So I posted this tweet and in terms of reach and engagement, it performed orders of magnitude better than any other tweet I've written before (I don't have many followers).
You can see the stats in the cover image. Here are my guesses as to why it did a lot better than my previous posts:
The whole thread can be summarised in one image, at the top of the thread. This type of image was inspired by the posts on https://twitter.com/visualizevalue
The thread is about lessons learned. People like learning from other people.
The message contradicts conventional wisdom. People pay attention to something that's the complete opposite to what seems normal.
It included suggested follows - links to a bunch of famous twitter accounts, and these are highly relevant recommendations. This got some of them liking the tweet, which made it visible to their followers.
It's a short thread - 4 tweets (the 5th was added much later), with short bullet-style sentences.
I'd love to test these hypotheses out.
What do you guys think? Anything else I should be testing?
Thanks for reading.

Thanks @anilkilic. Yes, I think #4 made the biggest impact on the tweet. Or perhaps
Worth testing this I think.
