Jihad Watch reported at the beginning of this month that Saylani Welfare International Trust in Karachi was denying food aid to poor Hindus and Christians amid the coronavirus pandemic. “The reason for this is that Zakat, Islamic alms giving (one of Islam’s five pillars), is reserved for Muslims.” Then came the report that Christians and Hindus were only allowed food rations if they converted to Islam. And now, this report indicates that Christians and Hindus are facing starvation because they refuse to convert to Islam.
Saylani Welfare International Trust continues to refuse to “distribute food among Christians and Hindus.” The reason: “religious minorities were excluded from aid under Sharia law, the strict interpretation of Islam.”
Such is the bigotry and cruelty of Sharia, about which the mainstream media refuses to report. If Muslims were being denied rations because they were Muslim by a Christian organization in any Western country, which never would or should happen, that organization would be shut down and made an international example of in the news.
“Pakistan Christians Starving for Not Embracing Islam,” by Stefan J. Bos, Bos News Life, April 20, 2020:
ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN (BosNewsLife)– Christians and other minorities in Pakistan face starvation as they are denied food aid for refusing to convert to Islam, aid workers say. The Emergency Committee to Save the Persecuted and Enslaved (ECSPE) confirmed that authorities and government-backed groups refuse to provide relief to non-Muslims despite a nationwide lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Islamic foundations that are well-funded by Pakistan’s government force them to embrace Islam. Otherwise, they cannot receive aid during this coronavirus pandemic,” said ECSPE’s co-founder Farrukh Saif. Islam is the dominant religion in Pakistan. “Especially Christians and Hindus face extreme discrimination in Pakistan,” Saif told BosNewsLife.
Teams of ECSPE, a US-based aid group working in Pakistan, reported incidents in Karachi and other parts of the country, Saif added. In one of the latest known episodes, more than 100 Christian families from Sandha Kalan village in Kasur district of Pakistan’s Punjab province did not receive food aid, according to Christian aid workers, familiar with the situation. A cleric at the local mosque decided on April 5 that the food aid would be only for Muslim families, Christians said.
Separately, video footage posted on social media purportedly showed how Christians were denied food aid on April 2 in a Raiwind Road village, near Lahore. Christians were reportedly forced to leave the mosque compound as the food aid was for Muslims.
Saif confirmed to BosNewsLife that ECSPE learned that one of the Islamic groups involved in aid distribution, Saylani Welfare International Trust, refused to distribute food among Christians and Hindus. The Trust reportedly claimed that religious minorities were excluded from aid under Sharia law, the strict interpretation of Islam.
MINORITIES MISERY
The tensions come while most of Pakistan has been placed on lockdown since March 21 as authorities seek to slow the spread of the new coronavirus disease COVID-19.
Saif stressed that the national lockdown and food denials added to the suffering of the mainly impoverished Christians and other minorities.“Some 70 percent of the Christians scrape by with hard labor on their daily wages,” he explained. “They now face a dire situation where they cannot even afford to fulfill the basic needs of their families. The only option for food is if they accept Islam.”
Nearly half of Pakistan’s total population of almost 234 million live below the poverty line, earning most of their income through daily labor jobs, according to aid groups. Saif and other Christian aid workers warn that the national lockdown has cut off many of these workers from earning daily wages and that reports of starvation are already circulating….

india should take all christians from pakistan and send all moslems in india to pakistan–partition again
Jayell says
Wasn’t that the whole point of partition in the first place? The muslims couldn’t be trusted to behave themselves in a civilised way, so they had their two patches of ground reserved for them and everybody else stayed in India? Now we see very clearly demonstrated why it was best to separate them.
gravenimage says
Not entirely, Jayell–it was the Muslims who demanded what later became Pakistan and Bangladesh.
spiro says
Maybe the pope can call his Muslim friends and fix this

KGB King says
As a muslim i think this is inhumane and should never happen to any non-muslims. I think the sharia law needs to be reformed to be inclusive of other religions and helping out others even if they are non muslim.
KGB King says
The ECSPE should be able to help non-muslims as it is an international funded organization mainly by western countries. But, again any welfare organization muslim or non-muslim should help out non-muslims and muslims without discrimination as doing the opposite goes against service on basis of humanity. Humanity before any religion!
gravenimage says
So, KGB King, you reject everything your creed teaches about humiliating and persecuting Kuffar until they convert to Islam?
This is either Taiqiyya intended to deceive or else you are already half an apostate.
If the latter, then I welcome you to the civilized world. Find out the other horrors that Islam teaches and you may be well on your way.
Rational being says
U cannot. Altering sharia is bid’ah (innovation) and hence unislamic
abu taleb says
Quran says that the non believers, that includes the Christians, are the worst creature. Lower than pigs and dogs. So, how could you say treating the Christian in such a way is inhumane? The Christians are lower than any animal.
You commit blaspheme to Islam!!!
Ray Jarman says
I am almost reluctant to ask the obvious question which is why ECSPE does not provide aid directly to the minorities? If ECSPE and other international agencies that are probably funded in part with American and other western nations’ money cannot help the minorities in Pakistan or any other Islamic hell hole, why are they there?
Debra Gour says
The same thing happened to Syrian Christians since 2015, when they tried to go to the supposedly international Relief Refugee camps in Syria, the Muslims were in Charge of the United Nations Refugee Camps & Food Supplies. Most Refugees that were allowed to Migrate to Europe & Western Countries at that time were Muslims. They seem to always be the Most aggressive Bullies in Society who forceably get whatever they want, in the name of ” ALLAH ” !* Any other minorities are further pushed back & left out. Please pray for God’s Protection & Provision for Christians & Jews, Yazidis, etc. who are Truly the ones in need !*

Grimly true, Debra.

I doubt Pakistan is allowing them to help. Pakistan just recently ousted a slew of Western charities, despite the fact that most of those they aided were Muslim.

Upsetting but not surprising. More’s the pity. One can only hope this policy is not widespread.
Ray Jarman says
Rarely, Unfortunately, you are correct as this is not surprising at all.
Anna Yelena says
Just imagine the world’s backlash if it were Christians withholding food to Muslims. This a tragedy and we should cut out all aid to Pakistan. Please pray for the unfortunate Christians who refuse to convert to Islam which is showing its ugly violent side. God is watching.

All of this is true. I work with a Christian Pakistani evangelist over there and they are all facing very hard times. They really need our help and I have been sending him what money I can. He’s sent me many videos and pictures of families they’re giving food to. I wish more people would stand with me in helping them out. $50 to them goes a long way. There are so many widows and orphans there…
Thanks for bringing attention to this.

And that is what you see when islam is in power, their numbers are the majority, but they won’t say it otherwise, as long as they are in the minority they will ‘play nice.’

You’re welcome, gravenimage. I appreciate the work which Barnabas Fund does and when they had an event at a local church 3 years ago I attended the event and donated. However, I subsequently found their parent organization Baranabas Aid to be somewhat Leftist so I ceased all financial support. I wish them the best in the good they do, but I donate to Christian organizations which are not blinded by Leftist ideology.
This was my email to them on December 26, 2017 in response to their e-newsletter:

Why are you promoting Muslimophobia? You know, just like you accuse BritainFirst of doing.
According to your slanderous email against BritianFirst, we need to fight both Christianophobia and BarnabasAid since BarnabasAid is promoting Muslimophobia by saying “UK Muslim population projected to hit 10% – challenges for Christians in Muslim-majority parts of the UK”!

Ryan, I was not aware of the Barnabus Fund slamming Britain First–I’m sorry to hear it.
They still do a lot of good work, though, and often in places where no one else is helping.
OLD GUY says
We should only provide aid to countries and governments that distribute that aide to all needy people regardless of religion, or ethnic groups. It is probably better if the governments are not involved in the aid process as there is a huge amount of waste and graft any time they are involved. Foreign aide is always tied to political favors, so let the tax payers money stay at home and let charity organization due the job.
