The establishment media has found a terror threat it is genuinely worried about: that of Trump supporters. Meanwhile, back in the real world, the jihad, forgotten by nearly everyone, proceeds apace.
“Police arrest man, 47, on suspicion of ‘Islamist terrorism’ offences in Surrey,” by Clare McCarthy, Mailonline, January 8, 2021:
A man has been arrested in Surrey on suspicion of Islamist terrorism offences.
Police said the 47-year-old was detained at an address in the Redhill area today as part of an ongoing investigation.
Detectives from Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) arrested the man at an address on Friday under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act, which allows suspects to be held without a warrant.
There is not believed to be any imminent threat to the public….
CTPSE said in a statement: ‘The arrest, linked to Islamist terrorism, is part of an ongoing investigation and there is not believed to be any imminent threat to the public in relation to this. Inquiries continue.’

Very gradually the vocabulary is catching up with reality. “Islamist terrorism”: how about that? It is not quite as good as “Islamic terrorism”, but the authorities are constrained by politically-correct-speak that does not allow them to be quite so informative. At least we are spared “We may never know the motive”, or “mental issues”. Things are looking up.

Granted Michael it is getting a little bit better even though its still a bit cryptic. I’m just waiting for the day when they will call them for what they really are, just good muslims, practicing their religion.

It is also true though that there are an increasing number of people who call themselves Muslims who reject the “terror jihadist” element of Islam saying that it is a miss representation of their ideology which in an Islamist terrorists eyes makes them not a Muslim. Place keepers? Are they acting as place keepers for Islam within our society that we do not see the eventual threat that may befall our “multi cultural society”? until it is too late. They are increasingly using law to garner loosely fitting religious laws which they say protects Muslims which are designed to allow eventual door to door compliance, and still room for “interpretation ” as to what other actions… say – fines and enforced losses of income through the use of social media for disgracing the prophet with a book your granddad wrote. I am very concerned about the number of place keeping Muslims are serving (as they refer to it!) in our vital services and local councils and government offices where they are putting Islam before and above state .

Ah-ha. They take 10 years to look into sexual grooming by certain followers of _________(fill in blank here) yet quickly look at “suspected terrorism” by certain followers of __________(fill in blank here).
They certainly know their priorities. At least they are looking.

Westman, That’s just a tad cynical, anyone would think you are becoming jaded by the lack of truth in reporting?

Muslim leaders complain of rising ‘Islamophobia’
Clarino says
Perhaps we should begin to talk about “islamismophobia” from now on – because unlike islamophobia it does actually have some basis in fact.
