*A Rockstar Romance*

Finding what others want to hide has been my lifeline for years.
So I don’t want to babysit a Rockstar, especially not one who thinks women are disposable.
I’ve never been good at keeping away from the Darling Devils.
Call it morbid curiosity but they fascinate me—he intrigues me. And Art Sweet, with his smoldering looks and wicked smile, is the most gorgeous of all. But if the scars on my face are inevitable for all to see, the ones in my heart are irreparable.
*
My beach cottage in the middle of winter should be the perfect place to organize my thoughts.
But complications rise when a sexy tomboy enters town.
She looks familiar. She feels perfect. And she sounds like the best song I could ever play. The only thing is, I’m not one to ask people to stay, and she’s not the kind to stop her life for anyone. So our story is bound to end before it even begins. And that’s seems to be the story of my life.

The heartbreaking love story of two invisible devils.

Art Sweet is the epitome of a Rockstar. Sex, drugs and rock n' roll is putting it lightly. He goes through women as if they are disposable. Because in his eyes, they are.

Enter Leo. She's different. She doesn't put up with bullshit or swoon over his rockstar status. She's not perfect but might just be perfect for him.

Leo and Art may be my favorite Darling Devils couple! They are both broken and lost. Together they find a connection neither of them expected.

Sweet reminds us that everyone has a past. Moments in time that have shaped them. Connections that never truly fade. We also learn that sometimes the past not only haunts you, it lingers right in front of your nose.

Sweet is the perfect conclusion to the Darling Devils series. I'm sad to see it end but so happy to have been along for the ride ❤️ A solid 5 star read!

It took me a little while to compile my thoughts into something that would adequately describe the feelings this book evokes. The hero is flawed. The heroine strong but broken. The story real yet extreme. All of it beautiful, poetic, and captivating. Gabrielle G. has a way with her words that weaves the reader into a world they didn't expect and holds them there with a story that is so unlike any other you cannot help but be sucked in. I will admit, I was wary of our hero. He starts out as an a**hole. No lie. But within pages you quickly learn he is SO much more than that.
This story is meant to be read to the very last page, and I can promise you, you will not regret giving it your heart and your time.
I loved this trilogy and hope for more of these amazing, heartfelt, and beautiful characters! A total five star, must read!

This story was definitely unexpected but nonetheless brilliant 😊 and definitely what you expect for a hot shot rockstar 😍

But it's always the quiet ones who can sometimes hold darkness within and put on a front for those around them,

Art Sweet - Gorgeous, brooding and a bit of a shite bag well that's what you're lead to believe however the realisation that he's just lost, feeling pushed aside and afraid of being alone proves you should never judge before truly knowing someone.

Leo - Such a strong courageous woman who faced difficulties in her past of feeling unwanted, a burden but something that didn't define her instead made her stronger until she let her guard down while babysitting Sweet, and turned both their worlds upside down.

They say true love is never easy but always worth fighting for ❤

Gabrielle G... She had me fall for Darling. Swoon for Trouble. But I bow down to Sweet. He stole my heart and is my favorite Darling Devil. Art and Leo have amazing chemistry. Both have issues, they are both broken and flawed. The pair seem to fill the cracks when within each others presence. Leo is a bad arse heroine and I love how she can hold her own against anyone. Her smart mouth and attitude is a major turn on. I had major girl crushing vibes for her. I can’t get enough of this series. This is one not to be missed. The steam. The twists. The drama. It all makes for a SWEET must read!

I had no idea what to expect from Art Sweet's story but Gabrielle G delivered the perfect one for him!

Sweet is a story about a rockstar who is a bit lost. Art sees everyone finding their happy and can't figure out what is bothering him. In an attempt to get away from it all he finds Leo. Leo tries everything she can to hide herself from the Darling Devils but this Devil won't let her.

The dynamic written about Art and Lars had me questioning so much about what I thought I knew about the pair. When the secrets really start to unfold so much is answered and everything written makes sense. With all the what if moments they have to learn to navigate with the truth to be set free from the past.

This group has been through so much turmoil and drama and they are all so wonderfully connected I feel like I've lived a lifetime with them! This book did a great job in tying up all three stories about these rock legends and I'm going to miss them and all their antics.

Gah, I love Gabrielle G's words. She puts together words in such a way you are immediately immersed in the painful, sometimes funny, but always meaningful world of her story. I have concluded that this series about the Darling Devils is one of the best I've read. There are so many reasons for this statement, but mostly because all the stories were like kaleidoscopes of movement and change. Art and Leo's story is no different.

Art has been going through some changes, as we know from Trouble. In Trouble, we learned a rift was forming between Lars and Art, but we only saw this from Lars' POV. Even now, it takes much of the book for us to truly understand what is going on in Art's mind and heart. Art is a love with his whole being type of guy. His devotion to Dan and Lars is so touching, but he's adrift. It's as though he doesn't know himself right now, so he's going through the motions of being who he thinks he's supposed to be until he sees her eyes.

We met Leo in Mended, and honestly, it was the best introduction ever. If you have not read Mended--DO IT NOW! I loved Leo immediately, and she is the coolest ever. Slowly, bit by bit, Leo is revealed to us, and Art. They combust--there's no other way to describe it. In between, she whittles down Art's ego and acting out with her dry wit. Leo loves fiercely but must keep up her walls she's constructed to hold herself together. Art immediately blasts through those walls.

From this point, to tell more would be spoilers. However, it's a breathtakingly beautiful story with laughter and tears. It brings full-circle the Darling Devils and does it so satisfyingly you aren't totally sad to see the series end. One of my favorite things about Gabrielle's words is nothing is solved overnight. People must grow, people must adapt; people must battle alone to discover and be ready for their lives. Sometimes they have typical HEAs, but often they don't; they have their own HEAs suited to their lives, careers, passions, and each other. The beauty that is a Gabrielle G novel is the differences and uniqueness that draws you in and leaves you happily breathless.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS

I am sad that this is the final instalment in The Darling Devils series. But Gabrielle G. concludes this series with a SWEET rhapsody! Art and Leo's story was electrifying. They make quite the pair with their fractured pieces, but together are somehow whole. Leo is by far, one of my favorite heroines of Gabrielle G.'s. You definitely want to read this book, you will revel in this rockstar romance! Sweet by Gabrielle G. is an EPIC read that will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!

This book was by far the third most realistic book I’ve read in a long time! The ages of everyone, the timeline, the events all seem too real to be in a book! Love love loved every minute of it!

I read this series completely out of order and I’m totally okay with that! Something told me that this would be my favorite book out of them all. Of course I will go back and read the rest BUT, this book did NOT disappoint!

Art had a problem! The book started off with said problem that lead to many more. He was sex on a stick, could woo you with his eyes, and his talent on the guitar would knock your panties off.

Leo was hands down the second best strong leading woman character I’ve had to pleasure of meeting! She was bad to the bone! It makes you wonder how did she become to be the way she was and how her and Art’s lives would entwine!

Every character in this book brought something to the table whether it was putting in their two sense or helping someone in need, they were one big dysfunctional family...just kidding, they were all great in the end!

I’m not giving ANYTHING away about Sweet and Leo’s story because you need to read it! Their relationship was complex from when it all started which you will see it’s not as it seems!

The plot twist to their story was totally unexpected and one of the best! The ending was even better because it was so unexpected! Do yourself a favor and read this book, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

Cheers to Sweet and Leo’s story!

This was my very first book by Gabrielle G. and it definitely won’t be the last! Now, onto me getting the first two books!

Happy Reading!

𝕊𝕥𝕠𝕣𝕪𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕖: Art Sweet, drummer for The Darling Devils, is on a downward spiral after a near fatal car accident. Realizing that he’s now the last single member of his rock and has him questioning his place within the once tightly knit trio.

Leo has her eyes on Sweet. Not because he’s as hot as sin itself, but because she’s getting paid to do so by his PR lawyer. Sweet is a loose canon right now and it’s Leo’s job to keep him off the press’s radar. However, her libido seems to be as recalcitrant as her charge—it’s getting fought to lockdown with every minute she spends with Art.

Will these two be able to find a sense of harmony together? Or will any hope for this relationship-averse duo go down in flames before they can even get started?

After reading the blurb I wasn't really sure what to expect it was deliberately vague and intrigued me. If ever a man was living upto the rockstar image it is Art Sweet. My first impressions were me cursing him in several languages honestly he is an absolute shit. However once you get beneath the bluster and bravado is man who feels lost and disconnected from his friends. Then there is Leo the keeper of so many secrets a strong woman who apart from her brother has always felt unwanted and unloved. i absolutely loved how Gabrielle wrote these two. I felt like I got to know them very well the reader gets inside their heads and it's a very crowded place emotionally. These two don't just meet they collide, get ready guys because this is a not an easy safe love story it is one of painful truths that need to be dealt with before they can get a HEA.

Asher is a successful Rockstar who appears to be livings a charmed life as he has embraced all the perks that go along with it. Appearances can be deceiving as he hides his insecurities behind a demeanor of confidence both when it comes to life and love. With his world changing around him he doesn’t know what that means for him but when he meets Leo, she may just hold the answers he has been seeking.

Leo hasn’t let her past define her, but instead it has made her more fierce and resilient. In order to protect herself she allows people only so close before she backs away and although her head is telling her to keep her distance from Asher her heart isn’t listening.

Two people with so many reasons not to be together find the one reason that they should. Their journey was filled with hot chemistry, a few obstacles and all the feels as they realize the only thing that really matters is each other.

‪Once again Gabrielle G delivers an emotionally raw rockstar romance as only she can. With all the heartbreak, scars, and baggage that the real world has to offer. ‬
‪Art Sweet grabbed on to the rockstar persona with both hands and lived that life without apologizes. After the first chapter or two I dubbed him the most “punchable” character to date. I wasn’t sure if I could ever like him, let alone fall for him.‬
‪Leo, on the other hand, with her attitude about men and life in general had my attention from the word go. The more I learned about her the more I admired her and everything she overcame and stood for.‬
‪I won’t say that I ever actually fell for Sweet but I will say that I fell for Art and Leo as a couple. As I read the twists and turns of their lives I slowly began to understand them. As the truths surfaced I was both shocked and awed at the same time. It’s hard to let go of the Darling Devils but I will say this was a perfect ending to their story.‬

This book is a conclusion to The Darling Devils series.
This is Art Sweet's story.
No, let me rephrase it, it's a damn hot, raw and emotional Sweet's story.
He lives according to the motto Sex, Drugs & Rock & Roll.
But hey, we're talking about a rock star here, so he lives to his reputation or whatever helps him sleep at night, right?

Wrong, so wrong...

Art, the sweet sex on legs Art, who is the dream of all female fans, downplays his importance or status in the band. He doesn't think he is of significance for the band.
What he knows and loves is the rock star lifestyle. Insignificant sex and parties is what he knows, understands and needs.
He feels alone and abandoned after his band mates found love, has own homes and are happy without the lifestyle and one thing what he definitely can't stand is not being part in his band mates HEA's.
Sweet can't be alone, he needs people he loves in his life, but not the homy version of them though, till...😈

Leo is a badass woman who does what and when she wants.
She is an one "man" army with an unbelievable intellect and espionage-like abilities others can only dream of.
She is definitely not a rock star grupie type and doesn't need men to be content with her life.
But Leo has secrets, a lot of them.
She got lost in the dark world a long time ago and worked a long time to create this version of herself.
And then her job leads her to Art Sweet...😈

Yes, I'm loving teasing you like that 🤭
This book is exactly like a real rock star romance should be.
Raw, real, sinful hot and romantic.
I loved every single sweet and steamy second of this book 🧡🧡🧡

I have adored the Darling Devils right from the start they are everything rock and roll. Glam nights of partying and wild girls. But what happens when you've become the one who hasn't found love and you're left alone. This rock star life was so fun but now no one comes when you're hurt and your habits take a dark turn towards destruction.

Trust me when I say that Art Sweet is the worst kind of devil. The beyond gorgeous one with the insatiable silver tongue and the deep hurts that you can't see. Be careful with him.

Leo knows to be careful, she's been an outsider to the world of the Devils for a long time. She's supposed to be watching him and making sure he doesn't completely spiral out of control. She's the perfect voyeur until she's seen. Leo does not want to be seen as the hurts in her heart are too visible and raw and uncomfortable.

As the secrets in this one start to unravel and I could not stop reading, I remember that Gabrielle is having a laugh at my suffering and need to know. I'm not sure how she writes them so beautifully flawed and relatable that I'm heart broken with each character. I have loved these boys and their evolving family dynamic and this one was just a beautiful ending to the Darling Devils.

Universal

One damaged rockstar who enjoys the lifestyle. One equally damaged badass woman. Together the two are fire. Alas, they cannot really have each other, at least, not at this point in time. Will they ever be on the same page at the same time?

Dang but this one! Twisty, seriously emotionally intense, so sexy. I loved it. I loved Leo most of all, she's so strong, such a fierce badass. Perfect for damaged, vulnerable Art.

The 3rd book in the Darling Devils series, Art Sweet is dodging his bandmates and trying to "figure" out his next step. When you hear rock star, there are the typical impressions or negative portrayals of a rock star, drugs, sex, trouble etc. Art Sweet is pretty much that. Leo is hired to keep an eye on him, to find out what's wrong and why he's going down the path he's been heading. Leo and Art have met before, but he can't place it.

The author writes real, raw stories and she does it well. The intertwining of characters from her other books always puts a smile on my face. The storyline between Art and Leo was interesting, I was antsy and needed know the how their lives crossed together in the past. I wasn't very fond of Art in the beginning but towards the back half of the story, he became the best version of himself towards the end. I liked being in his head about his feelings for his girl. This was a good addition to the Darling Devils series. I think it could be read as a standalone, but definitely better to get the full picture if you read the rest of the guys stories.

This is the last book in the Darling Devil’s series and it’s Art Sweet’s story. Last, but not least. Sweet is sex on legs, and is totally living up on his rockstar picture: sex, drugs and Rock’n’Roll. And a lot. A bit too much... and I must admit that I absolutely did not like him in the beginning. But this is also something this author is known for: writing about ‘non like able’ people, because she wants to provoke feelings out of you. And she does, flawlessly I might add, so all for the win.
Leo is hired to have an eye on Sweet so he doesn’t spiral out of control. She has her own baggage and secrets. There’s a lot of chemistry between these two, and they can’t resist. Even tho there might be trouble in the end!

Secrets get uncovered, and a lot of truths comes out. This is a great conclusion book in this series, and hopefully they all can live a happily ever after!!

Sweet is the final book in the Darling Devils' series, and it surrounds Art Sweet, the rock star who hasn't impressed me with his drugs, disposable women, and rock & roll. However, his story definitely makes this statement true, there's more to it than meets the eye. He has demons that he doesn't know how to deal with so he lashes out when he's upset. It takes a girl named Leo to actually help him. She has her own demons, but she's not one of those women who is all star struck when it comes to rock stars. Gabrielle G. has actually penned a rock star series which isn't all fun & games, as it's more raw, gritty, and realistic, because fame is not all it's cracked up to be, so kudos to her for that. I do believe I've taken up enough of your time, so just hit those one click buttons to experience all of this goodness for yourselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

4 star review Sweet (Darling Devils#3) by Gabrielle G

Gabrielle G is a new author to me and I have no idea what I have not come across her before. When time permits I will be reading the other books in this series.

What an emotional roller coaster of a read Sweet was. I was hooked on the story that she wove about rock star Art Sweet and the woman who would ease his demons, Leo.

Initially I didn’t like Art, he was an absolute jerk but Ms.G brought me around and I found myself fascinated by the man behind the rock star. Art has been a typical rock star, plenty of drugs, one night stands and caring little for the women he sleeps with.

Meeting Leo, she holds her own and refuses to pander to his rock star actions, I really liked that about her. Both of them have been broken, could they help one another heal and in doing so forge a path together?

This is the 3rd book in this awesome series and is Art and Leo’s story. Art is sexy and a womanizer who is a Rockstar that loves the lifestyle that comes with fame, but he is flawed and he needs people arounds him and is feeling a little lost as his bandmates have all found love with their significant others’. Leo is strong and broken, and when she wants something, she goes to get it with all guns blazing, but she also has some challenges to overcome along the way. This is a beautifully written tale which this author has done an outstanding job in penning, and this story is heartfelt, raw, gritty, emotional, steamy, and with love, which all had me totally enthralled throughout this amazing story, and I highly recommend for all.

I legitimately binge read this series in three days!! It was that good!! If you love rock stars, drama, studs in their early forties, and add in romance this is the book for you!!

Art is a bassist in one the most popular bands around. He has watched not only one band mate fall in love but both of them. Art feels like he needs to get away and be by himself. He goes to his out at his parents place, but finds himself not really alone.

Leo is on another job, but this time she is going to be a babysitter for a Rockstar. She has been warned to stay away and nothing but trouble can come out of this. With her baggage and who she, staying away would be the best thing. Right?

Not So Sweet

Book 3 in this series is not unicorns and rainbows, in fact it's sex and drugs without the rock & roll. A secret realized sends Art Sweet going off the deep end leaving the Darling Devil's in question
Nevermind that his band mates are settling down and not partying like it's 1999 anymore Art is having the ultimate pity party. Leo, a/k/a Eleanor is a mess but with major secrets of her own, it made sense for these two wounded hearts to heal each other. I will miss the Darling Devils and hope to see them again.
P.S. Gabrielle G Are you seriously leaving us in the dark about what's going on with Anna????

Wow!! That was the perfect story for Art Sweet, from the outset he’s a bit of a butthead but we learn there is a whole lot more to him. His love interest is feisty and a little broken herself. These to come together and find a way to move past the things that have been plaguing them. You will laugh you will cry and you will definitely be hooked from the first page. I fell in love with Dan Darling then Lars Trouble took the top spot and I can safely say the Art Sweet has come in a stolen it again.

The Darling Devils series shouldn't end... But every story has to come to an end (eventually)

Art is basically every female's dream man. He's a wild man, and who doesn't love a sexy, wild one? ;)
Leo on the other hand is a femme fatale (in my view) who knows what she wants and gets it no matter what the circumstances are. I love how she had to overcome so much to become the person she is and nothing and nobody will take that away from her.
Gabrielle G. rocked my world with this story (just like she always does, it's nothing new...) but this book is everything a rockstar romance should be.

Get it, read it, and thank me later!

What a very sweet story that ends this beautiful series. This is a story that will have your thoughts on a adventure of life, love. This story will melt your heart.

The long awaited story of Art Sweet! It took me quite a few days after reading this one to write the review. We find out what happened at the end of Trouble with him. And we meet Leo aka Eleanor. She is linked closely with someone Art knows...I can’t write a lot in this review without spoiling it. This was a decent book. I was hoping for more. I do like the issues it addressed and I really liked Leo who is an independent woman. This one didn’t quite stay with me or affect me like Darling or Trouble did. I did like its message of not living for anyone else and of course that it completes the story of the Darling Devils!

Fast Moving Rocker Romance ...
As a reader I was always particular about starting a new series with the first book, but as a blogger that has gone out the window which in most case was ok, but not so with Gabrielle G’s rocker series, Darling Devils. Starting with the third book, Sweet, I feel as though I’ve missed out on the dynamics of Art Sweet and his band mates as I joined him at the start of his story as he’s high tailing it out of town and blow jobbing his way across the US to his parent’s beach cottage in Massachusetts.

It’s written in my favourite dual POV because I love being in the characters head, and holy crap on a cracker, being in Sweet’s head at this time was a particularly disturbing place to be! The guy was selfish and disillusioned, lucky to have friends, and he treated barely legal girls like disposable tissues. He was no romantic hero, and in my mind, there was no place to go but up.

I also saw though, his vulnerability, and what I did miss from not reading the earlier books was his relationship with his bandmates. And I also believed that his manager had more than a financially invested interest in him than just the potential break-up of Darling Devils. Perhaps there was a friendship there even. That is what why I would advise going to the beginning of the series and starting with the first book, Darling, which is where I’m going after finishing this.

Our main female lead was amazingly strong and had overcome a history of pain like you wouldn’t believe. Hers is a story of so many, and I believe that the author told it beautifully, and, I loved her dedication to the cover at the back. Leo has such a tangled history with the group that she had been actively trying to avoid her entire life, and this really piqued my interest! I just had to know what was going on. Unfortunately for her, their manager was her close friend and had been using her investigative skills to help get around tricky situations with the group, further entangling her even as she tried to actively avoid any involvement.

Ms G’s writing had a very different flow about it, and took some time for me to get into it, but this was one that took me by surprise and completely engaged me. Art Sweet had a depth and vulnerability to him that came out of left field, and if there is something I love most, it is to have my mind changed about a character that I’d pre-judged. It was great stuff.

5-stars for the fast-moving rocker romance from new-to-me author Gabrielle G.

I’m new to Gabrielle G, but also to The Darling Devils Series. To better prepare myself for Sweet I binged Darling and Trouble. Just in case anything in those books were relevant to Sweet. I’m so glad I did! Reading them back to back enhanced the story for me. I understood why Art was struggling so much in this book. The Darling Devils all have a vulnerable side you wouldn’t necessarily expect to see in seasoned, bad boy rock stars. Vulnerability and sensitivity don’t scream rock star.

Gabrielle takes you deep with this series. If you’ve read the first two books, you know how deep she delves. Art was so much more damaged than I expected. After seeing things play out in Trouble I had a slight suspicion what Art would be feeling or experiencing, but this was on another level. He’s even more broken than he realizes.

Enter Leo. This woman is Art’s perfect match. His other half. She’s strong, independent, fierce, blunt... and just as damaged as he is. They recognize each other on a primal level. Art and Leo have felt unloved and invisible. Always in the shadows. They know they’ve met their match, but for their own reasons they know they can’t have each other. Since I read the first two books recently I picked up on some clues and figured out Leo’s reasons. At least to a certain extent. What a great plot twist.

Leo decides to share her truths with Art. Unfortunately, it signals the end for them and causes Art to spiral out of control. His time with Leo remains a secret and he’s distanced from his band mates. He’s in a really bad place. Can Art dig his way out from rock bottom and find a way to happiness with his woman?

Not one thing in Art and Leo’s story was expected. I enjoyed how unique and surprising their journey was. There were so many moving parts that all joined cohesively into a beautiful, unconventional love story. And let me tell you. When Art’s eyes are finally opened and he sees how loved he really is (with a little help from a certain someone) I cried. My shoulders were shaking. The emotions just overflowed.

Solid 4 stars. I truly enjoyed the world I jumped into with this series. The characters and their relationships with friends and other supporting characters made me want more. I love that some of these supporting characters already have books. Looks like another binge may be in my future.

Sweet is the third and last book in the Darling Devils series. Art has “run away” from the band after being released from the hospital and he’s trying to come to terms with the changes in his bandmates’ lives. Leo has been hired to keep an eye on him and they have an instant connection. Will past secrets tear them apart?

Art has always been the cliché version of rock star: sex, drugs, and rock and roll, and I wasn’t too sure I was going to be able to like him. However, after reading his story, I can now empathize with him and understand his actions. He feels left out because everyone is moving on and he’s resentful. He’s been deeply hurt and the only way he knows how to handle things is to lash out. When he meets Leo, she challenges him and he finds himself wanting to get closer to her.

Leo had a painful childhood and she has risen above it to become a strong, independent woman. She can take care of herself and has a shield in place to protect her from being hurt again. While she has so much strength, she is also insecure and feels that no one in her life will ever choose her.

Watching these two broken people forge a relationship felt deeply personal. They tear out your heart and you can feel the pain they are in. They truly understood each other and it felt like they were each other’s missing half.

I am sad to say goodbye to the Darling Devils. Gabrielle G paints a realistic picture of a rock star and shows that their lives are not all champagne and roses. Sweet was raw, gritty and emotional and a perfect ending to the series.
