149 more Nepali women rescued from Kuwait, all released on parole

By Chadani Hamal, Kathmandu, June 11: The second aircraft of Jazeera Airlines, Kuwait, has landed in Kathmandu.

The aircraft with 149 Nepali women on board landed in Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at 2:00 PM today.

Earlier today, 150 women had returned to Nepal via the same airlines.

299 women in total have been evacuated today, informed Dev Chandralal Karn, TIA spokesperson.

The Nepali Army (NA) will be sending the returnees to different holding centers in Kathmandu.

They will be sent to home quarantine, hotel or quarantines set up by the government after collection of personal details.

All returnees released on parole

Nepali ambassador to Kuwait, Durga Prasad Bhandari, informed that all Nepali women returnees were released by the Kuwait government on parole.

They were serving jail sentence in Kuwait.

Out of 7,991 Nepalis willing to return from Kuwait, only 2,991 have received the approval to return.
