Publisher's summary

New York Times best-selling author Lisa Renee Jones brings a fresh, modern take to the thriller genre that will keep you guessing until the very end.

“The poet is a liar who always speaks the truth.” (Jean Cocteau)

Some call him friend or boss.
Some call him husband or dad.
Some call him son, even a favorite son.

But the only title that matters to him is the one the media has given him: The Poet.

A name he earned from the written words he leaves behind after he kills that are as dark and mysterious as the reason he chooses his victims.

One word, two, three, a story in a poem, a secret that only Detective Samantha Jazz can solve. Because he’s writing this story for her.

She just doesn’t know it yet.

Great "whodunnit" kinda book

A story told by 2 people from 2 places puts you in the middle and this book does that. Typical " I dont need anyone " female detective surrounded by men who drop everything for her at any time . The portrayal from scott brick of the killer is just spot on! Scott brick could tell God a story and have Him enthrolled. All around a great listen. Would i spend a credit on it or pay 20$s? Maby but since its included its worth the investment of time.

WOW what a twisted and exciting ride

This book was a recommendation on Audible for me. I rarely pick those up but I am so grateful I did this one. I was captured by the characters and the twisted plot from the first chapter. I enjoyed the narration duet. I love a book that is suspenseful and engaging to the point I am on pins and needles as I listen. Every time I thought I had it figured out and when it seems Sam has it charted....off we go again. I can only say take the time to enjoy this thriller/police crime in any format and you will be unable to put it down

Had to finish. to see if it improved

was missing something..... a little too slow......a little confusing.....a little not believable..... and the main character seemed drag on and on about her thoughts, essentially repeating herself using different verbage.
