood, she is worried that he will hurt her and how her sister will react. There is some back and forth, some sexy times, and some drama...and they get a HEA ending.

Point Of View (POV): This alternated between Scarlet and Dylan’s POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Alright, I never skimmed but the pacing felt off at times.

Instalove: Kind of since feelings were already developed when this begins (at least for the h)

H (Hero) rating: 3 stars. Dylan. I liked how he cared for the h but I don’t think I really connected with him.

h (heroine) rating: 3 stars. Scarlet. I liked how honest she was but I don’t feel like I really connected with her either.

Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed

Push/Pull: Yes

Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes

OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: Yes

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: No

Separation: Yes, two times

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: This ends with a few jump ahead parts where they get a HEA. It still was one that has the epilogue right after the conflict (kind of) resolution. I still had unanswered questions .

Safety: This one should be Safe for most safety gang readers

***4,5 "We are everything!!!" stars***

"Dylan St. Clair was about as emotionally available as a rock cliff. The one I was about to throw myself off, praying there would be a safety net to catch me.
There wouldn't be. I already knew that too."

After reading "Wilder Love" which i can assure you it was an amazing reading, i was kind of obsessed with broody Dylan with the bad boy attitude and i was craving his story...
And when i heard that he will be paired with Scarlett and not Sienna it seemed so weird and intriguing as hell since these two are sisters!!!!
The truth is that we witness his relationship with Sienna in "Wilder Love" and it was toxic as hell!!!
From the other hand, i knew nothing about Scarlett and in a way that terrified me, but let me tell you that Emery Rose made the most wonderful and right decision...

"Oh, Romeo, why did you have to crawl into my bedroom window all those years ago?
I was never supposed to fall for you."

Well, my poor Dylan!!! He and his sister had lived so many shit because of their mother... A mother who was mother only by name, but whom the twins were still loving even the troubles that she was causing them...
When that mother left them alone around seventeen, Dylan took it upon his shoulders to take care of himself and Remy, no matter what he had to do...
At the present, Dylan had made something with himself and he has lots of money, but he is still the same broken boy deep down inside...
He just need someone to believe in him and to fight for him, and Sienna, his longtime on and off girlfriend, weren't the one to do it...

"Nobody had expected a punk like me to make good and that made the victory taste so much sweeter."

"Everyone needs someone who believes in them. I believe in you... Just like you always did for me, even when I didn't deserve it. Even when I didn't acknowledge it, I saw you, Scarlett. I always saw you."

Scarlett was really a surprise in this book and I loved her fiercely...
She was everything that Sienna weren't... She was a rebel, free spirited and carefree.... She was full of life... She didn't care to follow the rules that her father was setting and she was refusing to bow in the name of wealth....
She's also in love with Dylan for almost ten years, from that moment that he climb accidentaly in her bedroom window than her sisters, but she always knew that a man like him will never be hers and she had accepted that fact...

"I craved adventure, the thrill of the unknown, and loved to flirt with danger. And this boy standing in front of me, he was dangerous in a delicious, forbidden way."

"Dylan St. Clair was chaos. And chaos always left a trail of destruction in its wake. I just never expected it to be my heart he destroyed."

But lately, their paths are colliding way too much and it is impossible to stay away from each other, even though they should...
After all, Dylan was always her sister's ex boyfriend and she didn't want to make her sister sad, but Dylan is very persistent and she can't stay away from him, even though she is trying...
So what will happen with these two???
Will they have a chance in love???
Or Sienna will always be on the way???
And will Scarlett prove that she is different than her sister??? Will she fight for him and not be ashamed of Dylan???

"Even by my low standards, it was wrong to mess with my ex-girlfriend's little sister.
But when had I ever done the right thing?"

"This thing with us, it couldn't last forever. All the odds were stacked against it. He was him, the guy who had never belonged to anyone, and I was me, the girl who desperately wanted him to be mine."

Well... I loved these two very much!!! They seemed to be wrong for each other but they were so right and perfect together...
Being together was seeming effortless for Dylan and Scarlett and they both deserve to be happy...
They both had their own share on insecurities and ugly things in their lives...
From the moment that Dylan kissed his Starlet and admitted that he picked the wrong sister, something shifted between them...
I really liked seeing Dylan... happy!!! I was feeling so sad for everything that he'd been through his life!!!

"He was the perfect storm. Wild. Unpredictable. Impossible to tame or control. A thing of beauty that could wreak havoc. Destroy you if you got too close.
And I always got too close to the storm."

"She was cute and funny and honest, and she made me wish for something I'd never wanted before. To be the hero in someone's fairy tale instead of the villain."

For once again, i loved seeing Shane and Remy... They also deserved happiness...
For once again, i will repeat that i was mesmerized from the way that the twins were between them...
As for Sienna??? Well, she disappointed me in a way... I can understand how she was feeling but she had do so many wrong moves toward Dylan... She didn't deserve him and that 's the ugly raw truth!!!

"I need you to know how much I love you for everything you did. I need you to know that you're not alone, Dylan. I'll always be her for you, okay? Always." {Remy to Dylan}

Well, I believe that i will miss these guys very much!!!!
Shane, Dylan, Remy and Scarlett had been heard loud and clear by me and i won't ever forget them...
Please, if you would like to read something new, please read both these books...
The author has a beautiful way to write her stories and she will charm you with her characters very much!!! Trust me on this!!!

"No way in hell was I giving Scarlett up. She was mine, and I was hers, and it was just that fucking simple."

"What are we, Dylan?
We're everything, Starlet. Every-fucking-thing."

After finishing Until August, I had to go back and reread the first two books as it's been a couple of years and I wasn't ready to let go of these characters. I still FLOVE Dylan, and Scarlett was his perfect match. It was bittersweet seeing Nicola and Cruz together.

This is one of my all-time favorite series. If you like angsty romance with all the feels, and you haven't read this series yet you are missing out.

Highly recommended.

…to Dylan, I was just his ex-girlfriend’s little sister. Nothing more.

Dylan St. Clair was chaos. And chaos always left a trail of destruction in its wake. I just never expected it to be my heart he destroyed.

Sweet Chaos is without a doubt one of my favorite reads this year! I FLOVED this book. As I am still fairly new to Emery Rose’s work, I wasn’t entirely sure what I was getting myself into when I picked up this forbidden/taboo tale of the bad boy who falls for his ex-girlfriend’s little sister. And let me just tell you… it was phenomenal! Everything about this book makes it worthy of one of my rare five-plus star reads!!!
“I pick the wrong sister.”
I picked the wrong sister.
There was nothing right about this. Except for the way he made me feel.

We were a cautionary tale of why you should never cross the lines of friendship.

Emery Rose writes an emotionally complex tale that is absolutely stunning. I’m still recovering from reading her words, and I can say that she’s surpassed my every expectation. Sweet Chaos offers readers an intense storyline full of angst, vivid imagery, and unsurpassed passion. Moreover, the story is also insanely hot. Dylan and Scarlett were downright combustible. Their sizzle will straight up ignite your kindle—and likely your panties! Honestly, it’s my advice that when you pick this one up you either have your spouse on standby or your batteries charged! 😉
…I chuckled soundlessly at the words painted on her T-shirt: I’m A Little Fucking Ray Of Sunshine.
Damn right she was. The whole damn place lit up when she walked in the door. Her skin had a peachy glow like it did after a good surfing session. She looked downright edible.
Baby sister was all grown up. Small and ripe, curvy in all the right places, with pillow-soft lips so fuckable it should be illegal. She looked like the love child of Deborah Harry and Mick Jagger.

I can’t begin to review this book with the level of skill that Emery put into writing Sweet Chaos. This is an author that will not only have you reading her books once, but repeatedly. If you’re anything like me you’ll be binge reading everything she offers as quickly as you can get your hands on the books. I can’t stress this enough—Emery Rose is exceptionally talented. Her storytelling was truly captivating—I’ve literally never highlighted as many quotes or passages in any book I’ve read. Also, something that I’ve rarely experienced is the level of skill she’s shown in developing the characters in Sweet Chaos. Particularly Dylan’s character. Sweet Chaos had some of the best character progression I’ve read in years. In my experience, the growth her characters showed is something you’d (often) need two books minimum to deliver. Yet, Emery does so brilliantly in one book. I can not tell you how much I loved reading Sweet Chaos. Five-stars does not do this book justice and I can not recommend it enough. Dylan and Scarlett will live on after you’ve turned the last page and you’ll undoubtedly have discovered a new favorite author, much like I have!

Quotes:
I’d seen his smile. It was rare. Fleeting. But it was glorious. Back when I was just a stupid kid, I used to try to coax it out of him, like it was a prize to be won.

He’d gotten into a fight over me, after beating his opponent in the underground fight. I remembered thinking that nobody had ever fought for me before. That was the night I’d fallen in love with Dylan... It was also the night I realized that he would never be mine and I needed to forget him.

Scarlett Woods… she was the sweetest temptation. I slowly dragged my thumb across her plump bottom lip and wiped off the chocolate. Her breath hitched, and her eyes followed my thumb to my mouth. Eyes locked on hers, I wrapped my lips around my thumb and sucked the chocolate off it. “So fucking sweet.”
Her eyes flared. “What are you doing?” she hissed.
Moving my mouth close to the shell of her ear, I whispered, “You deserve better.”
Without waiting for a response, I strode away. Even by my low standards, it was wrong to mess with my ex-girlfriend’s little sister.
But when had I ever done the right thing?

I wasn’t sure when it had happened, but baby sister had become the stuff of my wet dreams.

Dylan St. Clair was about as emotionally available as a rock cliff.

Kissing Scarlett didn’t feel like the prelude to sex, it felt like the main event. I wanted to kiss her until her lips were raw and swollen, and the only word on the tip of her tongue was my name.

I wanted to build a shrine to her pussy. Worship at the altar of Scarlett Woods.

Scarlett brought out all my protective instincts, always had.

She made me wish for something I’d never wanted before. To be the hero in someone’s fairy tale instead of the villain.

He was the perfect storm. Wild. Unpredictable. Impossible to tame or control. A thing of beauty that could wreak havoc. Destroy you if you got too close.

3.5 STARS After meeting Dylan in the first book, I was definitely eager to read his book, especially when I found out it would be with him and Sienna's little sister. Total shocker there since I thought we would get his toxic relationship with Sienna. And don't get me wrong I liked the story, I just wish it would've been on a deeper level. I didn't always get the forever kind of love vibes. I would've liked flashbacks to when Scarlet was younger and her interactions with Dylan. Maybe that would've stirred up more emotions that showed why Scarlett had been in love with him all this time. I also really wanted Dylan's story to show someone fighting for him and showing him that he was worthy of love since that was the issue he had with Sienna. I kept waiting for Scarlet to march through the door for family dinner and claim him as her boyfriend while telling her dad to fuck off if he didn't like it, but that never really happened. The dad was never really was an issue in their relationship for some reason.

The separation was pointless since nothing changed during their time apart, but overall still enjoyed the story and the characters.

I adore forbidden romance. It is one of my favorite tropes in romance. I expected to be torn apart with this book and it delivered.
Emery Rose is a new author to me but she now has a dedicated new fan!
I will be honest and say that I wasn't expecting this book to go the way it did. Especially not by the opening chapter. I was surprised but not unpleasantly so. Scarlett has been in love with her sister's boyfriend, Dylan, since she was a teenager. She has also been the family's black sheep. She is a young woman who doesn't want to be rich and she defies her overbearing father and careless mother. She has no support from her family, so when she meets with Dylan years later, she is for a big surprise.
Dylan is a selfmade man. He grew up poor but managed to make a life for himself. He is now rich and powerful and very much aware of his ex-girlfriend's little sister.
I adored the writing, the characters and plot. What I did miss, however, were the flashbacks. I wanted more scenes with Dylan and Scarlett as a teen. I wanted to see how she fell for him and not have it simply described briefly. That is why I didn't give the book 5 Stars. I wanted some more background.
All in all, this was amazingly done. Scorching and emotional. I recommend it.
4 Stars!!!

4.5 stars!

An angsty and dramatic forbidden-ish romance with all the feels, this book took me on a rollercoaster of emotion, and wow, I loved it!

This book is a follow on from one of my fave reads of 2019, Wilder Love. Dylan St Clair is the twin brother of Remy (heroine of Wilder Love), brave, bold and protective of his sister, with a wild streak a mile wide, he is the quintessential bad boy, and he will absolutely own your heart! While you could read this book as a standalone, the characters from the previous book both appear in this one, and beware that this book does contain spoilers for the first.

Dylan’s toxic relationship with his high school girlfriend, Sienna, played out in the background of Wilder Love. I kept wondering if we would get his story, and I was both thrilled and terrified by the prospect. Thrilled because I freaking love Dylan, terrified because Sienna seemed like a nightmare and I really wasn’t that interested in reading about her. Well, this book solved all my problems and I was absolutely ecstatic when I learned that Dylan’s love story would actually be with Sienna’s younger sister, Scarlett. Angst alert!!! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this story, and it totally delivered.

“I picked the wrong sister.”

Scarlett grew up in her older sister’s shadow. The youngest daughter of a ridiculously wealthy family, she has always been the black sheep, not wanting a life controlled by her father or dictated by their social status. She is a free spirit with an artistic soul and a strong independent streak, and I absolutely loved her!

She and Dylan had their first real encounter when she was only 11 years old and he snuck into her room by mistake, thinking he was visiting her sister. It was a short visit, but it left its mark on both of them, and it marked the moment that Scarlett completely fell for her sister’s boyfriend. She’s tried to move on, but he’s always been the guy that all others measure up to. Now she’s 21 years old and making her own way in the world, and she and Dylan are suddenly running into each other everywhere. And that spark has turned into full-blown lust.

It’s an attraction that goes both ways as Dylan finally notices that Scarlett is all grown up, and the kid that he used to admire so much is somebody that he can really see himself with. And for a guy that usually doesn’t get emotionally involved, that is a huge thing. But their past, and Scarlett’s sister, are a huge roadblock for them and their relationship has its challenges before it even begins, and I loved watching them navigate it all.

“What about Sienna?”
He lifted one shoulder in a shrug. “What about her? We’ve been over for a long time.”
“It’s still wrong.”
“Then why does it feel so fucking right?”

“You belonged to her first.”
“I’ve never belonged to anyone.”

It’s a fantastic set-up and the chemistry is there right from the very beginning. You can feel the bond between these two, which is so much more than just physical attraction. They connect on a deeper level, which came across in each and every encounter.

“Everyone needs someone who believes in them. I believe in you … Just like you always did for me, even when I didn’t deserve it. Even when I didn’t acknowledge it, I saw you, Scarlett. I always saw you.

It’s a beautiful relationship, full of laughs and teasing, flirting and dirty talk, and a whole lot of steam. They don’t jump right into it, which means the sexual tension builds beautifully and meaningfully, but that doesn’t mean it’s not hot, and OMG, it’s hot!

“You’re not my second choice. You’re not a consolation prize. You’re everything I never knew I needed. You’re my number fucking one. You own me.”

But it’s an angsty ride, and Scarlett’s sister is only the tip of the iceberg. Dylan has done well for himself, he owns his own business and has made his fortune, but he still bears the emotional scars from his childhood. For so long his life has been about dealing with shit to protect his beloved sister, and it’s a role that he struggles to let go. Add to that his need to prove himself to the people that used to look down at him, including his issues with Sienna’s family, and the fact that he’s in his first real relationship, and he’s dealing with a lot. He knows he is messed up and that he has issues to deal with, and my heart ached for him and all that he goes through in this book.

“Nobody has ever loved me the way you do. Don’t let me ruin this. Don’t let me ruin us.”

And this is where Sienna shines! She is there for Dylan in a way that nobody has been before. Open and honest, she doesn’t hold back from him, and I love the way she throws herself out there, revelling in everything that is developing between them. But she’s also not a doormat, she stands up to him and she takes care of herself, while taking care of him, and she strikes a really great balance between the two.

So it’s not an easy ride and there are mistakes made along the way. It’s dramatic and it’s angsty, but at the heart of all of the drama is an amazing love story that feels so right. Dylan and Scarlett are made for each other, and it’s just a matter of holding on through the heartache, knowing that it will all be worth it in the end.

“What are we, Dylan?” …
“We’re everything, Starlet. Every-fucking-thing.”

*dreamy sigh*

And what an ending! Not one, but two epilogues which give us glimpses into the future, and finish off the story beautifully.

Shane and Remy from Wilder Love both feature throughout the story, and not only did I love seeing more of them living their happy ending, but I also loved seeing Dylan relationship with them both. It absolutely melted my heart!

I loved this book. Emery Rose has delivered another fun, sweet, yet heartwrenching read that kept me absolutely glued to my kindle. I adored these characters so much, and I loved their story.

4.5 stars

Poor broken Dylan... a man who has so much to carry on his shoulders and his feeling of self-worth and being worthy of a woman as good and kind as Scarlett so small... my heart absolutely broke for him. Dylan has turned his life around and has made a name for himself, has all the money in the world but still believes he is undeserving.
Scarlett has always loved him... since she was a teenager and he was her sister's boyfriend. But Scarlett is everything that Sienna is not... a woman who believes in him, has always believed in him and who he could be... if he could only see those things for himself.
This book is appropriately named—Sweet Chaos—because it is just that. Watching Dylan come to terms with finding real love and fighting for the woman who has his heart was beautiful to watch... their chemistry undeniable and HOT... let's not even talk about the perfect happily ever after. I sighed with relief and happiness because it was just complete perfection.
Emery Rose is on my list of must-read authors. I love her words and I can't wait for more!

You meet Dylan in Wilder Love. As Remy’s enigma of a twin. He’s such a mystery, that alone urged me to read his book. Mostly though, it was wanting to see him happy after everything he endured with both their mother and Sienna.

Then when I discovered the FMC is Sienna’s sister?! Well there was no going back after that.

And this story did not disappoint!

I freaking adored Scarlet! She couldn’t have been more of her sister’s opposite. The unequivocal black sheep of her family, following her own path even if that meant being cut off and doing it all on her own.

It’s a breath of fresh air to have a female character this young (21) who knows exactly what she wants and isn’t afraid to go get it.

And while she may have wanted Dylan when she was 11, she had a smart enough head on her shoulders not to pine or go after something she shouldn’t want. But then he decides that he wants her. It begins as nothing more than lust but quickly grows.

Of course this isn’t a straight shot, there’s plenty of twists and turns for all my angst lovers. There’s also plenty of spicy goodness for my smut lovers.

Trust me, this story is as good as its stunning cover. I guarantee you’re gonna love these characters.

The characters were amazing and have me ALL THE FEELS. Their emotions, their thoughts, and their pain were so vivid that you could almost feel them as yours.

I’ve been obsessed with Dylan since book one, and the brooding, tattooed hottie did not disappoint me. He was everything I thought he would be and so much more.

Seriously, 1-click this bad boy!! I can’t imagine anyone not falling in love with him.

This was an awesome read for us and we loved it from beginning to end and everything in between.

This story was heart felt and emotional and one of those slow burn romance reads with and older guy in love\lust with a younger women but, with one major complication he used to be in love with his sister or thought he was .

We loved Dylan already from Wilder Love with his sister Remy the man was just a boy and one that was so strong and determined and so broken but, no matter what age he was and no matter what he had to do he would do anything to see what he considered his was provided for and taken care of.I loved the growth we saw from Dylan this time around although still broken in a lot of ways he made some of his dreams come true and was becoming a little less broken every time he spent with Scarlett.

Scarlett was the rebel of her family and planned to live her life on her own terms. We found Scarlett to be strong ,independent, beautiful on the inside as well as out but, her one weakness was never putting herself first. We loved how she always believed in Dylan when others never did all they saw was a punk from the wrong side of the tracks what Scarlett saw was what was below the surface the good along with the bad.

The chemistry between Dylan and Scarlett was scorching. These two who came from totally different backgrounds fit perfectly together. I loved the story and how this couples journey was wrought with tons of things stacked against them but, Dylan was determined to beat the odds and claim the one thing that would complete his own happiness. I loved the broken bad boy he made my heart just melt when it came to loving and taking care of the people he loved most in this world. Dylan with little Kai melted my heart each and every time and had me wishing that Dylan would someday have everything that his twin sister had because he deserved it for all the sacrifices he made in life in the sake of family.

This was one heart felt tale that tugged at ones heart strings but, also was one of hope ,healing, forgiveness and family.

"we absolutely loved it"

This is a fairly new author too us but, the books that we have ready by her have been both amazing and we are looking forward to seeing what this author creates for us.

3.5/5

Suuuupppper cliche. Everything you would expect happened, but you know what? I like cliche, so lucky you, Emery Rose.
It was a quick read. Completed it in a day. It was to the point. Fun. And fluffy.
The plot was there, Sienna was a bitch, but meh. When do stories not have one?
The book got a lil dark over the scene of Dylan's mom, I liked that little contrast.
Over all:

Plot - ★★★
Characters - ★★★
Romance - ★★★★

I LOVED THISSSSSS. This was SO MUCH better than the first one. Dyl and Starlet’s relationship advanced so fluidly and natural. The little mentions from the past and their history made everything SO SO SOOOOO much better.

Dylan
Since the first book I already knew he was gonna be my fave. He had the bad boy thing going and i just... YES. Here we see his grown up side and jesus christ he is fcking HOT. AND SO SWEET. He was my favorite because we saw his upbringing and his growth. We got to see his character development since the last book and I just fcking love him.

Scarlett
Loved her. She wasn’t dramatic like her sister (fck her) and she just said what needed to be said. She was perfect for Dyl. Loved the fact that, even though she had a crush for him for decade, once they start hanging out she realizes it was a crush and just acts like a NORMAL PERSON. Loved that she set boundaries and wasn’t willing to give anything until she was ready. UGH. LOVED HER.

Conflict
This is where I got a little bit disappointed. I wished it wasn’t only about Sienna. I thought it was going to be a combination of Simon and Sienna. I was waiting for that moment where Scarlett chose Dylan and said to her parents “I love him, fuckers”. I CRAVED that. I needed that fulfilling moment. My boy Dyl deserved everything Sienna denied him. The real conflict was pretty meh honestly, not my favorite part of the book. But LOVED that dyl waited for Starlet to finish her stuff. He knew it was important to her, ughhh we love a thoughtful king.

Why not 5 stars?
- The conflict! Needed that moment!!!!
- The sexy scenes at the beginning weren’t suuuuper steamy. They got better, but I didn’t like them at first. They were weirdly described and too short heh.
- A bit between the 30-50% of the book felt dragged. Kinda boring, but I think that was just me. It wasn’t boring, per se, just slow.

Honestly, this was great. It had a great balance of everything. Loved it loved it loved it. Not like, the best thing I’ve read in my life, but an upgrade from the first. I’m so happy I stuck around.

Nothing about this book was sweet but it sure was chaotic. A chaos of emotions that will have you burning along with the pages on how intoxicating the love story of Scarlett Wood and Dylan St. Clair was, even tough it was very much forbidden.

Scarlett was the youngest of the Wood sisters who had fallen for this beautiful broken boy even though he was very much taken. She could only love him from a distance knowing it was wrong to want the man her older sister loved. He was everything the Wood sisters shouldn’t want according to their overbearing wealthy father. Unfortunately, for daddy dearest he was to busy winning the battle to keep Dylan from his price possession, his eldest daughter Sienna. He didn’t realize he had lost the war when his youngest daughter Scarlett had fallen deeply in love with the boy who had proven to be very much now a man. Before he could claim victor of Scarlett, he needed to prove to Scarlett that even though what they had was wrong, it felt completely right.

‘Sweet Chaos’ was nothing short from amazing. I’m still trying to put myself back together after experiencing this angst filled love story. I was trying to fill a void from my last reads to pass the time and instead I was left fulfilled and speechless on how well and beautifully ‘Sweet Chaos’ was. If you love to experience a taste of forbidden that doesn’t leave a bad taste in your mouth then this is definitely one book to read. Believe me when I say you will walk away wondering how a person who could write this tragic can leave you walking on air on how high my heart is soaring.

⚠️ A secondary character takes her life and the author goes into great detail of the horrifying and emotional scene.

🚨 *incoherent thoughts incoming bear with me* 🚨

I went into this story having great expectations because in Remy’s book the author had already shaped Dylan out to be such an interesting and complex character i instantly fell in love with him. Well those expectations were not only exceeded but doubled 😭

DYLAN AND SCARLETT ARE JUST SO PERFECT I COULDN’T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN NOT EVEN WHEN I TRIED **HARD**

All the delicious angst, the banter, the A+ chemistry and sexual tension i just can’t put into words how much and how well this has fed me.
Dylan goes straight on my top list of favorite as*holes...i just know he will live in my head rent free for a long time now. What a serve this man is 🥺

Wish i could already delete it from memory only to experience it all over again, that’s how obsessed I am atm sigh.

Emery Rose where have you been all this time??

2.5 stars ⭐️⭐️

This was a first time author for me and I wasn’t to impressed. Sweet Chaos was extremely boring to me and I really struggled getting through this book. And before you ask…Why didn’t I just stop? Well....it was because my last 2 books beforehand I threw in the towel and I refused to do it again, so I sucked it up and continued.
However it took me 3 long days to finish. It just went on and on and on that I finally started to skim through some of the pages. There were so many parts throughout the book where the author repeated herself. She seriously had diarrhea mouth when it came to the dialogue.

I never really connected with the characters. That to me is huge and what makes a book awesome, but Emery Rose writing style wasn’t for me. Most of the dialogue was over kill to the point it was way to much and the parts where you wanted answer was to quick.

The epilogues were very disappointing too, especially the 5 years later one. No recap about her mom or sister. Which her sister actually irritated me. I get what Scarlett did was wrong, and her sister had every right to be upset, but to never talk to her again, well come on….Sienna and Dylan were only 17 when they dated. Get over it! 🙄 Not only did I think it was ridiculous on how Scarlett sister behaved, but I was disappointed on not getting more details regarding that situation. And to make the story even less appealing was the fact I wasn’t a big fan of Dylan either. He was not really like able. Maybe it had to do with me just finding the how story blah...🤷🏻‍♀️

Overall the plot was missing major things for me that I couldn’t give it a higher rating. I thought it was just meh..nothing to write home about.

I LOVED THIS BOOK SO HARD!!! <3 <3 <3

I first met Dylan in Wilder Love and the minute I met him I knew that I wanted to read his story!

He was everything and much more. He is broody, moody and not much of a talker, but more than that he is very special; he is such a flawed and tortured soul. Always taking care of the ones he loves and not having anyone believe in him or fight for him until Starlet <3

Dylan came from nothing and worked his way up, Scarlett came from wealth and had nothing, nothing that really matter.

"Wrong window, Romeo"

"I'd picked the wrong sister"

My first read from Emery Rose was Wilder Love and I knew I had found my one click author. I love her writing style, and she deserves to be read more, to be USA number 1, because she is that that good and most deserving of her craft.

If you have not read Wilder Love you should even though Sweet Chaos can be read alone, you will miss a lot of their back story.

I highly recommend this book, its got all the feels <3

This was too much drama of the kind that I don't enjoy. It started off really well, and I thought I would love it, but I didn't enjoy Scarlett and Dylan's relationship for the majority of this story. I don't think they were bad as far as characters, but it was so fucking dysfunctional it was tiring. I didn't get Dylan's interest aside from lust for the most part and I was annoyed with the unnecessary guilt (imo) and wishy-washiness Scarlett had with regards to Ollie.

Certain moments that I thought were significant, were just told to us that it occurred. I really wished we experienced the actual words stated. We don't get that, but all these details of food they ate during dinners. I think that's my major criticism of this story. Why spend time on irrelevant details but rush moments that are vital to giving insight to your partner's feelings for you? I don't get it.

I was thinking this would be a two, but the final 5% and epilogue earned a ⭐ alone. Some redemption, I guess. I am glad that I didn't make this a DNF, as I'm a sucker for such endings, but boy was it a struggle to get there.

HOLY HOT DAMN!!! This book is fire!!! This book is one of my top reads for 2020, no doubt about it. It was perfect in every single way. This is the second book I have read from this author and I am seriously hooked. Dylan is life. Dylan and Starlet are everything. I love both of these characters so much and I didn't want this book to end at all.

Dylan is so beautifully broken. I loved watching him grow through this book. He blossomed and found where he is meant to be, where he belongs and it was seriously such a beautiful sight to see. Scarlett is perfect for Dylan. They are true soul mates. I could feel their connection throughout the book, even if it was never love in the beginning. The steamy from this book.... *fans myself* My goodness. Dylan and his dirty talking was HOT. Seriously hot.

This book was just amazingly written, it flowed beautifully from page to page and had me hooked from the very first word. I literally didn't put it down, I couldn't! I am addicted to Dylan. I want more!! This is definitely a book I would love to read again and again. Ok... I have to stop gushing now before I give anything away... Just know that this book is a MUST read!!

This is my voluntary arc review

I have so much love for this book. It is full of so much heartache but is so beautiful and sweet at the same time.

I fell in love with Dylan in Wilder Love and was so excited to read his story. Sweet Chaos definitely did not disappoint and had me swooning hard for the dirty talking bad boy in combat boots. Yes he is an asshole, but he is a completely lovable asshole that just doesn't know how to open up and communicate what is going on in that head of his.

Scarlet is his perfect opposite, even if theirs is a story of forbidden romance. She is beautiful, strong, feisty and calls Dylan out on his shit. I loved both of these characters so much and their chemistry was 🔥🔥.

Sweet Chaos is so beautifully written and had me feeling all the feels. It is definitely one of my favourite books of 2020 and one I will be reading again.

Whew. Is it hot in here?

Welcome back to Costa del Rey, and it’s tight knit surf community.
Dylan is the brother of Remy, and he intrigued me from the minute we met him in Wilder Love. Watching him do his best and power through his struggles to take care of himself and Remy endeared him to me.
In Sweet Chaos, we’ve got all grown up Dylan, and man did he grow up into something fierce. His walls are up, his guard is set and no one is getting in......
until Scarlett.

The dynamic between Scarlett & Dylan was almost instant, although it’s something that was already building many years ago. I loved them together, when they managed to get it together. There was so much history for them to muddle through, but when they finally got it, I was so content.

Things I didn’t like: Sienna, Ollie, & Simon. That’s it.

This series was something I don’t usually read, but I’m glad I took the chance.

This book really hits you in the feels and it won't apologize. All of those feels had my heart beating just a little bit faster and it was so worth it! This story is something special.

I fell so in love with the author's writing style. It was so natural, smooth, and inviting. The narration was beautiful and the flow was perfect. I've never felt more at home than reading through the pages of this book. The plot of this story was so well crafted. It took my breath away. It was ingenious, really. It was riveting and so addicting.

These characters are ones that you can feel through your every fiber. The author writes them in such a way that you feel everything. These characters felt like more than just characters in a book. The author makes them come alive in the story. Both Dylan and Scarlett were exceptional characters. They both had so many layers and were so full of depth and personality. Their character growth through the story was really amazing. The secondary characters are so vibrant. I loved seeing Remy and Shane again and I liked the newer secondary characters that were introduced. I hope that we are able to see more of them in other books.

The romance in this book was explosive. The idea of soulmates and kindred spirits really rings true for Dylan and Scarlett. There was so much messed up stuff in their lives but they were so unapologetically perfect for each other despite all of it. What I loved most about their romance was how they fought for one another and believed in one another no matter what. They had such swoon-worthy chemistry to top it all off.

Overall, this is a story that I felt deep in my bones. This is a story that will pull you in and capture your heart. This is a story that is full of heartache and just a gamut of emotions. But there is also love and acceptance. Finding the one person in the world that truly sees you. This series has been incredible and I just want to scream from the rooftops how much I love it!
