You will be sucked in from the moment you start this book until you close out of it, lost in the epic book hangover I assure you is upon you!     Emille just lost her dad and his business partner wants her in exchange to keep her mom comfortable during her final months due to cancer.

    She bumps into Titan (she used to be with Bones, his friend) and he took her phone. He wants what he asked for her in the past to get it back. She forms a plan to make sure her mom is taken care of and not have to be with George (dad's business partner).

    Titan runs a club for "Queens": women who he rents out but they only do what they want. Em decides to go fro a job there and does whats needed to get it and her phone back. After that, Titan keeps wanting her for himself. As things seems to progress between, things from the past keep coming up and not everything with Em's life is as it seems as she keeps taking hits left and right.

    This book had me on a rollercoaster of feeling like I couldn't stand Titan, then he would do something that made me like him, then I wanted to throw my shoe at the way and shake some sense into him and then he made swoon, then I hated him again and then he won me over. This book was a true whiplash of do I like him or don't I like him. And honestly, only Shantel can truly make me feel that way about an MMC. She has this gift of truly writing a character with awful characteristics that if you saw them in real life you would run the opposite way but when she gives them to us in fictional characters, we always ask for me.

    Now going into this book, I was so surprised to see Emilee as the FMC. I thought for sure she would be Bones's FMC since they have a history that was discussed in Code of Silence. And I'm not going to lie, these three have a ver interesting dynamic but I'm low key here for it. And that scene with the three of them 👀 (IYKYK) will live rent free in my head. Not to mention that scene with Emilee, Titan, Bones and Jasmine. It's a scene I never knew I needed and know that I experienced, it's one that I am so glad that I did.

    I do want to say, I felt so bad for our girl Emilee. This girl really went through it. Which is another thing that is a staple in all of Shantel's books. She loves to give us FMCs that are put through the wringer, crawl their way out of tough situations and find their HEA with a completely unhinged walking red flag. And for that I am forever thankful!

    FMC was absolutely insufferable! MMC wasn’t far off. FMC was with MMCs bff for years but always listed not acted on the MMC. MMC lusted after the FMC watched her with his bff during spicy time but never acted until this book. I mean he had years apparently but didn’t chase her or even keep tabs on her but as soon as he sees her bam she is mine. Ugh. Then he shares her with his bff. Like what? The relationship aspect was not believable at all! Some of the spice was gringy not all. I mean if you’re looking for spice this book definitely has that. Plot meh. The plot twist is as ok but it was pretty obvious after clues. It surprises me the author is a woman because she writes her FMCs as weak and dumb. First book in this series FMC was an idiot. Ugh. I read and listened to audiobook. Loved both voice actors they did a good job; saved the rating for me. Definitely would have given a lower rating without them.

    This story is part of a series where all the major characters get there own book and HEA. BUT, I have been looking for Silent Nite, the last book (6th) that should have come out long ago, and I am very disappointed to say that I don’t think it was written… i can’t believe that it’s been promoted for so long and it didn’t come out after the last book of the series in 2022. After 5 books in this series, I was getting attached to does characters and feel abandoned in the end…
    I’m a sucker for reading series and when it’s left with no ending 😱😡
    I have to lower my reviews a little of the whole series.

    Solid book. Hot as sin.

    A bit darker and more emotionless characters than I was expecting. I liked Titan and love the whole idea and group that is kingdom. I wanted a bit more real connection between Titan and Em. I was kinda rooting for Bones 😂

    Overall it was a great book and I loved the introduction into this family and this world.

    Solid read.
