My latest in PJ Media:
Iraqi researcher Jomaa Al-Atwani has it all figured out. He said recently on Iraq’s Al-Nujaba (that’s Nujaba, not Notjobba) TV that “Trump and other American officials ridicule anyone who says that this virus was produced in the American biological labs, as part of a biological war,” but that’s exactly what it is, “a biological war against the peoples of the region.” Al-Atwani is not alone: the world, particularly the Islamic world, is rife with conspiracy theories about where the coronavirus comes from and what it was designed to do – and yes, the Great Satan and the Little Satan, that is, the United States and Israel, are usually the culprits.
Al-Atwani explained: “The problem is that everyone believes in germ warfare, including America, which talks about this kind of war being the next war, but, at the same time, are not ready to accept [that this is] such a war. You are now waging a war against the whole world. You are waging a war against all the Islamic nations….How is this any different from a biological war? Ultimately, it should not come as a surprise that we claim America is waging a biological war against the peoples of the region.”
Of course! How could we have missed this? “Ultimately,” Al-Atwani continued, “the means are many but the goal is one: Killing the people, keeping them in a state of extreme poverty, and instigating war among the countries of the region on a sectarian, racial, and ethnic basis. If America fails to do so with this war, it will surely find other ways to kill and massacre the Arab and Islamic peoples. For us, there is no difference between a direct or proxy military war by America, and the biological war that the people of the region are now suffering.”
Iran’s Supreme Leader, the Ayatollah Khamenei, meanwhile, explained Iran’s rejection of an American offer of help with the coronavirus pandemic on the basis of his own conspiracy theory. “I do not know how real this accusation is but when it exists, who in their right mind would trust you to bring them medication?” said Khamenei. “Possibly your medicine is a way to spread the virus more.” The coronavirus, he added, “is specifically built for Iran using the genetic data of Iranians which they have obtained through different means.”
There is much more. Read the rest here.

Conspiracy theories and Islam—perfect together.

Smart Iranians won’t believe this stuff. They have enough access to outside information to know they are being manipulated. The regime must be genuinely frightened of a revolution to stoop to such absurdity. Only dummies and power suck-ups will go along with this nonsense.
When a group of people, united under some banner, believe they are the “best of peoples”, their arrogance and inability to receive counsel becomes the beginning of their demise. History is littered with them.
Khamenei is the ultimate, “Ugly Iranian”; his regime’s boasts, propagandist lies, and sponsored violence are destroying ME lives and the citizens of Iran. These guys make the Priests of the ancient Aztecs seem like humanitarians. They continue to “make mischief in the land”. Q 5:33 has a remedy for that.
Wellington says
I agree, Westman, but, of course, “smart Iranians” can’t possibly also be devout Muslims. It’s an “either/or.”
Westman says
True, Wellington, and many smart Iranians have left Iran.

CHINESE SCIENTISTS SAY: Bats with Coronovirus are linked to 2 Chinese Govt. Laboratories … NOT to local seafood market

I think that is this story, Mortimer:
“Chinese researchers isolated deadly bat coronaviruses near Wuhan animal market”
https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/mar/30/china-researchers-isolated-bat-coronaviruses-near-/
I am *no* fan of the Communist Chinese–but there is no reason to join the conspiracy theorists here.
Wellington says
One does not need to be a conspiracy theorist, gravenimage, to (possibly) reject the “Wuhan animal market” cause of the coronavirus. It is possible that one or another biology labs in the Wuhan area stupidly and sloppily experimented with a virus that “got out of hand.”
This much I am certain of: I will trust no article, including in the ordinarily reliable Washington Times, that relies in any way upon what ANY Chinese authority asserts.
No Chinese “authority” should ever be trusted. Independent verification is essential.
Aussie Infidel says
Wellington, What worries me is the collaboration which occurred between research scientists (Chinese nationals) at the CSIRO’s Australian Animal Health Laboratory, a doctor (also Chinese) from the Minnesota Medical School, and Chinese scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. These scientists were researching ‘Hendra virus’ which has occurred here locally a number of times in the past in horses. The virus which is carried by fruit bats (flying foxes), can also be transmitted to humans, a number of whom have died from it.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henipavirus
This collaboration has been outlined in an article, ‘Globalisation in the time of Corona’ (Part 3, section 5:1), published by our local conservative petition group, Rite-On! – of which I am a member. The article includes a video by Professor Francis Boyle, an American human rights lawyer, who claims that the COVID – 19 virus leaked from the Bio Safety Level 4 (BSL4) laboratory in Wuhan. And the question is asked, “Could Australia have unknowingly participated in biological anti-viral research without fully understanding China’s intentions and the veracity of their bio safety level precautions at their BSL4 laboratory”?
Globalisation in the time of Corona, Parts 1, 2 & 3 – https://www.riteon.org.au/campaigns/
There will be more on this issue in Part 4.
My immediate question is “Who allowed Chinese researchers to work on this material in Australia in one of our top bio-security facilities? Were they so naive that they thought the Chinese intentions were benign? I sometimes shake my head at the stupidity of such otherwise intelligent people – which is why, “experts should be on tap, not on top!”
Iraqi researcher Jomaa Al-Atwani, might have stumbled across some of this information, but in his haste to blame the Great Satan and his Little Brother for the virus, he has just generated another conspiracy theory.
But eventually, the truth will come out.
Wellington says
Thank you, Aussie Infidel, for your informative, detailed and certainly disturbing comment.
Seems in our age the West in general functions in a kind of naïve mode about others, such “others” including China and the Islamic world, which the West should not be naïve about, be it America, Australia, the UK, Canada, France, etc. Certainly not wise, arguably pretty dumb.
Thanks again for the information you provided. Much appreciated.

Mortimer, Wellington, and Aussie Infidel, I suppose this is possible.

Let’s see if the Muslims can come up with a vaccine for this. They had better hope we share our knowledge with them or else, yes, this is going to have the greatest impact on those countries at the lower end of the IQ spectrum. Even if the virus does not kill them, famine and war will when we are no longer able to export food to them.
Better get to work you Muslim scientists. Oh but wait, I keep forgetting. You love death more than we love life. Good luck with that.
gravenimage says
Yep.

This article by Jomaa Al-Atwani is as ‘scientific’ as those articles about Elvis in Greenland or Bigfoot sightings found in tabloids.
The trouble with pseudo-science is that many uninformed, semi-literate people haven’t the academic grounding to discern pseudo-science from real.
That’s why the Iranian government feels certain it can trick people. Iranians are generally well-educated and most won’t buy this propaganda.

Paranoia is considered to be a type of mental illness in our non-Muslim societies. I think, in Muslim societies, everyone is paranoid (you know, it’s always the Jews did it or the Great Satan, the USA, bah, blah) so I guess it is considered to be a perfectly normal mental state. Most of Islam’s ideas about life seem insane to me, certainly they are barbaric and very backward (stuck in the 7th century), so I suppose intense paranoia is only what you’d expect from these freaking, extremely diseased, nut cases.
James Lincoln says
tim gallagher says,
“I think, in Muslim societies, everyone is paranoid (you know, it’s always the Jews did it or the Great Satan, the USA, bah, blah)…”
Excellent observation, tim.
The definition of paranoia from Merriam-Webster:
1: mental illness characterized by systematized delusions of persecution or grandeur usually without hallucinations
2: a tendency on the part of an individual or group toward excessive or irrational suspiciousness and distrustfulness of others
Paranoia is normative behavior in muslim majority countries….
Wellington says
“Paranoia is normative behavior in muslim majority countries.”
Agreed, James (and in agreement too with tim gallagher).
I would like to add that paranoia is a characteristic of all totalitarian systems, just as being hostile to liberty is. It’s wrapped up with the totalitarian paradigm (necessary for any totalitarianism to prosper) of “us v. them.”
Every totalitarian system needs a “them” to denigrate, subdue, belittle, humiliate, dominate or even exterminate, whether socio-economic classes, Jews, non-Muslims, or, the latest addition, “thanks” to modern Western Leftism, the white privilege folks.
Even non-totalitarian societies (e.g., the ante-bellum South in America) often establish a “them” to despise and metaphorically or literally enslave or subdue, but non-totalitarian societies have the capacity to be shamed and thereafter to admit wrongdoing and improve. No totalitarian society as long as it remains a totalitarian society has this capacity whatsoever, and this is one of several reasons why Islam, unlike other major religions which did wrong, can never reform because Islam alone among the major faiths of the world is, as Bertrand Russell noted exactly a hundred years ago in his The Practice and Theory of Bolshevism, the one major religious creed which is totalitarian in both structure and ideology.
No totalitarian system or even semi-totalitarian system can possibly continue to function without the hated, despicable “them.” This is a major reason why Islam is hopeless, though other reasons exist as well.
James Lincoln says
Much thanks, Wellington, for the very informative reply…
tim gallagher says
Thanks for the comments, James and Wellington. Intense paranoia does seem to permeate Muslim societies, James, that’s for sure. I agree with what you both say. Islam certainly is a totalitarian, oppressive and bullying ideology, Wellington. I was going to say that Muslims think that Islam is the perfect, last word, the last revelation from god (well that sick maggot Muhammad’s revolting version of what god might be), so everything that happens is never the fault of the Muslims (nope, it’s always the Jews or others in the non-Muslim world), but I guess Muslims do, in fact, get into attacking other Muslims as well, those that they don’t consider pure enough types of Muslims (Sunnis versus Shiites, etc). I just think that, if you took away the hatred of non-Muslims from Islam, there’d be nothing there at all. It is all about hating. I agree that Islam is hopeless. As I recall you saying, Wellington, Islam is, amongst the still existing religious ideologies, the turd in the punchbowl. I wish we could fence islam off in its own barbaric, totally backward area of the world and not have to put up with any of its rubbish. Islam brings nothing but misery to any area of the world foolish enough to let it in. I can’t find anything positive that it has to contribute. I have no idea why it gets so much respect from so many people.
Michael Copeland says

their suppression of inquiry and creativity; and
their unending intertribal fights –
are the reason their people have remained in the seventh century.”

tim gallagher says
Good quote, Michael, which sums up the situation with Islam very well. I was thinking about how Islam is stuck back in the far distant past in its attitudes to so many aspects of human life, but that it is the violence that islam espouses that is the issue. Otherwise, who cares if people live in the past? I’m not particularly into being up to date and all that sort of thing. I thought of the Amish people who live their very much out of date lifestyle (OK, not back in the 7th century) but are peaceful. They don’t bother anyone. I don’t think that anyone has a problem with them. But Islam and all its barbarity is violent and always seeks to impose its backward, totally disgusting view of the way life should be lived on everyone. Muslims should be forced to live their crappy, primitive lifestyle in their own areas and not be allowed to bother any other people.

Have they come up with a theory yet why so many Americans have become ill and around 10 thousand have now died from the virus? Or a theory why, if it was meant to target the DNA of iranians, do so many Americans have it…and of various ethnic backgrounds…that most of the businesses in America are closed or closing, tanking the economy and putting so many in serious financial trouble?
If America made it to destroy Iran, why is America suffering so much? Psychopaths and islam go together like rats in sewers. They must blame someone.
The Scripture written by wise King Solomon says, “Time and unforeseen occurrence befall us all.” And Jesus said that “pestilence” would be a large part of the “last days.”
But these moslims know none of this as they are focused only on islam and making it supreme.

This is especially stupid. Iran is one of the great crossroads of Asia, and has had people of a wide range of ethnicities crossing the region for millenia. It shares borders (or near borders) with Turkey, Russia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. There is no specific Iranian DNA.

Just because a theory qualifies as conspiratorial does not nean thst it is false.
That the USofA developed Covid-19 is very likely. The empire of satan has been known to do this before.
Thst it has been developed specifically against islamic countries alone is not very likely. The USofA has made itself so many enemies since 1917 and wishes to suppress and stamp out all. It beeds weapons of mass destabilisation and destruction.
That their biological weapon has gone completely out of cotrol – for whichever readon – is again quite likely and typical.
Arrogance, Power and Stupidity make a very dangerous mixture.
Power – The US Armed Forces
Arrogance – the US Deep State
Stupidity – The US People
By the way, does the USofA have medical aid to spare? As far as I know, it RECEIVING medical aid – from Russia!

Uh…right. We always start epidemics in the middle of Communist China, using Chinese bats. We must be really, really sneaky! 🙂
But then, we are so inept that the disease got way from us, and started a worldwide epidemic. 🙁

Oh…wait… we *were* totally responsible for that last one…
