This was the best book in this series!!! Less drama. I loved the main characters. Zara had her moments, but I could understand why most times. Dalton was a favorite for me, because he was the glue in the group. Great characters throughout the books. Surprisingly no babies.

After reading the first two books in this series I was really looking forward to Dalton's story and I was not disappointed. It turns out that there is secret heartbreak in Dalton's past, but when Zara comes to the resort they get their second chance. I absolutely adored both of these characters! If you've read either of the other two books then you will know Dalton as a basically good guy, and Zara is just the perfect foil to bring Dalton out and risk his heart. She's strong, quirky, and even though it's only in words, is a fantastic ambassador for healthy body image. The interaction between Dalton and Zara was excellent, and along with the usual supporting cast, and the addition of Zara's sidekick Antwon, this is an extremely enjoyable read. As this seems to be the final book in the series, I am disappointed that the uncles don't all get their HEA - that would have been fun.

“What I Like About You” is the third book in the Indigo Royal Resort series by Claire Hastings, and it’s terrific. You don’t have to have read the first two books in the series to enjoy this one, although you really should check them out as well. The leading man in this book, Dalton, appears as an important secondary character in both prior books about the Resort, where he works as First Mate on the charter boats. He’s a good-natured guy and supportive friend in those stories, and there is clearly a side to him that he keeps intensely private. I was looking forward to his story, and it surpassed all expectations.

Zara was Dalton’s absolute best friend from childhood … right up to senior prom, when he uttered despicable words that destroyed their friendship and shattered her heart. She grew up accustomed to cruel jibes and nasty comments about her plus-sized figure. Through sheer force of will and determination, and the support of her dearest friend from college, Zara has become a successful beauty blogger. Despite the emotional pain heaped upon her, she is still a sweet and kind person. When she arrives at the Resort as a VIP guest to visit and revue the new spa there, she and Dalton are shocked to see one another. They become immersed in a week that could potentially heal their rift and chart a new course for them, or could permanently reinforce the divide.

I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but it’s hard because this is such a great story. We learn about a lot of Zara’s triumphs, and can feel the pain of her struggle with accepting the fact that Dalton truly sees her as beautiful and desirable. Dalton’s character development is even more dramatic, I think. His personal family history is heartbreaking, his remorse about hurting Zara is painfully sincere, and the life-altering changes with which he must contend are dramatic. I couldn’t put this book down because it pulled me into the story so completely. The excellent secondary characters provide just enough counterpoint and humor to keep the more serious emotions from becoming overwhelming. Great book, excellent series, and I already pre-ordered the next one!

What a charming, romantic story. I loved Dalton from book one of the Indigo Royal Resort trilogy,with his caring, support and and helpful advice for high s friends. I always wondered what his background and story was, especially after his sister's brief appearance in book two.

Zara was a wonderful character who I could well relate to, being in the bigger side myself. I also loved her best friend and business partner, Antwan.

This was a lovely story of second, (or third), chances, and the things we do and say when we are going and foolish. Loved it!

This book is part of a series, but it was the first one I read and was able to understand the story. I simply loved it! I wanna go to this Resort that has amazing song names all over it and a crew that involves a group of friends that I wish were mine.

Tripp redeems himself with the love of his life. His “heir living on a beach” attitude shows how he acts through life until Zara comes back to him. He grovels (which I love) and tries to convince her of her worth and amazingness.

Zara is lovely. I enjoy reading about her job, but also her feelings and insecurities. It’s like listening to a friend. Their relationship is sweet and special and the Indigo Royal crew is the best. Also, the new characters and the story we will have next... Felicity! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I discovered this author when I read Checking It Twice in The Naughty List series. From there I read the Atlanta Rising series which I loved. Because I met Tripp and Zara in that series I wanted to learn more and really enjoyed books 2&3 of this series. I skipped book 1 of this series(not sure why) but I don’t feel like I missed too much.
You can read the series in any order but it was interesting to go back to the beginning when you first meet Felicity in Out of Bounds. She was less than pleasant in this book but you have the future story to really know why.
