You and Me #2

Ghostin' You

Rate this book
Book two of this interconnected series continues with broken hearts and love in all the wrong places...

The last thing I expected to do was walk away from him.
My heart broke in two, my world cold and empty.
While I fell into the arms of another,
He lost himself to alcohol and parties.

I tried to pick up the pieces, tried to move on,
But the days were long, and the nights were longer.
Dean was there, with open arms, and promises of a future,
One I didn’t want but thought I needed.

Levi haunts my dreams while Dean is there to wipe away my tears.
One destroys me, while the other makes me better.
But sometimes better isn’t best and sometimes you can’t help but choose what destroys you.
I should be ghostin’ him while lovin’ you but instead my heart beats for you both.
How will I choose?

*Warning- ends on a cliffhanger

“Wise men say
Only fools rush in
But I can't help falling in love with you” E. Presley

I am really trying to gather my thoughts and feelings, after finishing the second part...
I never expected all these twists, it was a great rollercoaster!!!
While I was reading, I constantly had to remind myself that the characters were young. And at this age the mistakes are bigger but can be excused due to lack of experience and maturity.

I will not reprimand Raina for her choices. She was so young and had her whole life ahead of her. She was a lovely girl, focused, strong and very caring. After what she went through, she had to move on.
Levi was a broken and troubled soul. His denial of accepting his alcoholism led to tragic results.

It was very intense and angsty! Very well written, with an amazing plot and cast of great characters!!

As if it was not enough that Raina and Levi were breaking my heart, I was also heart pounding for Dean... 💔

Book 2 in the You and Me series and all I can say is wow. Loved this story. Ghostin You picks up where Lovin You left off and you need to get ready because Rai and Levi will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride. All I can say is get your tissues ready. It will end on a cliffhanger so you have been warned. Loved this book and I can’t wait to read how it will all end for Rai and Levi.

I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED?! Book two in the “You and Me Series” has destroyed me. My mind is racing. How do I explain what I just experienced. This story is ALL KINDS of messy.

Addiction, rehab, unrequited love, and self destructible behavior are all part of this story. Sob.

Raina for the entirety of this book is a lost soul. Plan to NOT be impressed with her choices but having said that, I understand why she was looking for connection.

As we saw in Lovin You, Levi is a perfect example of someone suffering from alcoholism. When I am not wanting to smack him, I just want to hug him. These feelings of course are the crazy making behaviors of an alcoholic. Yes I have had personal experience trying not to enable someone dealing with addiction. It is painful and exhausting. This author depicted that struggle well.

So I have to tell you that I am extremely conflicted by this story. You see I fell in love with someone. His name is Dean. Ugh I want to tear up thinking about him. He has a heart of gold and you learn about the injustices in his life. Sigh. I don’t think things end well for him in the next book. Ugh but I am not sure. Yikes I need that book now. This author is cruel. Yes you are going to be left hanging again. Plan to be filled with all kinds of anxiety and questions.

Happy Reading Everyone! XOXO

And here I thought the previous book in the You & Me series was an emotional rollercoaster ride...boy howdy! This one is even harder to get through and I'm now left a blubbering mess after reaching this book's cliffhanger ending. From start to finish readers are put through the wringer alongside main characters that are clearly struggling at the start, struggling with addiction, self-doubts, and unrequited love. With each turn of the page readers will become even more invested in the outcome as a love triangle comes crashing down into a moment that will change all of them irrevocably.

Raina's wallowing in heartbreak at the start of this story, missing Levi but knowing that staying with him would've dragged her down too. She's simply going through the motions, a ghost merely existing one day at a time through actions that sometimes frustrated me while understanding where her heartache came from. She's depressed and clearly a lost and lonely soul, looking for a bit of solace...which leads her to Dean. Dean's a truly good guy, sweet and sexy, and it's obvious that he loves Raina. Not so obvious is how she feels about him. Dean's a very appealing hero and a delicious piece to Raina's love triangle, but he's got his own baggage, baggage that he'll have to deal with one tragic night of no return. It's baggage that will lay him bare, pluck reader's heartstrings, while leaving them reaching for a tissue repeatedly. As to the other part of Raina's love triangle...Levi's addiction to alcohol takes center stage in this story as it's become an all-consuming habit for him. It's taken over his life, taken the love of his life, and turned him into someone very hard to love. He's angry, verbally abusive at times, and doesn't hesitate to lash out when feeling hurt. Despite his hurtful behavior he still can count on his friend Drew to support him. Drew's habit of enabling started in the previous story but comes to an end here though, after seeing how low Levi's fallen. Drew knows he must finally be a real friend to Levi and get him help in the first step to a new life for his friend, a first step towards introspection for Drew too regarding his past actions while dealing with the fallout from the cliffhanger readers are left with here. Another character who left a lasting impression was Raina's friend Mabel...a ball of energy and a strong support to her friend. She helped Raina work through her depression and was there when her friend needed her most...despite some harsh treatment thrown her way. She's the kind of secondary character you'd love to see have a story of her own and I look forward to seeing more of her in the next installment.

On a whole this was a gritty and angsty read, one that you couldn't put down despite how much pain you were feeling. Each character was put through the wringer, tore down before starting to rebuild, with their feelings laid out for all to see. Issues of addiction, the toll it took on the addict and those surrounding the addict, were powerfully depicted and it broke my heart at times as it pushed buttons of my own experiences with an alcoholic parent. Ms. Cole performed a masterful balancing act in presenting an epic love story weighed down by addiction, giving us characters who were perfectly imperfect and who we cared about. From start to finish I was on the edge of my seat, knowing things wouldn't end well, but hoping I was wrong. By the time the cliffhanger arrived I was already an emotional mess, now left waiting with bated breath to see where these characters go from here.

NNOOO!!! Oh my, this is one of the best books that I have ever read and this will stay in you mind forever. This book can have 25 million stars, its freaking fantastic. This book was so great it completely captivated me from the beginning to the end and its very raw, very powerful and heartbreaking and some moments were gut wrenchingly painful. My heart was in a vice all the way through and I couldn't put this book down until id finished from front to back. This series is one of the best I have ever read and you must read book #1 first in the you and Me Series.

Book #1 Lovin' You
Book #2 Ghostin' You

Raina is still feeling very raw inside and cant really motivate herself to do anything really because walking away from him has wrecked her deep inside her soul. All she has in her mind to help her to cope is I did it for him.

Levi is also struggling and everything is falling apart and he is still struggling tremendously will alcoholism. His friends are trying to help but all he can think about is her. As time moves on he is still struggling and when he sees her that night with some one else that's it, he loses it.
Time is moving on slowly and Raina meets Dean, a man that is as good as they come and will do anything for this woman whom he is having very strong feelings for but can Raina really love him back the same way or is she still deep down only in love with the only man to ever really have her? They go on a night together as they have been getting along and this is when everyone's life changes forever. ( NO SPOILERS )

This author has written these characters so good that the reader really feels connected to them and I felt like I was feeling all that they were too. This book will defiantly have you reaching for the tissues in parts and really rooting for all of them to work things out. My emotions were on a roller coaster during this book but I just couldn't put it down, its a complete page turner and this series has been totally hooked. I now what it is like to be around someone who is a alcoholic and the struggles and frustrations that go hand in hand with this and it hurts a lot what everyone goes through and I feel like this author written this fantastic and true. This book ends of a huge cliffhanger and it will leave you screaming at you kindle for book #3 desperately. I highly recommend that you read these books in order.
I need book #3 NOWWWW PLEASE!!!

Book 2 picks up where book one left off after Raina left Levi to "fix" himself without her and in the process breaking both of their hearts. Now she's all emotional and wondering if walking away from Levi was really the right thing to do. Look I get they are young college kids but come on Raina common sense needs to kick in sometime. Leaving and not trying probably not a good idea, jumping into another relationship no matter how awesome Dean is, again probably not a good idea. Now she does try with Dean and she does have feeling for him but she is head over heals in love with Levi so when a tragic accident forces her to chose she breaks yet another heart. I'm really trying with Raina but it's just so hard. Over all though I loved the continuation of this series and am off to book 3 to see if Raina and Levi can over come all the heartache and bad decisions.

Even though it broke her heart Raina didn’t see any other choice but to leave Levi as she couldn’t bear to watch the life changes that he was making. After some time, she moved forward with her life and meets Dean, a sweet and sexy man, but leaving Levi in her past is easier said than done.

Levi’s downward spiral continues but with the help of those closest to him he turns his life around. They went their separate ways but when fate throws them together decisions will be questioned, dormant feelings will resurface and their lives will be turned upside down once again.

This story takes you on an emotional journey that escalates into a jaw-dropping cliffhanger that leaves you wondering what the future has in store for not only Raina and Levi but Dean as well.

Oh my goodness, this is another brilliantly written book by Lyssa, I loved everything about it.

Raina has moved on, she has met someone else, a man who is perfect, he loves her, and she thinks she loves him, but on a night out with Dean she sees Levi, and that night something devastating happens, and it could change the future for them all.

Levi is unaware of what is happening, Dean feels he has already lost her and Raina is in love with them both, but deep down she really only loves one of them with all her heart. The problem is, her mind says one thing and her heart another, one man is good for her and currently one isn’t! Who will she choose?

This finishes on a cliffhanger, so if you don’t like them, wait for book three to be released, or you will be chomping at the bit for the final part!

Ugh This Girl...

In this latest installment of the You and Me series, I wanted to shake Raina and tell her to move on already, but the heart wants what the heart wants. This review may contain spoilers for the first book.

Raina had to make a difficult decision at the end of Lovin' You and we pick up right where they left off. Levi is in bad shape, something Raina tried, but couldn't do much about. He isn't ready to admit to a problem and she didn't want to hang out for his self-destruction, so she left.

Levi is still quite the mess and as hard as it is, Raina is trying to move on with her life. She knows until Levi wants to help himself, there isn't much she can do except miss him. And boy does she. Not wanting to wallow in misery all of the time, Raina gets out a little bit and ends up meeting Dean. This guy is too good to be true and certainly too good of a guy for her with the mindset she's in at the moment. Dean is patient and such a ray of hope for Raina, until the other shoe drops. Then I was really Team Dean all the way.

The book is well written and full of all kinds of irritating twists and turns. A good, angsty irritating as in Raina not doing what I wanted her to do. It seemed to clear to me...I wanted her to choose him. Who knows if she'll listen??? As the blurb says it ends on a cliffhanger and if the books were longer that would irritate me too, however Lyssa Cole is good at getting the next one out right away.

Lyssa Cole has brought us the next piece in Levi and Raina’s story.

This is book two in the series. It can not be read as a stand alone and it does end in a cliff hanger. The third and final book is currently slated to publish in August.

Ms. Cole had left us with a heart wrenching end of Loving You. Ghostin You picks up almost immediately where Loving You leaves off. Raina is home for the summer and is in despair over ending the relationship with Levi. She won’t talk about it to her parents, and even her brother isn’t able to fully pull her out of her depression. As the new school year is approaching, Raina is both dreading it and looking forward to it.

Mabel and Raina remain roomies in this book, but they are renting an apartment instead of dealing with the dorms. Their new digs are a short walk over to Drew and Levi’s place. Mabel is her typical stable and comforting self. She’s found an apartment which offers Raina the ability to people watch, is close to their usual haunts and to school. Mabel is doing everything she can to pull Raina out from her horrible downward spiral.

Raina is trying to reengage with her life while holding out hope that Levi is getting help. Getting better. She tried calling him only once over the summer and was met with anger. She finds herself wandering over to his building one day just to see him. To see for herself how he is. Unfortunately for her, Levi does catch sight of Raina, misinterprets the situation, and verbal shreds her heart.
At that, Raina leaves. Broken and convinced that Levi no longer loves her.

Raina spends much of this novel grappling with depression and second guessing her actions, her feelings and her decisions. She knows that Levi has a serious problem. She knows he needs help. She firmly believes that he needs to do this on his own so that he can come back to her whole and healthy.

As with the first book in this series, Ms. Cole writes a heart wrenching, raw, and accurate depiction of a couple just over the line of adulthood struggling with some of life’s biggest issues. The mental spin and spiral that Raina is in grips you, and is brutally accurate for someone in depression.

Levi’s addiction is handled just as rawly. Peeling away any trace of romanticism one could have about rockstars and over indulgence. Ms. Cole writes an unfiltered character who is abusing alcohol to hide from the pain in his life.

Also staring in this novel is Drew. Levi’s childhood best friend and bandmate. Drew walks an incredibly thin line between assisting Levi in his addiction in order to get Levi to function and perform, and being a true concerned friend who sees his friend in pain. While Drew’s actions aren’t always driven from Levi’s best interest, he does have his friend at heart.

The story travels along Raina meeting someone new whom she ever so slowly opens her heart to. Dean quickly falls for the beautiful beaten girl. We learn that Dean is a master at both musical production as well as trying to fix people. It’s hard to know if the reader is supposed to be supporting Dean or Levi in Raina’s life. Dean’s part is written so seamlessly and openly. You feel that this relationship is going to end hard, fast, and brutally for someone... but I can’t tell yet if it will be Dean or Raina who will be the victim.

There is a quick glimpse of hope for our new triangle as Levi is finally forced into rehab and Drew supports him post discharge. Things are hard and it’s a struggle, but Levi is working at it.

Then, it all explodes.

All I can say from this point on in the book is, you will need tissues. The utter pain and emotional destruction, loss, hope, friendship, despair, and road one can travel on when a loved one is ill pours out at the readers feet. Raina is left a shell of herself with her stubborn core torn as to what she should do.

Mabel shows herself to be the most forgiving and supportive of friends. She keeps Raina away from truly falling off an emotional cliff.

Drew and Dean?? The gents are stripped to their souls and it is brutal. Each have struggles and revelations to overcome and work through.

Once again Ms. Cole writes a stark, emotional, gripping story of love and the angst of battling internal demons. She writes of such heavy topics being lived through and dealt with at such a young age, but with such maturity. She brings her characters to the very ground but still manages to treat them with respect and dignity.

This story will leave you emotional, breathless, and yet fearfully hopeful at the end.....because the right way forward is the very opposite of clear. These characters are so irrevocably intertwined that I am anxious to see how Ms. Cole resolves life for them all.

This is such a raw, rich read. I highly recommend this series.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.

OMG, what a cliffhanger! GHOSTIN’ YOU (#2 in the You and Me Series) is an emotional rollercoaster as we ride every high and hit the withdrawal symptoms that the character endures. This book was heart-wrenching in its emotional angst, highs and lows of the three main characters’ struggles as they help each other try to get what they each need. This book was flawlessly and poignantly written about Levi and Raina’s love story—emotional and exhilarating—this book is best read with tissues nearby. Lyssa Cole is an amazing storyteller. She makes me laugh and cry, often times in the same sentence; and the way she develops her characters and tells their story, it captivated me from the start. I enjoyed the way the characters’ roles changed as the story progressed. I fell head over heels for Levi and Raina, and I have no doubt you will too. Addiction is a powerful disease in our society that people battle daily. I enjoyed reading how Lyssa Cole brought the darkness of addiction to the forefront and didn’t shy away from showing how bad things end up when a person becomes addicted and the painful choices you have to face. Everything was so good at first for Raina and Levi—they were so right for each other—they were combustible—they were true soulmates—their battle of wits is tremendously fun—acerbic and sexy and filled with tension, but despite the tumultuous events that brought Levi and Raina together, Raina believed she had found her happily-ever-after with Levi. But life managed to tear them apart, and Levi shattered Raina’s heart in a million little pieces in the process. Levi and Raina’s relationship certainly wasn’t an easy one between addiction issues, family drama, and the band. Then, Raina abruptly stops seeing Levi because of his addiction. Levi has been in a bad place for awhile, but in order to stay in the band, he’s gotta go to rehab, stay clean and keep it together. But now, what Raina didn’t expect was to fall in love with two men. Both Dean and Raina have preconceived notions of the other, but they find they have more in common than they expect. In spite of Dean and Raina’s relationship, I am still rooting for Levi and Raina!! Who will you root for? Not to give any spoilers away, but I wasn't expecting the turn this story took; it has quite an unexpected revelation that may leave you flabbergasted—it is jaw-dropping good! What happens next? Well, read this amazing story and find out! You won’t regret it! This was a well written story that hooked me from the start. Lyssa Cole delivered a powerful, addictive, intriguing, emotional, and all-consuming story that left me obsessed and yearning for more. I HIGHLY recommend this book, and I can’t wait to read the next book.

THE REVIEW FOR THE BOOK GHOSTING YOU BY LYSSA COLE

GENRE:CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE.
AUTHOR:LYSSA COLE
TYPE: BOOK #3 OF YOU AND ME SERIES.
POV: MULTIPLE POV...FIRST PERSON.
MY RATING: 5 STARS.

This is the second installation in you and me series.
The book starts where it left off...
After breaking up with Levi... Raina has not only broke his heart but hers too. After so many heartbreaking months apart from each other, she finally moves on. She met Dean when she was at the lowest. he makes her feel good, loves her nad is just too good to be true. But after confrontation from the past, Raine finds her in the same path she was a few months ago. Will she get over the clutches of her past or will she lose her future for it??

His words haunt me, breaking my heart over and over again. How many times can one heartbreak? Will, it ever stop?

When I started book #2 I knew this was going to be a rough ride just by the cliffhanger of the last book. I could feel the heartbreaks and choices of the main protagonist. This story was downright and close to realistic. Levi made some huge mistakes and is trying to redeem himself. But maybe he is too late.
When I thought of the character of Dean, I thought, yeah just a rebound character but no he was the perfect human being if ever. I am so in love with Dean. He knew his girlfriend is in love with someone else but still he chooses to support her and fall in love with her.

Maybe one day, she’ll choose me. When she realizes you can’t help those who don’t help themselves.

For me, the love triangle provides the most angst in the story..and this was the epitome of the angsty story...

It’s all a mess. It’s all fucked up, yet I find myself returning to the two men in my life. The two men I can’t picture not having.

waiting for book #3!!!
Will she choose Dean or Levi???

In Ghostin' You we rejoin Levi and Raina and are once again pulled right back into their dramatic and turbulent love affair. After Levi develops a problem with alcohol he starts to spiral out of control and become someone Raina doesn't know or want to be around. He is struggling to focus on what is important, his music and the band, so she decides to leave the relationship in hopes it will help him refocus on what is important. But all it does is start Levi down a destructive path, one that leads him to rehab.

His undoing breaks Raina's heart and makes her feel like maybe her choice was not a good one. But things are too far out of control for her to try and fix what she broke. So she tries her best to move on, but her heart is broken and she feels like part of her life is missing. Then she meets Dean, and he becomes the someone she needs to lean on, confide in, and help distract her from the haunting memories of her lost love. He is the man she should want, the man she should have a future with... but it's hard to spend forever with someone, when someone else holds part of your heart. Dean says he understands, and it crushes her that she can't give all of herself to him... but she is trying. But will it ever be enough?

This trio of characters and all they are dealing with will break your heart, while it's easy to see Raina and Levi had something special, it is hard to believe they will ever have it again with the way things are now between them. Raina broke a part in him and herself that may never be mended. Then Dean comes along and suddenly you start to think he is perfect for her too, but she struggles to let go Levi and give herself fully to Dean... I am dying to see how this one plays out. Both of these men mean so much to her for so many reasons, but she can only choose one. This one is an emotional roller coaster ride that will leave your heart and mind in shambles... I have been thinking of these three all day now, and I just can't let them go. They burrowed themselves deep into my heart and thoughts and I am praying there is some peace lying ahead for them. I cannot wait to see what happens!! Highly recommend!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "GHOSTING YOU" OMG!!!! This story will take you on quite the emotional traumatic journey full of heartache, confusion, guilt, sadness, broken hearts, drama, alcoholism, angst, regret, twists that you never saw coming.
Raina is reeling from the heartache after leaving Levi because of his constant drinking not wanting to get help thinking he has everything under control, he needs to concentrate on his career she just a distraction to him and his band.
Raina runs into Levi before going back to NYU he tells her he doesn't love her anymore she left him he doesn't want to see again devasted she tells her BF Megan who only wants to help her after leaving her in the cafe crying she meets a guy name Dean Maloney.
This story has so much going on you can't believe all the messy situations their dealing with reading it was draining imagining going through all feelings of guilt, grief, regret, stress it's just mindblowing.
I defintely recommend to get this book you won't be able to out down until finished reading the characters are awesome, captivating, engaging and pull you right into all the drama Dean makes Raina feel like they could have a future where Levi the one who has her heart could destroy them.
The ending is a cliffhanger leading to the next book "FOREVER YOU" this absolutely a must have book so well wtitten and defintely well worth the read so much happens it's a page turner from beginning to end. PHENOMINAL READ!!!!

Ghostin' You is the continuing story about the heartbreak that takes place after Raina leaves Levi. Levi is spiraling out of control with his drinking and is getting worse now that Raina has left him. With the help of his friends he enters rehab to get his life on track and win Raina back. This is an emotional story that will pull at your heart and keep you on edge as you follow the pain and destruction these two are going through as each wants to forget the person that destroyed them, but they can't as the memories of the love they have for each other is too strong to forget. Now they will soon be reunited one again, but not without problems. Rania meets Dean who is someone she can count on, wipes away her tears, listens to her and is just the right person for her, but can she give her heart to him fully when Levi is still apart of her life? Even though Dean says he understands it hurts Raina that she can't commit to him. The journey these three will embark on is full of pain, heartbreak with twists and turns throughout this story. Who will Raina choose in the end the bad boy or the one person who just might be the better man for her? We will have to wait for the next installment to find out what happens to this trio. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Thank you Lyssa Cole, you have once again taken your readers on an emotional roller coaster ride with Ghostin' You.

There are two different things that the second book can be, 1. it's a tad slower or 2. it's even bigger than the first, and Ghostin' You is definitely in the #2 category. Before I go on, this is Book 2 of the You and Me series, so you HAVE TO READ Lovin' You (Book 1) FIRST!   Levi is struggling so much, and while his friends are trying to help him but he's only focused on Raina, who had to walk away from him.  It broke her heart badly but it needed to be done.  However, as time has moved on, she meets Dean, a man who is what the doctor ordered, so they start on a journey, and just when everything is going fantastic, BAM!  It all hits the fan, leaving them & me destroyed in the process.  Plus it all leads to a huge cliffy that has me dying inside since Lyssa Cole has completely wrecked me. I'm also confused, feeling the pain of alcoholism as she definitely wrote it very realistically, and just need the next book desperately!  So hit those one click buttons to experience it for yourselves as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Wow - just - Wow!! Walking away from Levi was the hardest thing Raina has to do, but she cannot continue to live with a man who is so dependent on alcohol. But she never thought that is would break her heart to the point where she thinks she will never recover. Levi is also crushed and in his normal fashion hits the bottle harder and harder to the point where his band has had enough. Just when they both feel they have started to live again a chance sighting across a crowded ball room throws them both for a loop. What happens next had me screaming at my kindle. You will just have to read it to understand. Highly emotional and at times too much to bear this was a fabulous read. With each turn of the page the reader becomes more invested in the relationship. They can fell the heartbreak and they can feel the pain. Lyssa Cole has completely captivated me with this book and proves that she is an author that must not be missed. i need the next installment of the series ASAP.

** i didn’t spoil the read but some of this might tell you a bit of the storyline so don’t read unless you’ve read the book**

Ummmm well wow! I certainly wasn’t expecting the way the story was heading but holy cow is it a juicy, sad, some parts sweet and loving and nuts overall drama to the extreme. Raina with her tough love could it of backfired or not?Dean oh wow I want one like him. So sweet and understanding his family background wasn’t so peaches and cream so i hope he gets a HEA or his own series. Levi some parts of me want to see him fight his demons and get a HEA and re create a great bond with drew and some parts of me say f him he had his chance. At one part i thought ooh a poly relationship between them all?!?!?? It really is such a tear jerker but in a good way meaning great story! I can’t wait for the 3rd book!!!! Awesome series.

When I read Lovin' You back in May, I fell in love and had my emotions toyed with. Well Ms. Cole held onto those emotions and continued to toy with them in book 2. There is so much angst in this, I had my heart in my throat for about 80% of this book. This book also brings Dean into Reina's orbit. He was such a contrast to Levi.

Honestly I can't say more without spoiling this and book 1 (this can't be read as a standalone, this is a true sequel) but I went on an even rockier journey with Levi and Reina and I'm ready to go further. I can't wait until August.

Thanks to Wildfire marketing for allowing my to review an advance copy of this and for allowing me the opportunity to leave an unbiased review.

Ghostin’ You by Lyssa Cole is a new adult college music romance, is the second book in the You and Me series and is told from multiple POVs.

After finishing book one I just knew I needed to start this book straight away; I needed to know what happened next!

In book one we experience the high and the downfall of Levi and Raina’s relationship. In this book we get a front row seat the continued downward spiral of Levi’s self destructive behaviour and addiction, the internal struggle of Raina of being lost and confused, and the emergence of a new character - Dean 😍.

I enjoyed this book just as much as the first. It was as fast pace and as angsty only this time it had a little bit of unrequited love and a bit of a love triangle thrown into it. And although I want more than anything for Levi and Raina to have their happy ending, I want Dean to somehow get his as well.

I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a quick and entertaining read.

Please note: This book does end on a cliffhanger and book one needs to be read first in order to understand the storyline.

“How much pain can one heart stand? If it never lessens, never goes away, will I ever be the same? Or am I forever changed? Is that what love does? It consumes and destroys? It haunts you, following around your every move until you want to scream?”

Battered, bruised hearts are left unguarded from lives tragedies. Knowing what has to be done and what you want to do are very different and can tear tender hearts apart. Once you’ve given your heart to someone, you can’t give it to another unless you took it back. Herein lies Raina’s problem, she wants Levi to wake up and get the help he needs. However, it has to be his choice and Levi is left with a shredded heart and feels like Raina deserted him. When it’s least expected Dean swoops in and dries Raina’s tears. Will Raina find peace and happiness with Dean or be tormented by Levi’s actions?

This is the 2nd book in this amazing series. Raina is a lost soul who is conflicted between Levi and the new man in her life Dean, who has a heart of gold and he loves her for who she is. On a night out with Dean, Raina runs into Levi and even knowing he is not the best for he with his self-destructive and addiction habits, she starts to question herself and her decisions. Even knowing that Dean is perfect for her, and Levi is not, Raina has a conundrum on her hands. Who will she choose? This is another beautifully written tale, which is and emotional roller coaster, and is filled with angst, emotion, heartbreak, and love. I cannot wait to read the next book in this phenomenal series, and I highly recommend for all.

Book two of the You and Me series destroyed me in the best way possible. This book had everything I look for, drama angst and emotion mixed with love and enough heat to start a fire. With the introduction of Dean Lyssa definately threw a spanner in the storyline. I found myself falling for him so easily and then felt like I was cheating on Levi. Rai goes through so much in this book you really feel for her because sometimes the hard decisions are the right ones for your own happiness. Juse when I think everything is going the way I wanted plot twist and epic cliffhanger. I need the next one ASAP.

This story picks up where book one left off and as much as I enjoyed it I’m anxious to read the next one cause of the new character brought in, Dean. Oh how I love this man but I’m certain things probably won’t bode for him in the next book so I’m hoping he will be horrible next book (but it’s doubtful) lol. Raina is in so much pain leaving Levi but she couldn’t bear watching him self destruct anymore so thought she needed to move on, enter Dean! My heart broke for Levi and his addiction and didn’t like Raina self doubting her previous decision but the love she has for Levi is so strong she can’t help her heart. Can’t wait to see what happens in the next one. Team Dean all the way though!!

It’s taken me a few days to recover from reading this book. I knew it was going to be more intense than the first book in the series. Geez! My heart was all over the place.
My heart broke, dropped and semi recovered. But Lyssa did warn us.

In this book you get to read how Levi’s actions caused him to loose the one person he’s loved. I’m hoping he can get out of the situation he’s in. And back into her arms again.

Raina is still heartbroken over Levi and trying hard to get over her decision when dean comes into her life. And make things more complicated.

I’m rooting for Levi and Raina, but then again Dean doesn’t seem to be the one to give up on something he wants.
Hopefully in the third book we get more on Dean’s background. I read an arc for an honest review.

Intense tear-jerker!!

Get the box of tissues!!

Part 2 is intense and very emotional.

Both Levi and Raina are hurting! Levi refuses to believe he has an alcohol addiction and refuses to admit he still loves Raina. His downward spiral is heartbreaking.

Raina loves Levi without a doubt. She is deeply affected by her own decision to leave him.

After meeting Dean, she now has to decide whether she really loves him or if her love for Levi is greater! Addiction and depression are real!

Lyssa Cole does a great job with these characters and the story.

Reasons I enjoyed this book:

Haunting, Page-turner, Realistic, Tear-jerker, Unpredictable, Wonderful characters

I knew after reading Loving You the first book in the You and Me series that book 2 was going to be rough..I wasn't wrong. This book picks up where book 1 left off as Rai and Levi are both still dealing with their choices in life as they've separated. Rai is feeling lost and is making bad decisions until she meets Dean who has a heart of gold and is the opposite of Levi.
Levi is drowning more and more into the bottom of a bottle and sometimes they have to hit bottom before they can climb their way out, so I'm wondering what will it take to wake him up. This book will grab you by the heartstrings and twist, so you best have the tissues.
