In response, the Ecumenical Patriarchate has called these charges “unsubstantiated slanders, which are highly inflammatory and upsetting to the Christian and Jewish members of our people. As this action was very painful, very grave and irresponsible, and made further allegations, we consider it necessary to explain to the public our concerns in order to reduce the false claims against the Orthodox community in Turkey. Unfortunately, the racist manifestations and violations that have been committed in various countries are likely to be perpetrated against us.”
That is indeed likely.
“Targeting of Bartholomew by a Turkish magazine – Concern at the Patriarchate,” translated from “Στοχοποίηση Βαρθολομαίου από τουρκικό περιοδικό – Ανησυχία στο Πατριαρχείο,” <a href=”https://www.skai.gr/news/world/stoxopoiisi-vartholomaiou-apo-tourkiko-periodiko-anisyxia-sto-patriarxeio” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Skai.gr</a>, May 11, 2020:
A dangerous article has been published in a Turkish magazine from the group that also publishes Yeni Şafak. It accuses many members of the minority, including Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, of helping Fethullah Gulen stage a coup against Tayyip Erdogan. In fact, the article also has photos of the people it accuses, among which the Ecumenical Patriarch can be seen. Patriarchate: Danger of racist attacks and desecration The Ecumenical Patriarchate said in a statement that the publication was targeting members of the community and religious leaders with false allegations. It expressed strong concern about the high risk of racist attacks and desecration. It is worth noting that just two days ago, there was an arson attack on an Armenian Church, with the perpetrator claiming that the Armenian community was to blame for the coronavirus.

Any inflammatory story like this, if it’s not censored by Herr Erdogan, then it’s safe to say that is is endorsed and possibly planted by him, El Douche.

This ‘classification’ and attempt to promote ‘discrimination’ against Christians are precursors of genocide. It is clear that Saint Sophia’s Church is a prized symbol of Islamic supremacism and Erdogan means to have. The pope will do and say nothing, now that the Eastern patriarch has been falsely accused. Erdogan sees the pope as a soft-headed fool … which he is.
According to Gregory H. Stanton (President, Genocide Watch; Research Professor in Genocide Studies and Prevention, School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution, George Mason University), there are ten stages of genocide: 1) 1)us-versus-them classification, 2)labelling, 3)discrimination, 4)dehumanization, 5)organization, 6)polarization, 7)preparation, 8)persecution, 9)extermination, 10)denial. .
We are seeing the first six (of ten) stages in Turkey from ‘classification’ to ‘polarization’. A ‘classification’ is the first part of a genocide. The society is divided into ‘US-VERSUS-THEM’. Then symbols and slanders are forced upon the target group, and then government-managed discrimination is begun.
‘Polarization’ is the stage they are now at in Turkey. It will likely proceed from there to government-organized actions that harm minorities in Turkey.
The denial of previous genocide is usually the sign that the perpetrators have not repented and that they are likely produce a future genocide.
Human rights organizations have a big job to try to alert the world before Turkey’s next genocide starts. They will next begin a genocide against the Kurds as well.

i would hope that the u.s. would see that erdogan is dangerous, abandon u.s. bases there, and threaten the wanna-be caliph with u.s. support of an independent kurdistan if he doesn’t stop islamic aggression. this pious muslim needs to be contained, but i fear that those at and near the top in the national u.s. government are leftist traitors who *want* to see the u.s. destroyed, and will do nothing against erdogan.
sieg heil, f***ing nazi traitors.

While an independent Kurdistan might be a good thing, it could easily become another home for jihadists.

Turkey: Magazine accuses Ecumenical Patriarch, other Christian and Jewish leaders of role in coup against Erdogan
……………….
These are the kind of false accusations that appeared in the Turkish press during the Armenian Genocide.
