The first Airbus A320neo aircraft under the Hungarian HA-LJA registration has joined the fleet of European low-cost carrier Wizz Air.

It is already 122 aircraft in Wizz Air fleet, which consists exclusively of Airbus planes. The A320neo type has been introduced to the fleet of the budget carrier with this recent delivery.

With the new A320neo Wizz Air aims to contribute to greener aviation, as the type offers “nearly a 50% reduction in noise footprint, a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and a nearly 50% reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions compared to previous generation aircraft”.

“Wizz Air is the lowest cost producer in Europe operating the youngest and economically most efficient fleet of aircraft with the lowest environmental footprint,” added CEO of the company.
