My latest at PJ Media:
Ever wonder exactly how schools breed American-haters? Here’s how.
A Leftist protester in Portland recently announced that the goal of the riots that have recently swept the nation is the “abolition of the United States as we know it,” to the applause of her audience (which included not just miseducated children, but a middle-aged priest who should have known better). Rioters around the country, who are overwhelmingly young, middle-class Americans, have made abundantly clear their incandescent hatred for the United States. In the midst of all this, the California Department of Education has given us a vivid illustration of how we got here. It has developed an “Ethnic Studies” curriculum that would make Josef Goebbels proud.
The Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) reported Thursday that “more than a dozen California school boards have adopted resolutions in support of the state’s proposed ethnic-studies model curriculum, despite it have come under fire for containing anti-Semitic and anti-Israel content, and not addressing issues of anti-Semitism or including Jewish Americans.”
It’s all happening under the cover of darkness, deception, and coronavirus distraction, thanks to a group called “Save CA Ethnic Studies.” A letter to the California Department of Education (CDE) protesting the curriculum states: “School board members asked to vote on the resolution are not shown the original draft curriculum, and not informed about the enormous outpouring of criticism it engendered or that a CDE process is well underway for the curriculum’s redesign.”
The letter adds that school board members are “led to believe that in voting for the resolution they are showing support for AB-2016 and affirming the importance of ethnic studies classes in general, rather than endorsing the highly controversial draft curriculum that was condemned by dozens of state leaders and tens of thousands of Californians.”
The curriculum could have been devised in the editorial offices of Der Stürmer. According to JNS, “the proposed curriculum section on ‘Arab American Studies Course Outline’ contains a number of passages concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, such as ‘Direct Action Front for Palestine and Black Lives Matter,’ ‘Call to Boycott, Divest and Sanction Israel’ and ‘Comparative Border Studies: Palestine and Mexico.’”
As if that weren’t enough, the curriculum “also includes studying national figures such as Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), the late Columbia University professor Edward Said, Women’s March leader Linda Sarsour, the late radio personality Casey Kasem, actress Alia Shawkat and the late White House correspondent Helen Thomas—all of whom are associated with anti-Semitic and anti-Israel rhetoric, and in the case of the congresswomen, a push to enact legislation punishing Israel.”
There is much more. Read the rest here.

The Californian School Board has shown it’s utter ignorance of history and a huge disdain for those who were misled! The Board should be disbanded and a genuine Board non leftist led one set up and appointed!
Who is paying the Board to make such wicked decisions!

I doubt the Californians who vote for such measures would want to live in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Chad or Yemen where Sharia discrimination is an unchallenged part of life. Most people who have had to live in Muslim-majority countries for their job’s sake would be eager as can be to get out of them and go to a country with freedom of expression and equality under the law.
It’s easy for them to be broad-minded when their knowledge of this political ideology is shallow.

How much longer until the Christian church in the USA is driven underground?
gravenimage says
The United States is almost 75% Christian, so probably quite some time…

Don’t make the mistake of confusing people who go to church with Christians. Barna’s annual polls are proving year after year that the vast majority of church-goers know very little about the Bible, often don’t believe the Bible is reliable, and generally don’t have a Biblical worldview.
In the words of the late Keith Green, “Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than going to McDonald’s makes you a hamburger.”
The church has embraced the world so much that it is no longer a threat to a non-biblical worldview.
Hence, the church will continue to be comfortable in the USA.
Now, for the Christian, Bible-believing church the story will be different. But that’s a minority. If I were to put a number on it I’d say less than 20%.

It has now been 5 years since my welcome ended in the local Jewish community because I speak the truth about islam. The irony that I should speak more favorably and protectively about Judaism than “real” Jews leaves me amazed, and wondering. To have survived as a community for 3700 years through death, destruction and slavery, only to end now in utter ignorance and delusion is a shame; and a loss for the entire world.
The promise is stated 9 times, 3 times each to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in Genesis, “I will make of you a great nation and a blessing to all other nations.” Where is that promise being lost today? Pray for Jews, Judaism and Israel.

I witnessed the “community” shut down an extraordinary lecture program run by a rabbi of reason and courage out of his own temple, where I heard speakers such as Hirsi Ali, Wilders, Coughlin and others of equal stature. I am not Jewish but was raised in a largely Jewish community and the response to this in my home city would have been outrage. What is the matter with these people?
Frank Anderson says
I enjoyed and was helped immensely by more than 20 years of emotional guidance, inspiration and support from Jewish friends. When they died or moved away, the community changed and no longer desired my presence. We ALL have every right to choose who we welcome and who we do not. It does not change my admiration for the wisdom I find in Judaism, my love and respect for my friends and my hope for much better things, especially peace and prosperity for the future. I cannot understand self-defeating and self-destructive behavior; because I have fought my own battles all my adult life.
When my official adopted mother died in 1989, I wrote and conducted her funeral because I would not allow a stranger who had never met her perform that duty. The conclusion I discussed, and stand by to this day, is that there are some things in this life we are not given to answer or understand. God will teach us in HIs time. Until then, the 2 lessons of The Exodus teach 1) No matter how well things start; they change. 2) The God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Jesus, does not want any of his Children (ALL who call upon Him as Father) to live in any form of tyranny or oppression. God wants us to live in freedom.

Compliments to FrankAnderson for his guts and courage in trying to teach people who are set in their leftist narrative. I believe that a good dose of Islamic reality is necessary for them to become amenable. A dear old Jewish friend of mine was very critical of my counterjihad views until she had personal experience of Islamic supremacism. The path to enlightenment is often a lengthy process, but unfortunately people who are not informed about jihad are voting in complete naivety to elect candidates who are channelling aid and money to jihadists. We have to educate the uninformed in a very rational and logical manner. We cannot use facile, shallow argument on intellectual people. That is the problem. Changing their narrative requires they hear the whole argument. All that some Leftists have is slogans which are often shallow and repeated endlessly as a mantra or a creed, rather than as a logical argument. Reality most often contradicts slogans.
J Morgan says
I also believe that God wants us to live free and does not want us under tyranny or oppression. One of my best friends was a Jewish man and my memories of him I cherish. My own father was Jewish, but Jews don’t accept me because my mother is not Jewish, so I know what it is like to be shunned from the Jewish community. I don’t understand it really, either. It has forced me to open up to the greater family of humanity – that I am a part of. The wisdom of the Bible helps bridge all differences.

J.M., it has been at least a few weeks since I have written about a particularly inspiring television series that originated in more or less 1967. The series has inspired me ever since. Patrick McGoohan had time between the end of his Secret Agent series and going to Hollywood to act in Ice Station Zebra. During that break he made the Prisoner series of 17 episodes. It is available today on Tubi and Pluto, possibly other streaming channels.
The point of the series is to illustrate Abe Maslow’s theory of the process of individuation. As we grow older we learn to become less dependent on the people around us and more free to choose those we take as friends. We allow ourselves to depend on people who have their interests instead of our interests because we fear being alone. Many people abuse the authority we give them. The story shows how Number 6, the ordinary person, learns to take charge of his life.
I look at what I see and still find many people I respect and admire; but see many others that my life is better without having their influence disturbing my peace as they destroy themselves and the community I wish to see prosper. In the final analysis we must keep ourselves in order to keep our brothers. From my experience that is not easy.
J Morgan says
Ice Station Zebra looks great, an all-star cast, also the Prisoner series. Thanks for mentioning them. I’ll watch with my husband and son. I have long been interested in the process of individuation. We swallow our families whole, when we are young and then there is that process of separating out, what is me and what is them, it is a lifelong journey.
“In the final analysis we must keep ourselves in order to keep our brothers. From my experience that is not easy.”
I rely on my relationship with Jesus to keep myself. He is my anchor in a turbulent sea, so that I can be on stable footing hopefully, no matter what life throws my way. The more I call on him, the easier it seems to get. I hope to be there for all my brothers. The second Commandment is to love my neighbor as myself. To treat others as I would be treated. That is a lifelong process for me. I wasn’t always treated as I would be treated by others and sometimes it takes making a conscious effort to do better.
I appreciate the wisdom you’ve gained from all you’ve been through.

I was just watching it last month by coincidence.I watched the whole series again having seen it as a kid.
I know these word by heart by now: words that are quite significant against tyranny{globalism, communism}forces that want to control you.
“You are number six” they say to patrick mcgoohan’s character{“number 6″}
#6:”I will not not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.
my life is my own”
#2 “For official purposes everyone has a number.Yours is number 6″
#6″I am not a number.I am a person”
#2″ six of one , half a dozen of another”
And Ice Station Zebra is a superb cold war movie;one of the best.

I am wondering in their quest for nwo and Muslim as a world religion if Obama’s constant bombing was a ploy to begin the refuge takeover in our country and others. I see movies I lived in Minnesota and talked to these women that were brought here. They did not act like destroyed people from war. I’ve also met child soldiers from Africa and you can immediately tell the difference of someone who has been in hell and is trying to survive than someone who was paid to move to a new land everything given to them and no horror in their voice. This has been planned for a long time. Obama was very devising and a list about everything. We have been played. Now all the Muslim people are teaching our people hate of Jews again. And hate of whites also. God will protect us.

@Frank Anderson. A Jewish acquaintance of mine told me a weird story. His family had fled one of the big cities in The Netherlands. The neighbourhood where they had lived in for more than 35 years, was under siege of Muslim and black African migrants. Everyone that didn’t work for their gangs, was forced to leave. The family had fought to keep their apartment- but lost! Nobody came to their aid, or stood at their side; starting with city authorities, police and end with the local rabbi. Luckily, they could move to the upper north of The Netherlands. They found in their new environment rest and nice people. After a while, they decided to visit the Jewish community in the nearby city. During Passover they were asked (for courtesy reasons): what had brought them to the far village they are living in. The son said: ‘We are inland refugees! We were forced to flee the city. Muslim and African blacks had invaded in our neighborhood, and put in under terror. No, they didn’t know we have Jewish background. They regarded us as difficult to handle whites. If they knew, they had for sure murdered us”. The members of the Jewish congregation had changed their attitude at once toward the new comers. They had even started to insult them in quite a rough way. They were not regarded any more as Jews, but as white racist Jews. How dare they to say things like that on Muslims? Such nice people! After departure, the family had decided NEVER to come back again. If they need God, they can find him in one of the Protestant churches nearby.
Well, I fail to understand why Jews outside of Israel are doing so much their best TO KISS ASS with their Muslim enemy? An Enemy whose dream is to wipe them out the way they did with the Yezidis and Christians in Syria and Iraq. What kind of sick mentality they have? The Jews in The Netherlands know about the attacks on Jews in The Netherlands and other Western Countries. Do they think their creeping attitude will save their lives?
Frank Anderson says
R.T., I did everything I knew to be a courteous, harmonious and helpful visitor to the local Jewish community for 7 years. Then the wonderful Rabbi came as close as he was allowed to telling me that I would be welcome as a member. Having been part of a Masonic family since before my birth (the doctor who delivered me and arranged my adoption was a Mason, as was my official adopted father), I understood what he was saying and the reasons.
The person who invited me to the first events became one of my many unnumbered mothers by choice. She had been a member of the community for more or less 70 years. I made sure at all times that I gave far more than I asked, because I had what I needed. I treasure to this day the time I had and what I learned.
As much as I and my most important and significant other wish, we are not welcome. Our lives continue in the belief we are not alone, even when others dismiss us. Our first duty is self-preservation. People who do not understand that well enough to understand the goals of 1400 years of war, conquest, death and slavery, also fail to understand the mental health that is central to the teachings of Judaism
My decision on this is not one of anger. It is disappointment for people I admire and teachings I follow. My Rabbi and I agreed many times, whatever else Jesus was, he was the first well-known Reform Jewish Rabbi, almost 1800 years before the official start of the Reform movement. We also agreed that all of us are the Children of 3 parents, with God doing the hard work of giving us life. I learned in another expensive lesson that each of us is entitled to decide whether we accept our parents or reject them. So those who could be our friends share with us their right to reject us. Life goes on.
There are many people who know the words but have no appreciation of what the words mean. They are all around us in every village or group. That makes those who are our friends all the more valuable and treasured in our lives. People who do not care about their own lives, health, safety and future can hardly be expected to care about ours. We are better without them.
R Thomasson says
@Frank Anderson. From your way of writing, it’s not difficult to realize you are a courteous, harmonious and helpful person for every normative community. Your upbringing is far above the level of the ones who had rejected you! You can see yourself as privileged to be born into a Masonic family. Though, the Masons – like the Jews – have recently become target for hatred. They are blamed to be part of the New World Order and have cruel plans to put the world under terror regime, etc. It is again the same bullshit that had put them during WWII in concentration camps. They are also targeted by Muslims and their radical lefty ANTIFA buddies. The Masonic Lodge in The Hague could since WWII live in harmony with the rest of the Dutch society. Once a year they held an Open-Door Day, and people could visit the lodge. My son had been there as a child with his class mates. Not any more! The windows are secured by heavy shutters for possible attack. As for the Jews, I personally think their behaviour and mentality hadn’t change much ever since the period before WWII. The Jewish community in The Netherlands is slowly perishing; especially the ones in the country side. Most members are people above 60 y.o. There are very few young people, or families with children. Still they permit themselves to chase away people whose ideas on some issues are different from their own. They are turning a blind eye to the growing harassments and physical aggression of Muslims toward them. They don’t do anything to protect themselves; the authorities have to do that for them; a mentality that stands 180° from the Israeli. Young religious Jews are living The Netherlands for Israel. As for the Jews of US, personally I think they are standing on the brink of Holocaust 2.0. They are surrounded by a zunami wave of hatred from whites and all minorities alike. Persons as Soros, Jeffrey Epstein, Weinstein, Bernard Madoff and other villains had given them extremely bad name. The present economic and general situation can unleash a wave of attacks on them. They are living on a volcano. As for God. HE HAS NO OBLIGATION TO NO ONE. He has to take care for a whole universe. Means: people have to take care of themselves, and hoop that God will help them
Frank Anderson says
R.T., For some reason I number my fathers by choice and do not number my mothers by choice. The number is only a matter of sequence but not rank. Six of my 7 fathers by choice that I have known in this life were Masons. I agree with your observations.
We are in dark times. The teaching I heard when television first came to my home and I was just about old enough to turn it on to tune it to the only local station came from a Catholic program aired 8 am Sunday mornings: “It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness.” Where can we light a candle today?
Frank Anderson says
R.T., Additional: I think you should be able to guess that I joined the Masonic fraternity at the first opportunity I had to remain in one place. Thanks to the generosity of a Brother, I was given a Life Membership. I was raised a Master Mason at a special meeting conducted on what would have been my official adopted father’s birthday in 1982. Like the Dale Carnegie program, Masonry does much assembling and organizing wisdom, which has been of great value to me, even before I was an official member.
The various motives ascribed by others are not true. I have seen every degree in the entire fraternity, except 2 honorary degrees. “A lodge is a place where good men meet to become better.” If you look at the history of Mexico, Central and South America, along with the history of the American Revolution, many Masons had prominent roles in establishing freedom from tyrannical governments.
If you watch any documentary that covers Nazi persecution, Masons were cursed in the same breath as Jews.
M. Ham says

@Frank Anderson. I am afraid there is no place any more, where we can light a candle. We need to bring the spirit of Winston Churchill back to life in order to defeat our enemies: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkTw3_PmKtc
Frank Anderson says
R.T., I MUST with courtesy and respect disagree-WE are candles. At a Jewish service the ritual starts with the candle blessing. One of the foundations of that blessing is that one candle can light another without losing its own flame. It is delusional to think we can illuminate the world in one stroke; but we can illuminate the world with thousands. Each time we help ONE person see what is going on and what is intended, that person will start lighting other candles along with us. We can win if we don’t give up.
Frank Anderson says
R.T, please think about some musing: Uniqueness creates value. There is at present only one Hagia Sophia. What would happen if there were dozens or even hundreds in every place Orthodox Christians gather?.
I am not Orthodox, and by what I understand to be the definition, also not Christian, even though I follow sincerely and devotedly the person Jesus as I understand him and have many treasured Christian friends and family. For that matter I am not considered Jewish. I believe with equal conviction that all of us who wish to live our lives in peace sharing liberty with those around us should be equally free to seek the guidance, inspiration and companionship of worship as we see fit.
The cost in time, money and effort to destroy the unique value of Hagia Sophia by replicating it in free, secure, hospitable locations would be far less than taking the one out of evil control.
Candles can be as small as a birthday cake candle or as large as a huge revered building.

All this find place in a faculty named “Ethnic Studies”. It is even more weird that the California Department of Education gives it’s approval. Compare it to a situation in which White supremacists are financing faculties for “Eugenic and Race Studies” who promote white supremacy. The students there hate all non-whites, support KKK and Nazi organizations, walk around with Swastika arm band, and professors teach from Mein Kampf and translated Nazi books on racial theories. All goes with the approval of Universities, and the California Board of Education agree upon the curriculum of these faculties? As it looks now, the whole situation stinks. It is everything, but normal. It will be a good idea if Donald Trump will close the money tap for universities who propagate enmity to USA, and start to regard them as terror hubs.

I don’t know how rational people in California are. I was shocked to find out a girl can go to Planned Parenthood for an abortion during school hours and by law the school is required to lie to the parents and say she is on campus. Same with boys and girls allowed during school and without parental permission to receive hormonal treatment for sex change. That said, it is a good idea to try to overturn this.
