Christopher Jamieson’s specific interests in the Islamic State is not explained in the article below. IRA graffiti was also found, so he is apparently just a lover of violence. It was reported at the end of May that he faced firearm charges after “he allegedly fired shots.” He was subsequently charged with “five offences, including reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unsafe storage and two counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited from doing so.”
Noteworthy in the article by the local publication “The Guardian,” however, is this: “Jihad is interpreted by some as a holy war waged on behalf of Islam as a religious duty.” It is not “interpreted by some as a holy war.” This is the fantasy pushed by many of the politically correct. In reality, jihad is a duty — explicit in black and white — prescribed in the Quran and Hadith. Muslims have a duty to wage war against disbelievers. Jihad is also the highest calling in Islam (see Sahih Bukhari Book 52, No 44 and Book 52, No 54). It is also routinely preached by an unknown but troubling number of Islamic scholars globally. Normative Islam is a religion of conquest, and has not changed its goal of conquest in 1,400 years.
In 2017, Canada’s intelligence agency CSIS admited that dozens of known jihadis were walking free, and authorities won’t charge them. But these were only the known jihadists; there are certainly others who are inspired by the Islamic State and other jihadist organizations. Nor does this include Muslim Brotherhood organizations and those who support them. Leaked intelligence documents also showed a much greater threat of Islamic terror than the Canadian government has admitted.
“P.E.I. police seized numerous firearms from cabin with ISIS graffiti,” by Jim Day, The Guardian (Canada), July 1, 2020:
A Kings County man who pleaded guilty Tuesday to various weapons charges had ISIS graffiti in his cabin.
Christopher Jamieson, 37, pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm while prohibited, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and unsafe storage of a firearm. He appeared in provincial court in Charlottetown by video link from jail.
The charges stem from an incident on May 22 when RCMP officers from Queens and Kings districts, along with the police dog service and a drone officer, responded to a report of shots fired in the St. Marys Road area.
The firearms prohibitions relate to convictions in Grand Falls and Woodstock in New Brunswick. Jamieson has lived in P.E.I. for the past three years.
Crown attorney Nathan Beck told the court Tuesday that police seized seven long-barrel firearms along with a pellet pistol, an antique pistol and several rounds of ammunition. Fifty spent rounds were found around the property.
Four of the seven long-barrel guns were seized from Jamieson’s cabin, located on the property of his father.
All the weapons belonged to the father, who is not facing any charges.
Beck said Jamieson was living in a cabin that had no running water or electricity. When police searched the cabin, they discovered ISIS and IRA graffiti with references to jihad and World War 3.

“Jihad is holy fighting in Allah’s Cause with full force of numbers and weaponry. It is given the utmost importance in Islam and is one of its pillars. By Jihad Islam is established, Allah’s Word is made superior (which means only Allah has the right to be worshiped), and Islam is propagated. By abandoning Jihad Islam is destroyed and Muslims fall into an inferior position; their honor is lost, their lands are stolen, their rule and authority vanish. Jihad is an obligatory duty in Islam on every Muslim. He who tries to escape from this duty (of jihad), or does not fulfill this duty, dies as a hypocrite.”

Given the information in this article it isn’t clear who or what this guy is.
Just playing devils advocate for a moment.
I live in a country area.
I have books on terrorism, all they way from the Boer war, the IRA, the PLO through to Islam and IS.
I also have a lot of firearms and ammunition.
Doe this then make me a terrorist? Or someone with an interest in hunting and history.
I’m not saying this individual isn’t a potential jihadi, lets just see what info comes out about this before making a judgement.
One of the ways that terrorism works is by getting the people to second guess everything. So in this case jumping to conclusions would be what the Islamist want.

Could be, Keith–but probably not…

“Since lawful warfare is essentially Jihad, and since its aim is that religion is entirely for Allah and the word of Allah is uppermost, therefore, according to all Muslims, those who stand in the way of this aim must be fought.”

Jihad brings the greatest rewards from Allah, thus it is the highest deed in Islam.
From the words of Mohammed:
Bukhari:V4B52N44 “A man came to Allah’s Apostle and said, ‘Instruct me as to such a deed as equals Jihad in reward.’ He replied, ‘I do not find such a deed.'”
Bukhari:V1B2N25 “Allah’s Apostle was asked, ‘What is the best deed?’ He replied, ‘To believe in Allah and His Apostle Muhammad.’ The questioner then asked, ‘What is the next best in goodness?’ He replied, ‘To participate in Jihad, religious fighting in Allah’s Cause.'”

Just being a good Muslim. Glad he was caught.

Jamieson is not psychotic. Psychotics have no need of political philosophy to feel encouraged to kill others, just a voice in their head that no one else can hear. Sociopaths need some external support, no matter how sick and twisted, so they can feel proud of themselves. What better, i.e. more sick and twisted, apparatus than Islam?

It’s OK. As long as he’s an islamist terrorist he’ll be found mentally disturbed and released.
