At Angelview Academy, secrets, lies, and betrayal always win.
How do I know?
I’m the girl whose future just went up in flames.
The outsider from the wrong side of the tracks.
The mortal who didn’t bow to Angelview’s resident god, Saint Angelle.
He said he’d own me, and he did—every inch, from my mind to my body to my soul.
Saint even promised to break me.
That’s where he screwed up.
Because every god should know you can’t break a girl that’s already broken. A girl who’s been shaped by secrets, lies, and betrayal since the day she was born.
That’s why this time around, the elite won’t win.
I will.

Dnf. Awful

This book was terrible. Mallory and saint are just plain unlikeable. Mallory’s chases after toxic sauce demanding he answer her questions and his response is to make sexual advances at her. He’s mean. I thought this was a reverse harem book. Nope. Gabe is nonexistent. Rosalind is pointless. Laurel is just plain awful and Mallory gets no sort of protection from the bullying. No one ever gets in trouble for attacking her. Just everything about this book is unfortunate. Long drawn out pointless nonsense.

POV: h                   Things are beginning to piece together

Mallory and Saint

Must read Saint first.

Continuing right from the cliffhanger ending from Saint.
After being a target, to being protected now betrayed and humiliated in front of the whole student body, Mallory is beyond broken. All her secrets are out. Except for one vital detail, which she's determined to keep. But with having a face from her past in the Academy, will that secret stay between them?
But with recent developments Mallory is prime suspect. She packs up and leaves the Academy. When she gets home she thinks it's best not to return back Angelview. Start a new school where no-one knows her.
Until a surprise visitor comes by and tries to get her to go back. Maybe this person is an ally......"with not coming back you're letting him win, you can't let him win."

So Mallory reconsiders going back, glutton for punishment and all that. These overprivaliged rich bully jerks aren't going to break her further than she already is. She's thick skinned, considering her lifestyle with Jenn.

In returning, she's still not welcomed by the students, they've amped up their hatred for her. Mind you they're only following the one and only highest God-like that is Saint, and queen bitch (it girl) Laurel, (who shattered her in front of the who student body) like the good little lambs that they are.
Mallory still has a friend in Loni and Henry. They understand why she never answered her phone or texts and don't hold that against her.
She's determined to figure out the mystery of the photo who has a woman resembling her and her mother Jenn. Could it Jenn pre-her and drugs?

And now with her past in her face, in the form of a teacher at the Academy, can she cope?
She just wants to forget and move on from Saint, but it looks like he's already moved on from her. Which gives her the extra hatred to (try) and push Saint out of her heart and head.
No matter how she tries to stay away from Saint, they find each other. It's like they've got this push and pull connection. Mallory hates herself everytime she let's Saint near her. He's just a rich, selfish, cruel, sadistic, psycho.
He needs her to still leave Angelview. While certain people are telling her to stay away from Saint.

Then Mallory finds out some shocking news. Stunned is more like it. Just as she finds something horrific.
Who's behind all this?
Who's in that photo?
How & who are they connected to Mallory?

This was such a gripping, concluding part. Yes, you've guessed it, CLIFFHANGER!
Stay tuned for the next instalment, coming soon. Can't wait to see how everything unfolds.

Three stars... (these are three very reluctant and conditional stars...)

Warning: rant ahead!

So, basically, this story reminds me of the Royal Elite series of books by Rina kent. This is because the h is weak and stupid and the H is abusive and borderline insane. However, both writers do this thing where they had this complicated back story.

Do you know the number of times that he tugged her hair back to kiss her, or he slammed his hands on either side of her head on the wall behind her to hold her back, or he wrapped his hand around her throat? too many to count and all of these times, the h was just too weak and 'affected' by his touch to pull away.

There were so many times that I wanted to scream at her and shake her shoulders and scream at her letting her know that she is the dumbest person I know for even still liking someone who had never in his life had one kind thing to say about her.
- He didn't have a heart. I was so sure that he had no heart but she was just too far gone to realize it. - She keeps having all this inner monologue about how she is going to stay away from him and she screams at him multiple times over and over that she will never have sex with him again but like a broken record, she is back in his bed. (My thing is, if you want to have a toxic relationship, stop whining about it and just do it. I had to skim through all of that whining).
- She was just simply annoying. With all that whining, there was barely any of the actual big plots that I stayed for.
- The whole catty, mean school girl act from the OW was getting too much. I was just so annoyed that I rolled my eyes every damn time she spoke. like shut up and let me move on with the story, please.
- Why is everyone in the damn story apart from the best friend and foster mom so... angry. literally for no reason. It was very annoying. Is life just that bad for everyone that they are just so angry for no reason?
- I am still pissed that I am not seeing any character development from the H. He is seriously bipolar and every time I think, maybe he won't stab the h in the back while calling her ever degrading name in the book again, he goes and stabs her in the back while calling her every degrading name in the book.

Overall, I came to the conclusion that the h simply has no shame nor self-respect. That has to be the reason she keeps embarrassing herself over and over again. I can't even blame anyone else for her hardships other than her. She knows what to do to get out of her situation. come on, a girl has to pick herself up some time and say 'I deserve better' doesn't she?

I really don't see any way that the H can redeem himself. If the h has any self-respect, she would leave his ass and start over somewhere else once it is all over. she would also make sure to invest in therapy to help herself off all the mental issues that the H surely brought her.

enough of the ranting... sigh... off to the third one now. after this series, I taking a break from bully romance (I am very careful with calling it that tho. nothing romantic about this so I will not be filing it as romance).

Excellent, captivating story

This book starts off exactly as book 1 left off where I was left with my mouth hanging open. In book 1 we learned some significant details of the heroine's background, but in this book, all secrets are exposed. This story continues to be gritty, with the same toxicity in relationships, the stronger than ever sexual attraction, amid the persistent bullying.

New characters are introduced from the heroine's and hero's families. We learn where the leading characters come from, their motivations. This book seemed to be written with more mystery and romantic suspense since book 1 set the stage for personalities and behaviors. This mystery reveals more about how the heroine and hero are connected and explains more about the reasoning of hero's treatment of the heroine. The hero was still over the top jealous and possessive of the heroine, still claiming her even has he tried (and failed) to distance himself from her against a backdrop of palatable, off-the-charts sexual chemistry.

Again, a hangover of a cliffhanger, and I can't wait for book 3.

Let's just say the only thing got me going on was that there was some story other than the jerk HERO's egoistic remarks and spineless sexually desperate clingy whiny excuse for a heroine.

After allllll the drama, the humiliation by HERO, his bitches, the whole school......this is what we get to read:

He chuckles, and it’s an evil sound that makes me shiver.
“That’s my little masochist,
” he growls, spanking me
again. “No one else gets to see you like this, do you
understand?”
I shake my head against the mattress. “No one else. Just
you.”

I MEAN....IT'S basically proven, the only thing most authors have left is the same cringe bully/romance cycle that we see in every Wattpad story.

If you really just wanna make money do something else rather than writing a whole useless series containing nothing but cliches....wasting out time and money.....

Pretty good, starting to get repetitive though,

Like Jesus Christ, how many times is Liam going to apologize and then do the exact thing he apologized for three seconds later?!?!?!?

And how many times can the author really have Saint "surprisingly" appear. Kind of a weird criticism, but it's never just "Saint arrived" (or wtv) but it's always; "someone knocked at the door, when I opened the door it wasn't who I excepted, it was Saint".

Ok hear me out, that sounds stupid, but if it was rampant enough for me to notice and say something about it, it's clearly overdone.

Obviously a lot of the situations are 10000% unrealistic, but that's really not that bad. :)

Ok, it's late and I'm borderline incoherent bye bye

Daaaaaaang. Okay straight up, I seriously love Mal and Saint. They’re absolute fire together, gasoline and a match every step of the way. While I wish we had more of Saint from book one, he did have his moments that had me swooning over him.

There are definitely some twists and turns happening here, especially toward the end. I’m definitely invested in book three and can’t wait to see how everything comes together.

Loni and Liam are still my showstealers though, I absolutely love them!

I am so glad that I read this book.

This is by far one of my favorite bully romances I've read. It has all the little things that I like in it and I'll tell you what all those things are. (sorry if this gets repetitive) This is also kind of a review of the entire 3 book series so there may be spoilers.

1. The romantic/sexual tension just keeps going with the hero and the heroine. They never fall in love in this first book (or 2nd) and they never commit to each other. All they know is they are very attracted to each other and it's fun and hot. But she hates him because he is a huge asshole to her and in general. And he hates her and just gets off on taunting her. Neither of them really gets mushy at all in this first book (or the second!) Even when he comes to her defense on multiple occasions to keep her safe, he does it in the most assholey way possible.

2. The hero doesn't cave quickly to his feelings for the heroine. Same for her. She's crazy attracted to him but she keeps her emotions at bay because she is well aware he is major bad news. I LOVE it when it's really a long journey for the couple to ultimately commit to each other. For the hero he is just a control freak possessive guy but not a relationship guy or whatever for most of the series.

3. The author stays true to the hero's character. He's a total asshole the WHOLE time to the heroine even once it becomes pretty obvious he has strong feelings for her beyond just an intense initial infatuation. And so far (in the series), I don't think the heroine has gotten "dick dumb" as I've heard it called. Basically just losing her personality entirely with her infatuation with the hero.

4. The heroine isn't a doormat but also isn't unrealistically tough.

5. I like that there is another guy who truly cares for her and he isn't just a convenient plot point to cause tension between the hero and heroine. It definitely does cause tension but it's a real storyline as opposed to just a means to an end for the main couple, you know what I mean? I hate books that have some random unimportant/semi-important guy character who gets the hero all jealous for a second just so there can be a dramatic jealousy scene or something. so dumb. Anyways... Her relationship with him feels real and it's kind of sad for him because you keep seeing how much he feels for her over and over again. He sees how bad the hero treats her and it really tears him up that she keeps going back to him and doesn't seem to feel the same way about him. Either way, Liam, the other guy, is causing constant tension throughout the story. I love it. The only thing that was hard was that you know she doesn’t feel anything for him like that and it’s too bad he wasn’t able to tempt her and make the story crazier. Haha. The last scene in the 3rd book made me so sad for Liam like it seriously broke my heart. Poor guy NEVER stood a chance...

6. I think the whole backstory with the meth mom and fire is interesting. The circumstance of the fire I actually found hilarious and I liked that element. There were a lot of things going on in the story and in general and I was into it. I didn't think it was convoluted, it was just right. Although, in the 3rd book, *SPOILER* their parents turn out to be the villains and I was kind of like meh about it. It was a villain situation where it was not super convincing for me but whatever.

7. I liked the way that the hero and heroines enemyship started. Her throwing an apple at his head for calling her a cunt because she was defending some random girl from him. It's pretty funny and unique I think. I like it that we can understand right from the beginning why the bully hates her as opposed to it being this mystery that doesn't always make the most sense when it's revealed later. Of course it is revealed later that there was more than that. But all the stuff he did felt more like bullying rather than some deep seeded hatred like you see in a lot of bully romances. The hero was legit just getting off on being a dick because he is a dick.

8. The story seems long which I like. There are just so many interactions she's having with the hero it makes for good relationship building and getting to know supporting characters. I felt like there weren't any annoying plot elements that felt cliche. I typically hate club scenes, party scenes, and dumb settings that are usually a set up for somebody getting jealous. The party scenes in this were good because not normal things were happening sort of. It wasn't quite done in the cliche usual way. The whole story is legitimately interesting and I didn't find myself getting bored at the end of this book which I often do. Usually when I get bored it's because the hero and heroine are on the same side now and working together and all that fun exciting tension is gone. That's boring. I’m not interested in reading about a committed relationship. Hard pass. I have one of those in real life, which is why I like reading about fucked up relationships hahahaa.

9. So ya, THEY ARE NOT ON THE SAME SIDE. And it stays that way throughout the entire trilogy practically. It’s not until the 3rd book that things start changing. But even still it takes longer than I thought it would for them to team up. She never trusts him throughout the whole series and they are in this weird relationship not relationship thing for the whole series. Neither will commit to the other in the traditional sense. He just keeps saying she belongs to him and she's like "stay away from me!" Of course they do get together in the end but it takes the whole series which is super fun.

10. they don't fall for each other too quickly. Their relationship is so fucked up and I really really like how they are both always resisting each other for their own reasons in their own weird ways.

11. The hero is blonde. You don't see that too often. They always have very dark hair I feel like. You know, talk dark and handsome.

12. The Harry Potter references. I love how they call the hero "Hot Draco"

13. The way that he fucks her over (shit I can't remember if it happens in this book or the second) is so brutal. and there is no misunderstanding about what he did. It was actually him. He fucked her over so hard. There is no misunderstanding about it. The only problem I had with that was that there was never any satisfying (for me) confrontation with him about why he did it that way or if he felt bad about doing it to her. I mean, he publicly humiliates her and vaguely apologizes for it way after the fact. We know why he did it, but he never explains why he felt like he had to do her so so bad like that.

14. I thought the sex was pretty good because they were like always having these random unplanned encounters and most of the time the heroine is like no no no we are not doing this you're an asshole but they do it anyways and shes' like goddammit I did it again. And then he ignores her or is a total ass afterwards. idk. Sex between book couples who are all in love and obviously super together is so boring. I need the tense uncertainty of their relationship to make it exciting.

15. I really liked Ghost. He felt like a real character. It’s just too bad he had no story arch… He just disappeared suddenly and I was like whaaat? I felt like it was going somewhere maybe? I have a suspicion maybe he’ll get his own book in the future and maybe that’s why.

Some issues I had with the series as a whole:

1.Rosalind was not explained well. Saint asked her to come back and be his girlfriend and he never really explains why. I mean, you assume it’s as a way to appease his father but he never says so.

2. Like I said already, The parents being the villains was meh for excitement. They didn’t feel evil. They just felt like characters. I was never sure how far the father was personally willing to go to get rid of our heroine.

3. What happened to Ghost?

4. The bitch character Laurel was kind of way over the top. But I mean, you always need a good mean girl to make shit interesting am I right?

5. At the very end of the 3rd book like WHOA too much was unanswered. How tf did Saint do what he did at the very end? And the timeframe doesn’t make sense to me. I feel like I missed something.

6. I kind of wish the heroine had made an attempt to be with Liam, knowing he'd be better for her. We all know who she’ll end up with in the end, but I rarely read romances where there is another guy who is a real competition for the hero. I would like to see that more.

So I guess those are my thoughts. Overall, I really enjoyed the series and would probably read it again in the future once enough time passes that I can’t remember what happened anymore.

The main character was meant to be this strong badass girl in theory but became such a doormat. The drama was OOT and bullying non stop yet she never reports it. So infuriating. Won’t be reading the last installment.

dissapointing, very disappointing.

the first book was good and i expected the second book will have a great turn, but meh.

mellory seems can’t decide to leave saint even though he already ruined her life, and turns out ANOTHER UNREASONABLE hate.

i was hoping in the the second book the writer would potray mellory and saint chemistry better but i was wrong, tf saint treating her like a sex slave and she was “omg no, but my body cannot resist”.

the way saint give bully her and save her at the same time just to give mellory some justification of his feelings, nah girl, nah. i felt like saint only want sex when it comes to her.

Saint la llama “little masochist” and, honestly? I think he’s fucking right. Do you really think I’d fuck this piece of trailer trash? Been there, done that, got the blow job.

Existe Liam.

So after two books from this series, here are my final thoughts:

Mallory. I started out liking Mallory because damn, that girl had a strong backbone. But by book two, she constantly made stupid decisions that I couldn’t overlook. As the characters pointed out, and I’m inclined to agree, how could she be such an idiot sometimes. How can she be strong and yet this fucking naive. Plus, she was a shitty friend to Loni.

Saint. Not gonna lie, I didn’t like him in the beginning and I still don’t like him now. I’d hope that as the series went on, he’d grow on me, but nope. Nada. He has absolutely no character growth. His constant hot and cold, was acceptable in this first book, but by book two, it go old real fast. Saint was just an asshole. And not much of a redeemable one either. Oh and I swear the dude is always snarling and growling. And I don’t think he’s capable of going five sentences without the word fuck in it.

Their relationship. In book one, it wasn’t thatttttt bad. But this book, it all flushed down the drain. Their relationship had no growth. It was just a constant back and forth. Mallory: for fuck sakes, stop letting him get away with shit and turning into a puddle just because he’s hot. Saint: what the fuck is wrong with you. Everything you say, you end up contradicting yourself. Rinse, repeat, cycle.

The plot. I think the only reason I made it this far is because I have a weakness for soap opera-y, dramatic ass stories. Even when it’s outrageous and utterly cliche, I somehow eat it up for how entertaining it is. I practically guessed most of the plot. But one or two things did keep me gasping. Only in the sense that DAMN, even MORE soap opera-y??

The bullying was also taken to an extremely, highly unrealistic level. Don’t you all have other stuff to do? Your own problems to deal with? Better stuff to go blow all that money you have on??

In the end, I will not be reading book three. As much as I love soap opera-y books like this, this story just wasn’t done all that well. I’m pretty forgiving in the sense that I know what kind of book I’m picking up and so I don’t have much expectations, but this just wasn’t it.

Not as good as the first one. MC really is a masochist and it's painful.

While this was still a fast read... I didn't like it nearly as much as the first one.

I don't get how the main character could still be obsessed with Saint after that and keep going back to him over and over again, with his shit attitude. Maybe because I've never been one for the "bad boys" or because I'm not interested in abusive control freaks? It was rough to read through that this time around. The first book was more understandable... But time and time again after deceit and torment she went crawling back. She really was the epitome of a masochist, and it was painful. I could talk about this part of the book all day... Especially with it being about 95% of it.

Other than that, there were quite a few grammatical errors and words just plain missing.

There were still some twists and turns, but I felt that it was slightly more predictable. I still appreciated them though, and like how the author is capable of coming up with them and making an interesting story.

Also, the main character accepted not getting answers a lot of the time, and she really did in the first one too. This always drives me crazy in books, something being right in front of someone, but they're not willing to push for answers. It didn't bother me so much in the first or the second book really because she did try asking a decent amount of the time, but stated she was too tired to press it more or it was obvious the person wasn't going to give answers, etc. While that's not much, it was enough to mostly sate me. Although, it was definitely a common scenario.

While I thought the first book was pretty darn good, this one was just okay, and I don't think I'll be reading the third one, unfortunately.

This book really hits the ground running and I loved the suspense of the opening chapters as we learned what actually happened after the fire. The drama was so well written, I was hooked right back in again from the first page.

🪄 The Harry Potter references are top notch and Mallory is actually way funnier than I first realised. I really enjoyed her dry humour, especially when she was letting rip on the bullies and Saint.

🥀 Laurel’s taunts got a bit repetitive, I started to skim them a little because there’s only so many times I can read the words ‘bitch’ and ‘slut’ before my brain just became numb to it.

🪐 Mallory contradicted herself a lot with Saint. I was dying for her to really give him a taste of his own medicine but she always just seemed to fall back into his arms which got a little frustrating after the third or fourth time.

🍭 I still have a lot of unanswered questions, especially regarding Saint’s role in that little presentation with Laurel and his lack of apology for it. I hated him a lot more in this book, but as always he pulled it back with his protectiveness and constant white knight moments.

💋 Again, this book had ridiculous and over the top amounts of drama and miscommunications and absolutely none of this would ever in a million years happen at a high school, but these books are just so addictive and I can’t stop myself from reading them.

Rating- 🌟🌟🌟💫/5

‼️ Another cliffhanger ending

What. The. Fuck. HAPPENED?? The first book in this series wasn’t Shakespeare, I know, but I appreciated a heroine who wasn’t a pathetic dumbass who didn’t mind getting scrappy. The throwing an apple at Saint’s head was a great catalyst to the rest of Mallory’s shitshow academic life.

And then Malice decided to say fuck that, let’s turn it around and make this chick an absolute moron. I’m not saying it’s unreasonable to get caught up in some dickmatization because it happens - I get it. But holy fuck, like 84% of this book is literally just Mallory taking shit on the chin and then telling herself she needs to ask Saint 800 versions of WHY he does the shit he does. I love some push and pull in these trope genres but this was a fucking chore to get through because it seemed like Mallory had so little push or pull to give, all she had to rely on was Saint’s touch for her brain to melt into a puddle of pussy juice. I want tension! I want ANGST! And somehow even though saint is a total shithead, Mallory has become such a doormat to it theres honestly no more room left to feel anything for her. No angst, no dread, no sympathy. It’s way too focused on her physical attraction to Saint that Malice totally misses the opportunity to develop Mallory’s angst from a place of grief, dejection, and trauma. Instead her stress is almost entirely rooted in the fact that she’s horny and it’s a real fucking disappointment from the relatively put together chick she was in the first book.

3 stars for the writing style, the fact that I finished and the knowledge that I will read Eden cuz I wanna know what happens. But I had more issues with this book than enjoyment. Main problems:

Mal is a TOTAL DOORMAT. She's such a weak person compared to book 1 and it's infuriating how often she does something (Saint) then regrets it, only to do it again. And again. And again... Not only this, she's a frickin terrible friend. Her behaviour at saints bday party was awful. Ditching Loni to stay and shack up with him (yet again) what a bitch. She's not likeable in the slightest and I don't sympathise with her at all.

Liam. Okay, I don't know how this trilogy pans out as I have yet to read Eden but OMG there better be some justice for Liam. She treats him like crap, leads him on, uses him (taking his car with barely a thank you? Please!) And as Saint is the male lead it seems pretty obvious she's gonna end up with him, but I prefer Liam SO MUCH. Even his look - dark, brooding, tattoos. Why the hell would you want Saint over that? Baffles me. He better get a happy end / his own book I swear.

The plot. There pretty much isn't one. An entire to book to find out something that I guessed in the ending of the first book. I enjoyed the ride though (endless pointless internal monologue from Mal about how much she hates Saint and how sick she feels all the time, only for her to bang him repeatedly anyway, yawn.)

But hey, I enjoyed the ride and I will be reading Eden.

I don't even know how but I managed to finish this book. And let me tell you, that wasn’t easy since Mallory managed to take her incredibly high level of stupidity into even a higher one which tbh I didn't think would be possible after finishing book 1 but here we go.

I really don't understand how it is even possible that a female writer can come up with such a toxic example of a female protagonist, especially when writing YA, the genre for young girls who more often than not are inspired by their favourite fictional characters. What has to come to a woman's mind to create a character that is so vulgar, so mind-numbingly stupid and lacking even the tiniest bit of common sense?

You want an example?

Saint keeps calling her a trailer whore, a bitch and a slut in front of the entire school, he says she repulses him and he would never touch her slutty ass again, he betrayed her by spilling out her darkest secrets to the entire school, he doesn't react when people bully the shit out of her.
And what does Mallory do? She sleeps with him. Again and again and again. He calls her a slut in front of everyone and all she can think is how attractive he is and that he probably doesn't mean it.

I gotta say, the number of eye rolls and the amount of cringe I experienced when reading this crappy book is beyond compute.

I liked Mallory in the first book in the beginning. I assumed she would be a tough one because way she stands up to people. But then ...in this book as well...she seems to be all talk. Firstly...Saint is a total POS. He has absolutely no respect for Mallory, constantly disrespects her even in front of people yet she continues to sleep with him.

I will never understand why she isn't interested in Liam romantically when he's the only one that has treated her with respect and has always been there for her and is very attractive. I don't get it. I really hope he gets his own book one day.

Mallory has been assaulted verbally through text, in person, physically by many people...yet not one freaking time does she report it or even fight back...wtf?!

I do agree with others that this book wasn't necessary because not much came out of it until the end. I know Saint will be Mallory's end game unfortunately but I sure do hope his personality changes because him continually treating her as if she's not important only for sex isn't okay. I also think she might be pregnant. Doesn't sound like they been using protection and isn't on birth control. She's constantly throwing up claiming stress.

Hopefully next book has multiple POV . I think that's what is making the book lack. If we had an idea how Saint's brain is working..it would help.
