This was my first book by this author and what a way to start.

My heart broke for Ellie upon hearing what she went through from such a young age. As we learn about the young woman she has become despite all that happened I became her biggest cheerleader. She turned out to be one hell of a strong woman. But every strong woman can have her head turned by a certain type of man.
Enter FBI Profiler Chandler Peters. When he shows up in Ellie's small town to help the local Ranger find the killer targeting young women he sticks out like a sore thumb and immediately puts some local noses out of joint. Not Ellie though, she is drawn to Chandler like a moth to a flame.
Having led such a sheltered life poor Ellie doesn't know what to do with her feelings for Chandler, but they somehow make it work and when they both give in the chemistry is off the charts. When she finds out why he's in town she offers to help in any way she can. Turns out that they make a pretty awesome team out of the bedroom too haha.

This story intrigued me from the very beginning and I couldn't put it down til I knew who this sick killer was, and it turned out my guesses were way off base. Add to that the cuvre ball thrown in to send you for a loop and you have a book so worth taking the time to read. I look forward to seeing what treats this new to me author comes up with next.

Amazing romance and thriller combo....

These kind of romantic suspense books are definitely what Kennedy Mitchell writes best.... she has a way of keeping you guessing and on the edge of your seat trying to work out how it’s all going to roll out.... while keeping it hot and steamy and creating the most swoon worthy alpha heroes! This book was a perfect combination of all of these and I could not put it down!

Chandler is an FBI agent who has seen and experienced things that have shaped him into an amazing profiler.... but also left scars so deep that he is slightly broken and wondering if he’s destined to wonder the world alone for the rest of his life. Ellie has experienced so much abuse in her short life that she has resigned herself to a life of merely surviving and never really living. But when the pieces of their broken souls are sparked to life upon a chance meeting..... is it possible that they can make each other whole again?

Mitchell did a great job developing these characters, their chemistry, and I loved how she makes you fall in love with them and their story. Chandler just won me over with his protectiveness, understanding and dedication to Ellie.... not to mention holy 🔥🔥🔥🔥... and Ellie, damn she’s one strong woman who doesn’t need a knight in shining armour but definitely deserves one.

The twists, suspense and mystery kept me guessing and there was a well developed plot around a serial killer that made the ending one that was surprising but then when you look back ... not all that surprising because she hid the clues so well. These characters endured so much and I loved how it wasn’t predictable.

I loved this book! Can’t wait for Alec’s story!

I have just finished Mine to Save and Kennedy Mitchell knows how to write a thriller/romance. I think I may have been at the edge of my seat while reading this whole book. It was incredible 👌.

If you have read Mine to Protect then you will have already met Chandler Peters, a profiler who works for the FBI who has definitely witnessed his fair share of horrors in his job. He is starting to realise that his work is taking its emotional toll on him and feels like he's losing himself a little more with every case he works. He's sent to Orin, Texas to help his friend Alec Bronson find a serial killer who has been abducting and killing women. He meets Ellie once he arrives and from the first glance at her, he instantly feels alive, something he hasn't felt for a long time, something he thought he would not feel again.

Ellie, I don't have enough words to describe the admiration I feel for this women. She has to be one of the strongest women I have read about, she blew my mind at how she could have gone through what she had and still come out on the other side wanting to live and be happy. Even if her version of happiness was shopping at thrift store, having a small apartment on wrong side of town and an endless amount of candy 🤗.

Both of them had been broken by their pasts but when they came together, it no longer mattered because they could heal one another, they could breathe again and strip eachother of the darkness that had always surrounded them.
Chandler enlists Ellie's help to help him and Alec track down their killer before he strikes again. The mystery of who that could be was a rollercoaster of events and I loved every moment of reading it, trying to guess who it could be and being thrown through a loop each time I thought it was someone.

I wanted Chandler and Ellie to get there HEA so much I was almost screaming at my kindle because they deserved every bit of happiness I'm their life 🥰.

If you like a good murder mystery, thrown in with some amazing toe curling romance, then this book is for you. What another amazing novel Kennedy I never doubted you 😊 and I am so ready for Mine to Guard 💚.

Even though this is the second book in this series, it could definitely be a stand alone. Chandler was a secondary character in the first book, and although the couple from the first book is mentioned, it didn’t relate to the plot of this book.

This book was very reminiscent of Criminal Minds. Chandler is an FBI agent with the BSU and tasked with creating a profile for a serial killer in Texas. When he arrives, he meets Ellie before his friend and Texas Ranger, Alec, can introduce them. Alec is convinced Ellie can help with their investigation because of her past with the cult just outside the small town the serial killer has been active in. Chandler and Ellie share a connection that neither can explain, until they start getting to know each other and realize it’s a case of like recognizes like. They’re both survivors of ultra religious childhoods and both escaped to create a life for themselves.

There were so many villains in this story. It seemed the only likable men in town were Alec and Chandler, and they were outsiders. I figured out pretty quickly who the serial killer was, but found myself second guessing my theory because of the sinister men that surrounded Ellie. There was also a twist at the end that I saw coming but was shocking nonetheless.

This was a great romantic suspense. I thought the chemistry between Chandler and Ellie was on fire. Their relationship progresses quickly, but that made sense to this story because of their past experiences. I loved the ending and thought it was the perfect way to show how Ellie and Chandler moved on from the horrors in Texas.
