“Denmark should not adapt to Islam. Islam must adapt to Denmark,” says Mattias Tesfaye, but it is unclear how exactly he plans to bring that about. He should also reflect on the question of why it is that “a large part of Islam today is represented by extremists.”
“Denmark: Muslim immigration is the big problem,” Tekdeeps.com, January 22, 2021 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
It is Denmark’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Integration Mattias Tesfaye who now openly points out Islam and immigration from the Middle East as a problem.
In an interview with Jyllands-Posten, he says that “a large part of Islam today is represented by extremists”.
He is therefore planning a number of laws to stop radical Islam. Among other things, the government will settle with the country’s Muslim independent schools.
– Denmark should not adapt to Islam. Islam must adapt to Denmark, he tells Jyllands-Posten.
According to Tesfaye, Danish society tends to underestimate the role that Islam plays in immigrants because the Danes themselves are so secularized.
Without immigration from Muslim countries, he would not have had the job as integration minister because Denmark would not have had any integration problems then, Tesfaye believes….

Do Muslims think that the Koran’s 164 jihad verses are ‘EXTREME’ ??? They don’t. Jihad is the sixth, and most IMPORTANT pillar of Islam.

No Censorship says
Yesterday I clicked on the link to the original article so I could read the whole thing. Today I tried again and I got “page not found.” If we want to save our country, we need to put an end to this kind of censorship. It’s only getting worse.

All I could find was an article in ScandAsia dated Dec 20, 2020, as quoted:
“Mattias Tesfaye says: “If we only got immigration from China, the Philippines, Thailand and Brazil, you could fire me, because then we would not have integration challenges in Denmark.
Instead, the minister warns against increasing immigration from Middle Eastern countries, because as he says, “it presents challenges in schools, in shelters, problems with unemployment figures and with crime”. The above facts are based on three to four years of experience and therefore not something that should be overlooked, he adds”.
This guy certainly has a handle on the Muslim problem in his country, but I wonder if he is skating on thin ice here, jobwise, for actually saying something that is true.

Yes–it seems the story has been pulled.
And thanks for that information, Eleanor.

Even Danish Queen Margrethe II changed her mind about the desirability of Muslim migration to Denmark:
“We probably thought that this kind of thing would happen by itself. If you walked the streets of Copenhagen, drank the municipal tap water and took the local bus, you would probably become a Dane in a short time. It was so obvious for us, and therefore we thought that it must also apply to those who settled and lived here. It was not. Now we have learned,”
(Note that Queen Margarethe (PhD) is well-versed in Islam … her doctoral thesis was on the subject of Islamic art.)

Thanks for that information abourt the Danish Queen, Mortimer. Heartening.
Eleanor says
It’s very good to hear that she at least takes an interest mortimer – notice not a peep about Islam out of the British Royal Family, who surely must see their country crumbling around them.
gravenimage says
This is appalling but true. Queen Elizabeth did make a passing reference to Jihad terror in her Christmas address a few years ago, but otherwise the greatest threat Britain faces has been ignored by the royal family.
Frank Anderson says
The minister shows he knows nothing about islam, its history, teachings, goals and practices. A few hours reading a few books or talking with knowledgeable people, who are not muslim, would open his eyes. But, “there are none so blind as those who refuse to see.” He dare not see, because then he will be dismissed by other deliberately blind people as an islamophobe. “Deliberate ignorance constitutes knowledge of the truth.” This man is aiding in the conquest and takeover of his country. What a complete irony that Denmark took heroic action to protect Jews from Nazis only to surrender the entire country to islam now.
mortimer says
The main thing that Mattias Tesfaye should learn is that Muslims are forbidden to ‘integrate’ or to even ‘imitate’ the dirty Danish kafirs:
“It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever IMITATES a people is one of them.”
– (authentic ‘Sahih’ hadith)
Frank Anderson says
M. as far as i Know from my reading, as usual, you are correct.

Frank and Mortimer, at least Mattias Tesfaye realizes that Islam is a problem and is brave enough to say it–that is better than most leaders in the West.

I do believe that if it is a large part that seems to invalidate the extreme part.

Johnny B says
I’m Danish and this government is not to be trusted IMO. They say one thing then do the opposite. Apparently, that’s good enough for my fellow country men. But he’s right in that Danes in general have no idea what Islam is all about and how different it is, really, compared to Christianity. That’s the way it seems at least, often I suspect they just pretend they don’t know any better because they don’t like trouble. I don’t either, but I know for a fact that ISLAM SPELLS TROUBLE. We cannot cower away for ever..
PRCS says
You will only know for sure when ‘they’ are asked to explain how a regular Muslim’s understanding of Qur’an (in particular) differs from an extremist’s interpretation.
Ask ten politicians for that explanation and you’ll likely get at least eleven answers.

Please consider a suggestion from someone who wishes to be a friend. I urge you, showing your excellent command of English, to read our host’s (Robert Spencer’s) Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Crusades, and Bill Warner’s Abridged Koran, both available on Amazon Kindle for a reasonable price. A Kindle for PC reader is available for free and works well with Windows 10. Knowing for yourself can be a good step to helping others know. To me those are the first books of several that I would suggest for a start.
I have read about thirty and still lean more.
mortimer says
Johnny B writes: “they just pretend they don’t know any better”. I must disagree. In my experience, VERY MANY well-educated, intelligent men make SWEEPING GENERALIZATIONS about Islam without reading as SINGLE DAMN THING. They consider their unread opinions to be better than reading a book!
These otherwise smart men are used to making snap, political decisions based on their hunches.
They would not do so if were a question within their areas of expertise.
Frank Anderson says
Mortimer, I made that terrible error depending on the “Religion of peace” lie. It took many years to wake up. Damn the lie and the liar who told it and never owned up to its falsity.
Wellington says
Thank you for your comment, Jonny B, which is sadly too true—so many non-Muslims in the West, from whatever nation, continue to mire themselves in willful ignorance about Islam, which is the religious predecessor of Nazism, i.e., master faith v. master race, and with ancillary nonsense as well to “fill in the gaps.”
I would also like to extend kudos to you for your excellent English. Yours is perfect.
Johnny B says
Thanks, your all very kind, maybe a little too kind 🙂 Google helps a lot actually, it’s not all bad.
Frank Anderson, thank you for the suggestions.
Whether or not our fellow country men are or aren’t ignorant about Islam, it cannot be an excuse anylonger. We have plenty of opportunities to educate ourselves and everybody should realize by now how monumental the challenge is. Pretending this isn’t so is not going to solve anything, it’s just cowardly and wrong..
Wellington says
I wish the best to Denmark, Johnny B, a nation I have never had a reason to think negatively of historically speaking.
On a passing note, I really do enjoy aalborg akvavit (when I can find it). It makes for a better vodka martini than vodka itself does.
Best to you and your nation, which like so many other Western nations is struggling right now PRECISELY because Islam has been incorrectly assessed.
Finally, your Queen has shown more guts than the entire British Royal Family put together.
James Lincoln says

Another alcoholic “aquavitae”–these are very old, and date back in various forms to the Middle Ages.

Denmark’s Integration Minister: ‘A large part of Islam today is represented by extremists’
Well, nearly there! ‘Extremists’ represent ALL of Islam! Hopefully, Mattias Tesfaye will reach the truth about Islam’s ‘extremism’.
mortimer says
On the surface, Denmark’s Integration Minister is quite correct in his opinion: ‘A large part of Islam today is represented by extremists’.
Market research on Muslim attitudes reveals that most Muslims (about 65%) want Sharia law to be imposed and the same 65% also want a caliphate.
That is ‘extreme’ enough to destroy peace, stability, human rights and much of the world, if Muslims try to implement them. ISIS did severe damage in only two countries and would do much more if it spread.
tim gallagher says
The mistake he is making is in saying that a large part of Islam “today” is represented by extremists. Islam has always been like that. The blunder has been that so many western countries have assumed that Muslims would actually fit in with the way of life of western, civilised nations and have therefore let Muslims into their countries. Letting Muslims into non-Muslim countries is a massive mistake as Islam is 100% incompatible and Muslims are always going to be trying to impose their barbaric crap on everybody. If only these western countries had woken up earlier and, like Hungary and the other Visegrad bloc countries, slammed the door shut on Muslim migration into their countries.
Wellington says
Agreed, tim gallagher. Ignorance of evil, made all the worse when it is looked upon as something good, never benefits mankind and indeed always harms mankind, only the degree of harm being a variable. Right now, idiotic continued ignorance of Islam by so many in the West, including the new Administration in Washington, is a recipe for ongoing disaster with innumerable negative consequences looming on the horizon.
The mystery to me is how so many non-Muslims can remain so ignorant of Islam. It’s at times like this that I cannot help but conclude that the human species en masse is a collective idiot.
tim gallagher says
I agree with you, Wellington, about how so many people in our western societies seem to remain completely ignorant when it comes to Islam’s nature. It is a mystery to me as well how almost all the people in our western countries have not yet woken up to the complete incompatibility of Islam, with its barbaric views of life, and our western way of life. I will admit that it took me some time to wake up and learn about islam, but there are some unbelievably slow learners out there. From my experience, there are also many people in western countries who are just too nice and who want to be endlessly tolerant and pleasant to everybody and so they don’t like to say that even an ideology as evil as Islam is no good. It is a very foolish way to be because being too tolerant and not calling out evil for what it is is being complicit in that evil. Like you, I just wish everyone would wake the hell up when it comes to islam’s nature, then we might develop the right policies towards this evil ideology. I can’t imagine Biden’s administration ever facing the truth about islam.
Wellington says
Until a term like “radical Islam” is widely understood as redundant and that “extremists” in the malevolent and utterly screwed-up sphere of mankind which is Islamworld are correctly perceived as very good Muslims, the lethal and stupid games will continue.
Islam is the problem. All of it. In its entirety. In toto.
Those Muslims who don’t fulfill all the dictates of Islam for whatever reason—laziness, cowardice, ignorance of their own religion, etc.—actually give cover to Islam and thus it is possible to argue, and I would argue such, that so-called moderate Muslims are really the greater threat to the West than the “extremists” (N.B., read most devout here) are.
Better if every Muslim acted out with “enthusiasm” all the heinous dictates that Islam commands. If this were to occur, even most of the most dense would finally comprehend just how iniquitous Mohammedanism truly is. Perhaps even Joe Biden would “get this” but I’d bet against this in his case, so very dense about Islam (and so many other matters) this glorified nothing is.
PRCS says
CAIR–a so-called “moderate Muslim” organization–truly does give cover to Islam’s true teachings.
An aside: I’m waiting for Uncle Nihad and the gang to both loudly protest ‘ole Joe’s males in female restrooms/showers Executive Order and to demand an exception for Muslims girls/women.
James Lincoln says
Wellington,

Here is the UK government’s definition of extremism, in their “Prevent” strategy:
Extremism is vocal or active opposition to fundamental British values, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs…
Islam is, indeed, vocally and actively opposed to all those matters listed. Opposition to them is basic Islamic doctrine.
