She could be the end of me

BULL
I lost my wife on a rainy night almost two decades ago.
Since then, my heart has been a barren wasteland.
It only knows love for family and the club.
And for revenge.
Then I meet Taylor and I know I’m doomed.
Because she’s everything I didn’t know I wanted.
Everything I’ve denied myself for years.
But my club is about to storm headfirst into a war and I can’t afford the distraction.
Yet I can’t get her out of my head.
We both say we’re not interested.
But we are both liars.

TAYLOR
For years we’ve been running from my past.
My kid brother and me.
Hiding in the shadows.
Now we have a chance for a new life in a new town … far, far away from trouble.
I crave freedom and a quiet, simple life for us both.
The last thing I expect is to fall for the enigmatic biker king, Michael “Bull” Western.
He is magnificent.
White-hot and scorching.
With the touch of an angel and eyes of the devil.
He could be the love of my life.
But I have a secret.
A very big secret indeed …

"Bull" is the sixth book in the "Kings of Mayhem MC" series and even though I have enjoyed them all, this one was definitely my favorite. I knew it was gonna happen ever since I was introduced to "Bull", president of the Kings of Mayhem, in the first book. He has intrigued me from the beginning and he sure as hell did not disappoint!!

Now for those of you wanting to read this one, I strongly advise reading the other books in this series as well. Though each book does focus on a different couple, there is an ongoing storyline running in the background. No worries though, they are all deliciously Alpha, and even though I am claiming "Bull" for myself... you guys can have all the others :P

Those of you who have already started this series know that Bull has suffered great loss in his past. His MC family is what pulled him through and it is what he lives for now. He isn't looking for a relationship or for love. That doesn't mean it won't come and bite him in the ass though :P

Taylor was absolutely awesome and perfect for Bull and the MC in every way. She was, smart, tough as nails, funny as hell but also very caring and sweet. I think I had a bit of a girl crush ;)

These two set the sheets on fire, and even though neither of them was looking... they found love anyways.

If you are an MC fan, you should definitely give this series a go.

Bull was a action packed, intense, sexy and heartfelt romance that you had no choice but to fall in love with. Some of these characters went through hell in their time and did things their own way but what I really admired and we saw the core of, was the meaning of family. This love ran so deep and you not only saw it, you FELT it.

Being the president of one of the most notorious MC’S and running your crew like a well oiled machine isn’t easy but when you have a band of friends that are practically your brothers, it’s certainly easier. Still reeling from a tragedy that happened to him more than a decade ago, Bull is determined to continue to put his club first and make sure that the rest of his family is happy and safe. His personal life on the other hand can continue the way it’s been going with meaningless flings and not crossing into a territory that requires him giving more of himself. That part of his life is over and he has no intention to go back to a place that has the power to hurt him. But one chance encounter with the new woman in town is going to change everything for the man who’s intent on keeping his heart locked in a steel cage.

Taylor has had her fair share of tragedy in her life and she wants nothing more than to stop looking over shoulder and start a new life with her little brother. Now in a new town and endless possibilities, Taylor is determined to make her new life a success. Running into the president of a MC and having sparks fly when you’re trying to navigate that same new life? Things are about to get really interesting in this small town.

Without having read the previous books in this series about the other characters, I didn’t even miss a beat when I jumped on this one. I felt like I knew everyone and seeing that this was such a close knit group, I’m happy that the author was able to portray this in a way that you felt the love and understood the bond. These characters had their own flaws don’t get wrong and I wanted to see some things go in a different direction but for an overall good enjoyable MC romance? This is going down as one of my favorites of the year. If you’re new to this author, I strongly suggest you give her a chance and try this one.

dnf - Not a heroine I personally like because I’m a hypocrite so I’m out :)
__________________________

Edit #2: Book release pushed from June to August.

Edit: Blurb no longer says “the love of my life” rather “my wife”

Interested to read about Bull but dead spouses is a trope I HATE as heroine usually comes off as second best. It seemed like from the previous book Bull and his deceased wife had a great relationship, she was pregnant with his child, the blurb states “I lost the love of my life..” Shouldn’t that be the heroine in a romance book? Already seems like she’s second best.

Not sure if I will read this.

Bull is book 6 in the Kings of Mayhem MC series and I loved it from beginning to end. While I only read book 5 in this series, I felt the author does a great job at writing these books as standalones. Now to be honest I didn't love book 5, I thought it was enjoyable but felt something was missing. What I knew without a doubt was that I was crazy about Bull and knew I would read his book when it was released. I'm so happy that it didn't disappoint, Bull and Taylor were fantastic together. Their chemistry was off the charts and they were a perfect match. Bull has been carrying around guilt due to the death of his new wife and unborn daughter 20 years earlier so he built walls around his heart and nobody was ever able to get through until Taylor. Taylor is on the run with her younger brother. We know she's running from someone and through flashbacks I started to get a picture in my head but when the truth was actually reveled I was shocked. The HEA was perfect.

The six books in The Kings of Mayhem series by Penny Dee are about finding the right person to walk the road of life together. Yet they are also about so much more.

The first two books focus on the same couple and the rest follow a different couple each. In each book, there is a very capable and independent damsel in distress and a formidable knight on a shiny motorcycle coming to her aid despite having to deal with his own problems. Going through personal hell and finding one’s happily ever after is one part of each story, another one is being a member of a loving, loyal and supportive family, related by either blood or choice.

Each book is full of action, suspense, steamy scenes, humor, and occasional twists that you do not see coming. Each also explores other themes, e.g. forgiving a betrayal, or moving on with one’s life after losing a loved one. It was an enjoyable read, great plots and great character developments. Grandma Cybil (appearing throughout the series) and her shenanigans are hilarious. One drawback for me was the too frequent and too explicit descriptions of protagonists jumping each other’s bones. And the proofreader’s job not very well done detracts somewhat from the author’s beautiful flowing style.

I was given this book for an honest review.

This was book 6 in "The Kings of Mayhem" series. Michael "Bull" Western is President of the club he has been through a lot and done a lot for the club and his family they mean a lot to him and he will do anything to protect both. Bull is looking for revenge against the man that went after his niece Chastity. This was a really good read. While riding his bike when he sees some boys picking on another boy he stops to help when he meets the boys sister it's just at first sight. Taylor is having a bad day her boss at the sleazy bar that she works at tries to blackmail her into having sex with him so she quits she was late picking up her brother and when she gets there he is with Bull the King of the MC. Bull has closed his heart off to relationships after the death of his wife and unborn child when they died in a car accident 20 years ago. Taylor is on the run with her little brother Noah who is deaf. Taylor gets a job at the clubhouse as a bartender and things began to get hot. There was a lot going on in this book with the club looking for Gimmal the man who was trying to run drugs through Destiny turns out he also had another bad habit. When Noah is taken we find out who Taylor really is. This book had some really hot sex scenes. This book had sex, action and a lot of hot bikers and there Queens.
This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. If you like reading about hot bikers and the women that take them then this series is for you. I think this maybe the last book in the series and this book wrapped everything up nicely.

4.5 stars---BULL is the sixth ( and final?) instalment in Penny Dee’s contemporary, adult KINGS OF MAYHEM MC erotic, MC romance series focusing on the members of the Kings of Mayhem MC . This is club president Michael ‘Bull’ Western, and bartender/waitress Taylor’s story line. BULL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line content, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Bull and Taylor) using present day and memories from the past, BULL follows the building relationship between Kings of Mayhem club president Michael ‘Bull’ Western, and bartender/waitress Taylor. Eighteen years earlier Michael Western lost his wife to a motor vehicle accident and in the ensuing years struggled to move forward. Meeting Taylor, a single mother to her younger brother Noah gave Bull pause as to a possible future when he offered our heroine a job serving drinks at the Kings of Mayhem clubhouse but like Bull, Taylor has secrets that continue to haunt her days and nights, and it is these secrets that are going to affect her relationship with Bull, going forward. As Bull and the MC hunt for a drug lord/ child trafficker, Taylor quickly discovers that falling for Bull could be the biggest mistake of her life. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Bull and Taylor, and the potential fall-out as Taylor’s past demands reparations starting with our story line hero.

The relationship between Taylor and Bull is one of immediate attraction but Bull doesn’t do relationships, and Taylor isn’t into one-night stands but the longer Taylor works for the Kings of Mayhem MC, the closer she and Bull are developing a long term relationship that everyone sees but our leading couple. The $ex scenes are erotic, passionate and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, familiar and energetic secondary and supporting characters including all of the previous story line couples and additional members of the MC, as well as Sheriff Buckman. We are introduced to Taylor’s brother Noah, her neighbor and Vietnam vet Gino Piccoli, and bartenders Cherry and Randy. The requisite evil has many faces including Gimmel Martel and Taylor’s godfather Alex.

BULL is an intriguing, exciting and imaginative story line; raw, gritty yet sexy tale of one man’s battle with memories from the past, and one woman’s need to escape her own. The premise is spicy, edgy and dramatic; the characters are flirty ,wounded and broken; the romance is spirited, impassioned and seductive.

I am not sure if this is the final instalment in the current series arc but the two epilogues lead me to believe the author may have plans for the next generation of Kings of Mayhem MC.

President of the club gets his story.
At the start we learn of Bull's tragic past.
An opening scene early on of him leaving the bed of a woman he is seeing for sex.
There is other woman drama in form of club girls but Bull doesn't get involved with any of them.
The heroine's past is revealed throughout the story in form of flashbacks and nightmares.
The heroine's past drama was a bit OTT for me.
Once they meet neither is interested or with anyone else.
HEA.
Secondary characters introduced for future books in series and previous characters appear living their HEA.

My first Penny Dee read and it will not be the last. I read this as a stand alone and it worked well but will definitely go back and start at the beginning of the series as it was so good. It’s an age gap romance, MC setting, action, emotional, sexy and not too much angst. Really liked the main characters in this one, just a great read.

Bull by Penny Dee

This is the sixth and final book of the authors Kings of Mayhem MC series. While I'm sad to see the end she does leave a hint for the new series with the Tennessee Kings of Mayhem MC series. But Bull was well worth the wait trust me on this as well as Taylor.

Bull is intense, action packed from beginning to end with his back story and loss of his wife and unborn baby almost 20 years ago he has resigned himself to never finding love again. He has his hands full being president of the Kings but when he meets Taylor and her brother Noah who's deaf sparks will fly and he'll do anything to protect her from bullies and her enemies.

Taylor hopes to start a new life but when her sleazy boss wants more than her her usual job she's fired and needs a job quickly. When Bull offers her a job at the clubhouse can she finally have the new life she wants desperately? But when she's taken by the person Bull has been searching for hurting his niece Chasity will the Kings MC be able to find her in time?

As I have read the previous books in this series, I have to admit I was always intrigued by the fearsome president, Bull Western. I knew he suffered the loss of his wife and unborn child, but reading what happened this time around slayed me. My heart absolutely broke for this man, and that he’s been punishing himself and suffering for almost twenty years now...devastating.
The man has sworn off all relationships other than casual sex, until Taylor. The feisty woman that put him in his place. Now, I have to admit I kinda had a crush on Taylor. She is the perfect woman for Bull. She’s one of the strongest females I’ve read, but I have to admit I didn’t expect all that I found out.

This latest installment in the Kings of Mayhem is so worth the read. It’s action packed, full of life, living, love, and so much steaminess. Bull and Taylor have so much chemistry it will scorch the pages of your kindle. Loved it!

You guys better buckle up before you start this book because it is action packed and intense. You are going to all head over heels in love with this book. I know that I picked it up, lost hours of my day and didn't put it down until I was done. This is not a book that is all hearts and flowers either. There are some things that nightmares are made of that these characters go though. But I will say too that this book has the feel of the importance of family all the way through it. Bull has lost his wife and has been torn up over that tragedy for more years than he can count. However in that decade the club has become so important to him and he is determined to put the club first and make sure that the family he has left are safe happy and comfortable. He is not not expecting the chance meeting of the new woman in town and that meeting results in something he never expected. Taylor is the girl who is going to change this man forever. She is running and has secrets but she is also with her brother and her family is super important to her. Taylor is going to do everything she can to make sure that she and her brother make a life for themselves. But when she meets Bull the sparks are flying of the chemistry is off the charts. I don't want to give anymore of this book away. I loved it and could not put it down. It has been a good while since I have read a MC romance and I'm glad it was this one I picked up. You do not want to miss Bull.

Bull by Penny Dee was a great MC romance with a big twist at the end. I really enjoyed this book, I just had a couple issues with the length and pacing. Bull is a widow, and has been single and drowning in guilt for almost 20 years since his wife died. He is the president of the Kings of Mayhem MC and is lonely after watching his family all couple up. Taylor is on the run with her younger brother Noah, escaping from a bad past. She ends up in Destiny, and meets Bull. From the moment they first see each other, there is an attraction. Taylor ends up working for Bull as a bartender at the clubhouse. She wants to keep her work life and private life separated, but she's slowly giving in to Bull's advances. There are bigger forces at play, however, and Taylor's past will eventually catch up to her. Bull and the Kings of Mayhem are also out to get revenge on a man named Gimmel.

I really liked Taylor and Bull. They had amazing chemistry and some super steamy scenes. This was a little bit of a slow burn because Taylor fights Bull's advances and her attraction to him for a while. I really liked Noah and his relationship with the MC. I had an issue with how he was only mentioned or even in certain scenes to advance the plot, however. I wanted him to be featured more, especially because Taylor was supposed to be so protective of him. He was only mentioned or talked about when it suited the author's needs. I also had an issue with the length of the book. This was a long novel, and I felt that it didn't need to be as long. There were a number of snippets of daily life that could've been cut. The flashbacks were pretty spread out as well. With the flashbacks, I wish Taylor's age had been stated because they were confusing chronologically. I liked seeing all of the other members of the MC. This is book 6, and the other couples from the previous books were all in this one. I liked Bull. He was definitely a sweetheart and he wasn't a big alpha biker, which I'm not sure if that was the intention or not. He was great and I really liked him overall. I definitely flew through this book, and the last 80% had so much action. All of the secrecy and the conflicts build up to those last few moments, and I thought there were some interesting plot twists. I recommend this book, it was a great and entertaining read.

This book was recommended to me by someone and man I was so glad I read it. I was hooked and literally finished it in one sitting😊
Bull is the President of the Kings of Mayhem MC and he lost his wife in a tragic accident and he felt like his life was ending. Now he lives only for his club, his nieces and nephews and hookups. Until the day he helps a little boy with some bullies. And then he meets the little boys sister, Taylor and he was smitten.

Taylor was not having a good time. Taking care of her little brother and she just got fired from her job and then meeting a Biker who she didn't have time for in her life even though she is most definitely attracted to him. But when Bull offers her a job she knows they have to keep their feelings aside as she can't afford to get involved with him. And with the secrets she's hiding being in a relationship with a Biker was not good. Not to mention all the issues Bull himself has with taking down an enemy of the club this is not what they need right now. But love will always find a way, won't it😕

Like I said hooked from start to finish. And when the secrets start coming out you will not believe what just happened. I fell inlove with Bull from the start and the more the story unfolded the more I wanted him to have his happily ever after. Taylor was in a terrible predicament, between a rock and a hard place. My heart broke for her and what she was going through. I am so going back and starting this series from the start. The side characters really had me curious to their stories. Thanks Shauna for the rec definitely a freaking awesome read 😍😍💖💖

Bull has been there and watched everyone fall in love and deal with the problems that have popped up. As a president he has never truly made question him. He is fair in his judgement and that all we known about him until now.

Bull lost his wife mere months after he married her and hasn’t moved on fully. He has thrown himself into the club and hasn’t regret the choice he has made. It meant no personal life and has moved from one woman to another not willing to take time and find someone to give what he deserves.

He thinks he is past the age but never say never after Rugger’s story. Anything is possible and when a new woman in town pushes him into thinking about finding out whether there is a chance to have it all. Taylor like many of the other women in this series has a past that has changed them. Taylor is moving on not looking behind her back but looking towards the future.

However this plan has other ideas and means crashing into Bull. Both of them affected by that encounter and she slowly is pulled into Bulls life it means confronting their pasts. Dee’s latest instalment seems to mean everything comes full circle. So it will be interesting to see where Dee goes next as I love this series and her brand of MC

Amount of sex 3.5 / 5
How explicit is the sex scenes 4 / 5
Story 5 / 5
Overall: 5 / 5

It’s so fabulous to be back with the Kings of Mayhem MC! I’ve absolutely loved all of the books in the series, but I’ve been dying to read Bull’s story! Bull is the sixth book in the series, and even though each book tells a different couple’s story, I recommend reading the series from the beginning. There’s a background storyline that’s told throughout, and it finally comes to an end!

Now, I love all the sexy alpha bikers in Mayhem, but Bull is just my favorite. His story is sad, and it’s caused him to be more guarded. He loves his niece, nephews, as well as their families, but you can see how lonely he’s starting to get. When he first meets Taylor, I was so happy to see the spark begin to come back. She also has a difficult past, and it’s also caused her to be protective and strong.

Bull and Taylor have great chemistry, and I adored how their relationship progressed. Oh, and they’re just so dang hot! Although, that twist nearly did me in! Those last couple of chapters had me holding my heart! Gah, I seriously couldn’t turn the pages fast enough!

Bull is, without a doubt, my favorite in the series, and I recommend adding it to your TBR list!!

For the finale of Kings of Mayhem we get the Prez, Bull. He has been living with misplaced guilt from his wife's tragic death for the last 20 years. Because of his guilt he will not commit his heart to anyone but his brothers. But when he runs into Taylor he can't seem to stay away from her. Taylor comes into town to run away from her demons and to give her little brother a better life, a chance for normalcy. Taylor doesn't have time to fall for Bull nor can she, since he is her boss now. She needs this job to help her brother. But neither one of them can deny their attraction so they agree to no strings fling (yeah right).

Bull is my favorite of the Kings. I adored every second of Bull and Taylor. I loved their push and pull. Loved their banter and their tension was off the charts. So freaking good. I saw the twist coming from a mile a way but I still loved it so much and I was still on the edge of my seat the whole time. I am sad that this series is over but it ended on a perfect note and had a satisfying epilogue. Adored this series and I will definitely be re-reading the entire series.

This is my favorite in the series!!! Bull is a hardened man. I mean come on how can you be the president of a MC and not be a little hardened. He has experienced a great loss and has come to terms with the fact the a HEA is not in his future.... Or is it??? Yes it is true Bull has lost the woman he thought was the love of his life. He made a vow to never fall in love and to keep everything casual with any partner he has. Taylor is a young woman who carries the weight of the world on her shoulders. She is raising her younger brother Noah and is running from something. She is strong, sassy, and refuses to be a welcome mat for anyone.
As this story unfolds we not only get Bull's heartbreaking story, but we get Taylor's as well. Now I am not one that usually likes to read flashbacks, but there is a way to do it that keeps you interested in the story and Penny Dee does just that with their backstories. Now what would an MC story be without a little bit of suspense and mystery? We get a little bit of both within the pages of this book. I will say the little twist that Penny throws in threw me for a loop. I was not expecting that at all.
The story is well written and flows really well. I highly recommend this book, hell I recommend the whole series. Especially if you love alpha possessive men who will do anything for the woman in their life!

Bull was Amazing! I loved the storyline, it was well written and flowed perfectly. One genre that I love is a good MC book and this is by far one of my favorite MC series.

The characters were perfect for each other, the spark was there from the beginning. I loved everything about Bull; the stubborn and sweet personality…and those eyes. After getting to know Bull’s tragic history, that will made me feel like I was there feeling all of the feels along with them. I loved Taylor’s feistiness. The one and only thing or person she cared for was her little brother and no one messes with him or they have to answer to her.

Bull is the Sixth book in the Kings of Mayhem MC series and this one is my favorite. Penny Dee really knows how to make me feel like I am right there living it all with the characters.

WOW, this book right here is just another reason why I fell in love with Penny's talent and this series. I am a huge fan of MC books and this one had it all. The sexy alpha MC man, angst, suspense, mystery, intrigue, heartbreak, deceit, secrets, lies, love, sex and so much more. You will not be able to put this book down.

Bull is such a hard ass but underneath all the layers of alpha hardness is a man who is full of guilt and doesn't want to open himself up to anyone again for that reason. He doesn't think he deserves the happy ending, the family, the love. Taylor is a take no shit kind of girl. She has been dealt a hard hand in life and is trying to do what is best for her little brother. She isn't looking for love but there is something about Bull that makes him hard to resist.

Definitely a book to check out and the series is off the charts. I love it!!

Bull is a story that starts with tragedy but ends so perfectly. But the twists and turns and unexpected revelations are what really kept me hooked on this book. So many things I didn't see coming or guessed wrong about. But it was all written so well that it was good surprises.

I absolutely loved that the leading lady wasn't exactly what she seemed. She was probably my favorite part of the story. And her relationship with and loyalty to her little brother was heart warming.

I've been following this MC series from the beginning. And I've really enjoyed it. This ending was exactly what the series needed. After this I wouldn't hesitate to pick up the next Penny Dee book.

Book 6 finally gives us Bull's story, the president gets his HEA or does he? After a heartbreak and resolve to never have someone, Bull meets Taylor. Younger and feisty, she gives Bull a run for his money but their chemistry is off the charts. But just as Bull thinks he might have found happiness, Taylor's secrets threaten to destroy them. An age-gap, MC, second chance after heart break romance. Stand alone but intertwined with the series for background and character cast. An all around great read.

I absolutely loved this book. Couldn't put it down. Lots of emotions with twist and turns. Loved Bull and Taylor together. I thought both had interesting backgrounds. Loved the MC club business in the book and how all the different characters from past books were in this one. The story was so good and different from any other MC book I've read in the past. Besides romance this had a really good story to it. Felt so heartbroken for Bull and just really loved his character. I thought that Taylor was sent to Destiny to go after Bull as I was getting more involved with her story reading her flashbacks about her past life, but it was still a shock to me. The Epilogue makes me think that this is the last book in the series because it was a 10 years later epilogue and gave you a little update on past characters lives. If that is the case, I'm really sorry to see this series end, but I always believe that you should go out a winner and this book definitely was a winner!

I think this one was my least favorite.... thing is I don't think the author originally planned for the series to end with who the bad guy was. There wasn't a single sign that it could be this way.... she was scared to death.

Now if you go back to the beginning and the very end after said bad was discovered it was really good. This is Bulls, the club President, and the new girl in town Taylor who is raising her younger brother..... I think there's a spin off series so might have to check it out.

I’ve been waiting for the story since the series started, and the author does not disappoint with this one!!! Bull is the president of The Kings of Mayhem MC and I have been desperate for more of his past. He comes across as heartless but digging deeper if I did that he has a heart of gold if you just care to look. Taylor is a mystery but with the snippet sprinkled throughout the story we get a better picture of why she is the way she is. Will Taylor be able to open Bull’s heart to love again? I love this author and the and unexpected twists and turns going on with the MC. The story like the previous ones in the series kept me glued to my Kindle and on the edge of my seat throughout.
