I'm Alley. I'm an Indie author and I write Contemporary/New Adult, Rom-Com, Sports Romances with fierce heroines and their swoony Alpha partners with heart. There's a heavy dose of witty banter and sarcasm in my characters.

I'm a stay at home mom to 3 amazing and crazy minis all under 4yo, a 95lb lab, and let's face it on some days my hubby is my 4th kids... But to be fair I totally love him a a lot. When I'm not corralling my crazy minis I can be found writing the stories the voices in my head tell me at naptime and when the rest of my house goes to sleep at night.

I'm a complete romance junkie. Pizza and mac and cheese are major food groups to me.

OH Miss Ciz...
You’ve really gone and done it.
That ENDING though!!? *cue fainting meme*

I swear I was on edge with all the mystery surrounding the truth about Kay. A hint here, a hint there. If I bit my nails, they’d be nubs right now with the anxiousness I felt waiting for the truth to be revealed. And what’s worst? Miss Ciz got some explaining to do because I’m pretty darn sure there’s more to the story than what I got and I NEED IT ALL RIGHT NOW. Ok enough screaming I’ll save the rest for PMs.
Looking to Score...
First off, kudos to Alley for the authenticity of the facts involving sports. Her passion for all things sports bleed through the pages and your girl learned a little something.
The inner dialogue from both Mase and Kay was freaking hilarious! My abs got a mini workout from all the laughs. That hot, witty, and playful banter between the two: yes please.
Oh and I can finally understand why from the beginning, Jenny staked her claim on Mase. This is only book one but her claim is well placed and I’m jealous I didn’t get to lick him as mine first.
Looking to Score was a hell of a ride full of humor, swoon for days, hot steamy times, the feels from A-Z, sweet anticipation and an ending that leaves you yearning for October like yesterday.

Alley Ciz is one of my go to authors. When picking up one of her books you're guaranteed humour, banter, steam, characters you'll fight over and a plot that will have you on the edge of your seat.

Looking To Score is without a doubt one of my favourite reads of 2020. I'm in awe of her world building and cannot wait to see more of these amazing characters in the rest of the series.

She was Looking To Score with this one, and she scored the mother of all touchdowns! A must read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS

I am loving this new series from Alley Ciz! You are going to fall in love with Kay and Mason... I know I did! Just got to warn you that you are left with a cliffhanger... like I legit need to know right now what happens next! I guarantee the next book is going to be a total 'GAME CHANGER' (***pun intended***)! The Inner Coach and Inner Cheerleader were my absolute fave. Alley is amazing at bringing out the quirkiness from each and every character. I just want to be friends with them all. I loved getting the 411 and reading the Instagram posts. Alley Ciz scored a touchdown with the series starter Looking to Score! Looking To Score by Alley Ciz is an EPIC sports romance and will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!

I was lucky enough to read an advanced copy of Looking to Score. Alley Ciz has such talent with creating lovable, relatable characters. I adored the entire U of J cast and I want them all to have their own books. That cliffy though, gah! I NEEDS book 2 now! What a fabulous start to this new series!

5 rainbow stars!!!

This book gives you ALL the feels. Are you ready? Cause this will definitely be your next fav book series

I’m Casanova. I don’t catch feelings. I’m fully vaccinated.

Take my money!!!!!! Alley has done it again..where is the U of J?? I'm on my way to enroll for next year😜
What can I say about this book? As always there's nothing that I don't hate from her book, they have banter, hot af attraction, and a push and pull that puts you on your nerves but at the same time, It has to be there. Besides, what cannot be missing in any of Alley's book, that familiar feeling of friends sticking for each one of their members, a sense of tribe.

I. Do. Not. Kiss. Football. Players.

I love this book so much!!! I need more from these two..like yesterday!! Nova, he's a football player with his head in the game, a womanizer who DOES.NOT.FALL for any girl..but..guess what..he will..he just doesn't know it yet!

And K she's one of those heroines you wish to be best friends with, fun, caring, and most of all genuine!!! I need a K in my life!!! She's been through so much and has trust issues..especially when it comes to boys..athletes to bo specific lol..will she be enchanted by Nova's tricks?

You'll see it when you read this masterpiece by the one and only, our head witch, aka ALLEY CIZ.

Do you like Instagram speak? Do you like a full cast of characters? Specially friends and family of our hero and heroine. Eek. Do you like a story you go into knowing there is a BIG mystery surrounding a character? This one excels at teasing you with new details as you travel downs it telling. Yikes. I love it all. Hee hee.

Mason and Kayla provide a unique read with some beloved troupes of mine. I am “ALL ABOUT” college sport romance. Wink. Mason is reported to be a player but truthfully when he meets Kayla you see none of that behavior. You do get him questioning himself as to why he is so into her. He just CAN’T stay away. Kayla is having some of the same issues. Plan to be entertained with the emotional dance they participate in. SO GOOD.

Sometimes I struggled following who is who. Truthfully it is my bad. I am a fast reader and I would have to go back to ask myself what friend or family member it was. I call stories like these meaty, or heavy with characters. Be forewarned, this book is a marathon not a sprint, so pay attention. Haha.

Lastly BE PREPARED... this ending left me banging my head on my kindle. This author is SO CRUEL. I kinda love/hate her because she left me hanging that way. Ugh book two had better be here soon cause Mason and Kayla left me reeling. WTH?!

Evil laugh “Happy Reading Everyone”.

If you liked Alley's BTU series, you will LOVE this!

Full of banter, drama and a plot to keep you on the edge of your seat, this is an addictive read that will leave you craving more.

Mason Nova is charismatic, charming and cocky as hell. And I love it! He's met his match with Kay though and their chemistry is off the charts.

A five star read that will make you smile, swoon and swear.

I will admit at first all of the nicknames, and trying to figure out who is who, was confusing. Then when I was able to start matching up names with people the story got interesting.

Kayla was desperately trying to hide from her past and keep a few things of her present hidden. Only her small circle knew the truth and did everything they could to help protect her. She had to hide her identity so she wouldn’t be used again. College was her shot to try and leave the past behind until she caught the eye of Casanova.

Mason, aka Casanova, only had football on his mind. He was the best tight end in college across the board. He had his fair share of jersey chasers and that was his normal. There wasn’t any time for a girlfriend. The last time he tried a relationship he got burned. One day, one look was all it took. Kay had taken his heart without even knowing.

This book had me sucked in until the very end and now we have to wait until the next one releases. Well played!!

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. Alley I can't tell you how proud I am of you for writing this book, I just know by the first one I'm going to love this whole series. I also love of these characters are so different from your BTU Series. I can't wait for more of this series. I love Mase I do but he needs a slap for one particular scene which I feel he over reacted in. And jayla Omg I love this girl to pieces us shortys need to stick together. I also love Trav and the rest of guys. Oh and E and Bette are the cutest!!!

Oh Ms. Alley Ciz,

Lucy Ew GIF - Lucy Ew YouGotSomeSplainingToDo GIFs

I am in love!! Dare I say, I think I am slightly more in love with the U of J series (or what it’s going to be), than her BTU series (which is A-MAZ-ING, by the way). I know that is difficult to assess with only one book in the U of J series, but this book has everything, I’ve grown to love about Alley.

I absolutely adore Alley’s writing style. You are guaranteed a good time when you pick up one of her books. The banter and personalities of all characters is outstanding. The humor is riotously hilarious, and it is chock full of drama and mystery. All in all, Looking to Score has it all!!

I am in absolute love with Mason and Kay. Mason, well because he’s smoking hot, driven, charismatic, loyal, and downright cocky. Kay is fierce, loyal, genuine, and protective, but the main thing these two share is they are both vulnerable. This vulnerability is hidden behind a great big brick wall, which they do not show often, but when they do, watch out, because you will find your new best friend and instant supporter! These two are absolute perfection together!

Based on Looking to Score, the U of J series, is looking very promising and I can’t wait for more. More words, more character storylines and more of an explosive good time!

(ahhmm, is this thing on) Dear Ms. Ciz, I am here to inform you that you have yet again made me a reader for life, however, I do have one complaint. That ending girl, really?? Gah…Thank you and goodnight!

Looking To Score is the first novel in Alley Ciz new series #UofJ and is spoken in Dual Perspectives.

College sports romances are one of my many weaknesses when it comes to reading and this one definitely delivered. Full of drama, banter, secrets, heat and a bunch of amazing friendships. Mason and Kayla left me swooning all over the place and with that cliffhanger ending? GAH! I need book two right now!

Oh my word! ALL the feels! I could not put it down, I stayed up to finish it and then couldn’t sleep when it ended. My heart was left in pieces...be ready for one heck of a ride! Looking To Score was the first book in Alley’s #UofJ Series. It was a wonderful mix of mystery, angst, laughter, and love!

Mason was a player, football was his life. He wasn’t ready for anything else until he met Kayla. She somehow wiggled her way into his heart, but would either one of them be ready for what was about to happen?

Gah! This was one of those books I just want to talk about for ever but I can’t ruin it for you! You need to experience everything in real time!

Mason and Kayla’s connection was off the charts! And of course, in true Alley fashion Kayla had her tribe! I absolutely love how much Alley makes sure her characters have their close friends that protect them no matter what. It kept me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what would happen next. Nothing could have prepared me for the adventure Alley took me on! I am pretty sure this book will be on my mind for the foreseeable future! Buckle up and enjoy the ride!

Looking To Score is book 1 in the new U of J world.
It does end of an epic cliffhanger but books 2 and 3 are being released in October and December.

No girl’s ever talked back to me, and not gonna lie, it turns me on.

Mason Nova. Casanova. The king of campus. The football god. The ladies man. His sole focus is football and winning the championships. That is it for him. His life. But when he lays eyes on Kay he is doomed. He tries his hardest to fight it but the tiny powerhouse that is Kay brings this ladies man to his knees quicker than he can say touchdown. This guy is everything and he has jumped right to the top of my book boyfriend list.

I’m Casanova. I don’t catch feelings. I’m fully vaccinated.

I absolutely fell in love with this new world. Mase and Kay, the supporting cast. All of them had be laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe. In typical Alley Ciz fashion she leaves you caught up in her world, breathing her words and wanting more.

I can’t stop the feels, and that scares the shit out of me.

Alley Ciz once again brings all of the laughs, swooning and shouting with this epic first book in her new series.
She made me want to become a student at the U of J.

Start this series today! You won’t regret it!

I still can't believe that Alley hasn't published a million books. She is just so perfect and polished and quickly becoming one of my favourite authors. I am so completely addicted to her BTU Alumni series and I jumped into this one without doing any research. And as much as I'm slapping myself for that, I know the results would have been the same. I have zero self-control when it comes to an Alley Ciz book.

So, it landed on my kindle and I was in. And as always, I was invested from the first one. Except that I saw that the first three books of the series are based around the one couple. So now I'm freaking out, but I figured I would be fine. Then I got to 90% and started sweating because a) I do not want this to end. B) I am running out of % for a happily ever after, everything is unresolved. C) I still do not know everything and I'm dying here.

So now it's official, Alley is evil and getting a hell of a lot of stink eye because that ending feels brutal. And October is forever away. Especially in 2020. We could have anything happen in a month. Honestly would anyone be surprised if solar flares took out the whole world's power? Or aliens were elected president of the US and banned ebooks?

So, Casanova has a starring role as book boyfriend of the month. Even if he is still being cagey about his past and acted like an idiot without talking to #casanovasmysterygirl I kind of get it. As for said mystery girl, I love her. I need to know EVERYTHING but I'm sure as it unfolds I'll just love her more.

As with every Alley book the background characters are absolute perfection and they had better ALL be getting their own books yesterday. I am so mad and excited and scared and desperate for the next book and obviously the one after that since they are getting three books. I just do not know how I'm meant to sleep with my brain still stuck in UofJ.

Well, Mrs. Ciz I don't know if I should love you or hate you for Looking to Score. I loved every second of this book until the very end. And that cliffhanger was absolutely brutal. Looking to Score is the perfect start to the U of J series.

I loved Mason and Kayla so much. They are both such fun characters to read. They are relatable and fun to read. Mason Nova is the star of the U of J football team. Kayla Dennings in the girl who wants nothing to do with the spotlight. And football players are a never ever for her. Watching Casanova fall to his knees for this girls is the best site.

Every single character in this book has a purpose. There is not one person in this book to just fill up space. If they are mentioned, you better take note. Alley Ciz has once again created this world I want to crawl inside and live in. I'd also like to live in it side by side with QB1. As much as I love Mason, I love Travis McQueen more. Not the point of this at all, I know.

Alley Ciz delivered this amazing plot, with absolute perfect execution. She had me hooked from start to finish and even now I still need more. I'm addicted to this series. Ciz just sucks me into her words and before I know what's happened I'm done reading and needing more.

Looking to Score is another 5 star, must read book from Alley Ciz! Doesn't matter if she is new to you, or you've read all her books, you'll want to meet Casanova and his lady!

Kayla is a student at U of J, she has few friends and she prefers to keep a low profile, well out of the limelight. Mason is the star tight end of the U of J football team and a well known Casanova. When they met there's immediately a spark of interest and attraction, but will Kayla overcome her fears accepting to go out with Mason?Or will she reject his courtship?

I've to admit it took me a few chapters to get into this book, all the nicknames put me off at the beginning, but when I succeeded to know the characters better their story was really nice and enjoyable.

Looking To Score is a fast paced story that ended with a cliffhanger that makes you wish to get next book of the series as soon as it will be released.

What the damn hell.

This this was just GAHHHHHH!!!!

Mase oh my god he was charming, swoony and oh so delicious.

Kayla was quirky, fun and so likable.

These two together were epicness beyond anything I could image.

Their banter was laugh out loud, their chemistry was H.O.T. and them us a couple were the damn cutess thing ever...

Everything about this book screams give me a
A. give me a M. give me a A. give me a Z. give me I. give me a N. give me a G.

That ending though...

Damn you Alley for making me cuss you. I freaking loved this my new fave for sure.

LOVED THIS! Roll on October 15!! Gaaaahhhh!!

"Never have I been known to stake a claim on a person like I'm blatantly doing with Kay, but I get a rush from it all the same."

Mason 'Casanova' Nova is a player through and through - no girl can pin him down. However, when he meets pocket-sized Kayla, there's something about her that gets right under his skin like no other girl before. He knows he needs to concentrate on his football and she obviously isn't interested. However, he can't help himself. He's persistent in his attentions, yet she puts him off at every turn.

"I've fought him, fought us, every step of the way, but no more. I'm done running, done letting my past dictate my future."

Kayla keeps everyone, except a chosen few, at a distance. She doesn't trust easily. She especially has no interest in being with a football player - even one as gorgeous and charming as Mason. However, day by day, he proves himself to be more than he portrays. Unfortunately, he has trust issues of his own and also a jealous streak a mile wide where Kayla is concerned.

"My mouth crashes to hers. Touchdown! The first taste of her lips feels like coming home."

This was such a fab story! Mason was so taken with Kayla from the get-go, and he was persistent and domineering in his pursuit of her. She's pretty stubborn throughout but little by little, he sneaks under her guard. Her backstory and the reasons for her reticence takes some time to be revealed. I possibly could have done with a little less of the inner monologue but, overall, it was pretty amusing. I adored Kayla's close friendships and Mason was desperate to be let into her inner circle. For all his popularity, Mason is touchingly vulnerable and somewhat insecure, but Kayla suited him more than either realised. The two of them together were hot, funny and so right. I loved the banter and chemistry between them but I've gotta say that the ending got to me! Roll on book 2!!

Is it possible to pack all the feels from a pep rally into a book? I love Alley because she makes her characters pop and every new character introduced puts a smile on my face. My immediate reaction after finishing this book was "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! OMFG ALLEY!!!!!!!" followed by much flailing and flopping. This was not me being dramatic. This was the #LTSeffect. That's what I'm calling it. Alley Ciz is an incredibly talented author, I was already well aware of this. But this book, this book is one of her greatest. I went into this expecting the awesome Alley always delivers, but what I got was a mind-blowing epic start to a series that sailed to the top of my all-time favorites.
I'm completely aware this review is vague AF, but there's a reason for that. I really want everyone to experience the #LTSeffect. 🤷‍♀️🤣 Kayla and Mason are truly about to turn your whole freaking world upside down and leave you dying for more of them.

OMG! I’m obsessed with Mason Nova aka Casanova! A tight end for the UofJ football team. He doesn’t date and takes full advantage of the “jersey chasers” that worship him like a God. Until he lays his eyes on the tiny girl with rainbow hair, Kayla Dennings. She’s the only girl that his charm doesn’t seem to work on. Kayla loves football! But she does NOT date football players!

This book was AMAZING! I’ve loved all of Alley Ciz’s books and book boyfriends but OMG! Mase is my official favorite! This book had all the feels! I laughed so hard at times and had my heart in my throat in others. Alley really knows how to put you on that emotional rollercoaster! I can’t wait for book 2! It’s going to drive me crazy until I get it!

This is not the worst College/Football romance I have encountered, but the MMC, Mason, is particularly unlikeable for most of the book, and that really had me struggling.

He was an unmitigated, arrogant man-whore whose self-talk (from his "inner Coach"- yeah, exactly) consisted mainly of:

Find easy pussy! Forget this chick!

Yep- "easy pussy". His words. What a charmer.
And imagine, he was only what- 20? 21? Wow- that's actually a bit sad. I couldn't really work out why he was so lacking in basic decency, given his family life was pretty positive. There just didn't seem to be any excuse. (I could say something about the whole anachronistic concept of college Fraternities, and how much damage they do to young men, but I won't).

Add to that the fact that only about 2 or 3 females in the whole story were depicted as nice people- all the rest were skanky hoes, forever begging to give good ole Mase a blowjob, and you are getting the picture.

Kayla, by contrast, was quite an interesting character. Her male friends were really sweet, and still hugely muscled and hot. Why she didn't choose one of them was quite beyond me.
I kept thinking

I also admit, the cheerleading thing is a mystery to me- as an Aussie I don't really understand why a bunch of girls would dress up in short skirts, wave pompoms and cheer on the boys, instead of going out and playing their own game. Seems horribly sexist. I know there is cheerleading as a competitive sport, and I've seen the Netflix reality show about this, which was fascinating, especially as it was a mixed team. These kids are real athletes and gymnasts, and that makes much more sense to me. This was the kind of cheerleading Kayla had done, thank goodness. And I really loved her dedication to her sport.

I was not sure where the author was going with the story arc, either. It seemed there was a strong critique of social media and its power to destroy lives. Mason, oblivious to anything that wasn't going to benefit him, went ahead and believed its rumours and gossip rather than allowing Kayla to explain. And he pushed her into a relationship she didn't want. Again, what a douche.

I will read the whole series (3 books, I think) in the hope that Mason achieves at least some self-awareness and humility by the end of it all.

And btw, my 23 year-old daughter thinks Mason is a prick, too!

This. Was. Everything! College, sports romance has always been a favourite of mine...but this one is on a whole new level. It's got witty banter, so much sass and smoking hot chemistry between the lead characters. I had a hard time putting it down!

After a past that she would really rather forget all about, ex-cheerleading superstar Kay is trying to lay low and fly under the radar at college. Her tight knit group of friends and family are super protective of Kay and I think I fell in love with every single one of them! Her attraction to a footballer definitely doesn't fit in with her plans of flying under the radar, but chemistry takes no prisoners!

""Hi, I'm Mason." His deep voice rumbles through me, making each one of my lady parts stand up and do facial expressions like I'm at the top of a stunt."

Mason 'Casanova' Nova is the star footballer bound for the NFL. He's focused on football and football alone, there's no time in his busy schedule for a girlfriend but how can he resist the little dynamo that is Kay? He is definitely one of my favourite book boyfriends of all time, but I will admit at the end of this book I wanted nothing more than to be able to step into the book and slap him across the back of the head to try and knock some sense into him.

"God I love her sharp tongue. No girl's ever talked back to me, and I'm not gonna lie, it turns me on."

This would have to be right up there with my favourite book of 2020, I'm struggling to think of a book I have enjoyed more this year. A must read for me! Bring on book number 2 - is it October yet?

Alley Ciz just delivered a fantastic story and the first in her new series, The #UofJ!

In it, we first meet Kayla "PF" Dennings, who is small but feisty. She’s a private person that only allows a small group of people in her circle. Once they are there, they are considered her family, blood or not.

Then there is Mason Nova, aka Casanova, the tight end on the Hawks football team. Guys want to be him and girls want to be with him. Well, with the exception of Kayla Dennings.

He is everything Kayla is trying to avoid. But... who doesn't like a challenge??? The more Kayla tries to deter Mason, the more effort he puts in to wearing her down.

I really enjoyed this book. There is more angst and more drama than what I'm used to in Alley's other series. There is a bit of mysteriousness that kept me glued and wanting to know everything that is keeping Kayla from wanting this relationship with Mason. THEN there is Mason's past that is hinted at but never fully divulged. I hope it is revealed in the next book because this girl needs to know!

The only thing that gave me pause was the amount of nicknames that were thrown at me in the beginning. At first, I was thinking it was excessive and made me a little dizzy but later it makes sense and comes full circle and gave me that "Aha" moment.

Fair warning - just when you think you are about to get all the juice and sh*ts about to hit the fan, it ends with a TBC cliffhanger. So now I will not so patiently wait for Game Changer to be released next month.

Looking To Score is the start of a brand new series “#UofJ” by Alley Ciz. This college, sports romance is full of sassy one-liners, witty banter, and so much steam! Alley scored a massive touchdown with this one, I am so invested in all of these characters!

Mason is the alpha male, star college footballer who is destined for the NFL. With a nickname like Casanova, it’s no surprise that he’s all about football and one night stands, with no desire for a girlfriend. His inner coach dialogue is the hilarious devil on his shoulder interrupting left, right and center.

“I’m Casanova. I don’t catch feelings. I’m fully vaccinated.”

Kay would really like for her past life as a top cheerleader to stay hidden away in the past, and to her, that means she needs to stay out of the spotlight at college. She has built this tight-knit group of friends and family around her who are all fiercely protective of her but at the same time worry that she’s hiding too much of herself away from the world.

"You’re the first girl I ever needed to put any effort in with.” Give me a swoon! Give me a nee! What’s that spell? Swoony! My damn inner cheerleader chants in my head.”

The chemistry between the lead characters in this book is off the charts and had me flying through the pages because I just couldn’t get enough of them. While this one did leave the reader hanging with no HEA just yet, there are two more books to come (both releasing before the end of 2020) starring Kay and Mason. This is one of my top picks for the best book of 2020 – a must-read!

Alley has done it again and she has landed a touch down with this new #UofJ series.

Like all her other amazing books "Looking to Score" is an amazing read where I devoured each page, fell in love with the incredible characters and enjoyed every single exchange and interaction between the guys and the girls.(this group of friends are one of the best I ever read).

Mason was swoonworthy , charming and a complete Casanova. Kay is a breath of fresh air with all her unique shirts, her banter and humility. She is a girl I want to be friends with.(team Kay)

The push and pull game these two have is entertaining and their chemistry is hot. There is mystery, drama, laughter, loyalty between friends and overall keep me at the edge of my sit (ps: I might had cry too).

The ending though(ALL THE SHOUTY CAPITALS TO ALLEY) left me wanting book to ASAP!!!

I cannot stress how much I loathe cliffhangers. There have been numerous times I have not started a book I desperately wanted to read after finding out that was how it was going to end.
So let it be known just how much I love Alley Ciz as an author because going in to this book I didn’t even blink an eye about not only one but two cliffhangers!!!
The secrecy behind Kayla had me intrigued from the start. Then with her backwards and forwards with Mason I was hooked. I enjoyed how everyone she meets cannot help but either like or love her. When snippets of her past get revealed her life hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows. But boy does she deserve someone like Mason and I cannot wait to read how their futures play out.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Book 1 in a brand new world for us to enjoy from the amazing mind of Alley Ciz! Sports romance unlike any other with witty banter and characters you’ll want to be friends with. And an ending that brought me to my knees!!

Kayla and Mason’s interactions were incredibly entertaining...their conversations were hilariously cute and their chemistry went from the slowest of burns to smoking hot and steamy. Things weren’t all fun and games though, as secrets and mistrust stemming from their pasts threatened the relationship they were building. I seriously could not stop reading!

#TheGram chapters were great, and once you read the book, you’ll see why! ;)
