I am impress with Beautiful Criminal. The attraction is too quick and instant. There is almost none background or premesis to explain.
Just 2 sworn enemies fall in love suddenly without having shown any romantic feeling. Miss Forgy does not invest much on the character development.

When Leona Bravado finds out she is supposed to marry her family’s enemies son she flees. Wouldn’t you? Keiran DeAngelo, the son of the DeAngelo family may not want to be married but he will find her and bring her back. Two families at war but who can win? This is a mafia enemies to lovers with a few twists that keep you reading. An enjoyable weekend read that ends in a sort of cliffhanger so be ready. Each book will be a new couple from the same world. I loved how strong Leona is and her instant chemistry with Keiran. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book. Told in dual POV

Beautiful Criminal kicks off a new series by M.N. Forgy called Omerta Law. Mafia romances are my jam so y'all know I jumped on this one!
Kieran was raised knowing he would be the underboss for his father. It was inevitable. Leona's father is gone and she is now expected to lead the Bravado family, but she wants nothing to do with the mafia life. One event causes Kieran and Leona's lives to collide and set a chain of events into motion that neither is prepared for.
Kieran is your typical playboy-he has expensive clothes, cars, and lifestyles-and treats women as disposable. He is an entitled jerk; but, that does fit in with his character. After all, he is a beautiful criminal. Leona has lived a very privileged life and while she knows she is expected to rise up and lead the Bravado family, she does not want any part of it. It's much easier to like Leona as a character-she is smart, sensible, and tougher than she looks.
These two are certainly the star crossed lovers (its ironic that Kieran's brother's name is Romeo) caught in a family war that was on before they were born. Kieran knows he has finally found a woman worth fighting for, but she isn't going to give in to his good looks so easily. Beautiful Criminal delivers the angst you expect from a mafia story! I think because I really didn't like Kieran, I struggled with the story, but that doesn't really mean other readers will feel that way!

Beautiful criminal is the first book of the Omerta series by the best selling author M.N. forgy. Told in dual perspectives, this was one of the best Mafia Romance books I have ever read. I couldn't even think of giving it less than 5/5 stars!!
I have read many books by this author and just like all of her work, Beautiful Criminal was on hell of a rise full of twists and turns that kept me at the edge of my seat throughout the whole book.
Keiran was the son of the DeAngelo family. From the age of 10 , his father had started moulding him into shape to take the throne when he grew of age. Leona was the princess of the Bravados family. Unliker Keiran , she had a gentle childhood. Her father truly loved her and she was cared for. That was until one day her father disappeared without a trace. That was the day little Leona learned the harsh lessons of life.
After a lot of years , now both Leona and Keiran are grown up. The Bravados and DeAngelo family had been enemies from long before either of them were born. Things were going smooth until one day Leona came face to face with Keiran while he was on a task. Both of them recognised each other but before they could react in any way , they had to leave.
Now Leona was a witness for one of Keiran's tasks. To say Keiran's father was unhappy would be an understatement. To end up the long feud between the families , Keiran's father decided to marry Keiran to Leona. Leona was shit scared of marrying Keiran. She took an impulsive decision to run away. From there began a game of running and chasing.
The ending of this book was far from amazing!! Even though the story for Leona and Keiran is over , there are still a lot of questions unanswered. I can't wait for the next book in this series!! Can't even wait to find out whose book it will be!! M.N. Forgy has done an amazing job of twisting up words to give one hell of a mafia Romance!
This book is recommended to all the hardcore mafia lovers , who love cold heroes and heroines with a bit of darkness in them too!!

I was so excited to see that this author had a new series coming out, I wasn’t disappointed as Beautiful Criminal was so so good.
Kieran and Leona has given us a story like no other. I read this in one sitting as I couldn’t put it down.
This author is epic with her MC stories and she’s just as good with mafia. Can’t wait to read more of this series.

Holy crap what a way to start a series. The twists and turns in this story, the lies, betrayals, secrets, and the ending!?!?! Yes, just yes. M.N. Forgy did such a great job giving us a story about two people who didn't want what is planned of them but the chemistry is undeniable. The more time they spend together, the more they learn of each other, the more they may learn to trust one another, just makes this a story that I couldn't get enough of. Yes this book has a cliffy but oh what a cliffy. Just when you think there couldn't be anymore curveballs...BOOM. The life of being in the mafia is definitely not one that is without its surprises that is for sure.
Hearts will be broken, lies will be told, there will be backstabbing, gun fire, blood, sex, love and more. Hold onto your seats because this series is sure to take us on a wild ride! Can't wait for the next!!!

Ok start needs more of what I call "The Forgy Touch"
So for a Mafia book this was really on the light side. It also seemed more of just a love story and not much Mafia until 70%.
I will look forward to Leona and Kieran ruling together. Towards the end, she gave this book some nice twists, I'm looking forward to see how it all works out.
**** The Forgy Touch means more darkness and action. Hope the 2nd book will have more of both!

This was a great enemies-to-lovers romance.

Kieran DeAngelo and Leona Bravado are heirs to two rival mafia families. Kieran is a cold machine of a man who is his father’s son. Leona is a young woman who refuses to take over the helm of the ‘family business’ since her father’s disappearance 15 years earlier. When they are ensnared in the machinations of others, they find themselves alone in a secluded cabin, where their passionate enmity evolves into a passionate attraction.
“He’s the darkness, and I’m the light. Either one of us can’t exist without the other.”
I was pretty caught up in this story that had lots of twists and turns. It was hard to know who Kieran and Leona could trust, but I thrilled at the chemistry that flared up between them. Their relationship was prickly and filled with sexual tension, but it was also quite sweet at times as they started to build something between them. I was puzzled by how Leona’s family could have carried on without the head of the family present, without anyone trying to wrest control from Leona and her mother. I also didn’t really understand how she thought running away could really solve her problems. However, I was content to brush aside my questions as the revelations near the end were worth it and I really enjoyed Kieran’s shocking decision. I’m looking forward to the next book!

So full disclosure this is my first read from M.N. Forgy... I know I know I'm an idiot 🤦 and I have some serious binge reading to do... Don't judge me! Beautiful Criminal was SO GOOD! Ya'll seriously; I could not put this book down!

Many errors, rushed, and I got a bit of whiplash from how fast they went from hating each other to being in love. I should give it only 1 star, but I'm a sucker for mob stories and the hero sounded hot.. 🤷🏻♀️

I’ve only read one book by this author and it was a collaboration with other authors so she had a freestanding book and I absolutely loved it so I figured I would give this a try also and I was blown away!! This story was intense, engaging and addictive. She kept me glued to my Kindle with all the twists and turns wanting to know what happens next. It is an exciting mafia romance with elements of enemies to lovers thrown in. Kieran and Lenora are heirs to rival mafia families and that is where the difficulty begins. Can they put all the duplicity, lies, secrets and betrayals from their families behind them? I can’t wait for the next installment of this highly addictive series!

Hot dang, this story really was a great mafia read. It had that feeling, you know the one? It is a cross because old school mafia movies and new age action/ I loved the characters, world building and the balance of action and dialogue. I found myself really invested in the characters arc and hoping that the outcome of the story lived up to the feelings I had for the characters (it did). The author did a great job of creating a new and fresh mafia world with interesting characters. I cannot wait to read what is next in this world. I received an ARC and am leaving an honest review.

I enjoyed this story quite a lot. It’s my first book by the author and it won’t be the last for sure.
If you like mafia romance this book is definitely for you.
What I liked more was that it’s not your typical dark romance where there’s a lot of violence but it actually puts the spot on the couple and their journey to find that happily ever after.

I devoured this book. It was one that once I started, I did not want to stop.
Kieran DeAngelo was brought up to be the monster that he is today. At a very young age, he wanted to be the boss, to be the one in charge, so he became what he needed to be to one day take over. Growing up in the life of an Omerta made him become a particular type of person, with a particular set of rules. But when his life plans are thrown a curveball, all bets are off. Kieran is cold and all business, with a need to please his father even though their relationship is complicated. But there is this little itty-bitty softness to his hard shell.
Leona Bravado grew up a mafia princess, not really taking her rightful place and living just on the inside of a bubble of her own making. Being in the wrong place, at the wrong time, leads to one rollercoaster she never saw coming. I enjoyed Leona's character, she is learning to find her voice and backbone.
The DeAngelo's and the Bravado's are sworn enemies but throw in a twist of fate and a little Romeo and Juliet and we have our selves the making of series I cannot wait for more of. The overall story is far from over. There is a war coming and even those on the "same side" are not in it together. There is a lot of work to be done, trust to form, and perhaps a few heads to roll. The seeds of this story have been placed and there are a million ways it can all go down. I loved that there were pieces that took me by surprise and made this story feel fresh. I am dying to know who's book will be next as there are so many possibilities, but regardless I am all in.

Despite her big heart, she was the opposite of a simpering heroine. She gave as good as she got.
Sure a lot of it was posturing but we all know "fake it till you make it" is more than just words
Kieran wants you to believe he is a heartless brute.
And he is- when it is necessary
But when you place a piece of his own heart in his hands to protect?
There is nothing he wouldn't do to ensure its safety.
Whatever it takes to brings its light to the darkest corners of his soul.
The way the author brought these two together - one of the smoothest transitions - these two complimented each other perfectly. Even as quickly as the capitulation occurred it was believable. I could feel the bond building between them.
I'm not giving away the twists - because WOW!
I went from "awww, be still my heart" one moment
To edge of my seat "oh God no!"
In the blink of an eye
And it's just beginning!
I am looking forward to what happens next
The copy I read was an ARC copy
I expect a little editing to be needed here and there and normally dismiss the errors knowing they will be corrected before publication.

The first book in a new mafia series from one of my favourite authors. I loved this twisted tale of two families at war and the children who are left to deal with the fallout. Keiran DeAngelo has been raised to be ruthless soldier by his father. When he is told by his father he needs to marry Leona Bravado his enemy he doesn't question it so when she runs he goes to bring her back. I really enjoyed all the twists in the story they kept me guessing. Keiran is definately a product of his upbringing his personality is dark and i really enjoyed when he goes full out mafia killer with no conscience. I liked Leona she may have been struggling under family expectations but her inner strength shines. The story is told from both perspectives and although is fast paced it was easy to follow. I would call this a HFN because after that ending and the decisions made I know this is just the beginning for these families and I have a feeling it is going to be bloody and brutal.

Keiran is the underboss of the deangelo Family, we are shown from an early age, keiran is exposed to the nitty gritty of mafia and he does accept his position in this violent life; whereas protecting his brother as much as he can.
Leona is the heir to Bratva circuit and she is reluctant to be a boss, a gentle soul with a backbone of a queen.
These two are thrown in a game of chase when everyone decides to unite the families & it begins!! the whole read was full of twists and packed with nice momentum.
it was an easy read and the fast paced kept me engaged to the last page.

Leona is the heir to Bratva circuit and she is reluctant to be a boss, a gentle soul with a backbone of a queen.
These two are thrown in a game of chase when everyone decides to unite the families & it begins!! the whole read was full of twists and packed with nice momentum.
it was an easy read and the fast paced kept me engaged to the last page.
A book for mafia lovers and arranged marriage.

The author starts our story in an interesting way so don't be one that skips over things in order to start the tale.
Kieran DeAngelo works in the family business. He certainly lives in an interesting family dynamic. Leona Bravado wants a better life. She's part of a family where the women are strong.
I never could figure out why our characters had to tell me what they are wearing. These two helped me to finally figure it out. It's a way for a reader to understand more about who these people are. Just like our own style gives people around us some idea of who we are. It's something we can see and it's part of develops our first impression.
You know how good an author is when she writes a serious scene and somewhere in there you let out a chuckle. It's interesting to see how she creates an alpha tough guy slowly turn into an old softy - sh, don't tell him I said that. It wasn't something that happened overnight and it was fun to watch.
Our author knows just the right moment that she needs to grab the reader's attention. Once she has it, she's not going to let go until the very end. She also creates some mystery/suspense that may have you saying "what is going on?" and "what have you done?" But I'm left with no answers to these questions. Will have to wait and see if the next book will at least answer one of them.

I love mafia romance books; I think it’s my most read genre! Since I’m such a lover, I couldn’t pass this book, even though I haven’t read anything from the author before. The book was really good, and I enjoyed the story very much. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series!

Since her father gone missing, the family wanted her to rule, but she never truly risen to her position. The DeAngelos and the Bravados have been enemies for years, so when an arranged marriage between them is proposed, she runs!
This two have undeniable chemistry. Leona may not be fully involved with the business, but there is some darkness inside her. A darkness that Kieran recognize and wants to possess. Kieran is cold with most people, but even him can’t resist Leona’s pull.

This book was everything I love in Mafia romance, but I do love how the Hero wasn’t as detached to the heroine right away. I love how how Kieran even though he leads such a heartless life, he still wanted for Leona to fall in love with him. As soon as the opportunity arose for him to be able to marry her, he wanted her. He claimed her as his.
Their chemistry is electric and soft. They go from heated moments to very intimate moments. I do adore how much they tried to protect each other. Leona wasn’t your typical mob princess, she was the queen. She was trying to escape that live, but craved it too.
Kieran is a freakin dream and the amount of sacrifice he does just to prove that he loves and has his queens back, UGHHHH LOVE!

The first book in M.N. Forgy's new mafia series and it was so good!
I've loved all of this authors MC books so when i saw she was coming out with a mafia book i knew i had to jump on board.
It starts off with you guessing, you see Kieran at a young age and then when he is a man. A made man.
I really liked Kieran, i loved how you get to see him change as a character the more he's with Leona. I also loved how protective he was of her.
Leona i liked, she wasn't what i thought she'd be at first. I liked how she shows she isn't someone to be messed with but also has this other side of her that not many see.
I'm looking forward to seeing who's book is next.

Yes, on the fence again. I guess I end up here because on the majority I enjoyed the book but there are little issues here and there. It started off very well and in fact, there is no closure of the prologue but maybe in future books? There were some inconsistencies- where Kieran believes he has a case against his dad but ends up leaving their mob. The mafia background wasn’t as dark as I’ve seen. The romance was a little on the fast side! Ok real fast!
I don’t understand the benign group of mafia how do they exist? How does the business of mafia-nessment work when you decide not to run it? To me I feel the other mob would take over regardless...that part of the plot was most difficult to understand. I don’t think I’ll continue with the series.🙃

As someone who is obsessed with Mafia, I was blown away by Beautiful Criminal. This book pulled me in from start to finish. Kiernan delivered the perfect amount of alpha, which made me swoon. I love the passion between him and Leona. And Leona is no shrinking violet. That in turn makes the chemistry between her and Kiernan DeAngelo even more palpable. The push and pull between those two, combined with the twist and turns throughout their journey together, makes for one h*ll of a story. I can’t wait to read what M.N Forgy has for us next!

These two are explosive together and I love How feisty Leona is. What a great start to a series and I can’t wait where we go next.

5 MY BEAUTIFUL CRIMINAL STARS!! Fantastic Start to this new series!! I read this book straight through....I was hooked from the first page. This book had it all from the feels to the sexiness, hot mafia guys and a beautiful tough woman. I can't wait for the next book....I know who I want it to be. You must read this book.

Good read
This was a great story, it started out so well. Well written, with a decent plot. What didn't work for me was the MFC, who started out confident and feisty to then submit almost straight away to her arch enemy. It just took away the angst and suspense in the story.
