Empty promises, and the world will turn away indifferent, because this doesn’t fit the mainstream narrative. If a Christian leader had promised to protect mosques and mosques were then attacked, you’d never hear the end of it. But aside from this post, you’re likely never to hear of this again.

“Christian churches will be protected, Azerbaijan leader says,” Associated Press, November 15, 2020:
The president of Azerbaijan is promising that Christian churches will be protected when the strongly Muslim country takes possession of areas formerly controlled by Armenians.
President Ilham Aliyev’s office said he made the promise in a telephone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is deploying peacekeeping forces in the areas under an agreement that ended six weeks of fighting between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
Ethnic Armenian forces had controlled Nagorno-Karabakh and sizeable adjacent territories since the 1994 end of a separatist war. Fighting resumed in late September and ended with an agreement that calls for Azerbaijan to regain control of the outlying territories as well as allowing it to hold on to parts of Nagorno-Karabakh that it seized during the fighting.
The first of the territories, Kalbajar, is being turned over on Sunday.
Kalbajar is home to the well-known Dadivank monastery of the Armenian Apostolic Church. A day before the territory’s handover, workers removed many of the monastery’s sacred objects. Other residents in Kalbajar torched their own homes, fearing what will happen when Azerbaijani forces take over…
“Watch: Azerbaijani soldier screams ‘Allahu Akbar’ while standing atop a desecrated church in occupied territory in Armenia,” OpIndia, November 15, 2020:
Azerbaijan’s leadership had promised that they would protect the Armenian people of Karabakh, However, the recent desecration of churches has made it clear that the Baku administration is not interested in protecting these sites.
A video has emerged on social media platforms showing a suspected Azerbaijani soldier or Syrian mercenary screaming ‘Allahu Akbar’ (God is Greater) while standing on the top of a chapel in Karabakh in Armenia. It is believed that the video was filmed recently. Others were heard repeating Allahu Akbar after him.
Armenian Church destroyed
Just a day before the said video was released, photos of a desecrated church in Armenia had appeared online. The Church was located in the strategic city of Shushi in the Karabakh region. Azerbaijan’s leadership had promised that they would protect the Armenian people of Karabakh. They also stated that they would preserve the culture and heritage of the community. However, the recent desecration of churches has made it clear that the Baku administration is not interested in protecting these sites.
As per the reports, a historic cathedral in Nagorno-Karabakh’s city of Shusha was shelled by the Azerbaijani forces. AFP reported severe damage to the church. Ghazanchetsots (Holy Saviour) Cathedral, an iconic site for the Armenian Apostolic Church, had a gaping hole in the roof created due to shelling in October….

Azerbaijan is no longer secular, as it had been in the post Soviet period uptil now. It got Turkish support in not just regaining Nagorno Karabakh, but also getting a connecting corridor to that territory through Armenia. In return, it’s allowing Turkey to do things that Turkey itself would be in trouble for doing – like hosting al Qaeda, and sunni Arab fighters from Syria wanting to attack Armenia.
It would be funny to see what happens when a shi’a vs sunni war breaks out in Azerbaijan, b/w the local shi’a and whatever sunnis Ankara sends in. But yeah, Azerbaijan is either the first or second of the stans to have gone full Islamic in support of the jihad, Kyrgyzstan being the first. It’s just a question of when Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan follow suit

Azerbaijan’s president cannot protect the people let alone the churches. Someone has to stand up against tyranny in the end. I wonder who it will be? if anyone.

Aliev is talking from both sides of his mouth. One side is for the benefit of the world audience and the other (nudge, nudge) for the people he has ruled for decades. Despite Father Aliev’s heartfelt and sincere advice, the Azeris are going after their number-one target….churches because the biggest sin of Armenians is that they are kaffers (infidels). I have seen Azeris climb a church tower to bring down the bell. Another has broken a crucifix. Aliev might tell them no desecrate churches although his troops twice shelled the Shushi cathedral. When asked by the BBC reporter about twice hitting the cathedral, Aliev said that accidents happen.

Spot on, Jirtu.

First they go after monuments, then they go after humans. Just like that, in the US they are going over monuments, later they are coming for us the humans.

Some Turkic peoples lost their humanity after adopting the evil religion of islam. I read many times in books that Turks were tolerant of different faiths and destroying the temples of other religions were forbidden before their forced, brutal conversion to islam. Ancestors of the Turks’ heads were chopped off by invader muslim arab barbarians and their bodies were hang on trees… Some of the beliefs and religions of the Ancient Turks and some today’s Turks were/are Tengriism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Manichaeism, Judaism (Khazars and Krymchaks), Christianity (Gagauz and Chuvash). The horror religion of islam divides people into two: “the believers” and “the unbelievers” thus it is dividing the nations and making they fight with each other.

Boycott Turkey says
This is very painful to watch I’m so sickened how the world allowed ethnic cleansing and genocide and demonised Armenians as invaders and occupiers a people who had lived there for thousands of years the UN allowed and supported Genocide by refusing to recognise Artkash Isn’t it bad enough they went through a genocide before shame on the world this world is going to hell

The only time UN makes a move is if some muslims somewhere are being threatened. Not surprising since the UN is bought and payed for by the OIC. Armenia isn’t the first, and certainly won’t be the last non-muslim country the UN turns a blind eye on when muslims are the ones attacking it. Cyprus (Greeks) and Kosovo (Serbs) come to mind.
Boycott Turkey says
True LB my parents where forced out from there homes in Cyprus when Turkey invaded the UN did Nothing and allowed Turkey to Ethically cleanse and genocide us the UN is guilty the OIC is a terrorist organisation in my opinion but what’s new the UN is always on the side of Islamic terrorism

I still have a cousin in Limassol—family was there when Turkey invaded. It was a horrible time.
Boycott Turkey says
Yes GreekEmpress it was hell on earth i have only visited my parents villages once the house where my mum lived was turned to a barn and my dads house he grew up in was occupied by illegal settlers from Turkey i don’t think we will ever get our land back we will be lucky if we keep the South with that bloodthirsty Erdogan

He’s head of a little two-bit Mooslum hellhole no one can even spell and he’s going to “protect the churches” of Armenians? Pull the other one it hath got bells on. Lying little weasel is probably dreaming of the extra recyclable holy whores he’ll get for every one he torches. The Turks may have been influenced by traditional Roman Empire’s (West and East) tolerance of all religions, but soon as the iron fist of Allah’s savages comes down, that goes out the window.

Its obvious to any person with a shred of street cred that this wee “Leader” is pandering not only to Putin but to The West in general as he needs some more money as his wife,s need to fly off to Geneva to buy some stuff… Putin is not a stupid guy and no doubt he can see this scam and false words for what it is.
OLD GUY says
It appears that it is ok to desecrate Christian churches and bibles, if you are a muslim/ islamic believer. But if you say anything or burn a Quran or put bacon on the grounds of a mosque you are a racist hateful person who should be beheaded.
Islamophobia is a JOKE and an attempt by Islam to lay the blame for their hate and violence on others. There is no excuse for the crimes against humanity committed in the name of Muhammad and Islam.
Hell they don’t even like puppies, that should tell us something is wrong with these folks.
