About this ebook

A swoon-worthy romance from USA Today Bestselling Author J.H. Croix!

A second chance for Christmas.

Delilah

I never thought I’d see Alex Blake again. Most certainly not on the side of a snowy highway in Alaska.

The memory of his summer kisses kept me warm on lonely nights for years. Life and geography got in the way.

When my car skids off the highway in the darkness in Alaska, I’m plenty bitter and I’ve lost all faith in fantasies.

I didn’t count on Alex, didn’t count on him setting me on fire, and most certainly not on him betting it all on us.

Alex

I never could forget Delilah Carter even though she was nothing more than a memory.

Until I find her stranded on a snowy highway a few thousand miles away from where I last saw her.

The years don’t matter. This time, I get to make our wishes come true.

Delilah & Alex's story is perfect for readers who love small town, holiday romance, alpha heroes, smart sassy heroines, unexpected second chances, slow burn, emotional romance with a dash of angst, plenty of swoon, and a deeply protective hero.

*A full-length, standalone romance.

This is book eleven of the Into The Fire Series and it is Delilah and Alex's story. Delilah is on her way to Diamond Creek for a skiing holiday when her car hits a patch of ice and she ends up in the embankment with no way out and then help arrives and it is Alex Blake who she had a crush on years ago and she never forgot him. Alex was so shocked to see Delilah again after so many years and never forgot her and the surprise was that they are both on there way to Last Frontier Lodge and they both didn't know what to expect. When they get to the lodge it is to find that for some reason Delilah's room had been cancelled so Alex suggested that they both stay in his room. Alex and Delilah still have a strong connection and chemistry between them even after so many years but would it be enough for them to have a second chance after so many apart and the problem of them living thousands of miles apart. Omg this book was absolutely amazing and I loved the characters and storyline as it pulled you in right from the first page and you have to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next and I wasn't disappointed as it was so addictive. J H Croix is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and others books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Snowy second chances. Alex and Delilah met as young, inexperienced teenagers at a summer camp. Love played her hand but kept them from being together at the time. When their two weeks were over they went their separate ways thinking they’d never see each other again. It didn’t stop them from thinking of each other over the intervening years. Grownup Delilah would never have guessed that Alex would be the one to rescue her from the side of a snowy Alaskan road. But he did. Now they have a second chance, and they want to. Their chemistry has only grown stronger and now they are older, and more experienced, they can follow through on their wishes and desires. But there are so many obstacles in their way. Can they defeat them? Will they have a happy ever after? Alex is certain of his feelings, he’s gorgeous, sexy and determined he’s not going to lose the love of his life twice. Delilah wants to be with Alex, but her life is two thousand miles from his. This was a sweet, romantic, and angsty story. I hadn’t read any of the previous books in the series but didn’t feel like I was missing too much while enjoying this one. A certain contender for a cosy holiday read with a mug of hot chocolate and a warm blanket to snuggle into.

4.5 Stars for That Snowy Night This is a new author to me but after reading this entertaining, magical holiday read I will certainly be checking out other words by J.H. Croix. This may be a quick novella but please don’t let that put you off because this story is really magical. Fate outworks in mysterious ways and it seems fate is determined to put Delilah and Alex in the sane places at the same times with just years apart. This couple met as as teenagers at a camp but lost contact when they went home to their parents, now they seem to have a second chance but will they be prepared to take a chance on love when they live on opposite sides of the country ........ A sweet, heartwarming read that will really put you in the mood for the holiday season. I loved the story and the characters abd I’m sure you will too.
