Several days ago, Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage warned that the “illegal boat migrant scandal” was “bigger than anyone realises.” Last week, 91 migrants crossed the English Channel in a single day; they originated from Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, and Iran. Since the coronavirus lockdown began, 550 migrants have reportedly entered the UK, and all have stayed there.
Farage decided to take matters into his own hands to “expose the ‘scandal’ of Britain’s borders remaining open at a time where the rest of the country is closed.”
He went down to the port at Dover and “filmed the Border Force bringing a group of migrants” to the British shores. But then he was reprimanded by police for his “non-essential travel.”
As a a politician and British citizen, Farage has experienced the power of the state to do harm in his own country by allowing in unvetted migrants, while at the same time applying overzealous policing to law-abiding citizens — in this case, himself. Important questions in all this are why the UK continues to turn a blind eye to its migration problem, why it refuses to deal adequately with the problem of Muslim rape gangs, and why it continues to do all it can to conceal the Pakistani and Muslim identity of Muslim rape gangs. The UK should expect much better since Theresa May is no longer Prime Minister. But whether it will get it remains unclear.
“Farage: Police Visit Won’t Stop Me From Reporting on Illegal Immigration”, by Kurt Zindulka, Breitbart, May 6, 2020:
Nigel Farage struck a defiant tone after being informed by police that reporting on the illegal boat migrants was not “essential travel”, saying that he will continue “to cover this scandal” despite the police warnings and the criticism from the “sneerocracy” in the mainstream media.
On Monday evening, two officers from Kent Police visited Mr Farage after he travelled to the port at Dover, where he filmed UK Border Force “acting as a taxi service” as they brought illegal migrants that had set sail from France ashore at Dover.
Describing the late-night visit to his home, Mr Farage wrote in The Telegraph that the police told him: “We understand that you have been to Dover today and we have received a complaint. We’ve come to talk to you about essential travel.”
“I was astonished and, although I remained polite, incredulous. I replied: ‘I’m not going to take that’,” the Brexit Party leader wrote.
“I pointed out that illegal immigration is something I have written and broadcast about. I explained that seven million people had viewed my videos online in the last week, showing this is a public interest matter in which the public is most certainly interested,” Farage added.
The UK’s lockdown law has exceptions for particular professions, including journalists. While Mr Farage is best known as a politician, he has a national radio show and is a frequent newspaper columnist….

After “sea rescue”: Violent migrants on German container ship – Shipping company warns of an escalation of violence
The container ship “MV Marina” (photo above) rescued 79 boat migrants near Malta, without taking into account the risks that welcoming them could cause. Since Sunday the “rescued” are on the ship and are stuck for the time being. This causes aggressions among the refugees and causes anxiety among the crew, who barricade themselves for safety’s sake, apparently there is danger for life and limb. Now the shipping company warns of an escalation on board the ship. Some merchant ships already got the shock of their lives after the “sea rescue” of “shipwrecked boat refugees”, e.g. the oil tanker “El Hiblu 1” was captured – migrants revolted on the “Vos Thalassa” and threatened the crew.

Another story of British police and their ‘visits’, clearly meant to intimidate.
Within the past few days I saw video of a uniformed UK bicycle cop approaching a gang of migrants at a cricket field, he got off his bike and started to remind the youths of social-distancing guidelines.
They responded by heckling him, and when his attention had been diverted one of the youths jumped on his bike and was filmed riding off as the flummoxed cop heard the rest of the youths kick the heckling up another notch.
Why do UK police feel so comfortable hiding the truth of what these migrants are really like, and why do they feel so bold as to visit people at their homes after seeing critical comments on social media?
When I was a kid, any interaction with a cop began with ‘Yes,Sir.” and ended with “Yes, Sir.”, or I’d expect a few whacks with a billy club followed by being handcuffed and thrown in the back seat of a squad car. These migrant ‘youths’ must be so confident because they pretty much know a double standard in their favor is at play.
The British ‘man in the street’ needs to organize and make their collective voices heard.

Henry,
If this stuff keeps happening to UK police, could they start to question the government’s position on muslim migrants – and stop harassing folks like Tommy Robinson?
Anne Smith says
Unlikely, as all the senior police chiefs have been through the Common Purpose training courses and are now completely left wing brain washed and conforming to the Kalergi Coudenhove doctrine, whilst making sure their junior work force does nothing which might upset ethnic communities.
The Common Purpose training programme is at the bottom of everything which is currently going wrong in Britain.
No one is promoted in public sector work unless they have done the Common PUrpose course. It is a sinister force which is destroying Britain as we once knew it.
Today we have no common sense, only Common Purpose.
James Lincoln says
Anne Smith,
Thank you for the true rundown of Common Purpose.

An individual cop in the UK may fear retribution. Not all that long ago a detective in Sweden , Peter Springare I believe, became so disgusted he made public statements.
He was near retirement, so in addition to being disciplined his retirement was threatened. I don’t remember the resolution of that episode, but it must have a sent a message to cops across Europe.
I think that cops need to organize before they act, such as a union. The message to politicians?
Let us take the gloves off, or every last one of us calls in sick on the same day.
Over and over and over again.

Britain First, the political party and street protest organisation, are engaged in making their voice heard. The State is engaged in silencing them. Their facebook page, with millions of followers, has been closed down. Their YouTube account the same. Their leader is being prosecuted under the Terrorism Act for refusing to give police, who interviewed him at the airport on his return from Russia, the passwords to his laptop and telephone. He is not a terrorist.

During the lockdown here in the US, some politicians seem to believe they can suspend people’s 1st Amendment ‘Freedom of assembly’.
People in Michigan assembled anyway and marched on the State Capital, many openly displaying firearms while doing so. Media heads exploded, of course, though not a single shot was fired.
I know British law is different, but when enough people realize they’re getting screwed and make an unmistakable statement like that, politicians back down.
Fred says
Sorry but it is the US,s rights that have lead to the huge amount of COVID case there, persoally I beleive COVID is a bio attact by the CCP but Americans need to think about their personal safety first and gathering in huge protest groups carrying guns is probably the last thing you should be doing, unless it’s in Bejing
gravenimage says
I don’t think endangering your family and vulnerable neighbors is actually patriotic.
Wellington says
Fred: American rights per se are not what led to the Covid spread in America. The lying and cover-ups by China are what are chiefly responsible. And don’t forget that America has the third largest population on earth.
The states with the greatest restrictions, examples being New York and New Jersey, have the highest Covid cases and deaths. In fact, it could be argued that seclusion is exactly the opposite of what should be done because then herd immunity does not build up (even the experts are divided on this).
Yes, if one is not socially distancing, washing hands regularly, etc. this is certainly not wise but rights per se are not the problem. The vast majority of Americans have engaged in proper safety measures. Pointing to a rare protest here and there where enough precautions were arguably not taken is not dispositive of the main reason why America has the number of Covid cases that it does.
gravenimage says
Agreed, Wellington.
And if you take largest number of Coronavirus cases *per capita*, then the US trails several nations.
Besides that, while no one is really testing enough, it is really only the West that is honestly reporting cases. I generally–given the caveat of testing–trust the figures from the West. Some other places like South Korea, Japan, Chile, etc, are probably fairly accurate.
But reported figures out of China, Iran, and North Korea? I wouldn’t trust those *at all*.

All the ‘boat people’ and the other illegal immigrants have the upper hand. The British government seem powerless; indeed they seem to welcome them. We used to laugh at the ‘knock on the door’. We thought it only happened in fascist countries and communist countries. Now it’s happening in our country where we play cricket and drink pints of real ale.We didn’t need a bill of rights, like the Americans; we were born with rights. We got them in 1215 from Prince John at Runymead. Many of our citizens do not know what is happening. Their ignorance is self imposed. But there will be a back-lash. We are not second-class citizens. Not in our own country.
