My latest in PJ Media:
What causes jihad terror attacks? As far as the U.S. Navy is concerned, a primary cause is apparently people who say mean things. On Friday, the Navy released a 260-page investigation on the December 2019 jihad attack perpetrated by Royal Saudi Air Force 2nd Lt. Mohammed Alshamrani, in which three people were killed. The report found that yes, he was a jihadi, but also “there was a toxic microclimate” at Naval Air Station Pensacola due to the “unprofessional behavior” of one of Alshamrani’s instructors. So you see, Alshamrani murdered people in the name of Allah and Islam because non-Muslims were mean to him. Isn’t that always the case?
Military.com reported Friday that “a U.S. Navy investigation has determined that the Saudi pilot who killed three people when he opened fire on Florida’s Naval Air Station Pensacola last year was self-radicalized.” The Navy will not say so in so many words, but that means that Alshamrani somehow got the idea that his Islamic religion commanded him to make war against unbelievers, including his comrades-in-arms in Pensacola.
We didn’t really need a 260-page report to tell us that. The Associated Press reported back in May that Alshamrani “repeatedly communicated with al-Qaida operatives about planning in the months leading up to the attack.” And he didn’t just communicate with them. Attorney General William Barr noted that the shooter, Mohammed Alshamrani, had “significant ties to Al Qaeda [in] the Arabian Peninsula not only before the attack, but before he even arrived in the United States.”
FBI Director Christopher Wray added that Alshamrani’s attack was the “brutal culmination of years of planning and preparation….We now know enough to see Alshamrani for what he was — a determined AQAP [al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula] terrorist who spent years preparing to attack us. He wasn’t just coordinating with them about planning and tactics. He was helping the organization making the most it could out of his murders.” Wray said that al-Qaeda “certainly more than just inspired” Alshamrani’s massacre.

“self-radicalized” – Translation – he read the Koran and followed it.

I cannot understand why he did not read the koran and question it? We had the same sort of “SO HOLY YOU CAN HARDLY LOOK AT IT” mentality in Christianity, but as society modernized and free speech, thinking for yourself and innovative, creative mentality as OPPOSED to “learn by repeat after me” was encouraged most people whose fear of those who would punish them if not towing the line was removed.
Michael Copeland says
“O you who believe! Ask not about things which, if made plain to you, may cause you trouble” – Koran 5:101
When Annie Cyrus questioned her father about why she had to wear a hijab his answer was a punch in her face. Merely asking questions is tantamount to blasphemy.

Grimly true, Michael.

So what happened to this guy and the other Islamic murderer? You didn’t say…

Mohammed Alshamrani was shot to death by Escambia County sheriff deputies.
James Lincoln says
If Royal Saudi Air Force 2nd Lt. Mohammed Alshamrani could not cope with a small dose of “toxic microclimate”, he had no business being anywhere near US Naval aircraft.
And he could’ve even *stopped* the “micro aggressions” by simply shaving off his “Harry Reems” mustache.
A murdering piece of scum.
Bottom line:
Saudis should not receive any type of flight training in the United States – period.
gravenimage says
Yes–it’s just ludicrous. Besides, this instructor apparently twitted others, and they of course didn’t go on murderous rampages.
Daniel Triplett says
Agreed James. The odds of being a foreigner, and getting trained by the USN to fly airplanes is about 1:200,000,000/year. Even more than American guys like you and me, these dudes have really hit the world lottery.
Then to piss it all away like this monster did, in such dishonorable abhorrent fashion. All to please the fictional or demonic Allah. Really goes to show what a powerful force Islam is on men’s souls, even the ones who have the whole world in their hands, but will trade it all to the Devil, just for an eternity in Hell.

Yes–any sane pilot would relish the chance he was given.

Let me get this right, he did all that AlQuida stuff, comms & planning and was operating within the Navy,,, ?? and now they tell us… FBI, CIA, qovt et al are expensive hangers on that should know this sort of info & act on it BEFORE HE KILLS INNOCENT PEOPLE

As we all know the position of leftists in the western world is that muslims are innocent, they shouldn’t be criticized, and that white people are guilty for making them unequal, and responsible for any violent attacks they perpetrate against others. They usually dont say this against the Jews of Israel, since it makes no sense that the Jews made the arab muslims poor, nor do they say it to the millions of hindu victims of islam, or the african victims of islam. Its really A profound censorship that stifles the conversation. I would say criticize the white american leftists, call them stupid, scream that what they believe is obviously retarded, but you are probably already doing that, and their billionaire masters are censoring you. Remember the billionaires will deflect the focus from themselves by any means possible. We got the goods on the left already, they cant hide behind their so what about racism against whites poses if the censorship ends. In G-d I trust.

I remember top gun 1986. There was Maverick, Goose, Iceman, Slider, Stinger, Jester, Cougar, Wolfman, Merlin, Hollywood. And they all had a group session to iron out their feelings, and sand ‘YMCA’ to let those tensions go. After all…. they would fly supersonic jets with missiles and you didn’t want them to be upset during their missions.
It’s not just the thought of this Jihadist who might have gone thru and had the means to fly such a jet with missiles here, but the nitwit Navy heads who had the gall to peddle this idiotic meme about the ‘abuse’ causing the Jihadist to murder innocent people.

THE CASE OF BENEDICT SPINOZA (1632-1677)
He was one the Greatest Philosophers of All Time, and also JEWISH,born in Holland, and who spoke 4 languages: Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch and Latin.
Due to his masterpiece ETHICS,he is considered one of the Greatest RATIONALIST philosophers.
He is in the list of the Greatest:
Plato and Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas,
Heidegger and Nietszche and Confucius,
Kant and Hegel and Descartes.
YET HE SAID MOHAMMED WAS A TRUE PROPHET
It appears in his book “Tractatus Theoligico-Politicus”(1670).This book is a critique of the BIBLE,where Spinoza says:
1.The SUPERNATURAL is false:No Miracles Ever happen.
2.God is the same as the Laws of Nature.
3.There is NO LIFE After Death.
4.The TORAH was NOT written by MOSES
HIS DEFINITION OF PROPHET
Spinoza describes a prophet as he who does “the practice of JUSTICE and LOVE toward ONE’s NEIGHBOR”.
He actually quotes LEVITICUS 19:18. Regarding JESUS,using That Definition Spinoza says he:
“Provided an Example of Surpassing Holiness”. And in his book MOHAMMED was also a True Prophet, who Taught the Divine Law,though Lesser than Jesus.
TWO POSSIBILITIES
1.Either he NEVER read the KORAN.Then WHY call Mohamed a Prophet?
2.He did and did NOT Understand it.
A. That it Authorizes Sex Slavery(in 5 passages) and says if you Kill and Die for Allah you go to Paradise (chapter 9:111).
B. PLUS it curses Christians “till the DAY of RESURRECTION”(chapter 5:14) and Jews “till the DAY of RESURRECTION”(chapter 5:64)
C. Also in chapter 9:30 Merely for SAYING that Jesus is the SON of GOD, Christians are CURSED by ALLAH.
D. And chapter 24:33 says a SLAVE’s FREEDOM is CONDITIONAL,it Depends,if the MASTER thinks that the slave DESERVES it.
HE WAS VERY LOGICAL
I don’t understand it,in his ETHICS his thinking is modelled on EUCLID’s GEOMETRY:
Each part starts with a DEFINITION,
followed by AXIOMS or POSTULATES,
then CHAINS of RIGOROUS DEMONSTRATIONS of THEOREMS ( like MATH).
mgoldberg says
And to think, no jew ever threatened to cut someone’s head off because Spinoza insulted the prophet, Moses. And that was the norm… disallowing the cutting off of someone’s head for insulting someone else’s prophet, until the age of political correctness. Now, they make excuses for it, as if it weren’t sickening hatred, igorance, bigotry writ large.
gravenimage says
For one thing, Brando, even great minds can be mistaken on some matters.
Then, “and in his book MOHAMMED was also a True Prophet” is actually quite ambiguous–this may just mean that the Qur’an regards Mohammed as a Prophet. I can find little else from Spinoza on Mohammed specifically.
Brando says
Hello, the info comes from:
“The Dream of the Enlightenment:The Rise of Modern Philosophy”(2016) by ANTHONY GOTTLIEB (page 98),
the author,Gottlieb, summarizing the ideas of the TRACTATUS THEOLOGICO-POLITICUS,says that for Spinoza:
“Mohammed, too, taught the divine law,and so was a true prophet, though apparently a lesser one than Christ.
It does not matter what religion a man professes,or even if he is totally ignorant of all scriptures,so long as he lives in the right way.
Indeed,” wherever justice and charity have the force of law and ordinance, there is God’s kingdom.” ”
BUT ABOUT ISLAM ITSELF
Or maybe he later changed his mind,ANDREW BOSTOM who wrote “The Legacy of Islamic Anti-Semitism”(2008),in his website says:
“Benedict de Spinoza writing a reply in December, 1675 to Albert Burgh, a young “champion” of Catholicism, makes this spontaneous, striking comparison to Islam:
“The order of the Roman Catholic Church which you so greatly praise, I confess, is politic and lucrative to many. I should think that there was none more suited to deceive the people
and to constrain the minds of men, were there not the order of the MAHOMEDAN CHURCH [Islam] which FAR SURPASSES IT.”
From: Correspondence of Spinoza. Benedict de Spinoza (Author), A. Wolf (Translator), Kessinger Publishing, LLC; First Edition edition 2003, p. 354″

Thank you, Brando. You seem to be right about Spinoza re Muhammed–very foolish.
As for Islam itself, though, it seems that Spinoza was not praising that creed, but opining that Catholicism is also bad–although not as bad as Islam, which far surpasses it in constraining the minds of men.

Anyone from an Islamic culture, particularly the ME, living in the West is likely to get VERY upset at the Western ideal of being allowed to say what you think – it’s a big cultural difference in attitude aout rights. If people are allowed to migrate into the West they should be made to understand what the values are here….we all get upset when some idiot tells us he thinks our religion stinks, or something we hold dear is stupid, but to a Muslim that is so hurtful they let their fury take over – their very PRIDE is at stake. You are offending their very soul – and in THEIR culture there must be a price exacted for that ! Is the problem then that they are from a culture where it is incumbant on a ‘man’ to ‘defend his culture’ ….and so in his own head he is being righteous & society should support his very ‘brave’ deed ? Hence they should not be allowed to just migrate into the West with that mindset, because most of us natives to the West feel quite free to say what we like about almost anything…..most of us are not deliberately nasty, but we do not fear to speak about how we feel or what we believe. THEY, in migrating to the West, MUST be made to understand you cannot decide that what someone said is SO egregious that you should get your own back on them by attacking them – WE do not do that in the West so if you want to join Western society then YOU have to change ! Obviously a lot of people get into the West without going thru the immigration process, but at least within that immigration process there SHOULD be education about this business of freedom of expression !

After the Dec 6,2019 killing, we investigated the two mosques serving the base.
If you would like a copy of that report. send me your request.

Where do we send the request, Jarvis?

How do we convince our government decision makers that we do not want nor need more mosques in our multicultural environments? You have to realize that just because an ideology is from outside of the country if it has a hidden agenda to end your existence with jihad which it obviously does then it is not something you need living next door to you is it? Stop the nonsense and tell them OUT!

I do not see that this man has any justification for murdering in the way he has been able to do. It does not matter if the entire Navy cried “arsehole” from their windows in trucks as they went by – there could be absolutely no justification for murdering them all with a planned bomb! Send the sod to jail and forget the key. Those like him – remove from our country!
