Dear Friends of UCU!

On behalf of the entire community of the Ukrainian Catholic University, we kindly invite you to attend the Annual Fundraising Dinner and Silent Auction in support of the Ukrainian Catholic University which will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 5 pm online (Kyiv time).

The 2020 Annual Fundraising Dinner will take place in a new teleconference format. Guests from all over the world and Ukraine will be able to join us remotely without any risks.

    During the event, UCU Prof. Yaroslav Hrytsak will have an open dialogue with British journalist Peter Pomerantsev.

    Also in the program:

    - speech of His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk;
    - speech by UCU President Borys Gudziak;
    - appeal from the graduate Marichka Paplauskaite, co-founder of The Ukrainians Media, editor-in-chief of Reporters;
    - musical surprise from UCU senators;
    - auction of art and special lots, charity lottery and many surprises!

    This year, in a difficult time of threats and isolation, we decided to dedicate our event to the 50th anniversary of the song “Chervona Ruta” - a life-affirming anthem of modern Ukrainian identity. We have the privilege to join in honoring the bright memory of Volodymyr Ivasiuk, because thanks to the genius of its creator, the song raised our language to a new level, found fans around the world, and popularized modern Ukrainian culture.
