I am so excited to finish my year with a new read from one of my favorite authors! My Beautiful Poison was such an intriguing and captivating read. I have been in a book funk for a couple of weeks now and after not reading for days I picked up this book and devoured it. I am happy to day my book funk is cured!

August is all kinds of swoony! I really love his character and how much he cares about those close to him. I Sooo want more of him asap! Rylee is his perfect match in my opinion. Everything just seems to go hand in hand when they are together. I really like this coupling.

I am so ready for more. I need to get back into this world! I will be awaiting the next book with bated breath, that's for sure.

My beautiful poison is book 1 in this duet. Rylee is the rich girl that comes from money, August is a man with a past, a past where he was wrongly accused of something and was sent away for itand he's now free just trying to move on with his life.

Rylee and August see each other again at a party, They haven't seen each other since school. They form an unlikely friendship/relationship, however August starts pushing Rylee away when his past starts to come back to haunt him.

This story had me from the get go, love, hate, chemistry, drama, twists and turns. This book ends with a massive cliffhanger so now we need Wicked Poison to see how this beautifully written duet ends.

This was such an absorbing story from the first chapter I was hooked …
Great characters that you could feel as the writing was extremely good holding my interest all through the book ..
Enter August , who for reasons your read in the book is known as a bad boy ,where others opinions would say he doesn’t conform to approved standards of behaviour.
There are always reasons nothing is black and white also people judge ….often wrongly.

Enter Rylee , who has a privileged life-style ,who doesn’t take her life for granted .

Their attraction is there from the start , Rylee is unafraid to ask for what she wants …
She wants capture August's heart plus she wants his body , all of him ..
Such a strong female , interesting character that was a pleasure to get to know ….

When life sets you up with the wrong people that you cannot escape from no matter how you try they seem to win dragging you down to the depths of despair behind bars ..
August in on the road to a second chance still these people are there trying their best to make a mess of his life again!

Rylee is fearless she knows what she wants August is his name.

To say I loved this book is an understatement I was completely invested ..

All the characters are strong all are still in my mind …
Book two is coming soon and I cannot wait for the conclusion .

My Beautiful Poison is book one in the Wicked Poison series by T.L. Smith. I was sold on this book right from the blurb. Just those few sentences captivated me and started that sweet aching need for the whole story. I waited up for this release, and as soon as it was up I devoured it.

The dynamic between the two main characters was teeth clenching intensity. Rough, raunchy and risque, My Beautiful Poison was impossible to put down and unforgettable. 50% bad boy, 50% feisty girl. 100% immaculate goodness. Their story was flawed but genuine. Their love real and soul deep. Their chemistry all consuming. Beginning to end, this story was enveloped in beauty, difficulty and fulfillment. T.L. Smith epitomises dark, edgy and dramatic romances. Her delivery, on point. Her execution, utter perfection. 5 stars

OMG. I loved this story. My Beautiful Poison is book one in the Wicked Poison series by T.L. Smith. It is a contemporary romance with drama, angst with somewhat of a friends to lovers/ second chances/ opposites attract story. This is a dual POV story that will have you swooning
This story is about Rylee and August. Rylee Harley is the golden child of the family, the rich girl who likes to please everyone no matter how miserable it makes her. She's worked hard to get where she is but no matter how much she wish she could escape the expectations, she doesn't want to disappoint her family. August Trouble is the town's bad boy. After a stint in prison, he's happy to be free and is trying to readjust to outside living.
Rylee and August reunite when they bump into each other at a party. The last time they saw each other was high school, and even though they weren't friends, they still remember each other. Rylee quickly infuses herself into August's life, becoming the friend he needs and when their relationship takes on a with-benefits status, their whole dynamic starts to change. Feelings become involved and no matter how hard he tries to push her away, the connection they share always draws them back together. He is the salvation she needs to lead her own life and break free from her mother's controlling ways, and she is the light in his world. Together they are magic but what happens when his past threatens to ruin everything and drag him back into the dark?
I absolutely devoured this story. I felt the anguish on both sides and loved how they were able to find each other and open up. I loved August's character and now I'm eagerly anticipating the next installment to see what happens.

Oh my goodness, I just finished reading My Beautiful Poison and I'm still in shock! This book has it all: romance, opposites attract, plot twists, and passion. From the very first page I was pulled into the story and couldn't put it down.

The relationship between the two main characters is so captivating, you can't help but root for them. The way they were able to move past their differences and come together was inspiring. Plus, there were plenty of unexpected plot twists to keep me guessing. I was on the edge of my seat and completely engrossed in the story. 10/10 recommend!!

Oh dear! How could this author end it like that? My heart just about broke in two and considering the emotional roller coaster ride throughout the book it nearly shattered. I shouldn’t be surprised as this author can pull you in hook, line and sink from the first sentence, weaving her magic with her words then squeeze every emotion out of you and that’s just in the first few chapters!

This story is about Ryle and August, two very different people from opposite sides of the tracks yet so good together. Enough said!

Oh boy, if anyone says they don’t like August immediately I think they’re telling porky pies because he is such a great character, in fact, I think he is one of my favourite characters this author has created. He is dark and brooding, he is quiet and pushes others away, and he is capable of giving so much. Rylee is a terrific character too and one I was so pleased to see stand up for herself with those who continually took advantage of her. When she loves she gives it freely and openly. I really like her sense of humour too, especially with her sister. So many great secondary characters support this story as well.

There are a few elements to this story that keep you on your toes, the drama and action is ongoing and I loved the little twists and turns making it unpredictable and even more exciting. This is TL Smith on her game, she has written a fantastic story with all of the characteristics a quality book needs. I need the second half of this duet now!

Never had I screamed at the end of a book saying, you can't leave me like this! This book is amazing. My heart was left pounding and in tears. The story of August and Rylee is heartwrenchingly beautiful. August is given a second chance, but unfortunately not everyone thinks so. His homecoming is not one welcomed with open arms and everyone still only sees him as a criminal. Well not everyone. Rylee is the golden child and always doing what is expected of her. But she is tired of being in her abusive relationship and whether her mother is on board or not she is ready for a new start. When she notices that her high school crush is back the sparks are still there. This story had me swooning for these two. I was rooting for Rylee. I love her strength and the relationship she has with her sister and brother is what family is about. But that ending had me in tears and I am dying to read book 2. T.L. Smith knows how to deliver emotional angst at its finest. Come on book 2!!
