Does that mean it was a jihad attack? Not certainly, but it’s probable. If it is, watch for the establishment media either to ignore it altogether or cue up a new round of hand-wringing about “Islamophobia.”
“Shooting at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi is terror-related, FBI says,” by Dakin Andone, Barbara Starr and Hollie Silverman, CNN, May 21, 2020:
(CNN) Thursday’s shooting at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi in Texas is terror-related, according to FBI officials.
Authorities previously said a shooter had been “neutralized,” but there may be a second person of interest still at large, FBI Supervisory Senior Resident Agent Leah Greeves said during a short press briefing. The agent did not provide additional information.
The shooter is deceased, Greeves said.
One member of the naval security forces was injured in the incident, the US Navy said in an earlier statement. The sailor is in “good condition.”
The base was put on lockdown after security forces responded to reports of an active shooter around 6:15 a.m. CT, according to the Navy.
The suspect attempted to rush the security gate with a vehicle, a US defense official familiar with the initial reports told CNN.
Security deployed a barrier to stop the vehicle. The suspect exited the vehicle and opened fire, the official said, and naval security forces returned fire….
Thursday’s shooting took place just days after the FBI and the Justice Department announced it had found a link between al Qaeda and a Saudi military trainee who killed three US sailors and wounded several others in a terror attack last year on Naval Air Station Pensacola.
The shooter in that attack, who was killed by law enforcement, had communicated with al Qaeda operatives as recently as the night prior to the shooting, officials said.

Nothing from CAIR, yet–except the usual glee that another filthy ‘unbeliever’ or three is being investigated for “Islamophobia” (you know: doing what Muslims hate so much: telling the truth about Islam’).
Iambob says
It is profoundly suicidal that, now, everyone from the president down to the lowest, local reporter refuses to even make mention of the word ‘Islam.’ So, they deliberately refuse to call these attacks what they really are; Islamic terrorist attacks.
Their stubborn and politically-correct refusal to call out Islam, by name, indicates we’ve learned little about how to deal with this global enemy of human civilization since 9/11. That’s why we’re losing the war against it.
It’s Islam, stupid!

You are so right! There is one politician, a man named Rick Phillips running for Congress in Idaho , and he is saying what all of our politiicans should be saying. ( You can google him) I am praying from Mr. Phillips to win…..and if he does, to run for President.
I’m frankly disgusted with the way out politiicans pander to Islam , and Trumps dealings with the Saudi is even more disgusting.
And I am at a loss to explain it….
Is it because they fear Islamic retaliation? ( they have guards)
Are they recieving bribes from Islamic countries? ( surely not all of them!)
Are they ignorant of what Islam really teaches? ( They have people who can research this and give them a summary, so they don’t have to read the Koran and Hadith themselves , or they could watch people, like Apostate Prophet, Dr. Bill Warner or David Woods videos to learn about Islam)
Are they afraid of loosing votes from moslems if they come out against Islam? Or ruining their political career? Moslsms are a minority so loosing the Moslem vote wouldn’t be too bad and off set by gaining millions of votes from people like us.
Where are the patriots? Willing to sacrifice everything for America?
Unfortunately Islam is winning. And the more moslems that are elected to positions of influence and power, the faster this Civilization Jihad , and the Islamification will accelerate .
Keep in mind that the longer we go without stopping Islam , the stronger and more deeply entrenched it becomes.
I said ages ago that political correctness would be the death of us and I was right. It’s Islam, the Islamic doctrine, as contained in the Koran, Hadith and Sira that is the cause of Islamic terrorism and jihad.
The Koran commands never ending war against Dar al Harb , and the only peace is so Islam can re group or gather strength for another onslaught, peace is for Islam’s benifit amd only temporary.

Lilith, agreeing with your premise, I suggest one illustration of the long term conflict can be found in the Dune series started by Frank Herbert and continued by other authors to conclude the story. I believe there were 7 books required to tell of a 10,000 year struggle. I am pretty sure one of the reasons I graduated where I did in law school instead of higher in class rank is that I read all the Dune books that were available during that time in addition to Winston Churchill’s History of WWII, instead of my law books.
I hope that it does not take 10,000 years to bring peace and liberty to our future.

The Media is always reluctant to name a Perp’s Race, Religion or Name, unless of course, he is White, Christian or Jewish. We will hear little about this, I fear. Remember what a General at Ft.Hood Texas Said, when a Muslim committed Mass Murder, I JUST HOPE THIS DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH OUR MUSLIM OUTREACH PROGRAM. He retired shortly, thereafter.

I think the idea that muslims can be trained and indoctrinated to fight against other muslims against the goal of world conquest, slavery and murder is getting a severe test, which will show the idea to be not just mildly false, but utterly delusional. To be muslim is to accept and support all the goals or be a reformer or apostate, with the penalty of death prescribed.

Grimly true, Frank.

FA,
Your comment brings to mind for me two things: “You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear,” and from the Bible, the question, “Can a leopard change its spots?”
If a person born into a moslim family and raised on that evil filth, their heart must either accept it or reject it. If their heart accepts it, then no “training” will make any difference. If their heart rejects it as evil, filthy, unacceptable, wrong, etc,. then that person can, and likely will, find a way to flee the evil or be killed by others who accept it.
Therefore, the Bible is correct in asking if the “leopard can change its spots.” The spots are not changeable. The “heart” is either bent toward good or evil. It seems that in the case of most people raised as moslim, their heart accepts the evil as something good. Just as the prophet Isaiah wrote so very long ago.
Frank Anderson says
S.H. you and I both know from our experience and observation that most people cannot change. That makes the few who can and do terribly important and worthy of all the honor and protection we can share. They help us see what we would otherwise miss. I have my list of those I hold in high regard, and I have every reason to think you have your list. Many of the same people may be on both lists.
The fascinating experience in my life that makes our point is the more or less monthly supper meetings of the local members of my military high school graduating class. We have gotten a lot older in more than 50 years. We have mellowed and show each other much more respect and courtesy. But otherwise we just have not changed that much.
To be muslim is to submit to the slavery of islam. Whatever momentary personal departures that look to non-muslims as reform are easily abandoned for the right time and opportunity. As long as a person remains muslim trust is horribly misplaced by non-muslims.
James Lincoln says
Frank, you are correct – most people cannot change.
In order to change, one has to admit that they were wrong in their thinking – a challenge too big for most.
But I do admire the ones who can…

Some doctors have said that an unborn baby is already developing a personality. The way they are nurtured after birth adds to that basic person.
Due to the fact that my many siblings and I moved from our “home” state to others and didn’t see each other for long periods of time…years..it was possible to see that the personality that was present in the young versions of each of us was still there as adults.
I observed closely the personalities of those younger than I and years alter, saw they had not changed from their younger selves…except to grow in girth, hair changes, deeper voices, etc. The way they were as children was the way they were/are as adults.
I have great respect for a person who sees the need for a change for the better and makes the effort…tremendous though it is…to change. The heart really has to want to change the mind, thinking, reasoning, actions, habits, etc. The Apostle Paul says this is a “making the mind over, putting on the “new personality,” and it is not an easy task.
I have a friend that I made when we were both young. Due to moving to different towns, we would lose track and not see each other for years. Then, circumstances would change, and we would be living in the same town again. No matter how long in between seeing each other, it would be as if it was only the day before and we could pick up where we left off. This could not be possible if people made a lot of changes from who they are as they age and learn. But the basic personality remains.
If somehow you and I know some of the same people, then we most likely have similar lists. I don’t make friends easily…perhaps I am too critical. But, when I do find someone of a similar mind, the friendship is a strong one. I was that way as a young child, and I can truthfully say, I have not changed.
Frank Anderson says
S.H. I have many friends, not all of them from the military school we attended over 50 years ago, that go back many decades. Have you heard the expression, “A friend will help you move. A real friend will help you move a body?” I am happy to say none of us have ever needed that level of commitment. But who knows? If it is good and in our power, I think we would all push hard to help.
I do not write about my personal experience about one subject because of its sensitivity. I think I can, without going into detail that I would rather avoid, agree with your proposition about the pre-natal development of personality. Peace be with you.

Good posts, Somehistory, Frank, and James.
Some people *do* change for the better, but it is rare and usually quite difficult.
Frank Anderson says
GI that is why I constantly ask for praise and protection for those who do change. Leading my long list of equally respected people who got out of islam are Mark Gabriel and Wafa Sultan. There are many others I cannot name because of my ignorance, who deserve the same honor and protection, Miracles happen along with accidents. I am no doubt one of the accidents.
My honored friend to this day, who conducted a most helpful divorce recovery seminar that I joined almost 20 years ago always had a prayer list. I would always remind him of the “great left out”: Those whose names we do not know, but whose names and needs are known to God. It’s one of those lawyer things called a residuary clause in some contexts to cover otherwise missing and lost matters..

Agreed, Frank.
This is also largely what the Christian holiday “All Souls Day” is for–to pray for good people who may not be individually known to us.

Islam is a cancer in the body politic of Western nations.
I proceed from this assumption which has been validated again and again and again and again. So, perhaps overdue to treat said assumption as an axiom or law (or some such designation—you get what I mean).

Right,Wellington ! But you were too selective. The pile of dung called islam is a cancer upon The World !

I don’t get it! Is it only an oil thing? Why the hell would we give a damn about these hardcore murderers, rapists, robbers and slave-drivers? Why would we let them anywhere near us?
Their constitution declares that they are at war with us, forever.
Don’t let uninformed idiots run our countries! If they get elected, educate them. Signs like “DHIMMI” or “KAFIR” should beeenough to force them to learn something, and force the electorate to learn the centuries-old bad news. And don’t elect the ones into government who can be bought by the Saudis or the Aga Khan or Soros or anyone.
mortimer says
So … it MIGHT have ‘something to do’ with Islam … after all.
If the Saudi military intelligence branch has trouble finding an Islamic terrorist, how can we?
So … do any Muslims trust each other?
Isn’t it time that US military members learned the basics of jihad so that they can have a tiny chance of spotting a jihad terrorist when he’s right ahead of them?
At a minimum, every Western KAFIR needs to know AL WALAA WAL BARAA … the doctrine that teaches Muslims to hate KAFIRS and show contempt and hostility to them.
James Lincoln says
I personally enter military bases on a regular basis. The gate protocol is this:
1. Approach the gate very slowly.
2. Keep both hands visible.
3. Roll your window down and show your ID to the military police officer with his M-16 and Beretta M9.
4. Be very courteous to the military police officer.
5. Obey all orders. You may have to show license, registration, proof of insurance. Your car may be search from stem to stern for contraband, etc.
6. Proceed, slowly, only after directed by the military police officer.

I’m not saying give them the martyrdom that they seek; this guy failed in his jihad and was shot.

David Wood made a YouTube video about this act of terrorism that didn’t terrorize anyone …and how inept this jihadi was…..and now no Islamic group has claimed credit….because it’s so inept and ridiculous…..

Forget Corpus Cristi, you have a bigger jihad in America; Trump just appointed a Muslim drug czar Moncef Slaoui and Robert Spencer has mentioned nothing. Unproven RNA–DNA altering vaccine technology with Muslim oversight (managment) and distribution by the military. I’m beginning to wonder about Jihad Watch and who’s side are they really on. A Muslim putting a needle in America’s arm should be very disconcerting but not a word about it. Humm.

Quick search proves you right. We didn’t desert our country, it deserted us ,many many years ago.
This is merely the after effect. In essence, it no longer matters, if we vote participate, they will go around us and give the enemy the edge.I thought that Trump was different and effective.Yeah right
The swan song I hear, is a funeral song, the burial of the country, by our own.Why else hire him?
Why not stop mid eastern nationals from coming on our bases? Why the hell are we training our enemies?Think this would have happened in ww2 not a ghost chance in hell.I am tired beyond words of our leaders destroying what our elders fought and died for.To hand it over to reprobates liars murderers thieves and other wanton kooks.
They use needles into peoples nether regions to attempt to force them to convert so this isn’t hard to believe.Mark my words they will find a reason the vaccine needs to be injected into your nether parts and not your glutemous maximus or arm. They truly enjoy all forms of rape and subjugation. Now with coronavirus they no longer have to make up fictional medical reasons and employ cops with fictional warrants to do their raping.Trump emboldened them all with his hire of this creature.God help us all
Lilith Wept says
I agree. I thought Trump was different. But his relationship/deals with the Saudi and the positive things he has said about Islam prove that either he’s no different from all the others…..or he’s gonna try to do something in his second term and didn’t want to jeopardize getting that second term by taking action during his 1st term. He’s playing a long game. I hope that’s the case. Because wirh 2020, there aren’t any better choices……and I’m real,y worried about 2024, if Democrats get a president , then we are so screwed.
I am beginning to believe that the only way to get our country back…from the moslems, and the liberal, leftist traitors , the Socialists , Comminists , the One Word Order , and the political tyrants is to start all, over agin. Tear it all down and begin again. How bad does it need to get before patriots wake up ?
Every time any politicians tries to do something good for this country , he is attacked, and all kinds of obstacles thrown in his path. And he has to compromise with the liberal leftists that Oppose him, like Trump with the Stimulus act, look at all the money the liberal, left got , and its a waste! We shouldn’t be spending money like that! We are borrowing as if there will never be any repayment…What happens of those loans are called in? Wha th happens to the economy then?
And now they ( Pelosi) want even more money to be spend , wasted!?!
I’m not gonna get started on career politicians and how we need term limits!
gravenimage says
I don’t think we should tear down our civilized nations–just work to make them better.
The main problem with Trump is that while he is refreshingly anti-Jihad, that he still understands almost nothing about Islam itself–this leads to schizophrenic policies.

This appointment *is* a concern
I don’t see where a vaccine has ever changed the recipients’ DNA, though.

The way to stop these attacks is to stop allowing islamic migration and visitor visas from islamic countries. Islamic people already hear get automatic deportation for committing violent crimes after serving their jail time. There is no benefit to American society from Islam’s political “Religious” ideology and its followers. We certainly can find a higher class of immigrants than muslims and islamic followers who want to become Americans not convert it to their ideology.
