Why did the clerics want to halt construction of this temple. Because, as the old adage goes, Islam must dominate and not be dominated. Meanwhile, authorities the world over take that quest for dominance as a matter of course, and give way before it.
“Religious intolerance,” Dawn Editorial, July 6, 2020 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
BIGOTRY and intolerance reigned supreme yet again last week, when authorities in the federal capital halted the construction of a Hindu temple in Islamabad. In a commendable move, Prime Minister Imran Khan last month had approved a grant of Rs100m for the historic construction of a temple for Islamabad’s 3,000-strong Hindu population which includes public- and private-sector employees, business community members and a large number of doctors. However, a story that began with an admirable decision soon took a dark turn. A group of clerics opposed the building of the temple, threatening action if authorities went ahead with the work. The construction was also opposed by political parties, including the JUI-F and PML-Q. Alas on Friday, the Capital Development Authority stopped the construction of the boundary wall on the plot meant for the temple, citing ‘legal reasons’. Although ‘legality’ and ‘fine print’ are being cited as the basis for which the construction of the temple wall was stopped, it is evident that the decision to stop building was taken after pressure was exerted by the groups that have so vocally opposed it….
That intolerance has won the day is a sad indictment of the shrinking space for religious freedom in Pakistan. What is more disturbing is that a private news channel claimed ‘victory’ when the construction was halted — an indication of how deeply religious discrimination has permeated every aspect of society. For too long, this country’s minorities have been unfairly pushed against a wall by powerful groups that threaten and blackmail the authorities into submission. This will be a test case for the PTI government and the prime minister, who must ensure that the initial spirit with which this decision was taken prevails.

Systemic discrimination? Thy name is PAKISTAN … the home of the greatest number of bigots in the world.

It’s very unfortunate. Construction of Hindu temple would be example of how tolelant Islam is, which we are told in every Islamic literature.

Muslims saying they are tolerant is Taqiyya.

So the koran is not Islamic literature. Curious!

Whenever Muslims seize power, they take the PACT OF OMAR as their default position.
The PACT OF OMAR states conditions that DHIMMIS must agree to in order to preclude violent persecution directed by Muslims against them:
“… we will neither ERECT in our areas a monastery, church, or a sanctuary for a monk, nor RESTORE any place of worship that NEEDS RESTORATION nor use any of them for the purpose of enmity against Muslims. We will not prevent any Muslim from resting in our churches whether they come by day or night, and we will open the doors [of our houses of worship] for the wayfarer and passerby. Those Muslims who come as guests, will enjoy boarding and food for three days. We will not allow a spy against Muslims into our churches and homes or hide deceit [or betrayal] against Muslims.”
The Pakistani Muslims are implying that the PACT OF OMAR is in force in Pakistan.

So true.

Pakistan: Muslim clerics oppose building of Hindu temple, court halts construction
…………..
This is normative Islam.

It is clearly a bad idea for non muselmen to live in kackistan. Kackistan was founded on rhe premise of being reserved for izlam.
Let the remaining Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, Atheists, Parsees leave for India.
Let India harass it’s remaining muzzies out of the country and raze all mosques.
The historically important mosques may be turned into museums for past barbarism.

Hindus, Sikhs, and Christians and other non-Muslims lived in what is now Pakistan for centuries.
But I agree that now there is no future for non-Muslims in Pakistan–they should take India up on her offer of citizenship.

Only to be expected in the upside down twisted thinking world in which we live today! It’s long been public knowledge that wherever another religion wants to practice their faith, especially in a Muslim country, the intolerance comes to the fore. Islam must reign supreme, no other religion is considered as legitimate, except Islam. Politicians were most definitely at the back of the queue when it came to doling out brain cells, sadly many missed out and have been left to spend their lives as morons. To take so long to recognise Islam for what it stands for is morally unforgiveable! But politicians of today are hopeless and don’t possess the courage or ability to see the truth in front of their very eyes. To be fair, politicians who don’t live in the real world do tend to be extremely naive or are genuinely simply just dimwits. The threat of Islam and what it brings to civilised society has been ignored by fear or favour. Western politicians seem to think that if enough outrage is committed by Muslims then we will all eventually accept our situation and allow Islam control. I have a message for the politicians, it is Not Going To Happen!! People have had enough of the gutless approach to Islam by foolish politicians. One day, you will be removed by the people for your failure to prevent the intolerance of Islam in our lands, for your failure to prevent our daughters being raped and abused, and for your failure to uphold our right to freedom of speech. You have been warned, you’d better take notice!!
