“Love cannot live where there is no trust.” — Edith Hamilton

I’m just a simple girl from a poor background, who loves with all her heart and has the best of intentions. Falling in love with Cash Delacorte was never a life goal. The former gang leader turned ruthless billionaire holds all of my power. He owns me—body, soul, and bank account.

The problem? I like it. I crave his touch in the dark of night. I long to hear his whispered dirty words in my ear when we make love. Most of all, I trust him to do what’s right for me. Because that’s what we do when we’re in love, right? We trust the wrong people. We make bad decisions. And we sacrifice our souls to make them happy.

Now, with the FBI breathing down our necks and a million dollars in stolen jewels on the line, the power rests in my hands. One word from me can bring Cash’s empire crashing down around him. Does he trust me enough to save us both or will his need for power ruin the only love I’ve ever known?

I liked the Hero better than in the first book!

In Absolute Power, though I liked the story, I didn’t really think the Hero, Cash Delacorte was a very nice guy. His actions surprised me and I didn’t understand them. In this book he changes his tune and is a much nicer guy, especially to the heroine, Jagger Jones.

In this book, Cash is generous and even sweet for such a rough guy. He is helpful to Jagger and is totally enamored with her throughout the book. He takes her out, he holds her hand, he wants to protect her and he knows that he really likes her and isn’t at all afraid to show it, even to his friends and others. The previous book did talk about how Jagger’s sister Callie used to date Cash and they were jewelry thieves. Apparently he wasn’t a very good guy at that time and has since changed due to his feelings for Jagger.

One thing I didn’t like was the fact that Jagger goes from Jewelry designer and store owner to Jewel thief and then all the sudden in the middle of the second book she admits that though she likes men, she is attracted to women also. It just seems a bit odd and late in the game to admit to being bisexual. Also I just didn’t want her to be a thief. I guess I like respectable heroines much more than law breakers. Though I don’t mind if the Hero works outside the law.

The supporting characters were good in this book and added to the plot lines. Especially Jagger’s best friend Em and Cash’s best friend and business partner Gage. Gage even dresses Jagger’s chihuahua Lucy in a frilly pink sweater and carries her around at one point. Jagger’s sister Callie even makes a few appearances in this book. The romance between Cash and Jagger was hot but not super steamy. I would give it a heat index of three flames out of five 🔥🔥🔥! Overall the book was good but not great. Though that may have just been me, since I had trouble getting in to the story.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Absolute Trust
Absolute Power Duet #2
By: Jeana E. Mann

REVIEW ☆☆☆☆

Absolute Trust is the second half of Cash and Jagger's story. They had trouble enough, but the FBI are now in the mix. Is Jagger a pawn or does Cash genuinely care about her? I still didn't love Cash, but he was more tolerable than in the first book. Jagger is so out of her depth, with the wrong guy and should probably walk away on more than one occasion. I guess tension and heat are stronger than common sense. I understand why Cash and Jagger share this emotional and physical bond, but will it lead them in the wrong direction? This story is thrilling and full of action and excitement. There are twists and turns that thicken the plot nicely. Jeana E. Mann has written another entertaining story with unforgettable characters. I recommend this book for fans everywhere!

A great end to Cash and Jagger. I definitely fell in love with Cash in this one because he showed this gentler, sweet and romantic side of him, but only to Jagger. He no longer wants to do only business with her, but also to have a serious relationship with her. He do and give everything for her. He always protect her even when he's not there with her, she would always remain protected.

I loved the book and highly recommend reading it. And I hope there's Em and Gage's story next!

3.5⭐️

I'm a fan of Jeana Mann. The Royal Arrangement was my first ARC and read from her. The Pretty Broken series was addicting as well.

I'm writing this review for the whole duet as one book is pretty short to write about.

The blurb was intriguing that's why I signed up for this one.

This duet is an amalgam of mafia romance, enemies to lovers, boss-employee and in love with your sister's ex-boyfriend.

It was a slow-burn for me even though their relationship developed fast. It wasn't as gripping as I thought it would be and I didn't really connect with any of the characters, but it's probably just me...

Jagger and Cash are about to have the ride of their lives. Things are going to get twisty as surprises lie in wait for them. Will they make it through to the other side?

I gotta tell ya, I did not like Cash in Absolute Power, but in Absolute Trust I warmed a lot to him. He didn't change a ton per se, he just softened a tad as he fell in love and finally admitted his feelings. Jagger is about the same but as before, I liked her. I didn't particularly like some of the things she (and Cash) did, but as a whole, I think she was a great heroine, probably too good for Cash even. But really the star of this story is the sizzling chemistry between Cash and Jagger. They practically smoldered together, even before they admitted their feelings, even before I decided I liked Cash, his chemistry with Jagger was the best part of his character.

Lots of action happens, things are revealed, and Jagger and Cash's chemistry heat up the streets. All in all, an exciting, suspenseful duet.

Jeana E. Mann brings more sexy passion and action packed goodness in Absolute Trust. Jagger and Cash ' s twisted, unlikely yet written in stars kind of love story will keep you glued to the pages.

Jagger shouldn't trust Cash Delacorte at all. After all the man threatened her, blackmailed her and made her life a living hell. But he wants her in a different way. Jagger cannot deny the changes in Cash. He is becoming more attentive, softer and more caring. But Cash lives a dangerous life and his past may be catching up with him. Just like Jagger's. Can they defy all odds and find happily ever after.

I loved Cash even more in this book. Because I got to see the almost sweet side of this possessive, dominating and arrogant man. He is Danger with capital D. But when it comes to Jagger, he is ready to do anything to ensure her safety and happiness. Jagger rightly had trust issues as everyone keeps on warning her against Cash. Her best friend Emeline or her long lost sister Callipope. But she has a darkness of her own that thrives on living on the edge. They always had this explosive chemistry but their feelings became one in this story. The plot is filled with twists and turns. And you will almost feel either of them will lose the battle. But they didn't and I am so relieved.

Absolute Trust is a perfect and delicious balance of steamy, filthy, swoonworthy and adrenaline filled drama. It has everything for everyone. If you love dark romance with a brilliant antihero and sassy heroine, this is your kind of poison.

Absolute Trust (Absolute Power Duet#2) by Jeana Mann. Jagger now has to deal with the FBI. They want Cash and are willing to go through her to get to him. Jagger has a decision to make. She doesn't want to get in trouble or cause Cash to get into any either. Cutting ties with Cash would make the most sense but he makes her feel things she hasn't never felt. He brings excitement and validation to her life which she likes and is missing. The sexual tension between the two is another aspect of their relationship that has enough spice that Jagger and Cash want to throw caution to the wind and see where their relationship will go. From the beginning of this story I was hoping for a happily ever after for them. The conclusion of their story was a journey I loved going on. Not only do they have to deal with the FBI but people from their past. The ending was something I definitely wasn't expecting. I am really looking forward to a book regarding Cash's partner in crime and best friend Gage. 4.5 stars for me. This story was over way to soon. And if you haven't read the original books from this spin off do so. Not necessary. They are really good reads.

Absolute Trust was a good ending to the Absolute Power Duet and answered all the of the questions from the first book that I hoped it would! I loved the passion between the characters, it was quite a steamy read with an action packed story line. Cash is quite the anti-hero, and that is like my catnip even though it takes me a little longer to warm up to Jagger.

All in all, this book has your questions answered and you get some super steamy scenes. If you add in an intriguing story and some AWESOME secondary characters, you have yourself an entertaining duet! I give this 4 outta 5 and enjoyed reading it!

Okay so i had to finish this duet because i wanted to see where it would lead. I liked that it picked up right where the first one left off.

I feel like Cash definitely changed a bit which was a good thing.

There is definitely some drama and things get a bit crazy and it’s full of some action!

I feel like Cash and Jagger’s relationship grew and it was definitely a step up from the first book!

The conclusion was not bad but there was so many things coming out between Cash and Jagger. One thing for sure he was different with her and she had her moments that I was like just walk away. His best friend and her best friend added some excitement to the story. One thing you do realize in this book is that these two would go above and beyond for each other.

Steamy And Suspenseful! Cash And Jagger’s Duet Ends As Outside Forces Close In On The Couple.

This is the second book in the Absolute Power duet which is Cash and Jagger’s story. It is a spin-off of the stand-alone novel The Ruthless Knight. It is not necessary to have read that book first.

From The Ruthless Knight:

Calliope Jones, twenty-eight, escaped a horrible childhood only to discover the man that saved her was no hero. Abandoned by her father and left to be raised by a mother constantly in and out of rehab for a heroin addiction, Calliope was often left with the various men who came and went in her mother's life. She was molested, forced into dancing at strip clubs, and finally prostitution. When Cash found her, she thought she found a savior in him. They dated for years and he taught her how to run cons, but she eventually realized he used her the same way she had been used before. She wants out, but he claims she owes him and won't let go. Silently plotting her escape for a decade, she only needs the right opportunity to present itself to steal away and disappear from his wrath.

Roman Menshikov’s Masquerade de Marquis at his London club is her chance out. Things go awry first when Jagger, her twenty-two year old sister who is supposed to be waiting in their hotel room, talks her way into participating on the job. The sisters had been separated in their youth when their grandmother kicked Calliope out of her home along with their drug-addicted mother, but the sisters had since reunited. Calliope desperately wants to keep Jag away from her criminal life, but Jagger appears to be a natural so she gives in it at the last minute. Athena, Cash’s current squeeze, is part of the team but she isn’t a team player. Calliope and Jagger manage to escape, then Calliope leaves her sister at Heathrow Airport with instructions for beginning a new life and a key to a safe deposit box. She regrets abandoning her sister, but separating is the safest option.

Months into her new life as a bartender in Cleveland, Calliope notices a suspicious man lingering as closing approaches. She is too well-trained to panic, but she knows her cover is blown. Outsmarted, she finds herself held captive not by Cash, but by Mr. Big, as she had called him, from her last job at the London location of Devil's Playground. The two have incredible chemistry, which is unfortunate given the circumstances. When Sir Nikolay Reznik Tarnovsky takes Calliope to certain death at Valentina's hands as punishment for a job she participated in years earlier, he feels sorry for her. But Nicky’s family has been threatened and he has no choice. Although he delivers as required, Valentina is not finished with him yet. She sets about a twisted game of torture with Nicky and Calliope. Months later Cash happens upon the couple as they dine at one of Nicky’s restaurants in Manhattan. He wants the money that Calliope owes him, but Nicky makes it clear that she is off limits before having Cash escorted out.

From Absolute Power (book one of the duet):

Cash Delacorte is charming, cunning, terrifying, and merciless. He makes people disappear and he runs cons – mostly cash and jewel thefts. He owns the people that work for him. He does a favor, comes on nice, but soon his targets find themselves indebted with no way out. Calliope had been indebted to him, but she walked away after a dozen years, and she owes him. He wants revenge. Payback. Unfortunately, she is untouchable. But when her younger sister Jagger comes on his radar, all is fair game.

Jagger Jones, twenty-six, hasn’t seen her sister since separating with her at Heathrow Airport four year ago. She feels abandoned, but she understands why Calliope keeps her distance. Jagger moved around a bit over the years and finally made a friend in Emeline – her coworker, roommate, and trusted friend for two years. She went through a particularly difficult time with Kyle, an ex that roughed her up, but with Emeline’s support she weathered it. She made a home for herself in Baxter’s Corner, Indiana. Once settled, she used her sister’s money to buy a modest home and a small part of Mercer’s Fine Jewelry and Art Gallery, the shop in which she works. Mr. Mercer, and older man without family, had become a father figure to her. He also taught her about jewelry. But Jagger had gotten complacent about her situation when she decided to earn some extra cash on the side.

When Cash walks into Jagger’s life demanding his money, Jagger doesn’t consider calling Calliope. She had spent too much time trying to get away from him. And besides, it was Jagger herself who spent the money – she just hadn’t realized that it belonged to Cash. Despite the fear he triggers, Jagger cannot help but feel attracted to Cash, and he seems to feel the same about her.

In Absolute Trust (book two of the duet):

Cash, thirty-eight, is determined to keep Jagger in his life. He already sees his future tied to hers, but understanding what that means is another story. Sorting that out and making it work is complicated. He runs a criminal organization, and a certain lifestyle goes along with it. It also means that he has enemies. Moreover, Gage, his childhood best friend and partner in crime, has misgivings about the relationship. And then there is Calliope’s surprise visit. She believes that he is the same man that wouldn’t let her freely walk away all those years. A manipulating and controlling monster. She is concerned about Jagger. This forces him to dig deep and reexamine himself, and Callie’s warning about the FBI closing in adds to the impetus for real change in his life.

Jagger, twenty-six, considers agreeing to be Cash’s girlfriend. She knows that is a step that he won’t take lightly. Little by little, he shows her another side of himself. She is attracted to the dark side – the cold and ruthless monster that showed up at her shop demanding payment. But Cash begins to show her glimpses of a softer side as well. He is capable of kindness to her and generosity to those she loves. She decides to go with her heart, but that decision makes her more vulnerable. She is more involved in his business now, and as a result she comes face to face with Athena again. Four years earlier Athena had put a gun to her head. But Athena is a valued member of the organization, so Jagger is expected to get along with her. Calliope calls after years of silence, hoping to convince Jagger to leave. And Emeline struggles with Jagger’s choice, causing friction in their friendship. With so many opposed to their happiness, the prospects of a happy ending look dim.

Cash and Jagger’s relationship faces challenges once they finally get together. They mix business and pleasure, which confuses matters. Cash struggles with himself when it comes to Jagger. He wants her, but he has never allowed a woman any element of control in his life before. On a side note, the story of Cash and Gage’s friendship and their history relating to Chelle is touching. It shows a different side of both men and adds to happy ending.

There are a few issues that merit mention. *Spoilers* Cash claims to never have had a real girlfriend before, with the slight exception of Callie, which had been understood to be temporary. He also claims that he is monogamous in a relationship, yet he never offers a distinction between ‘girlfriends’ and ‘relationships.’ Next, although the FBI is closing in on Cash, he is not concerned about having Jagger lay low to avoid being swept up in the melee. Additionally, Em and Jag’s falling out did not feel authentic. Emelie’s overreaction seemed out of character. Finally, the ending fails to take into account Cash’s vision for a happy ending.

Cash and Jagger’s duet ends as outside forces closes in on the couple. Cash enters Jagger’s life looking for revenge but instead finds himself a changed man. Their story is nicely written and plot-driven. The characters are intriguing. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Cash and Jagger. I rate this book four stars.

The first book of this duet was an uncertain like for me, I wasn’t entirely sure how I felt about Cash Delacorte. Jagger was a good girl with dark impulses, she had a kind and generous heart, she was passionate and kinky, and she loved to do cons. Her look of innocence, of the nice girl next door, hiding her mischievous and sassy side, was perfect for keeping Cash on his toes. No wonder he was falling for her.

“What started out as a vendetta against my ex-girlfriend has turned into a fascination with her little sister. Of all the women in the world, why does it have to be Jagger? The more I know about her, the more I want to know. She’s sassy and smart and unapologetic.”

In this book, the author developed the characters much better and I did get a feeling for Cash and liked him. When he was with Calliope, he was a full-fledged criminal. However, he was edging out of that lifestyle, and when he started falling for Jagger, it cemented his decision to go legit. Their problem: the FBI was on his tail, and therefore, Jagger was a person of interest to them.

Emeline, Jagger’s best friend and roomie, also gets involved the way all best friends do, by being nosy and opinionated and stubborn. Mr. Mercer adds a lot of heart to this story and I loved his participation. He and Jagger have a father/daughter relation and he gives her the love and acceptance she never had because she never knew her father. And as she gets closer to Cash and his sidekick Cage, she starts to form a family circle which is completed with her Chihuahua Lucy. I loved the scene where Cage buys Lucy a frilly pink sweater because, as he says: “Cash keeps the air conditioning so damn cold in here. The poor girl was shivering.”

Poor Jagger is taking hits from all sides; her jewelry business that she shares ownership with Mr. Mercer is in shambles, and Mr. Mercer is being discharged from the hospital. The FBI is after her. Emeline doesn’t approve of her relation with Cash. She has a lot of balls in the air and she needs to sort it all out.

There’s a lot of fun times, sexy times, a surprise visit from someone in Jagger’s past, complications from all sides, and suspense because everyone is unsure how it will all end. We all hope that Cash will be able to do away with his illegal business and make a good life with Jagger. Times are tense. There are a lot of elements and people in their life who are making it hard for them. I was feverishly reading, anxious to read how it all ended and was not disappointed in the resolution.

Contrary to the first installment, this time I did see how their love grew and evolved, how they turned their circle of friends and allies into a family circle, and I got invested into their future. It was fun and scary at times, a great thrilling read!

She is the one for him but can he make her believe that

Absolute Trust is the second book in the Absolute Power Duet by Jeana E. Mann. This book continues the story of Cash Delacorte and Jagger Jones and starts where the first book, Absolute Power, ended. The FBI is closing in on Jagger which leaves her wondering exactly how Cash feels about her. Cash on the other hand knows exactly how he feels about Jagger and that she is the one for him. He is looking for a way out of the criminal world that he has been in as he knows he will have to go straight, well maybe with a few bends in there, in order for them to be together. He also needs to figure out how exactly to make her realize she is it for him, his sun and his moon.
Cash and Jagger start to develop a real relationship which includes opening up to each other and learning to put trust in each other and their feelings. This change is over a period of time in the book which was great to read as you could see it happening.
Around Jagger she has assembled a family. There is Mr. Mercer, her business partner in the jewelry store, Gage, Emeline, Cash and of course Lucy.......never work with a dog as they will always steal the show and in this case parts of the book. But not all is rosy in her world as with her growing relationship with Cash Jagger finds herself at odds with Emeline and of course there is the darkness of his criminal world. Will they be able to have their HEA, in whatever form that means to the two of them? Or will the FBI catch up to Cash and by default Jagger?

This may be a duet and the story continues but it is so worth the read. This author is a fantastic writer with a true gift with a pen. She has a way to telling a story that is vivid, detailed, engaging, fascinating and make you feel so much. Her characters are always very interesting with so many layers to them..........they are never what they appear and even when you think you have them nailed they will surprise you. This is another winner for me and congratulations to the Jeana E. Mann. I can't wait to read what she comes up with next!!!

Once I’ve made up my mind, I seldom change it. I want her, and I’ll stop at nothing to get her. The harder she fights, the greater my desire.

Sometimes I have a hard time when reading multiple books in a story. Once I finish the book and time passes, I sometimes am not as entranced by the storyline because there is a bit of a disconnect. This happened a little bit for me with the second book.

”I want to know you’re with me because you want me. Not because I forced you.”
I know this may be strange, but I love the way we saw Cash in the first book. While I was not a fan of how he was treating Jagger, the physical attraction between them was hot! Maybe if we did not see his POV it would have left more of a mystery. He seemed to fall for her pretty fast. On the other hand, we barely knew anything about him besides the little bits we heard of his past. The only thing we got to see was him talking about Jagger so it would have been nice to have a little more depth to his character.

”You’ve been mine since the day I walked into your gallery.”

While this book had its drama, I really wish there were some dramatic event that filled us with fear that the relationship is over. I thought that was going to happen when she was at the park but that kind of fell short for me. I am always impatient when I am waiting for the next book in a series especially when the last one ended with a cliffhanger. While a few things were missing for me I still think this was a good book and duet. These are just personal preferences so do not let it take away how good the book was.

This second half of the duet continues the story of Cash and Jagger. Their romance is the key element but also how Cash is going to evade being caught and convicted by any of the authorities after him.

Cash’s character, while staying true to how he always has been, he does gradually start to change and it is great that we get to know him better in this book. He is still very much the protective alpha ruling things as his way or the highway though he is influenced by Jagger. Jagger is a lot more settled in this book, even though she still battles to trust Cash. We get to know Gage a bit better and I totally loved his character.

Things aren’t always what they seem and just when you think all the pieces of this story puzzle are lining up, more get dropped into the frame. It’s a good thing when things surprise you and aren’t easily predicted.

This is a fast-paced story that is easy to read in one sitting. The whole duet is the same and one I can recommend. It is a fabulous love story with a difference.

“That would be impossible. You have to have a heart before it can be broken.”

Jagger and Cash are back to wrap up their stories. Continuing from the point where the previous book ended, the FBI makes an unexpected visit to Jagger's home and with Cash as a target and their association discovered, she may be more in trouble than she imagined.
Torn between wanting to return the tranquility of her life and embarking on a more mysterious and dangerous world with Cash, she will face great challenges, where friendships will be tested, dangers will arise, enemies will be declared and Cash will be a constant presence, not letting her take him out of her life.
But in a world as dark as his, the chance to have a normal life is practically impossible and to leave everything behind and live in tranquility has its price. Would the two be willing to bear the consequences?
Cash was the big surprise. His affectionate and more human side had already been drawn before, but here we see a different side of him, we find out about his past, about his plans for the future and how complex this character is.
Jagger shows herself to be strong and even in fear, she does not turn away from him. She faces the problems and cling to the chance of happiness that presents itself, however unusual it may be.
Calliope and Nicky makes an appearance, and if I didn't already like her, here I confirm my opinion.
The ending was a little rushed and some ends were loose and did not connect well. I missed some answers or better conclusions.
Dangerous, outlaw, mysterious. Cash Delacorte is worth reading.

Jeana E. Mann brings readers the epic conclusion to Jagger and Cash’s story in Absolute Trust! This cannot be read as a standalone. Their story begins in Absolute Power.

With the FBI closing in, Jagger is left wondering if Cash is just using her or if his feelings are real. She’s also wondering if she can handle how high stakes his world is even if she does love the thrill of the heist. Cash, however, knows Jagger is the one for him and is looking for a way to make her realize she is his world as he also searches for a way to get out of the day to day operations of his role so he can have a chance at forever with Jagger.

Absolute Trust was all about learning to trust and believe in your instincts and your inner circle. I loved watching Cash slowly open up and share his past and feelings with Jagger. And, Jagger having to trust that Cash really cared for her, and not just her skills. Jagger really owns who she is and, once she is in, she is all in. I loved her attitude as she fit herself into Cash’s world. And, on the flipside, I adored watching Cash give in to his feelings and soften up just a bit to fit into Jag’s world.

The side characters in this duet also added so much! Mr. Mercer is a gem! And, Gage and Emaline provide the perfect foils for Cash and Jaggar as their sidekicks and confidants. And, Lucy the pup steals everyone’s heart!

Absolute Trust was fast paced and thrilling. There were some fun and unexpected plot twists and turns as the author raced readers to the finish of this epic duet. 4.5 stars.

Absolute Trust is the 2nd book in the Absolute Power duet and it continues right where book 1 left off. The author brought more steam and action in this novel and I was hooked and glued to the pages until the end. This was an unusual love story but I was rooting for Jagger and Cash throughout inspite of all the obstacles and danger that came up. Cash was ruthless, cunning and merciless and I loved seeing the change in him with how he treated Jagger and the progression of their relationship. Jagger had more backbone in this story but there were some times I felt like she overreacted unnecessarily.
I loved that we got dual POV in this novel as it gave us a glimpse into the thoughts of each character. In addition we are given some history which helped us to understand them a bit more.
I personally enjoyed this book more than the first one. With some nail biting twists and turns along the way, this story was mysterious and suspenseful, fun and fast paced, filled with love, friendship, intriguing characters and a couple secondary characters who helped to move the story forward. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to all lovers of romantic suspense..

This is a fast paced story that is easy to read in one sitting. The whole duet is the same and one I can recommend. It is a fabulous love story with a difference.

Absolute Trust is the conclusion of the Absolute Power duet. It opens with Jagger thinking that she is done with Cash. But she finds herself immersed in a world of diamonds and the fireworks that Cash ignites within her. Jagger isn’t done with him. Not by a long shot. She wants him and will anything to keep him.

In Absolute Power, there was the very confusing dichotomy that is Cash Delacorte … light versus dark. The dark side dominated and it was confusing when Cash revealed his lighter side. Well, we just didn’t know that Cash had claimed Jagger the moment he first saw her. Unbeknownst to her, Jagger has Cash wrapped around her finger. Cash is ready to do whatever it takes to win Jagger over permanently. “I won’t stop trying to win you over. Even when you are mine.”

This fast-paced story filled with intrigue, drama, twists, and love. Almost all of our questions are answered, and we get a glimpse of friends from the past. Overall, I would definitely recommend Absolute Trust.

Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Absolute Trust is the second in the Power series by Jeana E. Mann. This one picks up right where the killer cliffhanger left us in the last book; Absolute Power. I do highly recommend reading that book before reading this one, there is so much that happens that you will not really get if you don’t.

Normally I have a hard time reading stories that continue in more than one book, but with Jeana, her stories captivate your mind and they get better and better as you go. This one is just like that. Cash and Jagger are two halves of the same coin, better with each other, and hard to deny each other.

Absolute Trust is a fast paced, easy to read story that will have you flipping page after page to see what happens next. How will he evade the cops? The FBI? This story will keep you guessing until the very end. I think my favorite part about the badass, Alpha Cash is how he slowly starts to open up to Jagger. His walls come down just a little and we can see the person he truly is.
Five out of five stars for this thrilling read. As always Jeana writes a wicked awesome book!

This is the second book in the Absolute Duet, an amazing dark romantic suspense. The story continues where the first installment left off. You have to read Absolute Power before this one. Cash and Jagger are such complex, and strong characters. They are perfect together. In this story, we learn more about Cash's past. The storyline is intriguing, and captivating, filled with twists and turn, adventure, action, and danger. The ending is perfect! The cast of supporting characters is great. I would love to have Gage and Em's story! And I loved to see again Callie and Nicky. I enjoyed this duet, and I highly recommend it. Looking forward to read more stories written by Jeana E. Mann.

This duet is a spin-off of the amazingly dark Ruthless Knight (Calliope's story). The Exiled Prince Trilogy and The Rebel Queen Duet are also part of this amazing world.

Reading order suggested:

1) The Exiled Prince Trilogy (Henry and Everly)
2) The Rebel Queen Duet (Roman and Rourke)
3) Ruthless Knight (Calliope and Nicky)
4) and then, Absolute Power Duet (Cash and Jagger)

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

The thrilling conclusion to the Absolute Power duet. Unfortunately for me, it remained the same as the first book. The characters lacked depth and the connection to them had me wishing for more.

Ultimately, this book is just a conclusion to the first book and while the story line and plot felt defined, the lack of connection made it so I couldn’t figure it out.

From the start, you are thrust into the world Jeana creates, and it’s a viable world with endless possibilities. Jagger and Cash are still the main characters and as much as you want to connect with them, you can’t. Jagger is still the same timid woman who makes me ashamed of my own gender and Cash is still the same ruthless man.

I do enjoy this author’s work so even though I didn’t enjoy this particular duet, I will continue to read her work.

Three stars for the conclusion to the Absolute Power duet that still had me lacking a connection, even with the story doing it’s best to draw me in.

Everyone keeps warning Jagger away from Cash Delacorte – her roommate, her sister and the FBI. He’s bad news, they say. Done some truly despicable things, they say. Ruthless. Heartless. I would have liked to have read a story about that Cash. Unfortunately this is not that book… the rarely seen, lighter side of his personality has definitely taken over from the dark, which has ruled his life and actions with an inflexible iron fist until he’d met Jagger.

I was rather disappointed with how this story played out. Things that were ongoing concerns from the first book wrapped up very conveniently, leaving me with some unanswered questions. I didn’t find the story particularly suspenseful either and I thought the events leading up to the ending were somewhat run-of-the-mill. Overall though, there’s plenty of drama, angst and some snark, along with several steamy encounters.

Absolute Trust is the 2nd book in the Absolute Power duet by Jeana E. Mann and book 2 continues right where book 1 left off. You need to read book 1 to understand what is going on in this book.
This book concludes Cash and Jagger's story. The chemistry between them is sizzling hot. Cash is still his domineering bad boy self who is super possessive and still has the FBI after him; Jagger still has her trust issues that Cash makes worse. Does she trust him or what?
In book 2, both main characters go through some growing up. Cash actually shows a "sweeter" side toward Jagger than in the previous book while Jagger shows a bit more a sassy side. Will the FBI be able to recruit her to their side and turn on Cash? Who shows up and tries to take Jagger away? Will Cash decide to fight for Jagger and their relationship vs the life of crime he's only known? Fantastic wrap up on the Duet. I would have liked the ending not to be so rushed, otherwise good read.

Cash and Jagger continue there story in the final book in this duet. When Cash gives Jagger a vintage car worth a lot of money the FBI arrive at her house asking a lot of questions that she refuses to answer and this starts a chain of events. Cash has feelings for Jagger but he can not tell her because he does not know how she feels. There connection and chemistry just seems to get hotter and hotter but where will it all lead too and will they get a happy ending with all the danger surrounding them and enemies getting closer. There are so many twists and turns along with danger, hope, love, betrayal that makes this book a real page turner and totally addictive. Jeana E Mann is an amazing author and writer and i love her books so much and i definitly recommend you read this duet and other books by her and you will not be disappointed.

Absolute Trust is the second book & is the conclusion of Cash Delacorte and Jagger Jones story. This is a spinoff from The Ruthless Knight. Calliope Jones (Jagger’s sister) shows up after 4 years of no contact with Jagger. Oh you don’t have to have read The Ruthless Knight to know what is going on. This series can be read on it’s own. But if you want to know other characters I highly recommend The Ruthless Knight!

So after Absolute Power where Cash was not a nice guy. Turns out he can be nice and become a likable character too. Yet, Jagger probably shouldn’t be with him especially the way he treated her in book one. This was a steamy read. Neither can seem to keep their hands off each other.

I am really looking forward to the next spinoff @ least I am hoping for another one! 4.5 stars.

Let me say that, as much as I enjoyed Book I of this series, Book 2 was even more enjoyable!

This book follows Cash and Jagger as they navigate their way through the pitfalls that will be there relationship. I was actually surprise there were more pitfalls, since their "relationship" started out with him pulling a gun, but hey, if she can hack it so can I.

Again, this book was full of characters that were well developed (and in the case of the sister Calliope, I'd say that this was the time when I realized I should have read her book first, rather than jumping into this series).

The plot was solid, I enjoyed the book. Jeana Mann is a very good writer, but not prolific enough. To the author: please get those fingers working and get us a few more books to read, we're running out of your wonderful plots and characters. :-)

So, can we say, total mind blow!!! I was beyond dying to get the answers after the way the first book ended. So yes, if you are reading this and NOT read book one, stop, turn around, get to clicking because you need to read it all. What Mann created with this duet was absolute intense brilliance. With Jagger trying to navigate everything that is thrown at her, she has such a backbone and fighting spirit that you cannot help but love. Even when Cash is getting on her nerves, even mine at times, you cannot help but adore these two together. As things play out, I really love the depth that Mann created within this duet. I have not read any other books that are involved with this duet but I can tell you, you do not need to read them to get full enjoyment out of these two books. Honestly, will leave you begging for more.
As things play out, the push and pull between Cash and Jagger is sizzling, even when they are thrown for a loop from multiple directions. Their connection stays solid regardless of what happens. I honestly devoured this book in hours because I could not get enough. It is an epic duet and I am beyond in love with it!
