What an ending! Reid and Lorna have such a special bond. I truly enjoyed their story.

Wow, this book has a lot of action and just as much emotion. Great twists and turns and written with such passion you could feel everything that was happening. As pieces begin to fit together and everything unfolds, there were times I was holding my breath and times I was met with intense emotion. These characters have all burrowed into my heart and as I watch them grow together, their bonds and the love they share is truly heartwarming.

What a fantastic, action filled, heartfelt ending to this amazing series. This Sparrow world has been my favorite of Aleatha’s and I will miss these endearing characters.

Great story but romance was a bit too over the top!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚💙💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📘📗📕📙
World building: 🌏🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

The setting: Chicago

The Hero: Reid Murray - works for Sterling Sparrow, who is the Kingpin of the underworld in Chicago. Sparrow also has some legitimate businesses. Reid is the Tech Specialist. He is married to Lorna and has been for 12 years.

The heroine: Lorna Murray - her brother and her husband work for Sparrow, and Lorna is sort of the house manager for the Sparrow building where they live. She cooks, cleans, makes sure they have everything they need, etc..

The Love Story: Reid and Lorna are in love and married. In the first book “Dusk”, Lorna and Sterling’s wife Araneae, were kidnapped, Sterling’s wife was pregnant and returned home much earlier than Lorna, who was badly beaten and near death. In the second book “Dark” she was dealing with PTSD and Reid was trying to help her through it.

The kidnappers got the wrong women, they were trying to kidnap Lorna’s sister in law. Lorna’s brother Mason also works for Sparrow and her sister in law Lauren is working on some sort of memory formula which the kidnappers also were trying to perfect. Though I don’t really understand why since they seem to have the formula working better than Lauren’s. A big part of Lorna’s PTSD, were her memory holes since she was given the formula.

This book seemed to me to be a bit of a crime novel, with different sides working on the same crime. The crime was the abduction of the women but it turns out to be much more than that where seemingly disconnected things are found to be connected. Through most of the book, Mason and Reid are trying to solve the mystery of who took the women and why.

As the guys follow leads and mete out justice, Lorna and Araneae are trying to get their memories back in order to help and also working through the PTSD. The book alternates between these with each pair revealing more of the inner connections and between the memories and the investigation, there is some romance, a bit of steam and way too many over the top declarations of love and adoration between Reid and Lorna.

I found the romance to be boring between the 12 year married couple who both can’t seem to get over how much they cherish each other and their life together. Note this is all in the midst of Lorna remembering her terrible childhood and her kidnapping. I liked the storyline about the PTSD, memory and the guys out searching for justice, but I just wasn’t in to the lovey-dovey romance. Luckily the romantic scenes were few.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Dawn is the epic conclusion of The Dangerous Web Trilogy.
I have followed the sparrow world characters from the beginning and I love each and every one of them!
I can not ever say how much I truly love Aleatha's writing.
I am always left with a lingering need to go and read it again.

Dawn was FULL of twists, turns and some serious nail-biting suspense.
I FREAKING LOVED IT!

Dawn started where Dark ended and that was on a freaking cliffhanger that took my breath away.

Reid and Lorna Murray. The Tech man and the resident sweetheart! They are the best! I truly wanted more of them.

I don't want to give anything away but you must read The trilogy and you MUST read Dawn.
To get a full grasp on Dawn its best to read Dusk and Dark first.
Also the Prequel to the trilogy Danger's First Kiss.

ღ wow this was one hell of dramatic conclusion to the Dangerous Web trilogy….

I had a hard time reading this book, cuz I knew that I was no longer gonna see the Sparrow gang … think about it , a 12 book interconnected series…four sexy alphas & 4 strong females in one glass tower

I pretty much sat on the edge of my seat and quite literally, wanted to throw my Kindle across the room few more times than I liked. There are so many twists, turns, layers that occur within this book, within this trilogy

What an explosive Epilogue

It was like walking into the fucking early morning sunshine after a long dark night. It was raising your face to the sky and feeling the warmth on your skin. It was the dawn of a new day.
Thank you so much Aleatha Romig what amazon job

📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion+ Also I wouldn’t never discourage anyone from reading this book.Happy Reading --- Enjoy

Dawn, was not only the last part of the Dangerous Web trilogy, but also the great finale of the Web series from A. Romig.
Lorna was the first woman who entered the Sparrow Glass Tower and the last to rang down the curtain on all the Web series.

My anxiety reached high levels with all the suspense and twists that took place in this story. All the pieces of the puzzle were put together, however I wanted more information regarding Missy, Lorna’s lost sister.

Reid and Loran made a beautiful couple, had been through a lot but managed to come out great winners!

While I am happy that I was able to experience another suspenseful romantic journey by this author, at the same time I am really sad that I have to wave goodbye to the fabulous Sparrow world... 💞

I'm going to miss the Sparrow Crew!

I have enjoyed getting to know more about Reid and Lorna through this series, when I read the other books in the Sparrow Web I wondered if we would eventually get their story because they were already married so I am thrilled that Aleatha Romig decided to go forth and give it to us and holy cow what a trilogy it was.

In Dawn, the Conclusion to the Dangerous Web Trilogy, we get all the answers we craved. Lorna and Araneae are still trying to get all of their memories back from their abduction and while Lorna is sorting through those memories other memories come back that she suppressed from her childhood.

Reid is the tech genius for Sparrow's Organization so it's rare that he goes out in the field but since this has to do with his wife nothing is holding him back. Let's just say that Mason and Reid work well together.

I am so sad to see that this group's story's have ended. I really hope that somewhere in the future Ms. Romig gifts us with an update on them. Maybe a novella or heck, I'd be thrilled with another trilogy with a certain sister being involved.

If you enjoy dark, suspenseful romances I recommend this trilogy to you.

Happy Reading!!!

Dawn picks up right where Dark ended, Gordon Maples told Zella to let Mrs Stevens keep the baby while she goes to the bank to get info for the winnings they "supposedly" won. Well after Reid & Mason tortured Maples, coming out the house they found out who Mrs Stevens really was.

As the Sparrows race to find out who was causing chaos around Chicago and figuring out who kidnapped their wives, they soon found out that all the chaos & kidnapping entwined with all that was going on in Chicago. Lots of twist and turns as they also prepare for Patrick & Madelene's baby. The Order is what the assassin came from and they wanted to take the Sparrows down. What they didn't realize is Sterling Sparrow kingpin of Chicago, Patrick, Mason & Reid his right & left hand men wouldn't stop at anything to protect everything under their glass castle & the city of Chicago.

Thanks Aleatha can't wait to see what's next, I will definitely miss the Kingpin of Chicago & the SparrowS!!!

I absolutely love this series! Like the first two books in the series, Dawn is a very exciting, suspenseful story that's hard to put down once you started reading them. I like the twists and turns. You think you have it figured out and the author takes it in another direction. Reid and Lorna's story is one for the books and I enjoyed every minute of it. And also, the reader gets the answers and some shocking revelations too, that are neatly wrapped up by the last page. This author never disappoints when it comes to romantic suspense stories.

If you enjoy great characters and a masterful blending of plots that holds your attention from beginning to end, I highly recommend that you read every book in the series.

5 “A New Day Always Dawns” Stars

The third book in this trilogy and did not disappoint. It started right where Dusk left off and it kept going and going until the end. It was full of passion, suspense, danger, loyalty, conviction and love.

While this is Reid and Lorna’ story, the entire Sparrow family was a very big part of the story as well. The sense of family was ever present all time. It was like 2 stories woven together. The way that they are all a huge family that will fight and protect one another is embedded in the story and made it all the more gripping and passionate.

I loved the ending and felt truly satisfied leaving the Sparrow world. It checked all my HEA boxes and it was quite the adventure.

Sterling, Araneae, Patrick, Madeline, Ruby, Mason, Laurel, Reid and Lorna, I will truly miss you guys but am happy where you all landed in life and I can’t thank you enough sharing your trials and tribulations. You all truly Aleatha’d the world wonderfully.

Wow! Aleatha Romig is a master story teller. The puzzle pieces are now all in place. Click, this one goes here, click this one goes here. And voila the big picture is revealed.

How dare people threaten my Sparrows? I was raging. They hurt Lorna, they hurt Araneae. Then Reed! I wanted blood. And blood I got.

The conclusion to Dangerous Web trilogy was fantastic but it also concludes the Sparrow world books. I’ve come to love this wonderful group of friends. Sterling Sparrow, the King, scary and fierce but protective of his band of brothers and the women they love. Araneae, his queen, level headed and kind. Mason Pierce, the cold blooded assassin, once lost but returned to the love of his Sparrow family. Laurel, the genius with a heart of pure gold who just wants to heal the wounded. Patrick Kelly, the thoughtful one who makes sure everyone is taken care of. Madeline, oh Maddie girl, she’s as tough as nails because she’s a survivor. Reid Murray, Mr cool, calm and collected, reliable, trustworthy and as sexy as sin. And Lorna, sweet, beautiful Lorna. The mother hen. The glue that holds everyone and everything together. I’m going to miss my host of Sparrrows.

“Lorna’s capacity to love unconditionally didn’t make her an island unto herself. It made her a fountain where everyone around her drank.”

The ending is perfect. Just perfect.

“Life doesn’t always give us an easy journey. Sometimes paths converge and other times they take us astray. All we can do is our best, what we believe our best can be, striving for that goal that helps not only ourselves but others.”

Fabulous ending to Reid and Lorna's tale.
As part of the Sparrow family, Lorna and Reid live in the Sparrow glass tower, trying to avoid danger and enemies, but sometimes bad things find them anyway.
These characters were put through so many trials and tribulations, at times it was agonizingly painful to witness what was happening to them. There was mystery and espionage, traitors and alliances, all wrapped up in the love this "family" has for each other and how far they will go to protect one another.
I highly recommend this series!

This is not just the final book in the Dangerous Web series, it is also the conclusion in the Sparrow world. I for one am sad to see it end. This group of alpha men and the women they love are a strong group that has stronger ties than most families.
As Lorna and Reid navigate through the ordeal that she went through, things will happen and people will try to bring down the Sparrow world. This story is heartbreaking as Lorna tries to get back the time she has lost, she doesn't feel safe. She wants to remember what happened during the time she can't remember.
I loved this series and the way they intertwine with the others that I wish there were more Sparrows just to keep the world alive. Each of the series is intense, dangerous, intriguing, romantic and full of suspense. You don't have to read them in order but I would recommend it. So sit back and enjoy the roller coaster ride that is the Sparrow World and the driver is author Aleatha Romig.

What a Freaking Perfect Ending!!!!
I was left gaping....how didn't I see that coming...
All the puzzle fit perfectly...all my questions are answered...Reid and Lorna's story was filled with twisted turns and Mystery filled but the ending gave me a peaceful satisfying HEA vibes.

Reid and Lorna's peaceful life ( well, as peaceful as it can be when your man in mafia.) goes out of control when she was kidnapped...but now that she's back...things should have started to go for the better right? A big no!!!
The action and drama is just starting and her husband with the sparrow family is out for blood...so many mysteries and secrets will be thrown their way to blind them...but in the end...the sparrows always win..

I am gonna miss these men...a 12 book interconnected series...and I was in from the beginning...I hope Author Romig has more stored for us in this same world...( a girl can dream...😜😛.)

What an ending to an ending! Reid and Lorna’s story isn't just an ending, it's a conclusion to the Sparrow series. There are many twists, turns, layers that occur within this book that had me holding my breath, on the edge of my seat and quite literally wanting to throw up or throw my Kindle but the ending was just incredible! Lorna and Reid were characters whom were likable, real and endearing. This was really a great way to end the trilogy, in fact, end the series by Aleatha Romig. Dawn was completely full of feels, secrets, twists, chemistry, suspense, intrigue, action, romance, heat, family dynamics, emotions, angst, romance , love and HEA.

My Rating: 4.7 stars *********

Dawn is the conclusion to this crazy, intense, high adrenaline series that gives our sparrow family the closure they have been fighting for throughout this whole book series.

If you weren't already in love with Lorna and Reid from the beginning of Secrets then you will be completely smitten by the end of Dawn.

It really is crazy how Aleatha managed to bring all the books in the Web series together and have you go through so much emotions while reading about her characters and their back stories. This series was one that you wish would come to life on tv, it was one of the best action packed series that was hard to put down.

ALEATHA ROMIG SPINS A SINFULLY DELIGHTFUL WEB OF SUSPENSE IN THIS CONCLUSION TO LORNA & REID'S STORY!

Since the very start of this 12 book series, I was swiftly indoctrinated into the Sparrow world and came to embrace each member of this Chicago King’s family just as rapidly. I became part of their trusted inner circle, and like all of the Sparrow women, fell captive to the glass tower in the sky along with the men who ruled their empire from within those protective walls. Now, in this final book of this series’ final trilogy, “Dawn” doesn’t just deliver an explosive conclusion to Lorna & Reid’s story, but it gives rise to a beacon of light after the darkest of storms to the entire Sparrow clan.

While each member of this Sparrow clan has their own unique story, Lorna and Reid’s journey has been special from the start. Theirs is not the Disney fairytale we learned about as kids, but it is a heartfelt fairytale, nonetheless. Despite the monsters—past and present—Lorna and Reid’s love continues to glow bright, ensuring that even the darkest evil will not prevail. Boasting lots of twists and turns and plenty of suspense, "Dawn" is a sinfully delightful conclusion to this prince and princess' HEA saga.

Although I am deeply saddened to bid farewell to the entirety of the Sparrow world, I have thoroughly enjoyed the time I’ve spent with each and every member of my Sparrow “family.” My sincere thanks to author Aleatha Romig for breathing life into these perfectly imperfect characters and for delivering some of the best dark and twisted stories that I have read to date. That said, I look forward to reading whatever new stories this author has planned, just waiting on the horizon to be written.

You should read Dusk and Dawn. As each book carries the characters over. Each book adds more to the plot.

Dawn - What a perfect way to end this trilogy. Truth and answer although some may be tough to face. The sparrows get through whatever ordeal is paved before them.

My first Aleatha read was Web of Desire. And I have been hooked since.

In many ways, I do not know where to even start with this review. Dawn is the completion of the trilogy of Lorna and Reid's love story and the ending to the twelve book saga that is the Sparrow Webs.

Let's start with my love for Lorna and Reid! They are Aleatha's first distinctly written interracial couple and story. This was also a story about an established couple that readers have been introduced to as a married couple in previous trilogies to have this trilogy deconstruct their love and put it back together. I was all for it. I knew that Lorna and Reid were the glue that kept the Sparrow Webs together, but this trilogy shows how much that statement is true.

The ending of this saga is bittersweet, and true fans of Aleatha will miss this world, but I am sure in true Aleatha fashion, we will hear about these characters as easter eggs in future books.

4.5 stars--DAWN is the third and final instalment in Aleatha Romig’s contemporary, adult DANGEROUS WEB erotic, romantic suspense trilogy set in the author’s SPARROWS WEB WORLDS. This is the continuing story of Reid Murray, and his wife Lorna Pierce-Murray. DAWN should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of book two DARK. You do not have to have read the previous series to understand or follow the current time line but once again, I recommend reading the other series in the Sparrow Webs World for back story and cohesion, as the current story line references things that have happened in the other trilogies.

WARNING: Due to the graphic nature of the storyline premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Lorna and Reid) with one chapter from Gordon Maples, DAWN follows the search for the truth, and the struggle to stay one step ahead of the people determined to destroy them all. Believing Sparrow and his partners are the ultimate target the men quickly discover that the women they love are vulnerable to attack, and the systems that Sparrow, Mason, Patrick and Reid have put into place have been compromised leaving the women exposed. As Lorna’s brother , and her husband Reid seek revenge for the sister and woman they love, years of secrets and lies reveal betrayal and abuse at every level. With their families growing and expanding, Sparrow and his partners must step up and end the game before another move threatens the people they love. Someone from the past is determined to right a wrong, aiming at the glass tower and the Sparrow Cartel.

DAWN is a strong, engrossing and intriguing story of power, control, betrayal and revenge. An animated and characters driven conclusion DAWN is an edgy, tragic and impassioned story of love, retribution and vengeance.

5 What an Ending to a Phenomenal Trilogy and Series Stars!!

Well, we're leaving the Sparrow world and I'm just not sure what to do with myself. I've loved being in this world so much and Reid and Lorna's conclusion is nothing short of spectacular. The love they share is stronger than ever and these two have faced so many challenges over the years, but with this trilogy, we get their full history and it’s filled with twists, turns, deceptions and discoveries.

I don’t want to give too much away because you need to read all the Sparrow world books but in this book everything comes full circle in every way I loved about Aleatha Romig’s writing. She’s taken us on a journey with Reid and Lorna that at times was heartbreaking and I wondered if there was the slightest chance people they love and adore wouldn’t survive the machinations of those that wanted to end them.

I was on the edge of my seat for most of this book as the story moves at a rapid pace almost like a horse race, where someone’s in the lead and then BOOM, another horse comes up from behind and changes the stakes of what everyone is fighting for! And oh my goodness the secrets that are uncovered and mysteries solved were shocking in nature. Some of which made people question who they are and what they have to the family that’s been made by design. My heart actually hurt at times because there was such pain being inflicted physically, mentally and emotionally. But leave it to Ms. Romig to have it all make sense when the last page is turned!

I know I’m going to truly miss everyone in this world, and I’m secretly hoping that we’ll get to see them again in some way in the future…. No pressure or anything Aleatha!!

I have to admit that for me the best part of Aleatha's trilogies are the conclusions. Watching each strategically placed piece of the puzzle put back in place to give us the full picture of the untangled web she has created. Fabulous characters that you fall in love with as you walk along beside them throughout the journey.

Lorna and Reid's story has been one full of secrets and heartache from a past once forgotten, learning to let the past be in the past, remember the love that they always shared and many little surprises. Lorna's heart and need to take care of all is seen tenfold in this book as she even tries to look out for people that will surprise you. Being there for each other in every way. Continuing to build their life into more. Fighting against the attempt to takedown the empire they have grown to live in and cherish.

As we close not only the Dangerous Web Series but also the Sparrow world as we know it. There is lots from all the other Alpha men and their strong beautiful wives mixed into this story. It was almost like a family reunion at the same time. I am sad to see the series come to an end but I am so excited for the new world I am sure is to come from Aleatha.

The last book in Lorna and Reid's story was a doozy.
So much build up to this moment of resolution.
So much reflection and information about their pasts- especially Lorna, she's been through more than most people could withstand. The Sparrow circle has been her saving grace. Reid has brought her out of her shell and shown her she's loved, protected, and cherished. She has had a difficult time realizing that she DOES have something to contribute to the group, that she DOES matter.

While the events of book one keep plaguing the Sparrow's, you have no idea what's going on, why it's going on, who is the ultimate target. We really see the conclusion of all of this, what the true motive was is, who the true target is! We all know Sparrow is a dark horse who protects what's his. When it really comes down to it, you really shouldn't mess with him.
This is the epic conclusion to this series [to the whole series, all of The Web's].
I've loved this world, I like these characters- It's kept me on the edge of my seat and has been difficult to put down. I'm glad that I got to know them, but I'm sad to see them go.
I have to applaud the author, the world she creates is just breathtaking.

The Sparrow web world is covered in darkness, yet the dawn is near. The dramatic conclusion to the Dangerous Web trilogy is here. The veil of safety protecting Lorna Murray's life has been ripped away. Can Reid Murray convince her that the lingering darkness, the sun will rise again?

This is the third and final book in the Dangerous Web Trilogy. You need to read Dusk and Dark first. This entire series has made me a nervous wreck. After falling in love with Sparrow and Mason and their significant others, I couldn't wait to fall for Reid and Lorna and they haven't disappointed one bit. This has been one heck of a ride for them. I tell you my heart has been in my throat a million times reading this series. Now we have the conclusion and it is just as great as the first two book and we finally have all the answers we have wanted and man oh man are they doozies and the ending I about had heart failure. I am so in love with this series and so sad to say that it is over. I am going to miss these characters so much. I can't even explain how much. They have given me so many hours of great reading.

Reid and Lorna’s world was rocked when she was kidnapped, and even though she is back the experience is not over. Lorna is dealing with the physical and psychological aftermath and it is imperative they find out who is behind it before they strike again but that means keeping every detail of the experience at the forefront in case she is able to reveal the one clue that her cloudy memory holds that could give them the answers they need.

Their journey is filled with intrigue, surprises and romance as truth are revealed and we not only get the closure we need for Reid and Lorna but it allows us to catch up with all the other characters we know and love and get closure for them as well.

Wow! What a great ending to this trilogy. The story of Lorna and Reid concludes with heart-stopping action, unexpected reveals, Sparrow family bonds strengthened, and of course, a sexy & endearing love story. This book was a real page-turner as more of Lorna's childhood past is revealed and we learn what an awful and disgusting person Gordon Maples was. The story is so complicated, yet Ms. Romig does a fantastic job sewing all of the pieces together so that the plot reaches a very climactic and satisfying conclusion. My favorite part of this particular book was the total unity of the Sparrow family. Their loyalty to one another was truly cemented and the bonds they have will not be broken. We saw the softer side of the Sparrow men, which cuts the tension of what's going on around them and really makes them more human. Even Sterling Sparrow showed a softer side. Of course, Lorna and Reid are just beautiful together. Their love jumps off the pages.
What a ride the Dangerous Web trilogy has been!

Aleatha Romig’s Dawn from the Dangerous Web Series concludes Reid and Lorna Murray’s dramatic story. Dawn not only ends their story, but it completes the entire Web Series. If you think you know Aleatha’s work, you will be surprised to find that she brings it all in this tale. She may be a sweet little grandmother but give her a pen, and she will murder you in your sleep or, better yet, while you‘re awake and watching. She will torture her victims and think nothing of killing off her characters. Spoiler alert: not everyone survives! For all the lies and deceit spun into tightly woven weaves of silk, come alive for the most phenomenal termination.

If you are not familiar with Aleatha’s Web Series, it’s about Chicago’s Underworld and a particular mob boss who has taken control of the city’s criminals. His name is Sterling Sparrow, and the Web series starts with his story called the Web of Sin. Moving on, the second series called Tangled Web is Mason Perry’s story. Next up is Patrick Kelly’s saga with Web of Desire and finally Reid Murray’s epic finale.

Perfect ending!

Dawn isnt just a conclusion for Lorna and Reid's story, its also the final book in the Sparrow world. So the ending of Dawb isnt just perfect for Lorna and Reid. Its also have perfect ending for everyone in the Sparrow closest circle.

In Dawn there's this melancholic feeling for me. Knowing this is the end of Sparrow world. And also for all of the couples and their life are there in Lorna and Reid's story. Its kinda sweet yet sad to let go this long journey series to end.

Since Lorna and Reid is already there in every couple of the Sparrow's series, Dawn have more spoilers if you havent read the previous couples story. And with the ending, i see and hope the seed Aleatha thrown on Missy, would be something we would enjoy in the future books.

Overall, Sparrow world is an amazing world. Full of intrigue. Layers of secrets. Passion and love. But most of all, they are family who stick together and bound to life more than blood does.

It's darkest before the dawn. We can't give up.
-- Dawn (Dangerous Web Book #3) by Aleatha Romig

Lorna Pierce is a recently rescued victim and is slowly recalling many more details of her abduction, and it sprung up a past that she thought she had buried well.
Reid Murray is her husband and is part of a powerful and influential Chicago organization called the "Sparrows." Lorna and Reid are tangled in a dangerous world filled with secrets, surprises, and danger. The organization's leading players have been targets of various attacks that the organization still does not know what the motives are.

I am so excited to finally get answers in Dawn, Book 3, and the Dangerous Web series' final book - Reid and Lorna's story. The ending will B-L-O-W Y-O-U-R M-I-N-D!

Without giving much away for the book:
1.) Dawn starts where readers left off in Book 2, which ended in a cliffhanger. There is a short prologue of this at the beginning that is a great recap. I would highly recommend readers start from Book 1 to better appreciate and go through the book.

2) Written in multi-characters POV, Dawn provides readers the main characters' perspectives AND some of the supporting characters' during the flashbacks that explain the mystery connections as far back as in Book 1. I appreciate this POV since the story gets pretty complicated. If Book 1 is all about the unfortunate event while Book 2 brought more questions and "dark secrets" surfacing, Book 3 is all about the secrets, lies, and "backdoor dealings" being pieced together for readers.

3) Questions get answers with cunning writing and implications. There were moments when I had to re-read a passage or two since I overlooked the "implications." There were hints that I missed, but I saw them after revisiting a few chapters.

4) Flashbacks were a welcome reprieve and gave great understanding and a better "connection" to the main characters. Readers will get a better feel of the gravity of the situation and how awful some of Lorna's and her family's backgrounds. These moments support why her family members turned out the way they did. They either succumbed to their predicament

5) Reasons/justifications for actions past are also discussed, and the people involved will get what they deserve. There were a few "past characters" that I thought I had my feelings sorted out. This book further confirmed those feelings and more to justify why they ended up where they were. I was angry for the "bad people" and cheered aloud (in my head) for the ones that came out "into the light."

6) I love how the supporting characters (all of them) are integral to the story and helped Lorna and Reid tackle their past, overcome their trauma, dissected the clues then "push" to solve the mystery. I love how the author did it - through science and therapy approaches.

7) The story reveals what went on with Mason and Lorna's pasts and will "fill-in" many missing events. Readers will finally learn about their family history and their missing sister's whereabouts. That is what I was looking forward to, aside from the central mystery. There is a bit more gore and "torture" inflicted that may churn the stomach but keep going because it will be worth it.

8) At the end of all this, in the darkest comes the dawn, then everything will be revealed. The story will keep readers "on the edge" of their seats, leading to the end. There were too many things to piece together, tangles to unravel, and secrets to expose that will all explode in a spectacular finish that is Romig's signature style.

Overall, I love how the author grabs hold of her readers in all of her books. Dawn is no exception. I COULD NOT put the book down and gobbled it all up!
Do not assume and expect a lot of "plot twists."
The author's mind is a perplexing one - with many "new revelations," then the story somehow takes us to the end of this epic trail of mystery and suspense while reinforcing the powerful love between Lorna and Reid.
Being the conclusion of this series, finishing Dawn saddens me - to say goodbye (for now) to the Sparrow characters. It makes me want to read slower to savor the story more but understand that Reid and Lorna need to find their peace and HEA.
I cannot wait to see more from the author again!

When all was said and done, the love we all shared made me believe that light would eventually win. Dawn would shine from beneath the horizon and cover our world in golden rays of sunlight, if we waited long enough.
